Overall rating

The general manager, Brian, worked like he was prepping and coordinating an event for the president of the United States. We went to a wedding at the yacht club. Everything was perfect. Food came out quickly and they made sure everyone on the table got their food at the same time. The food was amazing. The appetizers were seasoned shrimp cocktail, curry chicken skewer with peanut sauce, beef on skewer, crab cakes, sausage wrapped in a roll, roasted veggies and potatoes, and lamb. Dinner options were prime rib, fish stuffed with crab (gluten free), vegetarian, and the kids had fries and chicken nuggets or grilled cheese sandwich. They had two bars open so the 160 adults could have a drink in hand within 30 Minutes. They were on top of things. It was flawless because of the conductor, Brian. Outstanding job!

Sunset at the Avalon Yacht Club

Beautiful location for a small to medium sized wedding. It's cozy and beautiful location. Best time to have a wedding is in September after the crowd leaves and before the cold comes.

This is the perfect venue for a wedding. Plenty of parking, gorgeous views of the water and the service was impeccable. Jared helped us manage our 200 person wedding ceremony and reception. We loved the intimate size of the dining areas and the bar was perfect for serving everyone while waiting for the guests to be seated. The hordeurves were passed and each warm and delicious. Prior to the ceremony, we enjoyed our private room upstairs away from the guests and while we got ready to enter the reception. The space for the band was perfect and plenty of room for dancing. We would book this venue again in a minute.

Awesome sunset view.  

Exquisite food and wonderful entertainment. This place is set in a wonderful location and if you're fortunate enough to get to go here, you will not regret it. Highly recommend the crab cakes.

Rebuilt in 1998, the Avalon Yacht Club has been one of the Jersey Shore’s most breathtaking private club venues. With every view overlooking the water, our exquisite location along the bay makes the Avalon Yacht Club an ideal location to host your wedding. Philadelphia Magazine rated the Avalon Yacht Club best of the shore for wedding sunsets. Weddings are hosted during the spring and fall seasons, but unfortunately not during the summer months of July and August, when the club is in season. At the Avalon Yacht Club a well seasoned staff caters to your every need, whether you have a large, extravagant wedding or a small, intimate reception. When you have your wedding at the Avalon Yacht Club a year membership is included in the wedding package so you will be able to enjoy the atmosphere for more than just your special day. Wedding ceremonies can take place in front of a magnificent view on the north deck, weather permitting. Otherwise, the ceremony can be held on an indoor balcony.

Jarrod Sykes, the onsite event manager, will gladly coordinate all planning and details for your wedding. Jarrod has been a part of the Avalon Yacht Club team for the past 19 years. He will assist you in getting the perfect floral arrangements, entertainment, wedding cake and every intricate detail to make your wedding day everything you ever dreamed. Jarrod will also help plan your reception around the exact time of sunset, to ensure beautiful wedding pictures with the best background nature can provide. Peter Mark, the executive chef of the Avalon Yacht Club for over 25 years, will provide the cuisine for your special day. From a one entrée dinner, to a choice of three, Chef Peter will work with you one on one to figure out which foods will best cater to you and your guests. The rental fee is $1,500 for a reception and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time and additional hours can be arranged for a fee. "The Avalon Yacht Club was the absolute perfect wedding venue. From the ceremony and reception, to the views, to the incredible food and staff this place is amazing. If you are looking to have the best wedding ever, this is the place. We really can’t thank you all enough for the best day of our lives, especially the AYC coordinators Jarrod and Brian. Our wedding day was seamlessly perfect. Jarrod answered all of my questions and helped me get together my day of time line ahead of time, they even set up all of our decor beautifully. On our wedding day we had absolutely nothing to worry about (Brian even helped carry my train during pictures) Also compliments to Chef Peter our guests have been giving us so many compliments on how the food at our wedding was the best they ever had. If you are looking for a venue that has it all, this is the place for you. To save you some time visit them first, check out the ceremony space on the bay view deck and you won’t even need to see any other venues. Thanks again for helping us have our dream wedding. "

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Everything came together perfectly thanks to the staff at the Avalon Yacht Club. The managers, Jarrod & Brian, coordinated every detail and made our day worry free We knew we made the right decision after our first meeting there. They are well connected with a lot of different vendors in the area. Every part of the perception was planned out os the night went seamlessly. I was a carefree bride!!! Chef Peter, Seth, and Steve set us up with the most amazing food. They had a lot of options for appetizers and desserts and made great recommendations. You also can’t beat the views at this place! We planned to see the sunset at cocktail hour and it was absolutely gorgeous. We have received endless compliments since the wedding on how much fun it was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
