“The launch of the first WiLder 60 in Fano is not just a milestone for Wider and for the WiLder brand, but also represents a leap forward in what a 60-footer can offer and how can be built,” Maggi said in a statement.

First WiLder 60 Yacht in Fano

Built to her European owner’s exacting specifications, the first example has a custom layout and bespoke finishes. The interior features two twin guest cabins amidship and a large owner’s suite forward. Between the accommodation lies a sprawling salon with a designer galley and relaxation area. Wider says the decor hints at “elegant debauchery,” with luxurious leathers contrasting sleek marbles and sumptuous fabrics.

Outside, there’s a party deck forward and a social deck aft with sun pads and an alfresco dining area. The helm sits neatly at the center, with a windshield protecting seafarers from the elements. This speedster is sure to generate some spray, too.

Crafted entirely from lightweight aluminum, the sleek performance hull is engineered to slice through the waves. The 60 is equipped with a pair of 1,300 hp MAN V-8 engines that give it a cruising speed of 35 knots, a maximum speed of 40 knots, and a range of 325 nautical miles. The yacht also has a shallow draft of just over 3 feet, enabling cruising in shallow waters.

The inaugural hull was launched at Wider’s Vision Hub in Fano, but the rest of the WiLder series will be built at its Superyacht Hub in Venice. There are already two more bespoke WiLder 60s under construction, too. Stay tuned.

Top 13 Luxury Sport Fishing Yachts You Need to See

  • By Yachting Staff
  • Updated: August 8, 2024

It is possible to fish from any type of boat, but a sportfishing yacht is purpose-built for angling aficionados to chase fish of all sizes and species, whether it’s fun fishing for sailfish and mahi-mahi off the beach in Palm Beach or campaigning a professional-level billfish crew on the high-profile (and big-money) tournament circuit from the Bahamas to Bermuda and back. The best sport-fishing yachts combine rugged, blue-water construction with performance, range, agile handling and the comforts of luxury-yacht living. On the outside, sportfish yachts are notable for their dance-floor size cockpits for fish fighting; livewells to keep baits kicking; in-deck fish boxes to keep the catch chilled; and an armada of rod holders for drift fishing, kite fishing or trolling. They also are known for big diesel horsepower and speed, often north of 40 knots. Sportfish yachts are also notable for luxurious interiors with supple leathers, granite countertops, high-end galley appliances and spacious staterooms. These are highly self-sufficient angling platforms geared for life beyond the horizon where the water is deep and the fish are big.

  • Bayliss Boatworks 60 : The first walkaround model for this noted boatbuilder, Sequentis is designed to fish the competitive South Florida tournament sailfish circuit .
  • Viking 90 Convertible : The flagship of the Viking fleet, the 90C leads a new breed of mega-yacht sport-fishing boats.
  • Merritt 88 Sky Bridge : The renowned custom boatbuilder introduces an 88-foot sky-bridge model designed for global sportfishing adventures.
  • Duffie 70 : This 70-footer from Maryland’s Duffie Boatworks blends craftsmanship, performance and fishability.
  • Albemarle 53 Spencer Edition : Blending production efficiency with custom-boat design was a dream several years in the making, and the result is well worth the effort.
  • Winter 46 : The boatbuilders at Winter Custom Yachts have optimized the walkaround concept with this MAN-diesel-powered 46-footer.

Viking Yachts 82 Convertible

Viking Yacht Company recently debuted its newest sport-fisherman: the 82 Convertible . Hull No. 1 is serving as the factory demo for the busy summer tournament season in Bermuda and along the East Coast. Thanks to many factors, including the use of computational fluid dynamics, performance is exceptional: twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines provide a reported 42-knot top hop and a 36-knot cruise speed. This 82-footer also leverages several proven systems for ease of use and efficiency, such as digital switching from Octoplex as well as the Optimus electronic power steering system. The Viking 82 is engineered for many systems that were previously custom installations and are now on the options sheet, including omnidirectional sonar, multiple water makers and crushed ice machines, tuna tube bait systems as well as the extensive use of refrigerated storage boxes. The Viking 82 is available in three models: open bridge, enclosed bridge and sky bridge.

Royal Huisman 171

A 171-foot sportfisherman? Yes. That’s exactly what the six-deck Special One is, from Dutch builder Royal Huisman. The interior and exterior design is from noted Dutch yacht-design firm Vripack, which calls the vessel “a sport-fisher on steroids.” The hull and superstructure of the supersize sportfish is Alustar aluminum, a material known for its strength and relatively light weight. Even with six decks, Vripack has managed to create sleek lines. It starts with a high freeboard forward that seemingly dares the ocean to approach. Transitioning from the bow, the sheerline slopes downwards in a steady cadence. The flowing sheerline resolves seamlessly at the cockpit. The vessel’s raked house and stacked deck are juxtaposed against the long profile, creating a sinewy aesthetic, which is no simple feat in this 171-footer. Add in all of the expected angling accouterments and 30-knot speed, and you have a sportfish yacht ready to chase fish around the world.

Rybovich 94

Size, speed and agility is a unique trifecta in a sportfish boat, but the 94-foot, 41-knot III Amigos from Michael Rybovich and Sons checks all those boxes as well as a few more too. The sportfish boat, designed by Patrick Knowles with naval architecture from Dusty Rybovich, is built in cold-molded mahogany. Prop pockets help keep the boat’s half-load draft down to a Bahamas-friendly 5 feet. The Rybovich 94’s impressive speed is helped by a pair of beefy 2,600 hp MTU diesels.

The owner of III Amigos also owns a 196-foot Feadship superyacht and, while he wanted the sportfish to be all business on the outside, he wanted luxury-yacht finishes on the inside. Subtle but telling touches are the solid doors to the staterooms; each mimics the owner’s Feadship with ¾-inch thickness. The doors close flush (each has hidden hinges), and the sound is of a Rolls-Royce door closing.

