The main deck boasts a cabin opening to a forward cockpit, while three more cabins below each have private ensuite baths. All cabins are air-conditioned. Inside, you´ll find a well-equipped galley and dining area with wrap-around seating for eight. Entertainment options include a flat-screen TV with a Bose surround sound system and select streaming services, onboard Starlink WiFi and an outdoor stereo with Bluetooth connectability. The expansive flybridge offers a 360-degree view from the helm station, stylish lounge seating, an gas grill, wet bar, refrigerator and ice maker - perfect for enjoying cocktails and music with friends. For al fresco dining, the aft deck features a beautiful teak table for eight and unforgettable island views. Ideal for SCUBA divers, Deep Blue is equipped with an onboard dive compressor and diving equipment, allowing you to explore the Caribbean Sea to its fullest. They are passionate about the experience they deliver, cultivating a feeling of adventure and joy, that is sure to last far beyond your time in their care. Captain Dick Stuart Captain Dick Stuart, a mechanical engineer by training, enjoyed a successful career in construction sales management. He started his sailing career at the early age of 10 in an El Toro on Lafayette Reservoir in Northern California. Growing up, much of his time was spent sailing on San Francisco Bay and extensively bareboat chartering throughout the Caribbean. Captain Dick, in preparation for what he thought was a “retirement dream plan” continued to hone his sailing skills over the years. He holds a 100 TON MASTERS WITH SAILING ENDORSEMENT, an FCC Marine Radio Operators Certification and a Dive Instructor Certification. Captain Dick has an excellent reputation as “the troubleshooting ninja”, and uses his knowledge of mechanical systems to anticipate all the “what ifs.” Safety is Captain Dick’s priority for his guests, but FUN is his second! An adventure seeker and water lover, he moved to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico in 2017 and loves sailing the beautiful aquamarine waters and island hopping. Captain Dick welcomes all guests with his famous Captain’s Cocktails nightly! He is an avid Cribbage player and will challenge the best! Chef/Stew Kim Richards Kim’s love for sailing began in 2012,the first time she set foot on a catamaran in the BVI. She has been“hooked” ever since! After completed sailing classes in Colorado and California, Kim captained several catamarans in Mexico and the Caribbean. She delights in creating the ultimate pampering venue for guests and sharing the magical experience of sailing the beautiful Caribbean waters! Dear Captain Dick and Chef/First Mate Kim, First things first: I wanna thank you both with all my heart—or as we say back home, from the bottom of my Talladega-loving heart—for the most unbelievable two weeks out on the shimmering seas of Antigua. If cruising were a NASCAR race, y’all just took the checkered flag and did a victory lap in a golden speedboat. Captain Dick, you steered us through those waters like I handle my Chevy on a racetrack—smooth, fast, and making it look easy. Every turn of the boat was like hitting the perfect drift. And Kim, lord have mercy, your cooking had more flair than a pit road on race day. I swear, those meals could win championships. They fueled us up better than my crew chief does before the final laps. Between the sunsets that looked like they were painted just for us, the laughter we shared, and the peace of being out there with nothing but the blue around us, I felt like I was in one of those fancy TV commercials. Except it was real life, and y’all were the stars of the show. So, from the depths of my racing soul, thank you for every moment, every meal, and every memory. We might not have been going 200 mph, but I’d say we were flying all the same. Let’s do it again sometime—shake and bake!

What an amazing experience this has been. You both went above and beyond to make this charter so memorable. Captain Dick made us feel so safe with his boat skills, and we enjoyed the chance to go diving. We loved the itinerary and knowledge of each anchorage we visited. She was completed by the famous yacht builder Leopard in 2016. A well-done refit was finalized in 2021. Captain Dick Stuart and Chef/Steward Kim Richards combine their love for each other, love of sailing, and commitment to exceptional hospitality to guarantee guests wonderful memories aboard DEEP BLUE. They are passionate about the experience they deliver, cultivating a feeling of adventure and joy, that is sure to last far beyond your time in their care. Captain Dick Stuart Captain Dick Stuart, a mechanical engineer by training, enjoyed a successful career in construction sales management. He started his sailing career at the early age of 10 in an El Toro on Lafayette Reservoir in Northern California. Growing up, much of his time was spent sailing on San Francisco Bay and extensively bareboat chartering throughout the Caribbean. Captain Dick, in preparation for what he thought was a “retirement dream plan” continued to hone his sailing skills over the years. He holds a 100 TON MASTERS WITH SAILING ENDORSEMENT, an FCC Marine Radio Operators Certification and a Dive Instructor Certification. Captain Dick has an excellent reputation as “the troubleshooting ninja”, and uses his knowledge of mechanical systems to anticipate all the “what ifs.” Safety is Captain Dick’s priority for his guests, but FUN is his second! An adventure seeker and water lover, he moved to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico in 2017 and loves sailing the beautiful aquamarine waters and island hopping. Captain Dick welcomes all guests with his famous Captain’s Cocktails nightly! He is an avid Cribbage player and will challenge the best! Chef/Stew Kim Richards Kim’s love for sailing began in 2012,the first time she set foot on a catamaran in the BVI. She has been“hooked” ever since! He started his sailing career at the early age of 10 in an El Toro on Lafayette Reservoir in Northern California. Growing up, much of his time was spent sailing on San Francisco Bay and extensively bareboat chartering throughout the Caribbean. Captain Dick, in preparation for what he thought was a “retirement dream plan” continued to hone his sailing skills over the years.<br /> <br /> He holds a 100 TON MASTERS WITH SAILING ENDORSEMENT, an FCC Marine Radio Operators Certification and a Dive Instructor Certification. Captain Dick has an excellent reputation as “the troubleshooting ninja”, and uses his knowledge of mechanical systems to anticipate all the “what ifs.” <br /> <br /> Safety is Captain Dick’s priority for his guests, but FUN is his second! He started his sailing career at the early age of 10 in an El Toro on Lafayette Reservoir in Northern California. Growing up, much of his time was spent sailing on San Francisco Bay and extensively bareboat chartering throughout the Caribbean. Captain Dick, in preparation for what he thought was a “retirement dream plan” continued to hone his sailing skills over the years.<br /> <br /> He holds a 100 TON MASTERS WITH SAILING ENDORSEMENT, an FCC Marine Radio Operators Certification and a Dive Instructor Certification. Captain Dick has an excellent reputation as “the troubleshooting ninja”, and uses his knowledge of mechanical systems to anticipate all the “what ifs.” <br /> <br /> Safety is Captain Dick’s priority for his guests, but FUN is his second! An adventure seeker and water lover, he moved to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico in 2017 and loves sailing the beautiful aquamarine waters and island hopping. <br /> <br /> Captain Dick welcomes all guests with his famous Captain’s Cocktails nightly! Her commitment to service was continually present every single day and she didn’t skip a beat. By the time we left we felt like family… no we were family.<br /> <br /> Adrien as a captain was equally amazing. His attention to the positions of the boat and our personal safety was held in the highest esteem every single day. BP318 – DEEP BLUE

Specifications.

The new Deep Blue 85´ was designed for Mrs. Wendy Schmidt, co-founder of 11th Hour Racing. A well-known figure on the Maxi and Classic circuits for over 10 years, Mrs. Schmidt wanted a new racing yacht that would combine both optimum performance with a heightened, more responsive racing experience.

The boat was engineered by Pure, built by King Marine and launched in Valencia in 2020. The yacht comes rigged with Future Fibres ECsix rigging and a Southern Spars mast and boom to allow it to reach its highest racing potential. The 7.0 metres draft lifting keel was engineered and built by APM.
