A superyacht owned by Walmart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie attracted attention recently after being spotted in Miami, Florida.

A TikToker posted a video of "Kaos," Walton Laurie's 361-foot luxury yacht, as it was moored outside her "front door."

"Oh wow, this thing is huge," Bridget Brick says in the video, adding that the yacht "looks like a small city."

Walton Laurie, worth $7.5 billion according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index , is the youngest daughter of Walmart co-founder James "Bud" Walton. She inherited her father's stake in the company when he died in 1995.

According to Bloomberg , she has a stake of less than 5% in Walmart, with the rest of the family's holding controlled by her sister, Ann Walton Kroenke. 

Walton Laurie is the founder of a New York-based dance group called the Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. She also owns a dance studio located in Columbia, Missouri called the Columbia Performing Arts Centre.

According to Yacht Bible , Kaos has four decks and room for 31 guests as well as 45 crew, with the largest deck boasting a swimming pool and even an aquarium. 

It also has a large cinema, sauna, and full spa facilities, the site says.

Photos shared by the Superyacht Times appear to show other features such as a helipad, a jacuzzi, and storage space for a smaller boat. 

"Kaos" was built in the Netherlands by Oceanco, a custom yacht builder which also constructed Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' $500 million megayacht .

"Kaos" was previously named "Al Menwar" by the House of Thani, the Qatari royal family, per the Yacht Bible.

The yacht was fully refitted in 2020 by Luerssen in Hamburg, Germany, per the Yacht Bible, while the interior was redesigned with help from Reymond Langton Design.

Walton Laurie reportedly also owns another lavish superyacht called "Secret," according to Robb Report .

KAOS Yacht – Extravagant $300M Superyacht

KAOS yacht (formerly JUBILEE and AL MENWAR) is an award-winning superyacht that was recently refitted with a completely redesigned interior.

At 110 metres (361ft) and 4,523 tons, she was the largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands at the time of her launch in 2017.

The vessel was recently spotted off the coast of southern Spain before dropping anchor in the beach town of Marbella.

Kaos yacht interior

The interior of the motor yacht was originally designed by Sam Sorgiovanni who is originally from Australia and aims to unite practicality with beauty through his unique designs.

The vessel was made completely wheelchair accessible including elevators and barrier-free access to all decks. 

The process took a year and with the help of the British designer Reymond Langton, the interior was transformed.

KAOS has room for 31 guests in 16 cabins. This includes a lavish owner’s suite which consists of two separate bedrooms.

There are also four VIP suites and ten standard suites with ensuite bathrooms. All guest cabins are located on the upper deck. 

45 staff distributed across 24 cabins find space on the lower levels of the vessel. Only the cabins for the captain and first officer are located on the bridge deck.

The KAOS yacht was designed with maximum comfort in mind. Her interior includes lavish facilities such as a spacious elevator, a steam room, a full gym, as well as an indoor beach club.

Originally she was constructed with Middle Eastern design in mind which includes features such as a large majelis, which is a dedicated seating and entertainment area meant for hosting guests.

The KAOS yacht also has a large cinema, a sauna, and full spa facilities. Below the deck, there is a separate crew gym and a small hospital in case of medical emergencies.

The interior design can be described as lavish and luxurious. White and blue carpeted floors with intricate designs compliment the exterior of the vessel and its signature aqua color.

Golden accents and cream upholstery go well with the wooden elements such as the teak flooring.

Opulent furnishing with many indirect lighting accents creates a feeling of coziness and luxury. 

Specifications

At the time of her launch in 2017, the KAOS yacht was the largest yacht ever built by the custom yacht builder Oceano as well as the largest yacht built in the Netherlands.

At a length of 110 meters (361ft), a beam of 16.4 meters (53 ft), and a maximum draft of 4.4 meters (14.5 ft), she is currently ranked as the 39th largest motor yacht in the world, together with motor yachts ANNA, RADIANT and AL RAYA who measure the same length.

She displaces 4,523 tons and is known for her unusual design, which is very sleek and minimalist.

KAOS can reach speeds of up to 19 knots with an average speed of 15 knots which is not the fastest in her weight category but still impressive for her large size.

As expected from Oceano, she was constructed primarily from aluminum and steel and has a fuel capacity of 391,000 liters as well as a 230,000-litre freshwater tank. She is powered by impressive MTU engines fuelling two propellers.

The KAOS yacht can host 31 guests in 16 cabins as well as 45 crew in 24 cabins. Her maximum range is estimated to be somewhere around 5,000 nautical miles.

The KAOS yacht is an exceptionally beautiful yacht that was built prioritizing modern and minimalist design.

Lobanov Design is responsible for her eye-catching exterior, which focuses on futuristic elements combined with optical illusions. 

Established in 2007, this design studio is known to be young, offering unique perspectives and modern approaches.

