A full, fun day of snorkeling, kayaking, beach time, and sailing on a Puerto Vallarta's largest trimaran.  To kick off your day of fun in the sun, Kon-Tiki heads south through Banderas Bay, passing the magnificent skyline of Puerto Vallarta, Los Arcos Marine Park, Mismaloya Bay, the set of Night of the Iguana , and Kevin Costner's house, making for some excellent photo opportunities.

The tour's first stop is Playa Los Colomitos, where you'll enjoy snorkeling in Puerto Vallarta's underwater world.  The next stop is Majahuitas, a beautiful sandy beach where you can enjoy kayaking, more snorkeling, or simply take in the sun under a beach umbrella.  On the way back to Puerto Vallarta, you'll enjoy music and entertainment, as you sip tropical drinks from the open bar and eat lunch.

While centrally located on Mission Bay, the resort is tucked away and surrounded by greenery, creating an intimate feel.

The Catamaran offers four options for your ceremony site. The Beach North Lawn accommodates up to 350 guests. Blue skies and sail boats passing by create a beautiful and classically Californian backdrop for your vow exchange. The Beach South Lawn , in contrast, offers a view of San Diego's breathtaking skyline and accommodates up to 150 guests. Prefer to have your feet right in the sand? Pop those shoes off and get married on the beach! The Beach Sand site can accommodate up to 200 guests who will happily wiggle their toes in the sand.

And finally, looking for something a little more intimate but still tropical? The Garden Gazebo may be the perfect spot. Surrounded by lush greenery and tropical plants, this private site accommodates up to 70 guests. Whether you choose the beaches, lawn or gazebo, all ceremony sites include use of garden chairs, a white lattice or bamboo wedding arch plus sound system + microphone. Our San Diego Wedding Planning team will ensure all of the details are taken care of to give you the day you've always dreamed of.

So you've exchanged your vows and now it's time for the party to start! All of the Catamaran's packages include a one hour hosted cocktail reception with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Your guests can relax and enjoy the gorgeous water views while sipping a drink. They'll be sure to bust out their cameras and capture a stunning San Diego Sunset!

When it's time to transition to reception, the variety at the Catamaran continues! Offering four locations, you can choose to party the night away in The Boardroom or the Aviary Ballroom. Both boast expansive views of Mission Bay and private balconies. The Boardroom can accommodate up to 140 guests while the Aviary Ballroom can seat up to 250. Need space for more guests? The signature Kon Tiki Ballroom has a tropical feel, soaring 25 foot ceilings and can accommodate up to 425 guests. Looking for a truly unique and unexpected reception location? Then the William D. Evans 19th century style Sternwheeler may be the spot for you! Enjoy a little piece of history while dancing and dining aboard the beautiful ship. What a way to take in the water views!

Cost: Wedding packages at The Catamaran begin at $100 per person which include catering, bar service and even the cake! However, you are free to bring in all of your own vendors for other services. At this price point, you can choose 4 tray passed hors d'oeuvres, 2 course plated or buffet meal with wine service + champagne toast.

What is your cancellation policy.

Customer Cancellations: Must be requested via calling or emailing no less than 48hrs before trip departure for a full refund. No shows or late arrivals will be charged the full ticket price.

Weather Cancellations : If your trip’s departure may be impacted by weather, our captains will reach out via text and email with as much advance notice as possible. Should the trip be canceled, guests are entitled to be refunded, rebooked, or receive a gift card in accordance with the cancellation policy associated with their ticket.

Is there a bathroom on board?

Yes there is a restroom on board that is cleaned and sanitized daily!

What time should we arrive?

Please plan to arrive no later than 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure for boarding.

Yes! We have designated free parking for all of our customers.

Yes! Guests are more than welcome to bring their own snacks or light fare.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

For insurance purposes, outside alcohol is not permitted and may be confiscated for the duration of your trip. Don’t worry, our bar will be fully stocked!

Our bar features a small selection of water, soda, beer, wine, and RTD Cocktails: $1 Water; $3 Coke, Sprite, Diet Coke; Michelob Ultra; $7 Corona, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Moscato, NUTRL Vodka Seltzer, Cutwater Mojito.

How do we get off at the beach?

For our island stops, we use a series of steps from the front of our boat to the sand. Typically, you can step right from the boat/steps to the sand. However, on occasion, it may be up to ankle deep.

What should we wear?

Comfort is key! Swimming is discouraged during the island stop due to strong tidal currents. Guests are encouraged to dress as they feel comfortable for their evening with easily removable shoes for their walk on the beach. Keep in mind, being on the water in the evening is about 10 degrees colder than is forecasted, so a windbreaker or light jacket is always safe.

Is your vessel handicap accessible?

Unfortunately we are not handicap accessible at this time. Guests with limited mobility (i.e. walkers, canes) should call our office prior to booking. A good rule of thumb is if the limited mobility passenger is able to make it up 2-3 standard stairs with assistance. Our crew is always here to help and eager to share our memorable trip with all!
