NA HOKU 3 is our brand new catamaran located in front of Duke’s Restaurant, departing directly off of the sandy shores of Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Oahu.

NA HOKU 2 has retired from the beach and is now located at Kewalo Basin Harbor Slip F23!

This was a great experience. This sail is very calm and relaxing and a completely different experience from the trade wind sails, where you expect to get tossed around and get wet. The crew was very friendly and attentive. The sunset was gorgeous, even though it was overcast all day. My wife and I now prefer this sail over the trade winds sails we have done in the past. This is the best deal in Waikiki. Was there for a week and went on this cruise three times. ~$30 for one hour sail with open bar. So, you can sit in a hotel bar and nurse one drink or be on the ocean enjoying amazing views, listen to lively music and chug down multiple drinks. No brainer. Shout out to Dustin for the amazing sailing experience.

This was a total blast! The guys running the boat were friendly and entertaining. The sites were phenomenal. The sea life is gorgeous. And the drinks were very good. I booked a second trip, can’t wait to sale again!

CANCELLATION POLICY

Guests will receive a full refund only with a minimum 24-hour notice of cancellation. Full refunds are also issued in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

During the slower seasons and typically the morning sails, tour cancellations can occur due to a minimum requirement of 6 booked guests. In these rare situations, guests are always given the option to rebook or refund. If you are concerned about your tour, please call with any questions.

Guests wishing to rebook or reschedule must give 24 hours notice. Contact us by phone directly to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows and guests canceling within 24 hours of departure will be charged full price .*Groups of 20 or larger are required to give 72-hour notice to cancel or modify bookings.

About Our Boat

Catamaran Kepoikai II is a Hawaiian Style Sailing Catamaran. Our boat is USCG Certified and can hold up to 37 passengers and 4 crew members at one time. The boat is regularly maintained and inspected to maintain the highest level of operational standards and safety set forth by the State of Hawai’i and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Our dual-hulled Hawaiian Catamaran is 42′ long and 20′ wide. It’s equipped with 2 splash nets in the front that provide a one-of-a-kind sailing experience.

Catamaran Kepoikaii II is USCG Certified for a maximum passenger capacity of 37 people, and 4 crew members.

We drop the sails and let the tradewinds do the work! Once safely outside the reef/surf breaks, engines get killed and our sails take over!

Drinks are not included with tickets but are available for purchase on board. (Cash Only!) We have Mai Tais ($6),  Beers ($4),   Soft Drinks, Juices, and Water ($2) . You are also welcome to BYOB ;  no GLASS is  allowed onboard.

Our catamaran is equipped with a small head onboard in one of the hulls. We recommend going beforehand but if nature calls we’ve got you covered.

This was one of my favorite activities on Oahu! We loved the sail. We even got lucky and saw dolphins and turtles! My family loved every minute of it. Captain Woody and the rest of the crew were so helpful and friendly!

We did the snorkeling tour and it was great! Captain John, Curtis and the crew were all super nice full and of knowledge. On top of seeing turtles we also saw dolphins!

We found this Sunset Cruise and chose it because it is a bit smaller than most and it is BYOB. It picks up right on the beach and the crew was great.

I loved our sunset cruise! We found this one pretty last minute and felt so lucky to get spots. It’s BYOB and super fun/relaxing. Our crew was great and happy to take pictures of us, and of course gave us some fun facts and tips!

Traveling at the age of 20 with your friends is a guaranteed fun time but when you do amazingly fun excursions like the Makani Catamaran, it just makes your vacations a thousand times better! This was by far the best catamaran we have been on! The staff is AMAZING. The crew is so helpful and funny. They make you feel like your part of their crew for sure. We loved spending time on the water and hearing all they had to say about the islands and animals. The captain was great! We will be doing this again!

We saw a sea turtle and a group of dolphins followed us for a while and did some "tricks". No whales on this trip but the crew made the experience fun by telling jokes and talking about the animals.

I can't say enough nice things about our trip on the Makani Catamaran! The staff were warm and friendly, the drinks we're tasty and the views were breathtaking. We had the opportunity to stand in the Captain's Galley and take photos. Captain Jon was so accommodating and thoughtful - he even offered to take our picture. This is one experience you do not want to miss out on! Highly recommend.

