David Beckham and his family continue to enjoy their summer vacations on board a luxury boat in which they are sailing the Mediterranean in search of the best beaches. In a matter of a few days they have travelled from Croatia to Italy’s Amalfi Coast and Saint-Tropez , this being one of the final stops.

A luxurious yacht that goes by the name of ‘ Madsummer’ and that was built in 2019 has the capacity for 12 people . It’s clearly a comfortable method for Family Beckham to spend some of their break together and they have shared some of their fun via their social media accounts, with snapshots that include images of the spacious boat and their locations.

There is no doubt that a yacht like the Madsummer is not suitable for all budgets, and it is that according to the Superyacht fan portal, it has an estimated value of US$229 million , making it one of the most luxurious and exclusive. It’s a boat with all kinds of details, including a cinema room, a children’s play area, a sauna, a spa, a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a multi-purpose gym .
And not all areas are on the same level, with the yacht offering an elevator to take its occupants to and from their chosen activity, while Wi-Fi connectivity and air conditioning go without saying . But, given the sunny locations being visited, activities are also encouraged outside, with the boat offering flyboards , jet skis , wakeboards , as well as a diving and fishing set. We’re still trying to identify if there is a library for educational book reading.
A rental of $1.6 million per week
This yacht is not Beckham’s property, but instead is rented in the summer season at around $1,600,000 per week, an outlay that the former Manchester United, Real Madrid, PSG and AC Milan player is said to have made to enjoy a few days of disconnection from a busy life with his family.
During this trip, the family was seen with one of their good friends, Sarah Ferguson , the former-wife of Prince Andrew, with whom they spent a day in Amalfi, in southwestern Italy.

Power couple David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly summering along the French Riviera , Amalfi Coast, Corsica, and Sardinia on a yacht dubbed Madsummer , according to the Daily Mail . The 95-meter vessel is available for private charter at the handsome price of roughly $1.926 million (£1.6 million) per week, touring the Mediterranean in the summer and the Caribbean and Bahamas in the winter. If they are indeed aboard, the Beckhams and their family have access to luxurious amenities that include a 12-meter swimming pool, spa, diving facilities, and a helipad.
Constructed in 2019 and designed specifically for private charters, the superyacht was built by Lurssen, a German family-run shipyard founded in 1875 and currently in its fourth generation. Madsummer can accommodate up to 12 guests in 10 guest cabins and a crew of up to 30, according to Moran Yacht and Ship , the company that manages the vessel. It has a steel hull and is capable of a speed of 18.5 knots.

The yacht’s exterior was designed by Harrison Eidsgaard, a London-based superyacht and aircraft design studio. The contemporary interiors were designed by Laura Sessa, who said in an interview with Superyacht Times that she is “often identified for [her] love of colors.” That is certainly clear from images of the structure’s interior, which benefit from bold swaths of bright color. Blues and reds are used most frequently, lending a classic maritime theme to the ship’s overall aesthetic. Attractive toffee-hued woods and textiles balance the intensity. Modern furniture is used throughout, often employing a pleasingly curvy silhouette. Every area provides a seemingly endless array of eye-catching details, and some practical hidden ones as well. “In my designs, I always like to incorporate special custom details in the mechanisms, knobs, and handles… I keep some things secret,” Sessa told Superyacht Times while pointing out hidden storage in a Madsummer hallway.

The Beckhams have been pictured enjoying jet skis, with flyboards, waterskis, fishing equipment and even scuba diving equipment also available.

Hot spots during the summer include Amalfi Coast, Corsica, French Riviera, Sardinia - all places that the Beckhams have enjoyed during their family getaway.
David and Victoria invited their close family, including their son Cruz, 17, and daughter Harper, 11, and friends to soak-up the sun with them.
They welcomed Cruz's new girlfriend Tana Holding on their trip with the pair looking loved-up during the getaway.
After being spotted together last month, Cruz is said to be 'smitten' with Tana, who keeps a low profile out of the public eye.

A source told The Sun : 'They make a really lovely couple and she is down-to-earth and really fun. She is not fazed by Cruz's fame and where he comes from.
'It is early days but Cruz seems smitten with Tana.'
It comes after Cruz, recently split from his ex-girlfriend Bliss Chapman. The couple were in a relationship for 18 months but reportedly decided to go their separate ways in March.

