Hello I am looking into buying a 48 landfall 1981 model My biggest concern is the balsa coring of the hulls From everything I have read about wood coring its scares me Would appreciate any feedbacks and owners experiences with LF 48 hull core wetness de lamination or other coring hull issues De lamination

I owned a 1980 C&C 24 that had been in my family since 1984. Sold her in 2010. The only area we were having issues with the balsa core was the cockpit floor. The company did a really good job making the hulls in the time period, so as long as it was maintained well it should be fine. Be sure to get a good survey with moisture testing and hull sounding.
