Designed by the legendary Sparkman & Stephens team, the Morris M29 is the perfect daysailer for single handed sailing as well as a super performer around the bouys in club racing.  All lines are led aft for ease of trimming the sails in the deep safe cockpit.  She has tiller steering and a Hall Spar carbon mast.  "Psyche" has a trailer in excellent condition which makes for easy economical storage in the off season. The owners have updated the following since purchasing in 2021:

• Electrical and hoses all serviced and updated
• Trailer totally refurbished: Replaced wheels, hubs and 5 tires; brake and brake actuator replaced; wiring harness and lights replaced; repaired trailer jacks; replaced wooden pads

Luscious Morris M29 2016

Specification.

The M29 evolved from the success of her larger sister, the M36 Daysailer.  Keeping the combination of stunning traditional aesthetics with modern naval architecture and materials, the M29 provides a tiller for ultimate feel under sail.  Sail handling is simplified with a self tacking jib with all control lines led back to the cockpit.  Clever use of block and tackles under deck provide mechanical advantage, allowing the elimination of winches, resulting in a clean and simple layout.  Underway, the modified fin keel with bulb and carbon spade rudder produce nimble and lively performance under sail or motor.

LUSCIOUS is a beautiful example of the M29 and has been a fresh water boat since new.  Carefully maintained by her original owner, she was tastefully customized and is in the water and ready to go for her next owner.  An included custom trailer simplifies transport and storage.

29' Morris Annie '82 " Mollymawk "

Mollymawk is the kind of boat everyone would love to find.  A boat that is better than new with all the correct updates while still paying homage to her design and pedigree. The refit was done in Maine by Classic Boat Shop, a professional boat building company owned by the husband and wife who built out her interior originally. Nothing was spared on her and it shows.

The Morris Annie was intended as an ocean-going small cruiser with a strong emphasis on speed and sailing ability. The Annie 29 boasts charm, simplicity, and quality craftsmanship. The top priority in her design was comfortable cruising, and comfortable she is: her healthy displacement results in an extremely gentle motion at sea. Her designer, Chuck Paine, conceptualized her as “the ultimate boat for the working man… large enough to become a man’s home, seaworthy enough to handle any ocean, fast enough to offer her owner any port in the world… and no more.”

The Forward cabin offers 6'0" headroom with a single 6'2" berths (wider filler piece at head) and a workbench with two drawers.  Natural light and air flow through 2 screened opening ports (one to starboard and one fwd), and an overhead opening hatch.  Storage is under the V berth cushions, in a cabinet and 2 flip-down cabinets below the berth and workbench, and in a hanging locker with shelves aft to starboard. 

 Aft to port is the enclosed head with 5'9" headroom.  Stainless sink with Fynspray manual fresh water pump.  Lavac head and waste hoses and holding tank new in 2014.  Storage is in hullside cabinets and in a teak cabinet below the sink.  A dorade above and a screened opening cabin port provide ventilation.

 The headroom in the main salon is 5'9", with a 6'5" settee (with lee cloth) to starboard and a settee to port.  The interior cushions were new in 2004 and still look new. A mahogany table is mounted on center, with hinged leaves. Fresh air and light pour through 6 opening ports to port and starboard, 2 round opening ports aft, and an overhead opening hatch.  Storage is in 3 teak-faced cabinets and 2 large flip down cabinets to port, and in 2 teak-faced cabinets, 2 fiddled book shelves, and 3 large flip down cabinets to starboard. Additional storage is below both the forward end of the starboard berth, the entire port berth, and under the cabin sole.

 The navigation station is across, to port of the companionway.  Fwd facing chart table folds to provide very airy and light head of quarter berth.   Additional storage is on 2 fiddled hullside shelves.  The quarterberth is aft of this and is over 7' long, with storage underneath.

 The cockpit is very comfortable with seats to port and starboard, each long enough to stretch out on.  The height of the coaming is perfect for providing a supportive backrest.  There is a deep starboard cockpit locker, line storage locker to port, and lazerette aft.  All new solid teak cockpit locker lids 2013

The U-shaped galley is aft to starboard, convenient to the companionway. A large stainless steel sink provides manual fresh water. (2) screened opening ports provide ventilation. New Origo 4000 2-burner alcohol stove is outboard with a stainless lined cubby below.  Additional storage is in a deep & efficient ice box below the aft counter, in (3) flip down cabinets and a cubby along the hullside, (2) deep under-counter pots & pans bins, and in teak-faced cabinets under the sink and under the aft counter.

Mollymawk had an extensive professional refit done by Classic Boat Shop in Maine over several months winter 2013-14.  Her mast was pulled, stripped and painted, all the hardware was removed from the deck and the whole boat was awlgripped.  Then new nonskid was put down and all deck hardware was either rebedded or replaced.