Release Boatworks 43 Gameboat

Reminiscent of arguably one of the most classic sport-fishing boats of all time—the 43-foot Merritt—the 43 Gameboat from Release Boatworks takes that design to a new level of sophistication and performance. These include a hull built using blister-resistant modified epoxy resin, which is vacuum-infused using Airex foam cores with E-glass hybrid fiberglass laminates to maximize strength while minimizing weight. The stringers are built with fiberglass encapsulated foam, and the bulkheads are vacuum-infused with composite cores. The extensive use of composite materials throughout the boat creates a strong finished product and saves a great deal of weight, providing admirable performance. With standard twin 550 hp Cummins QSB6.7 diesels, the 43 Gameboat cruises at 30 knots and tops out at 35 knots. Notable options include 600 hp Cummins QSCs or Volvo Penta D-8s, omni sonar, gyrostabilization and various tower options. The Release 43 Gameboat is also available in walkaround, flybridge walkaround or express layouts.

Viking Yachts 38 Billfish

The Viking Yachts 38 Billfish offers a special place in the hearts of bluewater sport-fishing enthusiasts around the world, with its combination of versatility, comfort and performance. The reasons are numerous. As an owner-operator vessel, the 38 Billfish offers simplicity and ease of maintenance, serving as a ready-to-go fishing machine that is equally adept at inshore and offshore excursions as well as for extended cruising with family and friends, thanks to its reliable inboard diesel power. It has a large cockpit as well as the speed and range to fish well offshore alongside much larger vessels, while also providing a fast, safe and comfortable ride in a variety of sea conditions.

Jarrett Bay Boatworks 64

North Carolina’s Jarrett Bay Boatworks latest build is the 64-foot beauty known as Rebelette . From its spacious tackle center to a one-of-a-kind walnut interior Hull No. 65 is a tailored fit, and it also has the latest in propulsion tech in the form of twin 2,025 hp Caterpillar C23B diesels. Taking full advantage of the Cat power, Rebelette cruises comfortably at 1,750 rpm while making an easy 31 knots. With 1,650 gallons of fuel, it has range to spare at this speed. Push this vessel up to 1,950 rpm to reach a fast cruising speed of 37 knots, which is impressive in any book. Wide-open throttle is 43 knots, fully loaded and ready to fish.

F&S Boatworks 82

F&S Boatworks’ stellar reputation stands tall in the world of custom sportfish builders so it’s no surprise that its latest creation, the 82-foot Special Situation , continues the tradition. One of the hallmarks of any F&S is the performance and Special Situation certainly doesn’t disappoint in that department. Powered by a pair of  2,600 hp MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, at 2,000 rpm and 80 percent engine load, cruising speed is 36 knots, burning just south of 200 gallons per hour. Backing off to 1,650 rpm, it’s using 122 gph at 28 knots. At the other end of the spectrum, the top hop is more than 42 knots at 2,450 rpm.

Bayliss Boatworks 60

The 60-foot Sequentis was recently delivered to its new owners by the team at Bayliss Boatworks and it represents the first walkaround design for the storied North Carolina custom boatbuilder. Designed for live-bait tournament sailfishing in South Florida, Sequentis has 360-degree fishability as well as multiple livewells and pitch-bait tubes. And in a sport where having the ability to quickly relocate to a hot bite can mean the difference between finishing in first place or dead last, Sequentis is also fast. Powered by two MTU 12V2000 M96X diesel engines, it reportedly hit speeds of well over 42 knots during the initial sea trials in July 2024.

Featuring luxurious interiors, advanced electronics and twin 2,600 hp MTU engines, this sport-fisherman offers yacht-level comfort, high performance and functionality for long-range angling adventures. The Merritt 88’s performance is greatly enhanced due to the extensive use of carbon fiber, Corecell and advanced epoxy in its construction, making this boat not only stronger, but also lighter weight and faster than its predecessors.

Albemarle 53 Spencer Edition

Albemarle Boats and Spencer Yachts formed a partnership to design and build a semicustom Carolina boat, with the goal of bringing in the characteristic design elements, styling and performance from the custom world but to do it in a production setting, allowing for faster build times on the order of months rather than years. It was a dream several years in the making, and the result is the Albemarle 53 Spencer Edition .

Winter Custom Yachts

Tim Winters and his team of boatbuilders at Winter Custom Yachts in North Carolina have truly optimized the walkaround concept, taking full advantage of its inherent versatility. Anglers are no longer confined to the limited space in the cockpit and have the freedom to fight fish all the way around the boat from bow to stern. Even just taking the family on a shorthanded picnic cruise is safer and easier since everyone has full access to the bow without having to navigate a slippery deck. Its latest 46-footer , Thumper , is one of the most versatile boats in this size range on the water today.

Fast and furious Neo 400 is claimed to be the ‘fastest cruising 40-footer in the world’

  • Toby Hodges
  • February 20, 2015

Is the boast plausible? Toby Hodges takes a close look at this muscular racer-cruiser

40 knot yacht

A sign that brags ‘the fastest cruising 40-footer in the world’ is a sure-fire way to attract attention. My first impressions of the Neo 400 stern-to at the Genoa Boat Show made me question that statement, but the more I discovered about this quirky boat, the more the boast seemed plausible.

She’s a little like the tweaked road cars in the Fast and Furious film series – ie not an out-an-out racing design, but a muscular racer-cruiser with accommodation.

The Neo is built entirely in carbon (optionally pre-preg), so weighs a butterfly-light 4.8 tonnes, with exactly half of that in her torpedo-shaped keel. And like the nitro-fuelled Japanese cars in the blockbuster films, she is capable of exhilarating speeds – reportedly up to 24 knots downwind.

The prototype has clocked 10,000 miles since launching in February. Once Paolo Semeraro, the man behind her conception, had finished showing me round the boat, she departed for the Rolex Middle Sea Race.

America’s Cup designer Giovanni Ceccarelli drew the Neo for racing under ORCi and IRC ratings. Her hull is optimised for max waterline length at 20° heel and features a slightly reverse stem. The result is, says Semeraro: “She sails upwind like an Xp44 and downwind like a Class 40.”

Unusual options include a very deep keel and high aspect rudder, which can retract for accessing shallower waters. Both aft cabins include three single berths that can be canted to the optimum windward angle to suit racing crews. And forward of the mast a loft option is offered, which is left open to create a large saloon.

