A General Description of Motor Yacht SECRET

Being built by the The Feadship Royal Van Lent Shipyard yard in the Netherlands the SECRET is 61 metre 201 (ft) in length. Launched to celebration in the year of 2006 this boat’s internal styling showcases the stature of the design work of Jim Harris. Superyacht SECRET can accommodate up to 14 people with 16 professional crew. She could be considered a recent full displacement yacht. She can attain a high speed of 16 knots.

The Build & Designing relating to Luxury Yacht SECRET

De Voogt Naval Architects was the naval architecture company involved in the formal superyacht plans for SECRET. Also the company De Voogt Naval Architects expertly collaborated on this venture. Interior designer Jim Harris was selected for the internal internal ambience. In 2006 she was actually launched to celebration in Kaag and following sea trials and final completion was then handed over to the owner. The Feadship Royal Van Lent Shipyard completed their new build motor yacht in the Netherlands. A fairly large proportion is achieved with a maximum beam (width) of 10.9 m or 35.9 feet. With a 3.3m (10.1ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly deep. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure above deck is built from aluminium. In 2009 extra refitting and updating was additionally finished.

Main Engines And The Speed/Range That M/Y SECRET :

The 3516B DITA engine installed in the motor yacht is made by CATERPILLAR. Coupled to the SECRET engines are twin screw propellers (wartsila 5 blades fixed pitch). The main engine of the yacht generates 2000 horse power (or 1492 kilowatts). She is equiped with 2 engines. The combined power for the boat is thus 4000 HP / 2984 KW. With respect to stabalisers she uses Naiad Zero Speed.

Bestowing quarters for a limit of 14 yacht guests overnighting, the SECRET accommodates everyone luxuriously. Normally the vessel carries approx 16 able yacht crew to maintain and sail.

Motor Yacht

Luxury motor yacht Majestic, built in 2008 by Dutch shipyard Feadship, is a modern take on a classic design. With a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she features exterior design by De Voogt Naval Architects while her interior is the work of Jim Harris. This balanced vessel measures 61.2 metres and can accommodate up to 14 guests.

Based on a classic Feadship blueprint and enhanced with modern subtleties, motor yacht Majestic carries the latest superyacht technologies within a structure boasting supreme attention to detail. Feadship member Royal Van Lent & Zonan achieved a classic look with the use of a semi-canoe stern and varnished teak cap rails finished with soft curves and a combination of shapes on the plane.

On arrival to the superyacht via tender, a grand transom hatch descends to create a landing platform greeted by an impressive staircase in the centre of the aft deck. This level is also home to a casual salon with bar, couches and plasma screen. A guest foyer can be spied forward which includes a dining area for up to 14 alfresco diners.

A skylounge can also be found on board, acting as a media room with its fold-down 61 inch plasma screen, satellite television and Kaleidescape system. The room also doubles as a cinema with its drop-down projector, 106 inch pull-out screen and stand-up bar. To starboard is a lounge with electronically adjustable games/coffee table and rich furnishings that give it somewhat of a men’s club feel.

One of motor yacht Majestic’s crowning features is her expansive sundeck, split into three generous areas of different functions. The forward outdoor area houses a seating area, teak bar with stools, a dumbwaiter and a spa pool with sunpads forward. The central area hosts an enclosed gym. Aft is a sun lounging area with eight sunbeds and significant shaded space. Perhaps its handiest feature is its ability to be converted into a helipad.

The main salon features a semi-private dining room in the rear and a dayhead off the foyer. Between the salon and dining room can be found the main staircase that connects three decks, providing guests easy access while at the same time minimising crew contact and maximising owner privacy.

The interior design is distinctly nautical, the creation of Jim Harris who has been working with the owners for 30 years on various projects across homes and airplanes. This familiar relationship has ensured a high degree of personal customisation throughout the vessel’s interior that adopts an almost mansion ambience rather than that of a yacht. Unique finishes include mother-of peal trimmings and glass bead adornments.

The interior also features a theme of light and dark; with the living areas becoming darker the further they are located upwards in the yacht. The colour contrasts are created using woods in a variety of shades including beige, walnut and ebony. Rare marbles are also given their place with Jura Gelib and Azure Aran Gold varieties among the chosen few.

