The ornate ballroom is a breathtaking space for your dream reception. This luxurious space features white crystal chandeliers hanging from a coffered ceiling, golden Chivari chairs, and large windows with panoramic views of the water. As the salty air mixes with the slight warm breeze, the fall season is such a beautiful time of year at the Jersey Shore and an even more perfect time for a wedding. Every one of our couples that celebrated their fairy tale wedding at Clarks Landing have had the most amazing, unforgettable time among the yacht club scene! For example, Meg and Jeff tied the knot on a brisk October day. The gorgeous couple along with their bridal party took some Clarks Landing Yacht Club Point Pleasant Wedding Photos which consisted of multiple fantastic portraits along a private dock overlooking the glowing river. A Classic Local- and International-Inspired Wedding at Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Delran, New Jersey

From their former "New Sweden" venue to local welcome bags and a Swedish flag theme reflected in their navy blue and gold color scheme, Lauren Towson (32 and a marketing director) and Andreas Nilsson's (33 and a medical director) classic wedding is filled with personalized international and local flair. Lauren Schwarz Photography captured every moment as the couple started their day with a traditional ceremony at Christ Episcopal Church and finished with a surprise-filled indoor reception at Clarks Landing Yacht Club complete with made-to-order Philly cheese steaks, a nine-piece live band, Swedish drinks and "Swedish" entrees. The team at Clarks Landing Yacht Club helped the couple acknowledge Andreas's Swedish heritage with "Swede old-fashioned" and "Henrik Stenson" signature drinks before serving a "Swedish salmon" entree. "Clarks Landings' chef agreed to change the salmon title from Norwegian to Swedish to surprise our guests," says Lauren. Another standout detail was the DIY welcome boxes. Lauren, Andreas and her parents filled 50 boxes with saltwater taffy from New Jersey, Pennsylvania Dutch pretzels, hangover kits, Swedish chocolates and more. For future couples, Lauren has a tip for the taking: "Slow down and have fun! It really goes by in a minute. We both tried to stay present in the moment throughout our wedding day so we could remember every minute after."

Russia Accidentally Bombs Own Village Near Ukraine

Russia said it had accidentally bombed a village in its southern Voronezh region near Ukraine on Tuesday but stressed there were no casualties.

The accident occurred the same day as Russia hit Ukraine with a large-scale missile attack.

It is not the first such incident during Moscow's almost two-year-long Ukraine offensive.

"On January 2, 2024, at around 9am Moscow time (GMT), during a flight of the Aerospace Forces, an abnormal discharge of aircraft ammunition occurred over the village of Petropavlovka in the Voronezh region," the Russian army said in a statement  quoted by Russian new agencies.

"There are no casualties," it added.

Petropavlovka lies some 150 kilometres (93 miles) east of the Ukraine border.

The ministry said six private houses were damaged in the accident, Russian news agencies reported.

"An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway. A commission is working on the ground to assess the nature of the damage and provide assistance to restoring houses," the statement read.

The governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, said some of Petropavlovka's residents have been moved to temporary accommodation.

He also said there were no casualties but said there was "destruction recorded in seven households."

In April last year, the Russian army acknowledged that one of its warplanes accidentally dropped a bomb in its own city of Belgorod, near the Ukraine border, causing a blast.