The boat was in great shape, staff was very professional and committed to safety. I appreciated that more than anything. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone visiting the Island, the views are well worth it. Great value trip!

So, full disclosure I was pretty skeptical that this would be fun at all. In fact, this was totally my wifes idea. That said, of all the things we did in Hawaii, this ended up being one of my favorites. We had been doing pushing ourselves pretty hard for several days up to this point and it was just really nice to sit back for a couple hours with drinks in hand and hang out as a family. We sat on the netting in the front and our 9,7, and 5 year old kids thought it was awesome to watch the water go by underneath and at one point even had some dolphins following us. 100% would suggest and will definitely do again.

I am so happy that I booked this during our trip to Hawaii. The crew was nice, hospitable, and very engaging. They made the sail super fun for everyone on board. Our captain was even able to show us sea turtles and a whale, even though we were not promised that when booking! Plus there was a full service bar and the drinks were awesome! I would definitely recommend to everyone. It is definitely worth it.

This was our second time with them, we booked the sunset sail and it was so worth it and fun. Would definitely booked with them again if we get another chance to visit the island. Thanks for the good time!!!

Wonderful experience at a great price! And very flexible, as we had to reschedule because of a possible weather delay on if inbound flight. The check in and boarding process was easy, the hospitality was excellent, and the views were unbelievable. Highly recommend. We would do it again.

We enjoyed our voyage upon the Kepoikai II Catamaran. I chose Kepoikai because I wanted a chill cruise for my family, minus the drunk adults that can be found boarding the other catamarans. The crew and captain exceeded my expectations and I'll be sure to sail again. Be sure to make your way at least 10-15 minutes before your sail time. They're located on the shoreline of Waikiki Beach between the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and the main Outrigger Waikiki Beach Hotel, in front of Dukes Waikiki.

My family and I had a great time. I have three young daughters and they had a blast going out on the catamaran. They got wet sitting on the nets but not once complained. Ready for our 1 hr cruise on board Kepoikai II 8/11/24 off Waikiki Beach

Loved this sunset cruise and if you're on the fence and looking for a relaxed outing this is the boat for you! Best part is that it is a "smaller" vessel so it's more intimate and not crowded with people. The crew was extremely friendly, took pictures for people, and allowed you to sit wherever you wanted. They even had towels for those who sat on the net and got soaked from the waves. I recommend sitting in the front but not on the net if you don't want to get wet. This boat is centrally located right on the beach and super easy to find. We stayed at the Sheraton and it was a no brainer to book this one.

Maita’i offers a variety of sailings for you to choose from. Enjoy the Island sun on our Trade Wind sails. Looking for something a bit more romantic? Try our Sunset Mai Tai or Fireworks Sail.

You may also book one of our Exclusive Charters available with an open bar. Maita’i is always available for private use for weddings, receptions, parties, family gathering services and many other special needs. All charter reservations are subject to separate contract. Please call or e-mail for additional information.

Check-in is on the beach behind the Sheraton Waikiki and Halekulani Hotels. All sails are barefoot boarding – passengers may get splashed while boarding or sailing, so you may want to bring a towel. Current ID is required to be served alcoholic beverages. Please note – we do have a 48 hour cancellation or rescheduling policy. To cancel or change a reservation, you must speak with one of our reservation specialists previous to 48 hours before the sailing time. For large groups (18 or more), we require 2 weeks notice of any cancellations or changes.

Mai Tais, beer, champagne, wine, juices and soft drinks from our bar are available for purchase onboard. Kiss the tour bus goodbye. This is the ride of your life. 90 minutes of pure exhilaration with the wind and waves off Waikiki as your engine. Our crew will be serving up Mai Tai cocktails, beer, champagne, wine, juices and soft drinks, along with plenty of personality. Get ready to have fun and get wet. (Or not, depending where you sit.) And make friends from all over the world. It’s the #1 sail around…at least according to anyone who’s ever been on it.

