Current owner has lived aboard Shearwater most of the past 6 years. The previous owners lived aboard (at the dock, not cruising) for approx. 15 years. She has been well-cared for, with many included yard receipts to show for it. In quick summary: updated wiring (well loomed), mast paint, mast step and through hulls (bronze) with G10 backing, standing rigging, rudder shoe and gudgeons replaced (all 2016), regular bottom paint (most recently Dec 2022), updated LED lighting throughout, and much more.

Engine: Westerbeke 5424 (Universal 30) Diesel Engine. 3 cyl, 24 hp. Fresh water cooled with raw water heat exchanger. Dual (Primary and Secondary) diesel Fuel filters. Repowered in 1989. Hours unknown, but well-maintained and runs great. Owner added up the motor hours from log since summer of 2019 and it equals 700 hours in the past 5 years of use, with an estimated 50 hours the year prior, and then the previous owners lived aboard for 15 years or so in the SF Bay Area, hardly ever taking the boat off the dock. They estimated about 50 hours yearly of average engine run time during that period, but without an engine hour meter this is unfortunately hearsay. April 2024 Engine was inspected by professional mechanic and given good bill of health. Services performed: valve adjustment, compression check, new water pump seals and impeller, installation of new motor mounts, and fresh alignment. Current owner has had oil changed every 50-100 hours since owning the boat; fuel filters changed several times a year as well. March 2024 flushed the coolant system and replaced with new. New Transmission fluid March 2024 as well. I put 3 new glow plugs in October 2023. 3 blade bronze prop. At last haulout (Dec 2022) the cutlass bearing did not need replacement.
Tankage: 45 gal aluminum diesel tank (under aft bunk) w/o gauge. 90 gal SS water (2 separate ~45 gal tanks at mast base) 6 gal plastic holding tank for black water
Accommodations V-berth. Offset companionway with galley on one side, aft berth under cockpi, marine head with 2 doors (one to main salon and one to aft berth). Interior mahohany and teak, SS counters in galley, LED lights/lamps throughout. 2x childs berth in Salon
Sails and Winches: Mainsail, genoa, staysail Dacron from North Sails. 24 years old but still plenty of life in them. Both head sails are on roller furling 2x Lewmar EVO #45 Self-tailing winch, chrome-bronze (2019) 3x Lewmar bronze winches #25 Aluminum mast, compression post Whisker pole SS standing rigging, 8 yrs. old
