Heesen Yachts levert 50-meterjacht Alp op in Hellevoetsluis

Jachtbouwer Heesen Yachts in Oss heeft het 50-meterjacht Alp afgeleverd in Hellevoetsluis op 12 juni. Met een snelheid van 23 knopen is de Alp niet alleen snel maar biedt volgens Heesen ook comfort. Het jacht, ontworpen door Frank Laupman van Omega Architects voor het exterieur en Cristiano Gatto Design voor het interieur, wordt in serie gebouwd en heeft een sportief, tegelijkertijd elegant uiterlijk. Met 380 vierkante meter interieur waar de klant aanpassingen kan maken, waaronder meubels uit eigen productie in Winterswijk. De Alp biedt accommodatie aan 12 gasten en 9 bemanningsleden, en is uitgerust met onder andere een jacuzzi en een zonnedek met bank en bar. Na haar maiden voyage naar de Middellandse Zee, waar ze havens als Portofino en St. Tropez zal aandoen, zal de Alp naar verwachting later dit jaar naar het Caribisch gebied vertrekken vanwege haar beperkte diepgang van 2,10 meter.

Heesen Yachts and christened and delivered YN 20350, MY ALP at Hellevoetsluis, the Netherlands. This is where ALP has been berthed following completion of rigorous tests in the North Sea and while preparing for its maiden voyage.

ALP belongs to Heesen ’s successful 50-metre semi-displacement series. The exterior lines were penned by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. With a top speed of 23 knots, ALP combines fast cruising, comfort, and luxury with technology. Focus when building the yacht was on intelligent engineering, precise aluminium construction and meticulous weight calculation.

Heesen is one of the few shipyards in the world that can build aluminium hulls in-house to the finest tolerances. Aluminium welding is a rigorous discipline that requires a combination of education, technical skills, focus and stamina. Precise engineering, exact construction, and effective project management ensure that the weight control meets the strict requirements without compromise on luxury.

Thanks to its shallow draught of just 2.1 metres, ALP is suitable for exploring the Bahamas; the length of 50 metres makes it perfect for entering Mediterranean ports.

Interior and entertainment

Cristiano Gatto’s team and Heesen’s in-house engineers were responsible for the interior design. The interior spans almost 380 m2. The yacht features an expansive sundeck, partially protected by a hardtop, a whirlpool surrounded by sun pads aft, a bar and dining area, and a seating area forward. The wheelhouse deck aft terrace is ideal for al fresco dining. Thanks to sliding doors, this space connects with the sky lounge, creating a vast outdoor indoor area.

The main deck aft sports raised sun pads serviced by an adjacent bar. Elevating the relaxation area guarantees guest privacy when docked stern to in a marina. Additionally, this design solution allows a full-height beach club just below. When the transom door is open, it connects seamlessly with the beach club and creates a space by the sea.

ALP has left the Netherlands for its maiden voyage to the Mediterranean.

Heesen launches 55m "restyled" superyacht Serena in the Netherlands

Dutch shipyard Heesen has launched the 55-metre superyacht Serena from its facilities in Oss, the Netherlands in a ceremony attended by the owners and their family. The superyacht is the seventh unit in the shipyard's 55-metre Steel series, and the second to be built with a restyled exterior.

Serena was sold to her "experienced owner" in 2022 after beginning construction on speculation. The buyer was introduced by Arcon Yachts in Monaco with the firm representing the owner throughout the build.

She features a number of styling modifications that set her apart from her sisterships, the likes of Vida and Moskito , which include the removal of the mullions in the saloon and skylounge, as well as concealed crew access to the sundeck and a squared Jacuzzi. Her restyled exterior is the work of Omega Architects .

Other design adaptations for this new series model include a more aggressive profile, created by using continuous sheets of tinted glass, as well as a French balcony in the owner’s suite.

The new design of this 55 Steel also features extended exterior deck spaces to improve functionality, with additional stairways for increased crew access. On board highlights include casual al fresco dining spaces, a sprawling sundeck with a whirlpool and wraparound bar, as well as a vast private apartment for the owner’s suite, outfitted with walk-in wardrobes. Accommodation is for 12 guests across five cabins.