She was built with curved lines in mind incorporating elements of glass and metal in a nautical context.

Her all-around glass fronts create an optical illusion letting the yacht appear to have several more decks than she actually has. 

The so-called trompe l’oeil effect lets KAOS appear sleek and elongated, setting her apart from traditional yacht design. Her designer Lobanov describes the modeling process for KAOS.

“The 3D modeling was quite a challenging task, which pleased my mathematical part of the brain. Each of the layers meets and splits under certain rules, which can be noticed from different angles.”

Her exterior is white with light blue accents, which are contrasted by the many darkly tinted windows.

She has four decks, the largest of which is the aft which has a sizable swimming pool with a built-in aquarium and seating areas.

Several smaller decks are located on higher levels, although most of them are hidden in shaded areas. 

Close to the top of the superstructure, a small jacuzzi is situated, allowing guests to enjoy incredible views while relaxing.

At the bow, a helipad is located, including refueling facilities for small to medium-sized helicopter aircraft. Below the helipad, the mooring deck is cleverly concealed for aesthetic purposes. 

At the stern of the vessel, the KAOS yacht has an extendable swimming platform that can be closed completely when the yacht is underway.

This platform leads directly to a lounge area inside the yacht, complete with a state-of-the-art entertainment system, TV, and storage space.

On the starboard side of the aft, there is a separate platform for docking tenders and releasing water toys.

KAOS also possesses a modern underwater lighting system and state-of-the-art stabilizers for the comfort of guests when the vessel is underway or at anchor.

Toys and equipment

The KAOS yacht carries at least two tenders, one of which almost looks like a miniature version of the main vessel with the same blue and white design and tinted windows.

They were built by Pascoe International , a renowned company specializing in tenders for superyachts. 

She carries a wide array of water toys, including several jet skis, water bobs, and paddleboards.

Previous names

Originally the KAOS yacht was built in the Netherlands by Oceano under the name SECRET III. Upon her launch, she was officially named JUBILEE and then renamed AL MENWAR by the royal family of Qatar, the House of Thani.

There was amazement from locals and boating enthusiasts as a massive €300million super yacht moored in Dun Laoghaire Harbour yesterday.

The gigantic yacht named 'Kaos' was spotted docked in Scotsman’s Bay in Dun Laoghaire on Tuesday. The impressive yacht has four decks, and it is 110-metres long and weighs over 4,500 tonnes.

The vessel boasts 16 cabins with space for 30 guests and 45 crew, a state of the art gym, a steam room, an indoor beach club, a cinema, a sauna and spa, and it has its own aquarium as well as a luxury swimming pool and helipad, allowing for easy access.

The yacht also includes large dining/lounge areas and the cabins feature silk carpet, and the opulent bathrooms consist of solid marble. According to the Irish Times , the yacht was seen in London and Cornwall before making its way to Dun Laoghaire on Monday night.

The boat is believed to be owned by Walmart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie, who is one of the richest women in the world from her family's establishment of well-known retailer Walmart.

It was originally built by Dutch yard Oceano for the late Emir of Qatar, who named it Jubilee. It was refitted by German yard Lürssen as part of a 17-month project which touched 1,500 square metres of interior space.

It was the biggest yacht ever built in the Netherlands when it launched in 2017. According to Boat International Magazine , the yacht was bought by its new owners in 2018 and its interior was designed by Sam Sorgiovanni and the exterior was completed by Igor Lobanov.

Irish social media users were delighted and in awe at seeing the huge yacht. sailing around the Dun Laoghaire harbour. One person joked: "Drop the red flag and raise the Jolly Roger, and let's take her, me hearties!!!"

A second said: "Wow, absolutely massive boat. It even has a helipad on the top, very cool." A third added: "I wonder who will be the first person to try to get up close to it with a drone only to find out that someone with that much money has for sure invested in countermeasures."

A fourth person seemed doubtful that they'd spend so much money on a luxury yacht if they had the chance. "Much as it's nice and all... it cost $300m," they said.

Dun Laoghaire is bracing for a record-breaking cruise ship season , with over 90 cruise ships to visit this year bringing a total of 164,000 passengers and 71,000 crew to the area. Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has said the benefits of these cruises extend beyond the immediate tourism sector, contributing to the restoration of the 200-year-old historic Harbour.

Norwegian Cruise Lines will top the schedule with 20 visits to Dun Laoghaire this year, followed by Viking Cruise Lines who will visit 17 times.

Walmart Heiress Nancy Walton Laurie’s $330m Kaos Superyacht Vandalised In Ibiza

It's a bad time to be a billionaire's superyacht.

Climate activists targeted a USD 330 million superyacht of Walmart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie in Ibiza, Spain, to register their protest against carbon emissions for luxury lifestyles.