Open Bar – Beverages include Mai Tais, beer, wine, champagne, juices and soft drinks. Sail on our Maita`i Afternoon Delite Sail which departs at 3:00pm. Set sail from Waikiki Beach and enjoy the panoramic views of our island and enjoy our “Delite”ful friends that we encounter such as whales (seasonal), dolphins, turtles and flying fish to name a few. This ninety minute sail comes complete with your beverages: Mai Tai’s, beer and wine to name a few!

Open Bar – Beverages include Mai Tais, beer, wine, champagne, juices and soft drinks. This is one Mai Tai you’ll remember. But bring your camera anyway. You’ll board barefoot from Waikiki Beach, then sail into the sunset sipping a fruity Mai Tai. (Great name, don’t you think?) We’ll also be serving beer, wine, juices and soft drinks if you prefer. And, of course, plenty of water. This romantic journey offers golden views of Diamond Head, Waikiki and Honolulu’s cityscape, as the sun paints the sky and melts into the sea.

If you enjoyed our other sails, you’ll love the Maita’i Fireworks Sail on Fridays at 7:00pm! Shimmering water and twinkling lights make up the scenery, as you glide across the deep blue sea.  It’s a feeling like no other. A 90-minute expedition, complete with the usual beverage service and charming captain and crew – only this time with a spectacular firework display off the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Head over to Waikiki Beach, and make your way past the Duke Kahanamoku Statue to the Mana Kai Catamaran with its iconic rainbow sails. Once you board, sit back, relax, and enjoy the incredible views of Diamond Head and Waikiki as the sun begins to set and transforms the sky into an array of colors.

• Please utilize the public restrooms located at Waikiki Beach prior to boarding as there are no restrooms on board the vessel.

• As this is a BYOB cruise, you are encouraged to bring water, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during your cruise, as well as snacks and other types of food.
• All guests must be at least 21 years old with a valid government issued photo ID to consume any alcoholic beverages
• Guests who are prone to seasickness should take a motion sickness preventative one hour prior to departure.

Additional notes

• The activity schedule is subject to change or cancellation due to weather or traffic conditions.
• Start times vary seasonally depending on the sunrise and sunset.
• Gratuity is not included in the price.
• Participants should be barefoot or wear flip-flops since you will board the vessel from the shore rather than a pier, and you will wade into the water up to your knee.
• A maximum of four (4) infants are allowed on the cruise at no charge. Should there be more than four (4) infants in your booking or if there are already infants confirmed at no charged on the cruise, any additional infants booked will be charged the full fare.
• The check-in and departure location may be subject to change during the summer months due to high tide / rough shorebreak. You will be notified of any changes on the day of your tour. The alternate location for Mana Kai Catamaran is at Kewalo Harbor, approximately a 15-minute drive from the original check-in location.

This was my second time on the Mana Kai Catamaran. First time was doing the sea turtle snorkeling tour. It was fun being able to watch the sunset and see Diamond Head and the city from the ocean. The staff were very frie ... ndly and amazing. Was also fun sitting on the net and getting splashed by the water! I definitely recommend this tour for everyone!

The Manakai Catamaran is a double-hulled catamaran that can accommodate up to 26 passengers with central seating and forward netting. Embarking from Waikiki Beach right in front of the iconic statue of Duke Kahanamoku, the instantly-recognizable rainbow sail sets the Mana Kai apart. An environmentally-friendly, US Coast Guard-certified vessel standing at 32 feet long and 16 wide, the Manakai catamaran guarantees a fun and relaxing adventure on the waters of Waikiki!

The Manu Kai crew invites you to join us on our nightly fun Waikiki Sunset Sail. Experience sailing, sightseeing, complimentary cocktails, the beautiful Hawaiian sunset, and, if you’re lucky, the rare green flash! It can get pretty wild out there, you just might get wet!

Our Sunset Sail boards strictly at 5 p.m. and departs Waikiki Beach at 5:30 p.m. Groups who do not check-in by 5:00 p.m. will lose their reservation to standby guests without any option to rebook or refund. Sunset sails are a flat rate price and all guests must purchase a ticket to attend including children/infants.