Neo 400 interior

Neo 400 interior

Another notable feature is the double compression post in the centre of the interior, which looks like carbon scaffolding, but serves to absorb mast base and shroud base loads. Construction throughout looks rigid, including solid laminate ringframes, a Weldox steel keel fin and a lead bulb.

The Neo is built at Banks Sails in Bari, Italy. It produces two carbon sails per day on average so boasts plenty of laminating experience. It is no surprise then that a large sailplan has been developed for the boat to include a square-top main and a generous foretriangle for asymmetric sails flown off a fixed sprit.

A planned Neo 550 looks sleeker and more refined. With greater attention given to the accommodation and weighing just over ten tonnes, she could be one to watch. The 400 viewed was a working prototype, which was obvious from the standard of finish. And I suspect, however fast or furiously she sails, the price of construction may ensure she remains a niche boat.

Viking 90 poised to become the next king of large sportfishing yachts.

The evolution of the Viking 90 is an excellent example of how Viking overcomes challenges to continue building a better boat every day. The Viking 92 was a tremendous success, proving that a sportfishing yacht of its size could win consistently on the tournament trail. Viking delivered 21 boats in less than seven years, with owners enjoying the luxury and style of a mega yacht and the sportfishing DNA that only Viking could deliver.

Viking would have continued production of the 92 but not for an international mandate requiring the installation in the 92 of a heavy, bulky and potentially dangerous exhaust-treatment technology called Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). The SCR systems in the 92 would have increased purchase and operating costs of the boat; added significant weight; reduced performance; hindered accessibility for service; compromised safety; and required additional ventilation and onboard tankage. The technology to scale down SCR to a level where it could be effectively engineered for installation in the 92 simply did not exist yet. Viking fought hard for an extension of an exemption that would give engine manufacturers more time to develop the appropriate SCR systems for this size and class of yacht.

But without enough international support for an extension of the exemption, the mandate went into effect. The U.S. Coast Guard, understanding that suitable engine and SCR technology was unavailable, announced in early 2021 a three-year suspension of the regulations in North America. “By that time, our design and engineering department was well underway with the development of the 90,” says President and CEO Pat Healey. “We were not going to be forced into installing SCR. With the new 90, we invested $20 million to develop a new flagship sportfishing yacht that does not require SCR. It was a costly decision but one that had to be made because it’s the best product for our owners.”

Adapt and Innovate

Viking focused on speed, performance and aesthetics. “To further understand the evolution of the 90 you have to go back to what we’ve done with the Viking 80 in our demo program,” says Pat.

Viking has put tremendous time, resources, engineering and effort into improving the performance of the 80. “Everything from lightweight interior woods to advanced propulsion systems have been developed in anticipation of the 90 – to prove out theories, systems and procedures,” says Pat. “With our last three 80 demos, we’ve gone from a 40.5-knot boat to a 43.5-knot boat, picking up three knots over the course of three different 80s. We’ve been able to make these tremendous strides because we have the best team in the business. The development of the 80 and the 90 are excellent examples of how we can rise to the occasion to adapt and innovate.”

Viking took what it learned from the 92 – and other recent new models – and applied that knowledge into the development of the 90.

“We built 21 of them, and through that process we had quite a few owners, captains and mates give us a lot of feedback,” adds Pat. “We took all that feedback and put it into the 90 to make it one incredible design – and that’s why we’re very excited to show everyone this boat. It’s going to be something special.”

The new flagship utilizes the latest lifting-strake design, a refined driveline and prop pockets along with the advanced propulsion systems. Performance was also optimized through Computational Fluid Dynamics, software that allowed the team to analyze pressure distribution, study trim angle and trim tab effectiveness, and modify strakes and chines to increase running efficiency.

The 90 holds 3,801 gallons of fuel (standard) in four tanks. She’s equipped with the latest technology from stem to stern, “but we also focused on making these systems easier to operate and service,” says Pat.

Viking has taken all the advantages, refinements and improvements in materials and methods we’ve made in previous models and applied them to our new 90, everything from the use of lighter interior materials to the increased use of carbon fiber and Light Resin Transfer Molding.

The 90 also features a streamlined build process for the enclosed bridge and open bridge, saving on weight and improving building efficiency while lowering the overall profile for a sleek visual appeal. To that end, two large insert dams were created, one that gives the deck of the enclosed bridge a flat walking surface and the other that incorporates crown (needed for drainage) in the open bridge. Other notable developments include a one-piece wraparound enclosed bridge windshield that enhances visibility.

Cockpit/Mezzanine

The cockpit measures 224 square feet, with a 203-gallon transom fishbox/live well and a pair of full-length 103-gallon insulated in-deck fishboxes (with refrigeration optional). A single hatch on centerline (with optional electric actuation) provides access to the Seakeeper 35, a watertight design introduced with recent Viking 80 demonstrator boats. The cockpit sole is built with reinforcement for a fighting chair, rocket launcher or table.

There are three aft-facing seating areas between the lower and upper mezzanines. “What we learned from the 92 was that the majority of our owners wanted to be seated so they could look aft – that’s where all the action is on a Viking sportfishing boat,” says Viking Design Manager David Wilson. The cockpit and dual mezzanine bring a slew of features for comfort, visibility and fishability. The business end, which boasts the same fore/aft length of the 92’s cockpit, is also equipped with port and starboard storage lockers under the gunwales for gaffs and other accessories.

The lower observation mezzanine’s centerline lounge seat (with optional air conditioning in the backrest) has excellent visibility aft and direct access to the cockpit. This seating module also holds tackle cabinets on each side. A series of lower mezzanine insulated boxes provide freezer and refrigeration storage. On centerline, you have an engineroom access gate and lid. Outboard, you’ll find storage and cooler boxes in the lower mezzanine steps. Staircases on each side lead to the upper mezzanine. Outboard handrails – each with a pair of welded-on rod holders – help provide safe passage to the area, which is covered by the deckhouse overhang.