Far below is a large lazarette that comfortably stores the superyacht’s range of watertoys. Kayaks, windsurfers, Wave Runners, diving equipment and wakeboards can all be found neatly stored away. The vessel’s two tenders occupy their own space aft of the bridge and are launched by two beam cranes when needed.

Amongst her seven cabins are an indulgent owner’s suite; two VIP suites; and four guest cabins. Located forward on the main deck, the full-beam owner’s suite features four large windows for maximising sea views, a separate study area, his and hers baths, a large dressing room and a 50 inch plasma screen. A VIP suite can also be found on this deck, complete with an extravagantly decorated bathroom. The lower deck houses the other full-beam VIP suite forward of the guest cabins. This VIP suite was designed specifically for the owner’s daughter and features a walkthrough dressing room with large wardrobes and private bathroom. The guest cabins are all Queen and include a lounge and wardrobe.

Featuring a dedicated crew, Majestic is an excellent charter yacht for luxury vacations. The yacht cruises comfortably at 12 knots while her crew of 16 ensure the needs of every guest are met.

With “One Island for every day of the year” the 365 Exuma cays are strung out over more than 100 miles of magnificent sea, starting 50 miles from Nassau and heading south-easterly towards Great Exuma and Little Exuma in the south,where most of the population lives. The Exumas are especially beautiful with their thriving tropical vegetation and pristine beaches. The Exuma chain encompasses approximately 360 cays,stretching 130 miles. Oceania Heights is located on Great Exuma, the largest island of the Exumas, which stretches 37 miles in length. Aside from its physical beauty, the atmosphere in Great Exuma exudes warmth, serenity, and comfort. The Bahamian attitude, which radiates tranquility, family, and kindness can be felt at every turn. With its veritable bounty of water and beaches, it is a dream destination for any water sports aficionado. This string of secluded islands provides the ultimate escape for every type of traveler. Most of the cays are uninhabited, others, like Allen’s Cay, are home to families of iguanas, while others like Staniel Cay have small settlements with a few homes, a food store, a yacht club and a restaurant. The main gateway and International Airport is situated at Moss Town on Great Exuma, 10 miles north of George Town, the capital of Exuma. Scheduled flying time is approximately 35 minutes from Nassau. The first known entries in Exuma’s history books date back to the 1600s, when it became a major producer of salt. In the 18th century cotton took over from salt as the commodity of choice amongst plantation owners. One of the more notable landowners of this era was Lord John Rolle who left his 2,300-acre estate to some 300 former slaves. To this day at least one third of the population of Exuma have the name Rolle. The main focus today for tourists to Exuma looking for shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife is Georgetown, bordered by a marine lake on one side and magnificent Elizabeth Harbour on the other. Nightlife like in most Out-islands is gentle, with most of the action taking place in the various hotels and bars, where live music is often played. Across Elizabeth Harbour is Stocking Island, long and thin with miles of deserted beaches and great shelling. On the island’s highest point is a tall monument,erected to guide ships in to load up with salt in the last century. They would fly flags or burn fires on it when there was salt for sale. Beach lovers can catch a ferry to Stocking Island, which leaves from the Government Dock. Exuma’s high point of the year is its annual “Family Island Regatta” when sailing sloops from all over the islands head to Exuma for a weekend of races. Accompanying the boats are many locals from other Out-islands, who come to share in the festivities. The regattas feature local food, drinks, music and is generally considered a homecoming party. Exuma has also gained a reputation for some of the best bonefishing spots in the world, especially on the sheltered leeward coast of the island. Bonefish are known for their strength, as well as their boney composition, allowing fishermen the ultimate sport of a fight to pull one in. The Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park based around Warderick Wells Cay also attracts thousands of divers and snorkelers every year to its exquisite turquoise waters. There are also great dive spots in the park including “Jeepreef”. Recently the Swimming Pigs have become the most popular single attraction in The Bahamas. These “domesticated” pigs live on Major’s Spot Cay, and it’s uncertain how they got there. Whenever a boat arrives, they swim out to it and expect to be fed, a practice that’s been going on for years.
