Negents Canal Yacht Club

Like many other yacht clubs, Nugents Canal Yacht Club (NCYC), located in Port Clinton, Ohio is the product of a shared idea. In the summer of 1963, skippers Walt Lykens and Vince Nugent were standing together on dock 18 at their local marina gazing upon the rows of boats, when the topic of starting a yacht club came up. With both on board with the idea, they had a meeting that July at Sheer’s Little Store with twenty-three prospective members in attendance. Two weeks later, NCYC was formed with thirty-six founding members. Four years later NCYC had constructed a Clubhouse. Since their founding, the Club has grown to 120 members, remaining highly active in Port Clinton on the shore of Lake Erie.

Equipped with ice-breaking technology, these huge fancy yachts are the only river cruisers running all year around. The round trip journey takes two and a half hours and floats past all the big sights like the White House, Novodevichy monastery and the Kremlin. There’s a large open air observation deck up top, while the main body of the ship houses a restaurant with a dance floor for a romantic post dinner dance. For a particularly romantic experience take one of the evening boats and admire the bright lights of the city skyline at night.

The most relaxing and picturesque tour that Moscow can offer: a great way to see the city center and its main attractions. This is a perfect alternative to exploring the city by car, if you only have time to do sightseeing during weekday rush hours.

We conduct Moscow river tour on Radisson Flotilla boats all year around!  It’s warm inside during winter months, while there’s air conditioning during hot summer days. You may also treat yourself to drinks, lunch or dinner on board (drinks and food are not included in tour price).

2024 Seasonal Dockage Available

We are currently accepting applications for affordable dockage for the 2024 season.  we are located off the portage river in port clinton with easy access to the great western basin on lake erie. dockage is $20/foot all docks have 30 amp electrical and water hook up restroom and shower facilities ncyc membership required  due are $200/year nugent's canal yacht club is an active, family friendly club.  we host many events throughout the year.  membership includes access to our clubhouse, bar, and event center. for more information on dockage, contact our dock master, jason deal at (419) 680-0768..
