Lighthouse Point Yacht Club is committed to hosting social events and programs that appeal to the ages, and maintains member-run committees that meet regularly to share ideas with Club management. Here’s a sampling of our special events and programs:

• We celebrate most holidays, religious and nonreligious
• Other regular Club events include our monthly Full Moon Party; DJ entertainment & live music, up to three-times weekly; wine tastings, farm-to-table dinners on our face dock, and other carefully planned and orchestrated themed events
• We have a vibrant (Family) Cruising Group, with monthly cruises planned, complete with planned dinners and activities down the line
• Fishing Tournaments
• Tennis Tournaments, both inter and intra-Club; private tennis lessons; cardio tennis; group live ball; and nighttime tennis on our lit courts
• Recently renovated Fitness Center; personal training and group classes include yoga, spin, SPOGA

This membership was created this season based on the demand of the “snowbirds”, who fly south in the winter months, with some who cannot legally reside in the United States more than six months a year, and others who have a second vacation home here and do not require a year-round membership. The criteria for our Seasonal Membership are the following: Seasonal Members and their family will have full access to all Club amenities and activities from November through April only. Seasonal Members’ primary residence must be outside the state of Florida. Seasonal Members will be responsible for the one-time Initiation Fee, Monthly Dues, and a Monthly Service Charge. There is no food & beverage minimum requirement for Seasonal Membership, due to the monthly service charge. Inquire within to learn more!

Came here for a friends' wedding. Have never been treated so well by a staff. They went above and beyond at every turn. Didn't even need to be that helpful, but they insisted. Beautiful views and delicious food and i hope I hang on to the memories.

Had an amazing time here during the Member/Guest weekend! Can't beat the location and the staff were very nice. The luau event was well planned. Great buffet and delicious drinks. Our families had a ball! Our cottage was outdated but did not lack care. I would call it quaint. We loved our private table on the boardwalk overlooking the ocean. Only one word of caution, be sure to check your room charged bill carefully at every meal. We were part of a group with multiple rooms at one table. Realized too late that we were charged double for breakfast. All food was phenomenal!

I really wanted to like the Hillsboro club and was so excited to visit for a wedding. Their staff were very friendly and helpful and our food and drinks were what we were expecting. No issues there. While visiting we hoped to enjoy a book or two in their gorgeous library, but were disappointed to learn that you could only access it by checking out a key from the front desk, and there is only one key which was "lost" the entire weekend. Because of weather conditions the beach was fully inaccessible the entirety of the trip and the pool was also too chilly to enjoy. This meant that there were no indoor or outdoor activities available to us, other than enjoying a cocktail indoors. You must wear all white to leverage their tennis courts or croquet, which is fine but not listed anywhere on their guest information before leaving for the resort. I think the Hillsboro place would be fine to occasionally visit as a member, but unfortunately left much to be desired as a guest.

Picturesque Lighthouse

Stayed here as a wedding guest and had a fantastic stay. It's an elegant club with a beautiful view of the beach. Some of the balcony rooms have obstructing views, and parts of the hotel are a little outdated, but other than that, great experience.

This is a private club for members and their families. It costs a pretty penny for membership, but it is definitely worth it if you can afford it! I joined my mom here for a work weekend retreat she had. She had a king size room with an ocean view. It was so nice waking up to see the sand right outside your window!! The staff here is so respectful and takes care of anything you need. There is a large pool, private beach, hotel, banquet rooms, putting greens, and private villas for the guests! We mostly hung out at the beach, where there are lounge chairs and umbrellas for guest use. We ate in the banquet room attached to the pool house for most of the weekend, however for brunch on Sunday we got to be in the huge room overlooking the ocean. It was stunning! If you ever get the chance to come here, it is well worth it!

I attended a family wedding Nov 4-7, 2021. The facility (common area) is nice. The rooms are ATTROCIOUS. My first room: major stains on the carpet. Some looked fresh. I asked for and received a different room. The musty smell in the second room was terrible. The facility should be embarrassed. The rooms need upgrading. DO NOT RENT ROOMS THAT HAVE STAINED CARPETS AND MUSTY SMELLS. I understand this a club - members only. There were many guests that flew across county for the wedding. Based on the information sent to us when we booked our room, I though this place would be very upscale. FAR FROM IT. Family members arrived 2-3 days before the wedding to find no food or drink available on site. This should have been communicated to guests at booking. NOT AS ADVERTISED. PUT SOME $ INTO THE GUEST ROOMS.

I have been a winter member of the club for many years and I am 3rd generation to do so, The club is not for everyone and make does with what they can. We love to be there and spend weeks to months every year. I would like to encourage younger members to join. Many of the complaints on this are made by grumpy people that dont respect the hard work and so what if your beds are not how you wanted. The staff is really nice and The club has strict requirements for membership. The summer membership is ending to be replaced with a beach club membership to allow locals to use the club. What it lacks in infrastructure it makes up for as a community. You can meet wonderful people and it is also a great time to make connections with high class members when you are young. The club is built of the staff and a select few of the members that make your stat amazing. I can not Express how badly I recommend it and to do whatever you can to support this wonderful community.

Staff was very friendly, and the views are incredible. Our complaints: every where could use a fresh coat of paint and new carpet. Our room was cute, but needed things mentioned above. Also, mold spores were on the ceiling by the patio door. Our largest complaint? We paid for a king size bed, and received two beds pushed together with a king sheet over them. We were in a wedding here, so couldn't mention anything at 1am when we got back to the room and noticed. During checkout I went to speak to the 2 gentlemen at the front desk, who were very friendly at first but upon hearing my questions about the bed situation (like is this something that is frequently done?), stopped even looking at me or responding. One gentleman clicked around on the computer, then told me that someone from house keeping or staff would be contacting me - and that was it. Hopefully contacting me about a partial refund. I left 3 stars because we had fun at the wedding, and loved the ocean front views, but really disappointed in not receiving what we paid for. Will update review when I hear back from staff.

Two beds pushed together to make a king sized bed.

I have visited the Hillsboro Club on two occasions: for my 10-year high school reunion and for a friend's wedding. As a party guest, I enjoyed the beach side location at the beginning of the tree canopy lined road that is the Hillsboro Mile. This picturesque spot by the lighthouse also has easy access to the Inlet. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and courteous, and the property is secure with gated entry; the grounds are well maintained. The pool sparkled on a moonlit night. Yes, I'm a fan.

My company was holding a "retreat" and my boss is a member of the Hillsboro Club so naturally it was selected. We arrived at 9 am and went to the library for our meeting. First impressions are they took a page out of Dirty Dancing. It's very inviting but dated. Apparently the lobby has been updated recently but I couldn't tell. We had lunch in the dining room by the pool. Again, very Dirty Dancing- nobody puts baby in the corner! Lunch was very tasty and the service was excellent! We returned to the library for the remainder of the day. Afterwards, we toured my boss' room. It was a quaint bungalow right on the ocean. My coworker opted to stay as well and make a weekend of it but her room was in the hotel section of the property. We had some cocktails in the room and then went to happy hour on the deck. Service was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great and we were asked to move from outside to a room nearby. I swear it's where the finale of Dirty Dancing was filmed! A stage with a piano, tables, chairs, and the club members chatting. I thought Patrick Swayze would appear any minute! A dj/karaoke was setting up but it had been a long day so I didn't stay. It's definitely an interesting place with some history... check out my pics :-)