The upper mezzanine’s port side is home to an L-shaped aft-facing lounge with standard seat-back air conditioning and a teak table. On the starboard side, there’s a versatile cooking and refreshment hub (with an additional aft-facing seat) that can be personalized to the owner’s liking with a grill and icemaker or refrigerator. The bench seat holds a pull-out drawer for footwear or other types of storage. The armrests in the upper mezzanine seats have integrated storage compartments with friction-hinge lids, and an optional fold-down 43-inch HD TV can be integrated into the aft overhang on centerline. A custom aluminum rail on the mezzanine backrest holds a row of welded-on rod holders, providing a sturdy grabrail for the area without interfering with the view aft.

Salon and Galley

The goal with the 90 was to provide the same high levels of style, luxury, living conveniences and accommodations as the 92 – as well as the same number of staterooms (six) and heads (seven). “Another priority was to continue what we were doing with the 92 and all of our boats – incorporating lighter interior components and finding ways to take weight out of existing materials,” says Interior Design Manager Steve Walker.

An electric-powered sliding door just off centerline to starboard leads to the salon, where you’ll immediately notice a massive U-shaped lounge on the portside that has ample space for several weary anglers to stretch out and sleep. This kind of lounge space in the salon was a must-have given the mission and purpose of this boat as a long-distance sportfishing yacht. The lounge area, which also features a walnut hi-lo cocktail table, faces a starboard-side home theater center with surround sound and a pop-up 65-inch HD TV, along with a wet bar with sink and ice maker.

The 90 features horizontal grain natural walnut interior, which brings a contemporary aesthetic appeal while also accentuating depth of space throughout the boat.

Interior doors featuring both horizontal and vertical grains as well as ebony inlays add to the visual appeal.

Forward on the starboard side is a large wrap-around galley with refrigeration and freezers, engineered stone countertops and five bar stools with an overhang. All the amenities, conveniences and appliances – including two Sub-Zero refrigerators and a freezer unit, a dishwasher, an electric range with four-burner cook top, garbage disposal, trash compactor and ample storage space – are provided in the galley. Across from the dinette is a very large, raised dinette with U-shaped seating and a walnut table. The elevated platform allows for excellent views outside while also providing a rod locker with pull-out drawer below.

Accommodations

“The 92, even with all its staterooms and heads and open areas, was still a very voluminous boat with ample space throughout the yacht,” adds David. “So we knew we had the ability to scale down areas and yet still bring people all the great accommodation characteristics of the 92. We did it through careful planning, teamwork and a commitment to our owners.”

Steve and his group analyzed all living spaces inch by inch, carefully refining the placement of interior furniture – end tables, credenzas and closets – and streamlining the layout. “It was a challenge, no doubt,” says Steve. “But we pushed through and came away with a beautiful, highly functional interior.” Not only did Steve’s team, deliver six staterooms and seven heads, they were able maintain the size of the beds and the entryways to the staterooms and the heads as well as an enclosed laundry center with full-size stackable washer and dryer. “The end result is a functional free-flowing spacious layout that promotes comfortable movement throughout the yacht,” adds Steve.

The 90 features a full-beam master stateroom, a his and hers head with shared shower, a king-size bed, a large maple-lined walk-in closet, a credenza below a 65-inch HDTV, a vanity/desk area with swing-out stool on the starboard side, a port-side lounge seat and port and starboard credenzas with drawer storage. “You have five guest staterooms, each with its own private head and shower, crew quarters with immediate access to the engineroom, a pantry with an additional crew athwartship berth and a day head.”

Enclosed Bridge

On the Enclosed Bridge (EB) and Sky Bridge (SB) models, an aluminum ladder leads from the lower mezzanine to the enclosed bridge’s aft deck, which features a two-person seat near centerline (with standard air conditioning in the backrest) and a starboard-side aft control station – with full engine controls, radio box forward of the helm pod and a recessed area for multi-function electronics displays (MFDs). A sliding door leads to the enclosed bridge salon and its forward control station. The enclosed bridge is also accessible via a staircase inside the salon.

Inside the EB, a second salon awaits, boasting walnut cabinetry and furniture, premium carpeting and air conditioning and heating. The salon is highlighted by a port-side L-shaped lounge accompanied by a walnut hi-lo cocktail table; there’s also a Sub-Zero refrigerator forward of the lounge. The starboard side is the perfect place for the 43-inch pop-up HD TV; storage areas are provided under the lounge, aft of the starboard companion seat, and there’s also storage under both companion seats.

Forward, two Stidd double companion chairs side the centerline Stidd helm chair. The control station features a newly styled raised black wraparound electronics pod (with integrated visor). “This is the first Viking to have an electronics pod designed specifically for five MFDs,” says David. “We’ve also incorporated a series of vents in the forward section of the console. Plus, ergonomic refinements throughout make for an easy user experience.” The lower portion of the console is dedicated to recessed areas outboard of the steering wheel that hold a variety of instruments and controls.

Sky Bridge

Hull No. 1 is a Kingston Grey Sky Bridge model. The sky bridge helm and companion chair (with teak ladder backs) are positioned on a raised platform, maximizing visibility. The console is positioned on the starboard side, with a raised electronics pod housing three MFDs. The sky bridge helm pod is flanked by port and starboard radio boxes. Forward of the console, guests can relax in an L-shaped lounge (with storage underneath); a forward fiberglass module holds a sink to port and an undermount drink box to starboard.

Open Bridge

The open bridge’s center console (with forward lounge and storage underneath) anchors this spacious area. Aft of the console, which holds four MFDs in a recessed black acrylic panel, there are three helm chairs with teak ladder backs. They sit on a raised platform, again for optimal visibility. Immediately to starboard of the helm – for easy accessibility – is a refrigerated drink box. To port, there’s a convenient storage box. And forward, lounges to port and starboard feature wraparound backrests with integrated storage. A large freezer on centerline forward of the lounge rounds out the amenities on the flybridge.

Caterpillar C32A diesels packing 1925MHP are standard. CAT C32B 2400: 2433MHP engines are also available. The optional twin 2635MHP MTU 16V 2000 M96Ls power hull No. 1, which hits a top speed of 38-plus knots and cruises at 32-33 knots with a range of nearly 600 nautical miles.