Luca Dini is responsible for the interiors of the yacht and accommodation is configured with the owner’s cabin on the main deck, a spacious VIP cabin on the wheelhouse deck and four additional guest cabins on the lower deck. Special attention was paid to the height of seating arrangements and user-friendly, practical materials, with interiors also incorporating velvet finishes, smoked eucalyptus and Amazonite marble inlays. 

The main saloon features a bronze-finished bar which serves the main deck aft and the lounge, with a second bar found in the skylounge alongside a games table. Another highlight is the redesigned atrium which incorporates hand-blown glass and hand-sculpted metal light fixtures from US-based designer John Pomp.

According to BOATPro , Heesen has 10 yachts currently in build or under construction – the largest of which is the 57-metre Project Setteesettanta .

This follows the announcement that another unit in its 55 Steel series had been sold, provisionally known as Project Venus.

Heesen Yachts  announced last week that their new superyacht Project Ruya had been given a new name and is now known as BookEnds. She was photographed together with superyacht Home , launched by Heesen just a few month ago.

BookEnds boasts sleek and elegant profile drawn by Omega Architects . Her interior is by Bannenberg and Rowell . Among her great features, there are an 85-sqm sundeck, large swim platform and a spacious garage for water toys and tenders. BookEnds was designed to accommodate 12 guests in 5 well-appointed staterooms.

Motor yacht Home is a slightly larger yacht that BookEnds, and measures 49.8 metres. She features the famous FDHF and a hybrid propulsion system, designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects . Her beautiful exterior design is by Omega Architects, and the interior design is by Cristiano Gatto . Home is a family-friendly superyacht, which resembles a luxury beach villa style in terms of her layout. Her interior decor is minimalistic, with plenty of natural light and modern finishing, She can accommodate 12 guests in 6 cabins. Luxury motor yacht Home can reach a top speed of 15 knots and cruises comfortably at a speed of 12 knots.

Heesen Yachts celebrates a landmark moment with the christening and delivery of their latest masterpiece, M/Y ALP.

This momentous occasion was celebrated in Hellevoetsluis, South Holland. This is where ALP has been berthed following successful completion of rigorous tests in the North Sea and while preparing for her maiden voyage.

Allergrootste superjacht ooit in Oss te water gelaten bij Heesen Yachts (video)

Waar een klein land toch groot in kan zijn! U kent natuurlijk Brabant maar kent u ook Oss? Het klinkt nou niet bepaald sexy toch? Unox rookworsten en soepen kent u wel? Nou die komen uit Oss. Er is echter nog een parel in Oss. En dat is superjachtenbouwer Heesen Yachts. De scheepswerf bouwt zijn allergrootste luxejacht ooit voor een rijke Russische oliemagnaat. Deze week werd het schip te water gelaten.

Als je van al deze blauwe wateren zin hebt gekregen in zon, zee & infinity pools, neem dan hier een kijkje.

Maar liefst zeventig meter lang is het allernieuwste jacht van Heesen. Het is één van de grootste superjachten ter wereld en zeker één van de snelste van dit formaat. Voor Heesen is het schip zelfs het allergrootste model dat ze ooit heeft gebouwd.

Want, zo meldde Heesen onlangs zelf, het schip doorklieft de zeewateren met dertig zeemijlen per uur. Dit komt overeen met bijna 56 kilometer per uur. Om deze snelheid te bereiken maakt het schip gebruik van een derde motor, naast de reguliere twee motoren in de jachten.

Te water gelaten Deze week werd het schip te water gelaten, waar het buiten het droogdok in het water ligt. Heesen Yachts werkt nog hard aan het luxejacht, dat de naam Galactica Super Nova heeft gekregen. De komende weken maken de medewerkers het jacht vaarklaar, zodat het naar Hellevoetsluis kan worden vervoerd. Vanaf daar worden proefvaarten op de Noordzee uitgevoerd.

De Osse jachtenbouwer Heesen Yachts bestaat sinds 1978 en is de afgelopen jaren flink gegroeid. In 2008 nam een internationale investeringsmaatschappij het bedrijf over. Het bedrijf maakt jachten voor de allerrijksten ter wereld ‘from scratch’ en bouwt ze vanaf casco op.

