Description.

The Hatteras 68 Convertible sports a 192-square-foot cockpit that includes a mezzanine deck for superior seating and amenities. The mezzanine houses double- size bait freezer, insulated storage tubs, tackle drawers, insulated drink storage and more. The mezzanine is designed in modular fashion, which allows each owner to customize the location of various components such as freezer, ice box or optional baitwell. Below the cockpit deck is a large, open lazarette accessible through the engine room hatch. The compartment provides an excellent location for equipment and gear storage, while an aft isolation bulkhead with door allows easy inspection of steering components. The engine room contains no space-stealing air boxes on the hull sides or air-induction vents on the exterior. That's because the 68 features a forced ventilation system that draws air from beneath the cockpit coaming.

The open flybridge arrangement offers wrap-around seating forward of the console along with a deep freeze and insulated chill box. The extended overhang is topped with two Murray Products helm chairs. A rear-facing jump seat provides quick access to the cockpit ladder. Hatteras' computer-based touch-screen system monitor is standard, and a generous electronics allowance will easily outfit the power-actuated electronics console. The pod-style helm station includes single-lever controls with emergency backup controls standard. 

With its convex hull shape, deep propeller tunnels, large props and deep reduction gears, the 68 will deliver a shallow draft and competitive performance.

68' Hatteras "CLAIRE TOO" is the lowest hour 68 on the market with only 1475 original hours. She has a large beam - 21.6 ft and features a full beam master stateroom. The VIP is forward with a queen berth. Port and starboard staterooms have twin berths.

Welcome aboard the 2006 68 Hatteras Enclosed Bridge "ASIAN PEARL".  The moment you step into her 192 square foot cockpit you realize the level of sportfish battlewagon you are on board. Her cockpit is all business but does offer a softer side. The full teak package, raised mezzanine seating and custom cockpit sunshade offer comfort and beauty to go along with her Braun.   Additional cockpit features include:

The Salon entrance from the cockpit is slightly offset to stbd.  The salon feels huge inside thanks to her 21'7" beam.  The high gloss African mahogany woodwork exudes beauty and elegance to compliment a tasteful simple interior décor.  Large salon windows offer excellent natural light.  There is a large U-shaped beige leather sofa to port with a proportionally large high gloss teak coffee table. Immediately to stbd is the optional interior spiral staircase leading up to the enclosed bridge. Moving forward on the starboard side there is a large, updated Sony flatscreen TV and drink ice maker. Up one step, you transition from the carpeted salon to the Amtico teak pattern flooring of the galley and dinette level.  The oversized leather dinette is to stbd with a grey, white and black speckled granite table.  Matching galley countertops are across to port with (4) Sub Zero undercounter refrigerator freezer drawers (2) (2). The cabinetry is all raised panel, high gloss African mahogany in keeping with the rest of the interior.  The galley features everything a shipboard gourmet would require including:

Six steps down the centerline semi spiral carpeted stairwell brings us to the lower accommodations.  The layout below features a four stateroom three head arrangement with the highlight being the full beam master stateroom aft.

The full beam master is nothing short of magnificent and rare for a vessel her size.  The bed is an Island King with high gloss molded in night stands on either side. Additional master stateroom highlight include:

Forward of the master to port at the base of the stairwell is the first of three heads.  It has day head access from the hallway and private access, if desired from the bunk bed stateroom just forward to port.  Across the hallway to stbd is the twin bed guest stateroom which has a full ensuite head.  Moving forward and across the hall we have an updated GE over under washer dryer.

In the forepeak of ASIAN PEARL is the VIP stateroom.  The features of this guest room include:

Visibility all around is excellent.  The high gloss African mahogany wood theme carries into the bridge.  There are two large leather captain's chairs on centerline forward, flanked on either outboard side with additional fwd facing seats. To stbd, there is a sink and wetbar with a refrigerator. To port aft, there is a raised leather L shaped sofa.  The helm station fwd offers the captain a full array of navigation electronics to plan and execute safe passages.  Helm station electronics include:

There is a door on the aft bulkhead of the enclosed bridge that brings you out to the aft bridge deck.  The aft bridge deck has new (06/24) Sea Deck custom flooring. To port is a fully equipped helm station with cockpit visibility for pelagic battles.  Also, the aft enclosed bridge window was custom designed to lower electrically for improved visibility and communication purposes.  There is additional aft facing seating outside for spectators and a nine-rod holder aft bridge deck rail.  Tower steps are accessible from either side and the captain can run from the tower with full navigation and communication systems.

The engine room is the nerve center of ASIAN PEARL and the beneficiary of meticulous maintenance and huge upgrades over the years. Both ZF transmissions were completely rebuilt and finished.  Both ONAN generators were replaced and have low hours: Stbd 415 Port: 1300. The engine room has been painted and detailed to be as clean as the rest of the vessel.  All of her AC compressors and air handlers have been updated.  Additional engine room features include:

Climb aboard Pilot Lounge , a 64’ Hatteras yacht, and the first thing you might notice is the quietude onboard with the engines running. Pilot Lounge was built with optional twin MTU engines that throttle up to 3,000 horsepower combined, which was an upgrade over the standard Caterpillar diesels. With its three-stateroom and three-head layout, Pilot Lounge is a solid option for family and friends that want to stay on board for extended cruises. 