Bottom Line: With a dozen spoken for, the Viking 90 will soon become the new showpiece of innovation and ingenuity for the large world-traveling sportfishing yacht. Hull No. 1 – a Kingston Grey Sky Bridge model – will debut at the Viking Yachts and Valhalla Boatworks VIP Boat Show February 3-4, followed by the Miami International Boat Show February 15-19.

Engineroom and Performance

The engineroom is painted in a bright Snow White Awlgrip for increased visibility and ease of maintenance. There’s more than 7 feet of headroom and plenty of space to access all sides of the 16-cylinder powerplants and numerous systems and components, including the Furuno omnidirectional sonar tube, Optimus steering system, Octoplex digital switching system and Spot Zero water maker and purifier system. The Centralized Seawater System has been redesigned to reduce complexity, incorporating the standard ElectroSea CLEARLINE System to increase reliability and component longevity throughout the boat. The 90’s mechanical features also include composite seacocks, eliminating corrosion, increasing longevity and decreasing weight. The standard 40 kW generators are aft of the engines for center of gravity purposes, and their location also provides outstanding accessibility.

Best Midsize Cruiser 40-44 Feet

  • By Herb McCormick
  • Updated: December 12, 2017

Elan gt5

Winner: Elan GT5

This is going to be a tough category,” said Bill Bolin of the Best Midsize Cruiser 40 to 44 Feet division. “We have three very different but very good boats in this class — the Elan GT5, the Hallberg-Rassy 412 and the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440.”

To begin, Bolin said of the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 440, “It’s the best Jeanneau I’ve ever seen.” The judging panel agreed, crowning the boat the fleet’s Most Innovative design for 2018.

And what, exactly, led to that designation? “One big reason is the side decks,” said Tim Murphy. “One of the design features is wide-open side decks all the way aft” that permit easy egress going forward without the need to scramble over cockpit coamings. “It’s a clean path ahead,” he noted. Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, it’s something we expect to see on more boats, including a scaled-up Jeanneau 490, in the very near future.

“You go down below and, maybe for the first time, Jeanneau has separated the mast compression post from the main bulkhead,” he added. “Now there’s just a compression post that runs down into the main saloon, and the main bulkhead that would’ve come to that position is now several feet forward. So they’ve opened up more space in the main cabin and taken it away from the forward cabin, where they’re arguing you don’t need it quite as much. I think that’s also a fine change. It has twin rudders, and under sail, I thought the helm was beautiful. It’s a solid boat.”

jeanneau sun odyssey 440

So, too, thought Bolin, was the Hallberg-Rassy 412. “This is the largest aft-cockpit model Hallberg-Rassy has built,” he said. “There is a 40-foot center-cockpit model, but this is a different hull entirely, optimized for upwind performance, with a code zero sail for downwind work. There’s a retractable bow thruster — we saw a lot of those this year — to reduce drag and get the thruster deeper in the water and farther forward as well. The boat we inspected had upgraded sails, and when we went sailing, they were spectacular. There was a beautiful full-battened sail and the boat sailed very well.

“It had a slippery hull and moved nicely,” he added. “We sailed it in 12 to 14 knots of breeze, so there was decent wind. Most of the time we were making 6.5 to 7 knots. As we fell off on a beam and then a broad reach, I think this was the first boat where we didn’t see a drastic drop in speed. It performed well on all points of sail. It had a nice big wheel and great visibility forward. It would be an easy boat to singlehand. I really like it.”

“This is a mainsail-driven boat, and I think that might explain why it’s so peppy off the wind,” said Murphy. “So the sail plan is a small jib with a big main. They’re one of the few remaining builders that are giving us a true traveler but also genoa sheet-lead controls from the cockpit, showing that they’re concerned about sail shape, and rightly so. Going down below, it’s the classic Hallberg-Rassy mahogany interior, and it’s just lovely, as lovely as it ever was. We’ve talked about good handholds, but on this boat, they weren’t just good, they were also beautiful. The fiddles are these beautiful rounded shapes that are perfect for your hand. They look great and feel great. Very nice.”

That left the Slovenian-built, 43-foot-4-inch Elan GT5. The company builds dedicated lines of racing and cruising boats, but, said Murphy, “The GT5 is sort of a hybrid between those two lines. It has a high-performance hull and a very comfortable cruising interior.

Hallberg-Rassy 412

“Sailing it was pretty joyful,” he continued. “We sailed in very light air and it was still moving very nicely. It looked really good on the water. It really seemed to have answered the performance side of Elan’s DNA.”

“The company is doing some progressive things in terms of systems,” said Ed Sherman. “The electrical system on the boat has a nice, graphically designed power distribution panel with push buttons that light up things to let you know, for instance, that the running lights are on and that sort of thing.”

“I was really taken with this boat,” said Bolin. “It looks like a race boat from a distance, and as Tim mentioned, its DNA is rooted in that. But you go below and it’s very unique, with lots of special features. I like the galley-forward arrangement a lot. You come down into the main cabin and you’ve got max beam where the living quarters are, you have a great sense of entry. Figuratively speaking, you’re not walking through the back door and the kitchen to get into the house. I think this layout makes very good use of space. And there’s lots of storage. Finally, I’d say it’s a high-tech boat, vacuum-bagged with 100 percent vinylester. There’s a lot to like about it.”

At the end of the day, Bolin’s colleagues agreed, which is why they chose the Elan GT5 as the Best Midsize Cruiser 40 to 44 Feet.

History of Hatteras Yachts

Almost 60 years ago, Hatteras Yachts founder Willis Slane set out to build a more durable sportfishing boat that could tame the waters off of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. What he didn’t know at the time is that his idea would spark a legendary yacht brand that would become synonymous with the world of offshore sportfishing, particularly among die-hard Billfish tournament captains.   The waters off of Cape Hatteras are influenced by the Gulf Stream and while this does bring with it a variety of popular gamefish like Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, and Tuna, it also can turn into a rough ride when wind and waves pick up. Slane’s first 40-foot fiberglass yacht, the Knit Wits, revolutionized the industry as we know it today with its strength and remarkable attention to detail. Hatteras Yachts are known for over-engineering every detail on their yachts, taking a que from the brand’s originator Willis Slane, which has resulted in a line of sportfishing yachts and luxury motor yachts, known for their innovation and quality craftsmanship.