From Jeff Bezos $700m behemoth hiding dark and bloody secrets to the ill-fated Honolulu that was burned to a crisp , it’s a hard time to be a billionaire’s superyacht.

The Climate Protest On Kaos

The 361-foot vessel, Kaos , was docked in the popular Mediterranean resort island when two activists from a Spanish organization, Futuro Vegetal , approached the superyacht and sprayed its stern with red and black paint using fire extinguishers last year. A video shared on social media by the organization shows that the ship’s crew quickly attempted to undo the damage of the paint by pouring water on it.

After the vandalism, the activists displayed a sign that stated, “You Consume, Others Suffer,” criticizing capitalism.

Futuro Vegetal asserts that carbon emissions are unacceptably high among the world’s wealthiest individuals.

The group posted on X (formerly Twitter):

“We cannot continue like this; it is a matter of life or death. Listen to us, share our message!” 

A second post noted, “The only reason we continue to maintain an economic system that leads us to eco-social collapse is to sustain the privileges of this small privileged class. The mega-rich live off the suffering of others.”

The group also confirmed that the authorities arrested the activists and would be appearing in court on Monday.

This incident is part of a growing pattern where climate protests target the luxury assets of the ultra-rich.

Just two days earlier, members of Futuro Vegetal had sprayed yellow paint on a private jet at an Ibiza airport.

Similar protests were conducted in northern Germany in June by the German climate activist organization Last Generation .

They spray-painted a private jet orange and held signs that said “Your Luxury = Our Drought” and “Your Luxury = Our Crop Failures.”

The owner of the vandalized superyacht Kaos , Nancy Walton Laurie is a billionaire heiress to the Walmart.

Being the youngest daughter of Walmart co-founder James “Bud” Walton, she inherited her father’s share in the company upon his death in 1995.

Walton Laurie is ranked 268th on Forbes ‘ list of 2023 billionaires, with an estimated net worth of $8.7 billion.

Previously known as Al Menwar during its ownership by the Qatari royal family, the Kaos now stands as a symbol of extreme wealth but is a target for those protesting inequality and environmental impact.

Walton Laurie bought the superyacht in 2019, which underwent a complete renovation in 2020 by Luerssen in Hamburg, Germany.

The Walmart heiress also owns another superyacht named “Secret,” per Robbreport .

Kaos: A Floating Palace of Luxury

Just like Serene , a $400 million superyacht owned by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, and Koru , a $500 million vessel owned by the Amazon billionaire, the Kaos is a marvel of engineering.

According to the Yacht Bible, the yacht has four decks that can hold 31 guests and a crew of 45. Its other features include a swimming pool, aquarium, big screen theatre, sauna, complete spa services, helipad, jacuzzi, and space for a smaller boat.

The vessel’s yearly operational costs are estimated to be between $20 million and $30 million USD.

Jubilee Completes Year-Long Lürssen Refit as Kaos

German yard Lürssen has redelivered the 110-metre superyacht Jubilee , now named Kaos , following a year-long extensive refit. 

The redelivery of the yacht to its owners marks the end of Lürssen 's biggest refit to date. The extensive refit got underway in May 2019 following the sale of the yacht in November 2018. The refit was overseen by Burgess Technical Services.

Speaking about the finished project, Burgess's Ed Beckett said:  “This was an incredibly demanding project particularly in relation to timing and quality expectations – the end result is really quite exceptional and was only achieved with great teamwork from all involved.”

The extensive refit included Sam Sorgiovanni-styled alterations made to both the exterior and interior of the yacht, which were incorporated into the original design. Existing and new interior spaces were penned by Reymond Langton Design .

Project manager Thomas Dapp said: "What you see from outside already looks significant, but the majority of the work was done on the interior. Overall, we renewed 1,500 square metres of interior spaces.”

Built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Oceanco to a design by Igor Lobanov , Kaos was first delivered in 2017 as the largest yacht built in The Netherlands.

The interior was originally designed by Sam Sorgiovanni and accommodates 30 guests in 15 cabins. Four VIP cabins sit on the bridge deck, while a further 10 guest suites are located on the main deck. Kaos also has an entirely private owner’s deck that enjoys unmatched views.

Kaos episode 3 recap: the Gods want vengeance

A car screeches to a stop at a gas station and its driver runs inside to hide in the bathroom at the top of Kaos episode 3.

Tisi (Donna Banya), Alecto (Cathy Tyson) and Meg (Natalie Klamar) — collectively known as The Furies — are following the driver. Prometheus (Stephan Dillane) explains over voiceover that The Furies are as old as the Gods. They roam the Earth, delivering justice where they feel it has been denied. This task is made easier by the fact that only those they are pursuing can see them. When The Furies find the man, Terry (Richard Sutton), he pulls out a gun and points it at them. The Furies tell Terry he knows how to get rid of them, so he shoots himself. The Furies scratch Terry off their list, then drive away to their next target.

