Sea Spirit Cruises was launched to promote the discovery of Mauritius through live onboard sailing, around the island, and to St Brandon archipelago. We offer our clients a way to experience travel in Mauritius, Saint Brandon & Madagascar onboard our Brand new fleet of Nautitech Catamarans which offer comfort and safety at sea.

Our destination has long been know for its people & melting pot of cultures, beautiful beaches & tropical climate. Ever since the early 1980 day charter catamarans started offering the possibility of escaping from the main island for day trips to the outer isalnds surrounding Mauritius.

Frequently asked questions

Does the boat have a bathroom.

It has a flushable marine toilet for liquids only. The boat also has fresh water so you can rinse yourself from salt water.

Can we modify existing itineraries?

To some extent – yes. Sometimes we will have to because the weather isn’t always ideal and we want to stay in shallow, calm waters to keep the trip enjoyable.

Are there going to be other people on the boat with us?

If you have booked a private or a liveaboard charter NO else YES if you have booked our shared basis cruises.

Can we play our own music on the boat with us?

Absolutely. Our boats are equipped with sound systems that allow both a traditional jack as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

Are drinks included? Is there a cooler on the boat?

We have you covered as most of our cruises come with bottled water and soft drinks as well as ice cold beer, local Rhum & snacks. Should you need a bottle of champagne of spirits for a special occasion simply ask for our wine & spirits menu. We will make sure that the bottle/s you have ordered will be on board for when you cruise with us.

VOYAGE DC 45

Our fleet based in the South East of Mauritius comprises of 2 VOYAGE yachts DC 45 blue water cruising catamarans, manufactured in Cape Town South Africa. Our catamarans were built with meticulous attention to detail and to the highest international standards. Cat Cruiser was built in 2008 and Island Hopper in 2011. Both of our stylish and elegant catamarans are identical and operate from Preskil Beach Resort located on the South East Coast of Mauritius.

Our catamarans offer comfort, space and a large shaded open deck area  with seating for a number of guests. The catamarans also feature two large comfortable trampolines for sunbathing and relaxing, two bathrooms, two queen size cabins, hot and cold transom showers and a ladder at each stern for easy access into the lagoon. This makes the VOYAGE DC 45 the ultimate sailing catamaran for day sail excursions.

Deck Plans of the Catamarans

Our two brand new Scape 39 sailing catamarans, Wind Dancer 1 and Wind Dancer 2, were designed by the renowned boat architect Alex Simonis and custom-built in Cape Town, South Africa. They were delivered to Mauritius by sea in 2008 and 2009, respectively. The Scape 39 is a spacious and stable vessel, built for comfort, safety, ease of viewing and performance.

It has large (and very popular!) flat decks and trampolines for lounging in the sun, a huge shaded cockpit with seating for all passengers, and it offers 360 degree views for easy spotting of our abundant marine life, making it the perfect charter cruiser for Mauritius. For our popular overnight charters the Scape 39 comes with two queen-sized guest cabins, each with a private en suite, solid wood trimming (mainly Teak) and plenty of storage space. For all other charters the Scape 39 sits comfortably 42 adult passengers and is licensed as such in both South Africa and Mauritius. Both catamarans are equipped with all-modern navigational instruments and safety devices to ensure passenger safety.

Fontaine Pajot Mahé 36

Based on an Olivier Flahault design and with a Joubert / Nivelt hull, she is built for safe navigation with comfortable, bright living areas and a fully protected cockpit alongside the saloon. The Mahé 36 allows you to move around freely onboard, enjoying comfort while navigating or while moored. She also presents excellent sailing performances.

She is equiped with 3 cabins. One hull is reserved for the master state room with attached lavatory. The other accomodates two double cabins, each with all the comfort needed for a relaxing cruise.

Nautitech 475

The Nautitech 475 is a high-performance catamaran, reliable, stylish and made to standards ensuring comfortable and safe sailing that will satisfy the most demanding sailor. Priority has been given to comfort and ease of movement.

Her cockpit, on the same level as the salon, is accessible from the salon through two large doors, and is sheltered from the sun and the rain by an innovative, cap-shaped roof extension. As in all the upper deck.

After much research of various excursions, my husband and I choose the Tout Bagay tour on Jus Tango Catamaran. We had so much fun that we decided to go on the tour for a second time and added the horseback-riding option. The crew was very knowledgeable, organized and entertaining.

A fabulous way to experience the sulphur springs, a waterfall, amazing fish and coral (snorkelling), a taste of Soufriere, the Morne Estate for a delicious lunch and close-up views of Marigot Bay. Add the horse riding option for otherwise inaccessible spots with amazing views from up high.

If You want island viewing from at cat at sea, this is trip for you! If want history of town near Pitons-and Cajun lunch , this trip is for you! If you want volcano experience & face painting with volcanic mud, this trip is for you !! If you to snorkel & booze cruise (rum punch + Piton beer), this trip is for you!!!

We went to St. Lucia on a cruise ship. This was not our first trip to the island but definitely the most enjoyable so far. We booked a land / sea tour to Soufriere. Our tour started in Castries and went along the west coast by bus to Soufriere. Stopping a couple of times along the way for pictures.

We booked a trip around the west coast of the island on one of the company’s catamarans. It was an amazing way to see the sights. The crew were incredibly attentive and really looked after the passengers. The tour included a visit to the sulphur springs, which were brilliant.
