I think it might work for you. My wrist is between 6.5-6.75"; I wear a 40mm professional. It isn't a maxi case model. I have a 6.5 wrist too! I tried on the yachtmaster 40 and I love the size. Honestly the 37 would fit your wrist but the dial ends up fairly small because of the diving bezel. Like a 37 YM is like a 34-35 OP dial size.