It’s that innovation that has kept Hatteras building boats every day through the highs and lows of the economy, which gives our yacht owners the peace of mind that the team at Hatteras will continue to support them with warranty, service, re-sale value, and exciting new product to further their boating experience beyond all expectations. From hull design to propulsion choices to interactive on-board connectivity, this commitment to innovation is what secures the lasting legacy of Hatteras Yachts.

Brunswick sold Hatteras Yachts in 2013 to Versa Capital Management, LLC, an investment firm with a large portfolio of companies that includes Black Angus Steakhouses, Silver Airways, Polartec, and a variety of other companies in multiple industries. As part of this sale, Versa also retained the rights to Cabo Yachts as well. Today, both brands are thriving as Hatteras continues to debut new models like the GT59 and the GT65 Carolina , which are back on the tournament circuit and winning awards. The Hatteras factory also debuted the new Cabo 41 Express at recent boat shows.

Where Are Hatteras Boats And Yachts Made?

The Hatteras factory is located in New Bern, North Carolina at 110 N Glenburie Road, which is located in between Wilmington, NC and Virginia Beach, VA. The factory sits on the Neuse River which is only a few minutes drive by boat to the Atlantic Ocean. The environment in the Atlantic Ocean can be rough at times which influenced the Hatteras "Carolina-Flare" hull design as well as the need to use a solid fiberglass resin-infused hull for extra strength and stiffness. Today, the Hatteras factory is thriving and employs hundreds of craftsmen and workers, contributing to the local economy.

United's Relationship With Hatteras

Whether you are charging 4-foot seas to the canyons or comfortably cruising the coast to Florida for the winter, it’s the behind-the-scenes details that make a Hatteras special. The patented air induction system reduces noise and vibration by over 200% while the resin-infusion process during the construction process provides for stronger and lighter decks, bulkheads, and other parts of the yacht. Even the in-house designed multi-bladed hybrid propellers offer advantages including improved fuel economy and a quieter ride. These details can only truly be appreciated by a trip to the Hatteras factory in New Bern, North Carolina.

United Yacht Sales – New Jersey Division – is proud to be the exclusive dealer for Hatteras Sportfish and Motor Yachts in the Cape May area.   Not only can our expert staff guide you through the new boat build and purchase process, but our industry-leading brokerage team can help with the re-sale of your used Hatteras Yacht. Scott White is the Hatteras and Cabo brand manager for United and recently sold hull #3 of the new GT59. If you're considering purchasing a new Hatteras or Cabo, give Scott a call today at (609) 780-0309. We have plenty of resources to help you through the process of buying a new Hatteras Yacht .

Who is the CEO of Hatteras Yachts?

In January 2017, Kelly Grindle took over as Chief Executive Officer of Hatteras Yachts and Cabo Yachts. Grindle's experience prior to Hatteras includes President of Outdoor Products at Vista Outdoor in Overland Park, Kansas. Vista Outdoor is a $2.3 billion designer, manufacturer, and marketer of consumer products in the outdoor sports and recreation market. Grindle received a degree in Finance from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business. Chairman of Hatteras and the CEO of Versa Capital Management had this to say about Kelly Grindle coming to Hatteras, "We are pleased to have recruited a senior executive with the industry knowledge and experience to lead Hatteras Yachts through its next phase of growth. Kelly Grindle is an acknowledged leader in the outdoor sports and recreational marine industries, and will have a positive impact on our ability to deliver the best quality yachts to Hatteras customers today, and to continue the company's long tradition of pioneering innovative design and technology in the future."

The new M90 Panacera Motor Yacht

Hatteras recently launched the new M90 Panacera in 2017 to rave reviews from brand enthusiasts, magazine editors, and other motor yacht owners. Hatteras CEO Kelley Grindle gushed over the “outstanding panoramic views as well as the ease of flow between social spaces.” If the new M90 was built for anything, it was for entertaining family or friends comfortably at sea. The main deck floorplan is completely unobstructed with lots of natural light giving you an openness that is unmatched in its class. The Flybridge is wide-open and allows plenty of room for sunbathing, grilling, and enjoying your company. The 22-foot 6-inch beam creates a broad sense of space and open areas, particularly in the salon and master stateroom which is full beam that has a king-size berth. The M90 has three other staterooms, each with en suite heads, along with crew quarters access via the transom that also has separate crew heads and galley.

M60 Motor Yacht

While the Hatteras M60 may be the smallest of the motor yacht series, the Hatteras team has done an exceptional job utilizing the 18' 2" beam and the space it creates. Small enough to be operated without a captain and crew, the M60 is a great option for the experienced motor yacht owner who wants an interior known to be one of the largest in its class. The full beam master suite is comfortable and features enough storage and hanging closet space for the M60 to be a true long distance cruising yacht should the opportunity arise. From the aft cockpit seating area to the country-style kitchen, the Hatteras M60 is a perfect yacht for entertaining no matter what the season.

Featured Hatteras Sportfishing Yacht Models

Hatteras GT70 Convertible

With the Hatteras Yachts brand being synonymous with durable, tournament-tested sportfishing yachts, it’s no surprise that the builder’s flagship boat is a 70-foot convertible. The 68GT, the previous flagship model, was built and delivered 51 times before the new GT70 was born. Everything about this vessel screams multi-day fishing excursion to the Canyons. From the oversized fighting cockpit to the larger engines with added fuel capacity of 2,140 gallons to the 5-stateroom layout, the GT70 has everything you need in a convertible sportfish to hunt big game. Despite her big 21-foot 4-inch beam, the Hatteras GT70 can easily break the 40-knot barrier when powered with the twin MTU 2600-HP diesel engines.   And with a gourmet galley and spacious salon, your guests on board that aren’t strapped into the fighting chair or behind the helm can relax inside without being tossed around. The Hatteras GT70 is truly a prime example of the legendary quality and performance that the Hatteras factory is known to produce.