A large sliding glass door from the motoryacht’s aft deck provides access to the salon where you will find a custom sofa with stowage, two club chairs, a 42-inch flat screen TV, wine chiller and refrigerator. All of the comforts of home are brought together with first-rate high-gloss cherrywood and carpet. Large windows on both the starboard and port sides of the yacht, along with the large sliding glass doors, allow guests to feel as if they were sitting on deck, but within climate-controlled comfort. The windows and ambient light also enhance the sense of openness and volume. Other amenities in the salon include:

Walking through the galley, which has a U-shaped design with high-gloss cherrywood cabinets, leads to the lower helm station. The helmsman has the comfort of a Pompanette captain’s chair, which can be rotated for additional seating at the portside dinette. The helm console is trimmed with high-gloss cherrywood. From the Garmin, Simrad and Furuno electronics to the hydraulic bow thruster, Yacht Controller and more (see below), the skipper has all the tools needed for safe and pleasurable navigation at his fingertips. Steps to port lead to the flybridge while a watertight pantograph door to starboard provides access to the side deck. Other lower helm features include:

Pilot Lounge’ s 282-square-foot flybridge is accessible from the stairs adjacent to the galley, or a set of stairs on the aft deck. The flybridge has a fiberglass hardtop, and is enclosed with Strataglass on four sides. The flybridge is air conditioned, contains a sink and two electric grills. Guests can enjoy a comfortable meal at the L-shaped settee with dining table, which is located to the port side just abaft the helm. The captain has a centerline helm with clean sightlines and arn’s-reach-access to the instrumentation and electronic navigation equipment. Other features on the flybride include:

When the day’s cruise is over, retire to one of three staterooms belowdecks. The owners’ stateroom has a king-sized berth on centerline. The room also has two nightstands, two hanging lockers and multiple drawers for stowage. The VIP guest stateroom has a walkaround queen-sized berth and also has two hanging lockers, cabinets and drawers for stowage. A third stateroom with twin berths can be found on the port side of the vessel. Easy access from the companionway makes this stateroom a great day bed idea for guests looking for a short rest. All three staterooms have private heads.

The Hatteras 68 Convertible sports a 192-square-foot cockpit that includes a mezzanine deck for superior seating and amenities. The mezzanine houses double- size bait freezer, insulated storage tubs, tackle drawers, insulated drink storage and more. The mezzanine is designed in modular fashion, which allows each owner to customize the location of various components such as freezer, ice box or optional baitwell. Below the cockpit deck is a large, open lazarette accessible through the engine room hatch. The compartment provides an excellent location for equipment and gear storage, while an aft isolation bulkhead with door allows easy inspection of steering components. The engine room contains no space-stealing air boxes on the hull sides or air-induction vents on the exterior. That's because the 68 features a forced ventilation system that draws air from beneath the cockpit coaming.

The open flybridge arrangement offers wrap-around seating forward of the console along with a deep freeze and insulated chill box. The extended overhang is topped with two Murray Products helm chairs. A rear-facing jump seat provides quick access to the cockpit ladder. Hatteras' computer-based touch-screen system monitor is standard, and a generous electronics allowance will easily outfit the power-actuated electronics console. The pod-style helm station includes single-lever controls with emergency backup controls standard. 

With its convex hull shape, deep propeller tunnels, large props and deep reduction gears, the 68 will deliver a shallow draft and competitive performance.

68' Hatteras "CLAIRE TOO" has only had 2 owners since new.  Lowest hour 68 on the market with only 1475 original hours.  Lightly fished and captain maintained.  She has a large beam - 21.6 ft and features a full beam master stateroom. The VIP is forward with a queen berth. Port and starboard staterooms have twin berths.

Famous Sportfishing Boat Owned By Jimmy Buffett Listed For Sale

Once known as " LAST MANGO II " and owned by Jimmy Buffett, this classic 42-foot Rybovich Spencer is now listed for sale in Montauk , New York with SI Yachts broker Steve Messenger. No longer donning the name bestowed upon it by the famous Margaritaville singer, this sportfishing yacht built in 2003 has been called " BLUE EYES II " since the current owner purchased it from Buffett.

"The owner of the boat was personal friends with Jimmy and bought it from him directly," said Steve . "It was custom built for Jimmy Buffett by Rybovich Spencer and when it was completed, he had the shipyard completely destroy the mold, so it could never again be copied."

Buffett made countless trips throughout the Florida Keys, Bahamas, and up to the Hudson Canyon fishing with friends, putting nearly 5,000 hours on the twin 670-hp Cummins QSM11 diesel inboards. The engines have since been re-manufactured and the top end speed is now 35 knots, with a cruise speed of 24 knots. The asking price is listed at $999,000.

Originally called Staten Island Yacht Sales before expanding into other markets, SI Yachts was founded in 1964 by Frank Bongiorno. Frank, who established the company as the longest operating Viking Yachts dealer in the world, as well as revitalized Staten Island Marina, has retired after more than 60 years in the marine industry. 

SI Yachts is a new boat dealer for premium brands such as Viking , Princess, Absolute, Prestige, Pardo Yachts, Valhalla Boatworks , and Scout Boats . The company has expanded over the years with offices in Jupiter, Florida, Newport, Rhode Island, Old Saybrook, Connecticut, and five locations throughout New York.
