The steel-hulled yacht has a beam of 58’5” with a draft of 15’9”. It will have 11 cabins for 20 guests and crew quarters for 40. The images show five decks, with a large electronics arch that defines the profile. The yacht has a helipad on the foredeck and large sweeping swim platform at the transom.

“This milestone is always a special moment in the construction process,” said Moran Yacht & Ship in announcing the launch. “We are incredibly proud of Project JAG, and her successful delivery early next year will be a testament to our new construction team’s experience, capability, and ingenuity.”

Moran Yacht & Ship and Lürssen have partnered on multiple projects over the years. Its most recent was the 378-foot Ahpo , which was launched last year. That vessel featured a beach club with a mosaicked spa, drop-down sea terrace, hammam, sauna and four pools. It also had a one of the most impressive gyms on a recent launch. The boat was chartered last summer by its Jamaican owner, but was later sold to a new owner, with Moran as the broker.

Project Jag is one of seven projects that Moran Yacht & Ship is overseeing, including four above 100 meters (328 feet). It is scheduled to be delivered to its owner sometime next year.

Lurssen has launched the 400-foot mammoth, $360 million Project Jag owned by Jacksonville Jaguars billionaire owner Shahid Khan. The superyacht will feature indoor and outdoor cinema, spa, gym, and a beautiful silver Jaguar mascot on her bow.

Lurssen is grabbing eyeballs owing to the launch of a mammoth 400-foot luxury vessel, Project Jag . The ship cloaked in secrecy throughout her build gave the world a glimpse into its majestic demeanor and a few clues that made it easy to guess the affluent owner. The newly finished superyacht evidently belongs to the billionaire owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham F.C., Shahid Khan. The third superyacht of the sports tycoon boasted a Nuvolari Lenard exterior as she hit the water in Rendsburg, Germany.

The vessel is believed to be a replacement for the Pakistan-born businessman’s $200 million yacht Kismet , bearing similar design signatures – an elongated bowsprit, al fresco deck space, and the instantly recognizable Jaguar mascot that is positioned under the bowsprit on this ship.

Lürssen’s Spectacular 122m Motor Yacht Project JAG Launched

Lürssen have launched their 122m superyacht Project JAG; a highly impressive vessel which reflects Lürssen’s commitment to building the most spectacular superyachts in the industry, evidenced by three out of five of this year’s largest launches being Lürssen’s. With stand-out features able to suit the needs of every guest on board, she is the pinnacle of luxury.

Project JAG was sold in 2019 at the Monaco Yacht Show  and was first seen 2021, in which her hull and superstructure were revealed. Since then, she has been a highly anticipated launch from Lürssen . She is an impressive build with a LOA of 122m, with exterior design by Nuvolari Lenard and interiors penned by Reymond Langton. She has a sleek and sophisticated profile, with monochromatic black and white tones accented with splashes of red; an eye-catching launch at the Schacht-Audorf facility. 

Project JAG can accomodate up to 20 guests across 11 staterooms, taken care by a crew of 40, ensuring the ultimate luxury experience. She has a beam of 17.8m, boasting exceptional space on board, so guests can have the most comfortable experience possible. 

She is one of seven projects currently under construction with Moran Yacht & Ship and one of four over 100m. Whilst exact details about her design features remain sparse, we can only expect them to be as impressive as her exterior design.

Tributes paid to Mike Lynch, 'genius father of modern AI', after death in Bayesian yacht sinking

Tributes have been paid to "genius polymath" Mike Lynch after his body and that of his daughter were recovered from the sea off the coast of Sicily.

The tech boss's luxury yacht, Bayesian, was moored around half a mile off the coast of Porticello when it sank as the area was hit by a storm. The bodies of Mr Lynch, Morgan Stanley International bank chairman Jonathan Bloomer, his wife Judy Bloomer, Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo, and his wife Neda Morvillo have all now been recovered from the sea, while a sixth body, believed to be Mr Lynch's 18-year-old Hannah, was found on Friday morning.

Tributes from his friends and former colleagues described his contribution to the advancement of artificial intelligencem, and reflected on his personal warmth.

David Tabizel, Lynch's co-founder at Autonomy - the company that was sold to Hewlett-Packard for $11bn in 2011, and later subject to fraud investigations - said: "RIP to my friend Mike Lynch. He was exhausting, exhilarating and incisive.

"A witty, loyal polymath with a mind like a razor blade. A glorious professional companion and true friend.

"Britain's Bill Gates? Not really. Britain's Steve Jobs. The father of modern AI.

"His sense of fun and humour and inner child was on full display and was great company. When I met him, he had just designed a video game console, the Atari Jaguar. With a giant train-set in his garden and sense of the absurd he was a pleasure to spend time with."

"He’d have gone on to achieve even greater things if he’d lived, I’m sure. He could do anything if he put his mind to it. Britain today needs as much rational leadership to climb out of economic malaise Dr Lynch would have been the ultimate, inspirational leader of such a movement."

Mr Lynch, who was 59, lived in Loudham Hall near Woodbridge in Suffolk and served as Deputy Lieutenant of Suffolk.

Clare, Countess of Euston, Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk, said: "Mike was one of Suffolk’s most inspirational citizens.

"He was quite simply a genius. A global leader in his field but so much more than that.

"A kind and compassionate man who was always ready to help, hugely generous, the best of friends, but it will be his warm and wonderful smile that will be impossible for me to forget."

Following the sale of Autonomy, Mr Lynch co-founded Darktrace, a cyber security firm based in Cambridge.

A spokesperson for Darktrace said: "We are shocked and saddened by the news... Mike was an active champion in the UK's technology sector and a committed husband and father.

"His loss will be felt by many. Our thoughts are with his family and all the families who have lost loved ones in this awful event."

Eleanor Lightbody, the chief executive of Luminance, a Cambridge-based AI company that Mr Lynch also founded, said: "Mike was a visionary unlike any other.