The Beckhams have been glamorously travelling around Europe aboard a super yacht reportedly costing $2.7 million per week. By Hayley Peppin
IF YOU HAVEN’T reached peak Euro summer jealously levels just yet — the Beckham’s holiday will surely tip you over the edge.
Much like all our friends and “followers” on social media (might be good time to mute them), the celebs have also been soaking up the Saint Tropez sun — or practically any affluent coastal area.
Naturally, their preferred choice of accommodation/travel includes a lavish super yacht — with this year’s most glam award going to the Beckhams.
The 311ft ‘Madsummer’ vessel has been hosting the Beckhams, and even the Duchess of York and Gigi Hadid, for the past week. (Hadid is a close friend of Nicola Peltz, who married the Beckhams’ eldest son, Brooklyn, during a decadent wedding estimated at $26 million. )
Madsummer has led to Spice Girls karaoke evenings — yes, Posh gloriously took to the mic yet again — dance-offs and lush jet ski adventures. It’s also reportedly being chartered around Italy, France and Croatia for around £1.6 million-per-week (AUD $2.7 million) per week.
Luxury amenities on board Madsummer include a sparkling pool, movie theatre, sauna, spa and massage room. The vessel also features a spacious deck, with interior furnishings including decadent seas-side accents and a blue and white palette.
Aside from jet-skis, the vessel also has scuba diving and wakeboarding equipment available for guests to enjoy — which the Beckhams have also seemingly taken a liking to. During her nearly daily Instagram Post/Story update, Victoria shared an image of her cozying up to David on a jetski.
“Yes, that’s right… @davidbeckham got me on a jet ski 😂😂 What next?!”
And if that wasn’t enough, Madsummer also includes 28 crew members for maximum holiday relaxation. Sports and fashion royalty truly needn’t lift a finger.

Celebrity couple, David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly spending their summer days cruising the Mediterranean on a €1.6 million chartered yacht called the Madsummer, according to the Daily Mail . They are joined by their children and some friends who are vacationing aboard. However, their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz were not present during the family holiday.
Since they have been onboard, the upscale yacht has been a hotspot for celebrity sightings. Famous friends like Gigi Hadid have been spotted boarding the luxurious yacht. According to Vogue , the supermodel is a close friend of Brooklyn's wife, Nicola who he married in April of this year.
The couple has shared photos of their sea-loving summer adventures on board the vessel with their fans on social media. Since their vacation began, they have been pictured doing everything from riding jet skis to collecting sea urchins in Croatia, to lounging on Madsummer's deck.
This yacht is for summer cruising
International yacht design company, Harrison Eidsgaard designed the Madsummer's sleek exterior while Laura Sessa Romboli designed the ship's nautical-themed interior. It is available for private charters throughout the year, mainly in the Mediterranean during the summer and the Caribbean in winter.
This 311-foot maritime wonder has plenty of room all over the ship. The Daily Mail reports that the ship features indoor and outdoor dining areas along with a beach club and private dancefloor for the Beckhams and their friends to party the night away. There is also space for sunbathing or doing workouts outside on its multiple decks. While on vacation, David cheekily posted a video to Instagram of his wife squeezing in a lunge workout around the superyacht as he drank his morning coffee.
Its sumptuous interior consists of ten suites and can accommodate up to 12 guests and 28 crew members, according to Moran Yacht and Ship . There is a huge 12-meter swimming pool on the main deck plus diving facilities on board. It also features an enormous spa, just in case anyone needs some downtime while cruising the high seas. And if the Beckham family needs to make a quick getaway, there is a large helipad on board for a helicopter to land on and swoop them away if they need to.

David Beckham and his family continue to make the most of their summer holidays in the Mediterranean Sea.
The Amalfi Coast, Croatia and Saint-Tropez have been some of the destinations chosen by the Briton.
The former footballer has chosen Madsummer as his vessel, a luxury yacht valued at 224 million euros, with capacity for 12 people and built only three years ago.
A luxury of 1.6m euros per week
It has a swimming pool, a spa, sauna, gym and all kinds of resources for activities and life away from land.
It also has several floors inside, air conditioning, a lift and Wi-Fi, among other outstanding facilities.
In addition, as is to be expected, resources for water and/or underwater activities such as skis, jet skis, diving and fishing equipment, flyboard and more alternatives so that the fun never stops.
The Madsummer is not a yacht owned by the Beckhams, but is used for charter during the summer period.
The estimated rental price of the yacht is 1.6m euros per week.
It's a price that the former Real Madrid player has wanted to take advantage of to relax and be seen with other celebrities in Amalfi (Italy), where the family has met with friends such as Sarah Fergurson, ex-wife of Prince Andrew.

