The ship typically leaves approximately 1 hour after boarding begins. Check each event for details as sometimes it is 90 minutes (typically buffet tickets). The cruise lasts approximate 90 minutes from when boarding ends.

Parking at Rafters Landing can fill up quickly, so we urge you to take public transit, a taxi, Uber, walk, or carpool, and always remind you to drink responsibly. If you must drive, please leave enough time to find parking.You are likely to receive a ticket if you park on the grass at Rafters Landing. An additional parking lot is available at Henrietta Muir Edwards Park, just east of Rafters Landing near the new LRT bridge. There is also street parking along 96A Street and 98A Avenue, north of 98 Avenue.

2.) The EcoFloat Experience: Serene Morning Nature Floats & Stunning Sunset Floats

This captivating adventure in Edmonton and Calgary spans 10 kilometres, guiding guests beneath city bridges, past historical landmarks, and through unique natural encounters along your river. Led by our experienced and certified interpretive guides, you’ll delve into the natural history and geology of the Bow or North Saskatchewan Rivers, both teeming with diverse wildlife, including deer, beavers, numerous bird species, and more. Gain insights into our watershed and its significance in our daily lives while surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Surprisingly, the city’s hustle and bustle will fade away as you immerse yourself in this serene adventure suitable for the whole family, starting from age 6. Our EcoFloat tours in South Calgary along the Bow River and west-central through downtown Edmonton along the North Saskatchewan River last approximately 3 hours, dependent on river conditions.

SUMMER IS HERE AND THE HEAT IS ON!!

Our guests often find that floating on water is a GREAT way to keep cool. There are many options to beat the heat! Here are 5 tips to beat to stay cool while rafting with RiverWatch!

• Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!  One of the most common first aid situations we encounter on the river during the summer months is dehydration, which is why drinking plenty of water is essential. During long periods of sun exposure, staying hydrated is your most effective strategy against dehydration. We recommend drinking water before you get on the river, while on the river, and while relaxing in the evening. A top tip is to invest in a locking carabiner and clip it onto your water bottle to hook it on your clothing or somewhere nearby on the raft for easy access.
• Dip Your Hat, Shirt, or Sarong!  With freshwater all around you, it’s easy to dip your hat or shirt into the river for instant relief from the heat. We also recommend that guests bring a lightweight scarf or sarong, which can be soaked and worn around the head and neck to help cool you down. This is particularly useful during long stretches on the river.
• Cover Up!  When the mercury rises, your instinct might be to strip down to the bare essentials. However, to avoid heatstroke, staying covered and protecting your body against the sun’s harmful rays is important. Wear a wide-brim hat. Invest in lightweight, quick-drying clothing with built-in UPF (ultraviolet protection factor). This will protect your arms and legs, even if you haven’t lathered them in sunscreen.
• Slather on the Sunscreen!  It should go without saying, but sunscreen is an absolute must during hot, sunny days on the river. Look for a waterproof sunscreen and apply it multiple times a day to maintain continuous protection. We recommend applying sunscreen in the morning when you get up (don’t forget places like your ears and lips), then reapplying it each time your raft pulls over for a break or a meal. Yes, you may feel a little greasy at the end of the day, but it’s better than dealing with sleepless nights due to sunburn.
• If you feel overheated, please let your guide know immediately! While your RiverWatch guides are trained in First Aid and educated to recognize the signs of heat-related illnesses, it’s always helpful to be self-informed and recognize any warning signs in yourself or your guests. Your guides are always your first and best resource for any first aid or safety-related questions or concerns while you’re out on the river.

Then there’s Burton Cummings of The Guess Who.

In 2025, the legendary Canadian singer-songwriter — who brought the world “These Eyes,” “American Woman,” “No Sugar Tonight,” “Laughing,” “No Time” and so many more hits — will celebrate his 60th (!) year in the biz with a tour of North America .

That includes shows at Collingswood, NJ’s Scottish Rite Auditorium on Friday, Oct. 4 and Westbury, NY’s Westbury Music Fair on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

“We’re comin’ back for rock ‘n roll,” the 76-year-old shared on Instagram . “I’ll be singing my solo songs, I’ll be singing my Guess Who songs and we’ll be rockin’.”

If you want to see the classic rock icon live, tickets are available for all 41 of his ’60th Anniversary Hits Tour.’

Cummings isn’t the only Guess Who alum on the road this year.

From August through November, Randy Bachman will be hitting venues all over the U.S. with his other group, Bachman-Turner Overdrive .