Hatteras GT59 Convertible

With speeds breaking the 40-knot threshold and every feature designed for the passionate angler, the new Hatteras GT59 is already making waves on the Billfish tournament circuit. Twin CAT C-32A 1600HP diesel engines are the standard power choice and with the patented Hatteras hull design and construction, she performs outstandingly well. Owners enjoy the popular 3-stateroom, 2-head layout that allows an owner to enjoy cruising with his family or taking the team offshore for several days to hunt big game.

Featured Hatteras/Cabo Express Boat Models

Hatteras GT45x Flybridge

When Hatteras Yachts absorbed the iconic Cabo Yachts brand, it was only a matter of time before the models would begin to integrate the best of both brands into a new style of sportfish. Hatteras did not disappoint the market by launching three versions of its GT45X including an express cruiser, an express sportfish version with flybridge, and a Sport Tower option as well. All models come standard with the popular twin Cat C-12A Diesel engines and either a one or two stateroom layout.   TheGT45x Flybridge version has top speeds in the mid-40’s and comes entirely rigged for any tournament featuring a state-of-the-art helm station with a full tower and plenty of easily accessible storage for tackle. You can even enjoy cooking your catch within minutes of it being in the water with the electric grill built in to the starboard bait and tackle center.   If you’re looking for a durable sportfish in the Cape May area, there is no better option than a new Hatteras GT45x with the expert guidance of United Yacht Sales.

Cabo Yachts 41 Express

The reception of the Cabo 41 Express has been more than welcoming after it made its debut at the recent Atlanta Boat Show and Miami International Boat Show. Anglers have been anticipating the return of the iconic Cabo brand for some time and several hulls of the 41 Express have already been sold. Standard power is twin Volvo D11 625HP engines and the fighting cockpit is loaded with fishing features like in-deck fish boxes and in-transom baitwell. The Cabo 41 even has mezzanine seating for guests who want to watch the action unfold.

What does Hatteras do differently with its hulls?

If a trip to the Hatteras factory is in your plans, make sure to ask to see the log test. Hatteras loves to show off how strong their full fiberglass hulls are and have developed a way to simulate potential damage to the hull of a Hatteras should it hit a log at 20 knots . While Hatteras Yachts may be heavier than their competition, they are also stronger and more durable. The hulls are built using the highest quality fiberglass possible combined with vinylester resin which has optimal strength, stiffness, and impact resistant qualities.

During the construction process, Hatteras also adds a coat of high-performance vinylester gelcoat to the entire hull that's below the waterline. This extra layer helps protect the hull against bottom blisters which is an extra step that many competitive boat builders simply don't take. Finally, the bottom of the hull gets an additional cost of epoxy resin as part of the anti-fouling system and for an added layer of protection.

Does Hatteras "vacuum-bag" their hulls like other yacht manufacturers?

The term vacuum-bagging is widely used in the marine industry with many builders vacuum-bagging the entire hull so it can be infused with varying qualities of resin. At Hatteras, there is a proprietary vinylester resin infusion technology that literally pulls the resin through the fiberglass instead of saturating it. The result is a hull that is lighter and stronger than if it had been fully bagged and infused.

Bob Arthur has been on the Hatteras team for over 40 years and has seen the entire evolution of the brand and all of its models.. His current title is Hatteras Manager of Structural and Composites Engineering. “We would rather do infusion and get the cleaner, clearer hull surface it produces than to use vacuum-bagging,” said Bob Arthur. “The infusion allows us to really dial in our resin-to-glass ratio for stiffness and strength. What a lot of people don’t know is that back in the ’80s, Hatteras actually helped to develop the very first vinylester gel coat for use in composite construction." It's team members like Bob who live and breathe the Hatteras product and their devotion to it, that makes it a very special boat.

Hatteras has never been one to shy away from trying something new. The Hatteras GT65 Carolina will utilize a new hull and tunnel design. The team utilized a high-tech CFD Analysis (CFD stands for Computational Fluid Dynamics) to make sure they got the hull shape perfect for maneuverability and performance. Additionally, Hatteras will infuse the stringer system to the hull to make one single, solid part. Not only will this reduce weight and increase the hull strength, but it will also be the first in the marine industry.

What is the Hatteras System called Hatt/Con?

Hatt/Con is what the Hatteras team is calling their new innovation in total ship management. Hatt/Con was instituted on Hatteras models to offer owners and captains an easier way to control the yacht's navigation and other operating systems on board right from an easy-to-read dashboard. The consolidation of all of these functions into the Hatt/Con system means that the helm station is no longer populated with multiple modules and inconsistent operating systems.

Hatt/Con allows the captain to operate systems on board such as lighting in various rooms, stream video, HVAC temperature regulation, and control all of the ships systems. Gauges for fuel tanks, fresh water, and grey/black water holding tanks are also featured. The Hatt/Con dashboard and ship management system can be downloaded right to your iPhone or iPad as an "app".

What kind of engines do Hatteras use in their yachts?

While Hatteras models on the brokerage market can vary depending on how far back you go, today's Hatteras Yachts are outfitted with Caterpillar marine engines. "CAT Marine Engines really do set the standard when it comes to performance and engine reliability," said Scott White, United Hatteras Brand Manager. "Caterpillar continues to innovate their products and the customer support that owners get is just incredible."

The Hatteras M90, for example, is equipped with twin CAT C-32A diesel engines. The C-32A are one of the most popular engine models that boat builders are using today. The M90 C-32A's are 1,622HP each pushing it to a top speed of 21 to 23 knots while cruising comfortably at 17 to 19 knots. The Hatteras M60 drops down to the C-18A 1,000HP engines, but owners can upgrade to the 1,136HP models.

On the Sportfish side where speed is everything, Hatteras chose to put the C-32A 1,622HP diesels in the new GT59. With that much power in a sub-60 foot boat, the GT59 can reach speeds in excess of 40 knots. The C-32A is also used in the flagship model of the GT-series, the GT70, except in the 1800HP versions. GT70 owners can cruise easily in the mid-30 knot range and top out above 40 knots.