95m Lürssen motor yacht Madsummer sold
The 95-metre Lürssen superyacht Madsummer has been sold in-house by Moran Yacht & Ship .
Built in steel and aluminium by German yard Lürssen to a design by Harrison Eidsgaard, she was delivered in 2019 and went on to win a Judges’ Commendation at the 2020 World Superyacht Awards . She was commissioned by an owner in the market for a new plane as well as a boat and, as a result, there is a dedicated deck for the owner's seaplane.
Italian Laura Sessa designed the boat’s interior – by far her largest project since splitting from the Alberto Pinto studio – and she incorporated a feast of primary hues. Moran calls it “a modern beach house vibe with ample entertainment areas”.
She can sleep up to 12 guests in 10 spacious staterooms with six of the yacht's guest cabins positioned forward on the main deck. Each cabin has its own colourful theme with lacquered sycamore wardrobe doors, silk carpeting and custom furnishings. Each cabin also benefits from an en-suite bathroom featuring hand-dyed mother-of-pearl framed mirrors and bright Calacatta marble throughout.
The upper deck houses three more guest cabins: a double and two VIP suites that mirror each other in layout. Again, designed with a punch of colour and accents of woods, marble and silks.
The bridge deck features the private master suite aft and the bridge forward. The cabin is expressive with its generous use of blues, accented with whites and reds. The space is colourfully appointed and completely private from other areas of the yacht, including an aft-facing private terrace only accessible from the master cabin.
Colour is also the theme in the main saloon, where a lavish Tai Ping silk carpet greets guests with stripes of white and a rich blue. On the wall is artwork by artist Santiago Montoya that overlooks the dining table.
A gym is located on the sun deck, which is also home to a Jacuzzi spa forward and a hardened deck aft designed to hold the weight of a Husky seaplane. A crane hidden in the bulwark is used to hoist the aircraft to and from the water, and when the aircraft is not present, the space becomes a dance floor and party space. There is also a fully certified helideck at the bow, capable of supporting an EC135 (around three tonnes).

