The North American J/80 Class held its East Coast Championship event from Friday, July 28th to Sunday, July 30th as part of the Lake Yacht Racing Association (LYRA) annual regatta in Kingston, Ontario.

The Lake Murray Yacht Racing Association (LMYRA) began as The Lake Murray Cruising Fleet by a group of sailors from all parts of the lake that enjoyed sailboat racing. LMYRA sponsored sailing events are open to any mono-hull, ballasted, self- righting sailboat of at least 20 feet having a cabin, operable engine and fuel.

Joining the Lake Yacht Racing Association offers a variety of benefits for both the individual sailor and yacht club. Member clubs qualify as potential hosts for both the Annual LYRA Regatta and the LYRA Jr. Regatta. LYRA members receive a reduced rate on entry fees at the Annual Regatta and qualify for over 50 coveted trophies awarded each year.