Veel erkenning Veel (internationale) erkenning ook voor het werk van Heesen Yachts de afgelopen jaren. De gemeente Oss is er erg trots op wil Heesen Yachts hoe dan ook in de stad behouden. Zo werd er in 2008 een megadeal gesloten om zo nóg grotere jachten te kunnen bouwen, zoals de Galactica Super Nova.

Uit betrouwbare bronnen vernamen wij dat het jacht, met codenaam Kometa, zou zijn besteld door de Russische miljardair en Lukoil-topman Vagit Alekperov en wordt naar verwachting in mei dit jaar opgeleverd. Het schip biedt ruimte aan zestien gasten. Twaalf gasten kunnen worden ondergebracht in zes luxueuze kamers. De rest kan in cabines benedendeks terecht. Wij hopen dat wij snel eens mogen “binnenkijken bij…”..! Ahoy, ahoy..!

Project Cosmos hits the water! Heesen launches its largest to date, a mighty 80-metre superyacht

Heesen is delighted to announce that on November 19, 2021, YN 19480, Project Cosmos was launched at the shipyard in Oss. When christened she will be named Galactica .

At 80 metres, with a gross tonnage of 1,700GT and a top speed of almost 30 knots, she is the biggest and fastest all-aluminium yacht ever built. The challenges involved in creating such a large and complex yacht are extreme, but made a perfect fit with Heesen’s history and expertise. Precision aluminium construction, high performance and the finest Dutch craftsmanship are steeped into the DNA of this shipyard. Cosmos is the ultimate expression of Heesen’s ability to build daring projects that stretch the imagination of its engineers and craftspeople.

Thanks to the dedication of the Heesen teams and the shipyard’s loyal subcontractors, who all worked tirelessly through the pandemic, the yacht was launched on schedule in perfect Dutch style. What makes Project Cosmos so impressive is its immense size combined with a remarkable top speed of almost 30 knots. This is achieved thanks to the lightweight and low-drag hull design, honed to perfection by Heesen’s naval architects on an iteration of the Fast Displacement Hull Form devised by van Oossanen, and assembled, millimetre-perfect, by Heesen’s welders. Ensuring sufficient longitudinal strength was one of the biggest technological challenges facing Heesen’s engineering team, who designed and patented the Backbone – an intricate, full-length structural reinforcement system. Power comes from traditional, if highly refined, diesel propulsion – four engines, two gearboxes, variable-pitch propellers and ultra-innovative Promas rudders.

“Today, we are celebrating the launch of a unique yacht,” said Heesen CEO Arthur Brouwer. “Unique not only for our shipyard, as she is the largest we have ever taken on and represents the pinnacle of our achievements to date. Cosmos is also unique in the industry – the largest and fastest aluminium yacht in her class ever built.”

Cosmos’s elegant exterior comes from the renowned British studio of Winch Design. Clean lines, a sporty silhouette and the extensive use of glass create a timeless, dynamic profile, which will look as good in twenty years as it does today at launch. “The Winch vision for Cosmos was to retain Heesen’s sporty DNA but blend it with an innovative, futuristic spin. Curved glass forms smooth, sculpted shapes, creating a feeling of slick, contemporary charm,” said Jim Dixon, Director of Yachts and Aviation at the British design house. “The brief stressed that she had to have a strong and unique signature whilst retaining the Heesen DNA that we all know and love. The emphasis was on creating a fast looking yacht that sits elegantly on the water, a feat that has been cleverly achieved through the use of sculptural, curved forms and perfectly balanced proportions.” – James Russell, Associate, Yacht Exteriors

Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design was responsible for the light and soothing interior design that makes guests feel at home from the moment they step aboard. While the overall palette is neutral, splashes of a range of blue hues are infused into the design throughout. The piece de résistance is undoubtedly the beach club, with its side and stern platforms. The backlit onyx bar with centrally positioned seating is the focal point of this ample and airy space close to the water. With the size, weight and performance of Project Cosmos so intimately connected, Sinot collaborated closely with Heesen’s in-house engineers to ensure that their stringent weight calculations were always met.

Following her launch, Project Cosmos will remain at Heesen for commissioning before undergoing intense sea trials in the North Sea commencing in February. She will be delivered to her owners in April 2022.