A Closer Look at the Madsummer Yacht
The luxury yacht Madsummer has built itself a reputation as a party boat. The name “Madsummer” seems to just be a play on Midsummer with a twist. While still under construction, Madsummer was known by the codename Project Fiji.
The yacht features an interior design by Studio Laura Sessa Design while the exterior design of the Madsummer was handled by Harrison Eidsgaard. She famously hosted parties by David and Victoria Beckham. She was built by German shipyard Lürssen Yachts.
Who Owns the Luxury Yacht Madsummer?
Madsummer is owned by American billionaire Jeffrey Soffer, who you may know as model Elle MacPherson’s ex-husband. He’s also a successful businessman, co-CEO of Turnberry Associates, and real estate developer with a net worth estimated to be about $2.2 billion. He’s known to have an appreciation for luxury yachts and the Madsummer is not his first.
Like many yacht lovers, Soffer has chosen to name multiple yachts Madsummer. He sold his previous Madsummer in 2018 before acquiring this latest version.
How Big is the Motor Yacht Madsummer?
The Madsummer is definitely a superyacht by any standards. It measures a remarkably 311’8” in length and while that may not make it the largest yacht in the world it’s an impressive size nonetheless. The yacht’s beam measures nearly 46’ across and it features a 12’6” draft as well. The vessel weighs in at 3,250 GT.
All that room means the yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests and 28 crew members.
How Fast is the Madsummer Yacht and What Engines Does it Use?
The Madsummer is powered by a pair of twin MTU engines. They allow her to cruise at 16 knots. The maximum speed is 18 knots and she is able to get to a range of up to 6,000 nautical miles from her 300,000 liter fuel tanks.
How Much Did The Madsummer Yacht Cost?
Word is that the Madsummer cost Soffer $250 million back in 2019. That doesn’t put it in the running to be the most expensive yacht ever built by a long shot but you don’t need us to tell you it’s still a steep price tag.
Is the Madsummer Available for Yacht Charter?
The Madsummer is available for charter for those interested. Many owners will make a luxury yacht available for charter for any number of reasons. With a rumored yearly operating cost of $15 million to $25 million, the charter fees can definitely help cut that down and save the owner money. In addition, charter yachts are eligible for various tax breaks throughout Europe, which also makes it an enticing proposition.
You can charter the Madsummer for about $1,755,000 per week, depending on availability. The price starts at the same level whether you’re looking to charter in the low season or the high season. It does not cover expenses like food, fuel and various other fees
What’s the Interior of the Madsummer Yacht Like?
While many yacht owners opt for a sort of classical look for their yacht interiors, using muted color palettes or natural wood, stone, and metals, Madsummer is much brighter.The interior design makes use of plenty of bright, primary colors to give it a more fun and youthful vibe than a lot of other yachts. You’ll notice in the photos this looks a lot more like an apartment than some other yachts which resemble high class hotels or even museums. The bright blue color scheme with accents in red and white is pervasive throughout the entire vessel.
Six of the yacht’s 10 cabins can be found at the main deck forward.There are four identical double cabins aft and then two twins forward. Each of the cabins have their own custom color scheme. In the doubles guests will find red, turquoise, blue and beige. Head to the twins and it’s green and navy blue.
The upper deck is where the final twin is kept, alongside two VIP cabins. They get a little more elegant with one in blue and the other in orange. But they also feature plenty of wood accents and bronze touches as well to make them stand out even more. The bathrooms even have rose gold taps.
The master suite is to the aft of the bridge deck. If you’re not a fan of white and blue then this room will blow your mind. Even the oak walls were tinter white and covered with a blue resin lacquer to flesh out the look.
Inside the suite you’ll find his-and-hers dressing rooms with spy mirror wardrobe doors. The his and hers bathrooms have also been custom designed with her bathroom being a brighter and cleaner esthetic and his bathroom featuring dark marble and painted teak.
The master suite also heads out onto a private aft terrace for views of the ocean.
Features and Amenities
As you can imagine, Madsummer’s owner is someone who wanted the yacht to be fun and offer a lot of relaxing and exciting features to those on board. As such there are a lot of amenities to enjoy. Madsummer features:
- The most obvious feature from the outside is the helipad located towards the bow of the vessel to allow guests to arrive and depart even when Madsummer is at sea.
- A long, 12 meter or 36 foot swimming pool with jacuzzi is also a standout feature visible even from outside the vessel.
- There’s a custom dining table and artwork from Colombian artist Santiago Montoya
- For charter guests with families the Madsummer has the very unique feature of a children’s playroom, something you won’t find on almost any other luxury yacht on the water today
- A disco area featuring a dance floor and state of the art sound system
- An ethanol-fueled fire pit with a Teppanyaki grill and bar
- An elevator transports guests between the four decks and, for those who prefer to get exercise, a spiral staircase with white leather stairs encircles it all the way down.
- A movie theater is located over the bow and features sofas with stainless steel snack trays and built in phone chargers. The movie theater also features unique and massive 2 m by 3 m windows with electrically switchable glass.
- The upper deck salon features a bar with a white grand piano
- A large sea terrace off the master suit with hanging egg chairs and sofas
- A massive exterior dining space upper deck aft has sliding glass windbreakers to protect from the elements
- The sundeck features a well-equipped gym with a kinesis machine and numerous hidden TV screens
- To the aft of the sundeck you’ll find a storage space that can house a Husky seaplane. Seaplanes are actually a theme throughout the yacht in much of the art as well. The owner is a fan of vintage seaplanes.The seaplane can be lowered to the water with a crane when the vessel is at anchor and the storage bay serves as a dance floor
- The entire yacht is replete with sunpads, sofas and lounge areas on every deck
- A luxury spa area with a sauna and massage room is available to help guests relax and unwind
- The beach club opens out onto a hydraulic swim platform when you’re ready to get out and enjoy the open water

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, with grp & teak decks, she has impressive speed and great efficiency thanks to her planing hull. Powered by 3 x diesel MTU (16V2000M91) engines, she comfortably cruises at 40 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 52 knots with a range of up to 350 nautical miles from her 9,000 litre fuel tanks at 40 knots. Her low draft of 1.2m/3'11" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. Her water tanks store around 1,200 Litres of fresh water. She was built to RINA (Registro Italiano Navale) classification society rules.
