DEEP BLUE provides comfortable accommodation for up to 12 guests within six well-appointed cabins, including a master suite and a twin cabin on the main deck, ideally suited for family charters. The lower deck features three double guest cabins and an additional twin cabin. The master suite is thoughtfully designed, featuring a private study and dressing room.

The main deck aft offers relaxed seating and direct access to the water-level swim platform, while the upper deck aft presents an exquisite exterior dining option for 12 guests.

The upper lounge of DEEP BLUE offers an abundance of natural light, making it a versatile space tailored for guest entertainment. This area is perfectly suited to accommodating movie evenings on the 85-inch HD cinema plasma screen.

The versatile sundeck hosts exercise equipment for morning workouts with a panoramic view. By nightfall, the sundeck transforms into a vibrant party venue adorned with disco lights and an impressive sound system.

Blue: 160m Lürssen superyacht delivered

Formerly known as Project Blue, the 160 metre superyacht has been delivered as Blue . She left the Lürssen facilities on Saturday and is currently on her maiden voyage to Malta.

First launched in February 2022, the yacht is now the fifth largest yacht in the world in terms of LOA. 

Terence Disdale has designed both the interior and exterior of the 15,320 GT superyacht, making full use of the yacht's 22.5 metre beam and generous decks. 

In a statement, the yard has said that an enhanced environmental focus was a key driver behind the build of Blue .  The yacht is one of the largest in the world to be equipped with diesel-electric power hybrid propulsion and she features PTI/PTO units that can be used for either electric propulsion (slow speeds) or for generating electrical energy to operate the vessel at higher speeds.

Blue also features an innovative after-treatment system and a wastewater treatment plan which is equipped with new membrane technology. This allows treated wastewater to be safely disposed of in "drinking water quality", according to the yard.

“To execute such a comprehensive project, an excellent team is necessary,” said Lürssen managing partner, Peter Lürssen. “We are very proud of Blue as yet another statement of Lürssen’s ability and desire to build yachts that meet all of our exacting owners’ requirements, guided by our core focus of expert engineering, beautiful design and being a proud market leader in developing sustainable technologies.”

In terms of features, the yacht has a pair of helicopter landing sites; a large helideck at the bow and a smaller helipad aft. Each of the four upper decks features a large al fresco entertaining area and there is a swimming platform connected to a beach club, plus forward stateroom balconies on either side.

Fresh from her successful sea trials in the North Sea, 55m (180’5”) luxury yacht IRIS BLUE  from Heesen has now been delivered to her new owners. Her exterior was designed by Omega Architects with interiors by Luca Dini Design & Architecture .

The trials lasted for three days, and she met all the required specifications in challenging conditions with waves of up to 1.7m and winds gusting up to 28 knots. She proved highly responsive, instilling great confidence in her manoeuvrability and robustness.

Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, the designer of the original series, carried out the restyle for this hull and had this to say. “As much as we love our original design with the vertical windows, we felt it was time to make an evolutionary step,” says Frank. “We opted for a larger expanse of floor-to-ceiling glass, without mullions in the main saloon. Then, we took the opportunity to give a slightly more aggressive look to the profile by using continuous sheets of tinted glass. The horizontal lines stretch the optical length and balance the air draft. The result is beautiful: we retained the family look and feel but gave it an elegant touch.”

The updated layout now offers a 78sqm owner’s stateroom with private terrace on the starboard side, a larger sundeck with a bar and spa plus a wide central atrium with main staircase and crew companionway.

The expansive flybridge offers a 360-degree view from the helm station, stylish lounge seating, an gas grill, wet bar, refrigerator and ice maker - perfect for enjoying cocktails and music with friends. For al fresco dining, the aft deck features a beautiful teak table for eight and unforgettable island views. They are passionate about the experience they deliver, cultivating a feeling of adventure and joy, that is sure to last far beyond your time in their care. Captain Dick Stuart Captain Dick Stuart, a mechanical engineer by training, enjoyed a successful career in construction sales management. He started his sailing career at the early age of 10 in an El Toro on Lafayette Reservoir in Northern California. Growing up, much of his time was spent sailing on San Francisco Bay and extensively bareboat chartering throughout the Caribbean. Captain Dick, in preparation for what he thought was a “retirement dream plan” continued to hone his sailing skills over the years. He holds a 100 TON MASTERS WITH SAILING ENDORSEMENT, an FCC Marine Radio Operators Certification and a Dive Instructor Certification. Captain Dick has an excellent reputation as “the troubleshooting ninja”, and uses his knowledge of mechanical systems to anticipate all the “what ifs.” Safety is Captain Dick’s priority for his guests, but FUN is his second! An adventure seeker and water lover, he moved to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico in 2017 and loves sailing the beautiful aquamarine waters and island hopping. Captain Dick welcomes all guests with his famous Captain’s Cocktails nightly! He is an avid Cribbage player and will challenge the best! Chef/Stew Kim Richards Kim’s love for sailing began in 2012,the first time she set foot on a catamaran in the BVI. She has been“hooked” ever since! After completed sailing classes in Colorado and California, Kim captained several catamarans in Mexico and the Caribbean. She delights in creating the ultimate pampering venue for guests and sharing the magical experience of sailing the beautiful Caribbean waters! An accomplished business owner, motivational speaker and author, she understands the ultimate importance of customer service and has a keen eye for personal detail. Kim is extremely passionate about food and hospitality, ensuring every delicious meal is prepared according to guest preference. The few minor items needing repair or replacement were promptly corrected by the captain. Comment on the cleanliness of DEEP BLUE * Deep Blue was very clean. Dear Christina and Adrien, We cannot thank you enough for an unforgettable week. Christina, every meal left us speechless and stuffed with amazing food. The crew was amazing and some of the best food was prepared. Memories made with friends bringing in the New Year was so much fun. First trip on the Deep Blue

I have never sailed before. For the first time in my life I was in heaven for a week! The warm breezes of the Caribbean, the teal blue water, the beautiful sunsets and snorkeling were only a mere mention compared to the amazing attention we received from Adrien our captain and our chef Christina. From the safety to the gourmet meals, this team surpassed even my wildest expectations. I have never felt so cared in all of our travels. The presentation of the food was incredible. Every detail was attended to and we had to beg to stop feeding us so much. But that’s not what was most incredible. Christina Merianos hit every meal out of the ball park with flavor, wine parings and selections that only added to our enjoyment each and every day. Her commitment to service was continually present every single day and she didn’t skip a beat. By the time we left we felt like family… no we were family. Adrien as a captain was equally amazing. His attention to the positions of the boat and our personal safety was held in the highest esteem every single day. It was over the top fun to sail sitting on the trampoline! Adrien was flexible and yet instructive on where we stayed and how we experienced each over night. Not once was I concerned over any issue being my first sail trip. He watched over us at every turn, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming and getting into that bouncy dingy! If we sail again, which I hope we can, I can only pray we get this amazing team each time. A wonderful trip

We had a wonderful trip on Deep Blue for our family spring break trip. Christina was instrumental in ensuring everything went smoothly, from pre-trip with meal and itinerary planning, through the trip in its entirety. She ensured we had everything we needed. What can I say?

So much! This was my first time on a catamaran yacht. It was one of my most enjoyable lifetime experience! Adrien is personable, professional who kept us safe and served all of us in many ways - captaining the yacht, instructing on operation systems on the boat, ferrying us in the dinghy and teaching me some sailing ! I feel like Adrien is a friend and made the luxurious cruise on a fantastic yacht an over he top experience! Thank you!