Ari and the Trojans

Prometheus introduces Ariadne (Leila Farzad), the third human needed in the plot to bring down Zeus (Jeff Goldblum). Ari's father is President Minos (Stanley Townsend), who runs Krete. She's the next in line. 

Ari accidentally murdered her twin brother Glaucus when she was a toddler, rolling on top of him when they were sleeping. Refusing to accept his death, Ari's mother creates a model in her dead son's image every year on their birthday. 

We also learn that Theseus (Daniel Lawrence Taylor), Ari's bodyguard who she is really attracted to, was the person who let in the protestors that replaced the monument with the huge pile of s***. 

Minos sits down with Hecuba (Gillian Cally), the former queen of Troy, and her daughter-in-law Andromache (Amanda Douge). They live in refuge in Krete, but Trojans don't have the same rights as the locals. As the highest ranking members of the Trojans, they're asked about the desecration of the monument to honor the Gods. But they insist they know nothing about it. 

Minos knows a group known as the Trojan 7 are behind it. They've caught six of them, but no-one knows who the leader is. Minos tells Andromache to find the leader by midnight, otherwise he'll release the Minotaur from its cage.

Poseidon must act

On a yacht, Zeus meets with his younger brother Poseidon (Cliff Custis), the God of the Seas. Zeus says an example needs to be set after the desecration of the monument. Allowing the humans to be blasphemous without any consequences is dangerous. But Poseidon says the humans don't pose a threat, Zeus is embarrassing himself; he just needs to relax. Zeus threatens to replace Poseidon with Dionysus (Nabhaan Rizwan), commanding Poseidon to make a statement against the humans and get his city in order. 

After Zeus leaves, Poseidon calls Hera (Janet McTeer) and says Zeus is losing his mind. Hera says the wrinkle has made him scared, but his worries will pass. She tells Poseidon to just do what Zeus wants. 

At the Chapel of Hera on Mount Olympus, Hera has sex with Poseidon. Afterwards, Poseidon admits he'd like to see the back of Zeus. 

Poseidon then talks with Minos, wanting to know what he plans to do with the Trojans. Minos says they're looking for the leader, promising that at midnight justice will be served. Poseidon tells Minos to kill them all. 

Ari promises to help

Ari disagrees with Poseidon's demand, wanting to show the Trojans mercy. No one will expect that and it will make the Trojan population more compliant. More violence will only make things worse. She also believes the people should vote. But Minos says people can't be trusted to vote for what they need. He also reminds her the Gods choose who rules. Minos confirms the Trojans must be punished. 

Theseus takes Ari to see Nax (Daniel Monks), the seventh Trojan, who also happens to be his boyfriend. Nax is ready to hand himself in, but Theseus says Ari is there to save him and the rest of the Trojans. Nax says he attacked the monument because the Gods have abandoned them and the Trojans are being wiped out; there are now only 15,000 of them left.  

Ari figures out that Nax is Andromache's son. Hecuba and Andromache then walk into the room, calling Nax the hope for their people. Ari says she's going to take Nax to her father and promises that he'll pardon him, as it's her birthday. 

When she tells Minos she wants to save the Trojan 7 because she killed Glaucus, he accepts. The Trojan 7 are released. But as they reunite with their family, Cassandra (Billie Piper) arrives and screams at them to run. 

Minos backtracks

When Zeus watches the reunion on television, he curses Poseidon and calls him.

As Minos takes a bath, Poseidon suddenly appears in it with him. Minos tries to apologize, but Poseidon chokes him with his toes and tells him to do as he's told. 

Minos' soldiers then attack the apartments where the Trojan 7 live, taking them all prisoner and releasing the Minotaur on them. 

Ari wakes up to Andromache's screams. She wails over the seven dead bodies, which have been hung up where the monument was. Spotting Ari, Andromaches blames her for these deaths. Minos tells Ari that their deaths were the will of Gods and he can't defy them. 

Throughout the episode, Ari has been stalked by the Furies, who repeatedly remind her about murdering Glaucus. After she storms away from her father, Ari walks into another room, only to be confronted by the Furies, who tell her they're there to talk about her brother.

Disney’s Magic Kingdom evacuated after fight and false reports of active shooter

A popping balloon prompted park-goers at Disney ’s Magic Kingdom in Florida to stampede out of fear of an active shooter situation on Thursday 29 August, according to officials.

However, there was no gunman at the famed theme park, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated following the incident.

Officials said a fight had transpired inside the park and a “popping” sound was heard.

Guests began running and that’s how the active shooter rumour started.

No arrests were made as a result of the fight, the sheriff’s office later said, stating neither of the people involved wanted to press charges.