What is the Hatteras boat called The Knit Wits?

The Knits Wits has become a bit of an icon for Hatteras Yachts and represents the very first Hatteras boat ever built. The 41-foot white and teal flybridge was fully restored at the Hatteras factory back in 2013 and has done several tours at major boat shows and events. The Knit Wits was originally launched in 1960 by Hatteras founder Willis Slane who was frustrated by the rough sea conditions. Slane then went on to hire Jack Hargrave to design the sportfish.

The success of The Knit Wits is often credited with shifting the industry from wood to fiberglass made boats as many boats at that time couldn't withstand the same conditions as the Knit Wits proved to do. The Knit Wits is now a piece of boating industry and Hatteras history as she spends her days in retirement on display at the Hatteras Yachts Sales Center in Fort Lauderdale.

What is the biggest yacht Hatteras makes?

The Hatteras 105 Raised Pilothouse Motor Yacht is currently the largest yacht that is offered in the Hatteras model line. The design for the Hatteras 105RPH was launched in May 2018 and was lauded as the largest resin-infused hull to date. This news came after the Hatteras 100 Motor Yacht was launched back in 2014. Perfect for entertaining large groups of people, there is a large great room that is located on the main deck of the yacht that is reminiscent of a ballroom. Owners even have the option to choose two distinctive layouts including either a luxurious master stateroom on the main deck or a very large galley if the purpose of the vessel is more for entertaining than long-distance cruising.

What's the best place to see a Hatteras Yacht?

Boat Shows are undoubtedly the best venue to climb on board and compare any of the Hatteras models. The three biggest boat shows for Hatteras and Cabo are the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in November, the Miami Yacht Show in February, and the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March. The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show is generally the largest of the three shows and where Hatteras brings their full line-up. Whether you are considering a motor yacht or a sportfish, Hatteras will have a mixture of both types of yachts at each of these boat shows. It is also a great opportunity to meet with factory representatives who can answer specific questions about each model. Engine manufacturers are also sometimes in attendance as well to answer engine-specific questions about performance and after-sale service.

Can a new Hatteras Yacht be deducted as a business expense?

While United Yacht Sales does not offer any financial or legal advice, there were changes to the tax laws that allow owners to deduct the full expense of their Hatteras Yacht. While there are several stipulations, the yacht you purchase must be used for a business such as yacht charter or fishing charters. Even new equipment such as electronics can be fully deducted as long as they are added to the yacht in the same year as it was purchased. This new law covers the purchase of both new and used yachts for sale . We recommend that you consult with your certified accountant or lawyer regarding the new tax laws and if your Hatteras or Cabo Yacht purchase could indeed be written off.

The Patrol Boat of Tomorrow Has Arrived. Introducing the Metal Shark 40 Defiant.

40 knot yacht

Metal Shark’s 40 Defiant is a revolutionary new monohull patrol boat platform designed to meet the military needs of tomorrow in a quickly changing world. Developed as the replacement for up to 160 patrol vessels deployed worldwide with the U.S. Navy’s Expeditionary Combat Command’s Coastal Riverine Forces, Metal Shark’s design was selected by the US Navy from a field of seven competing shipbuilders. Designed to address the vulnerabilities of traditional patrol boats while expanding the mission role of the platform over its predecessor, the 40 Defiant delivers substantial increases in capabilities and firepower. Shown here in US Navy 40 PB configuration, the 40 Defiant is available or acquisition by qualified operators and may be fully customized to meet a wide range of mission profiles. Read on, and learn more about the game-changing Metal Shark 40 Defiant.

Typical Specifications

Intimidating presence.

40 knot yacht

The 40 Defiant satisfies the visual-deterrent requirements of today’s naval forces with a futuristic design featuring a chiseled and menacing profile and unique faceted hull. Unlike other available welded-aluminum military patrol boat offerings, which are often hard to distinguish from a commercial work boat or even a private recreational vessel, the 40 Defiant is immediately identifiable as a no-nonsense military machine ready to respond with overwhelming force to any hostile threat. The 40 Defiant flaunts its capability and bristles with armament. As configured for the US Navy, the vessel features six MK 16 weapons foundations plus a large forward foundation for stabilized, remote operated, optically guided MK 49 / MK 50 weapons systems. Like all Metal Shark offerings, the 40 Defiant may be customized to suit operator requirements and may be configured to accommodate the complete range of available weapons systems.

Next-Level Capabilities

40 knot yacht

The 40 Defiant has been designed to carry a power projection capability far beyond that of a traditional force protection boat. The vessel therefore boasts a superlative array of capabilities. Available ballistic protection enables the vessel to sustain extended firefights, allowing crews to respond with overwhelming force to asymmetric threats such as swarm attacks while remaining secure and protected from hostile fire. The armored, climate-controlled pilothouse may be configured with a wide range of shock-mitigating seating options. The vessel delivers enhanced situational awareness and fleet connectivity through an advanced communications and sensor suite. These capabilities allow operators to expand the the mission profile of their patrol boats, allowing them to operate in permissive environments during asset protection and port security missions, and also to make forays into hostile environments.

Mission-Optimized Performance

40 knot yacht

The 40 Defiant employs a mission-optimized hull form designed to achieve 40-knot sprint speeds while displaying superb dynamic stability across the full range of operating environments. The vessel also exhibits enhanced handling and delivers greatly reduced operating cost at the 10-15 knot escort speeds typical of force protection missions. As configured for the Navy, the 40 Defiant is powered by twin Cummins QSB 6.7 diesel inboards, coupled via Twin Disc MG5065SC marine transmissions to Hamilton HTX30 water jets developed specifically for the Navy 40 PB program. Metal Shark offers the 40 Defiant with a wide range of propulsion choices to suit various mission profiles.

Tested, Proven, and Trusted

40 knot yacht

The 40 Defiant has been designed to meet the evolving requirements of modern military engagement and is the result of an unprecedented investment in testing and development. Setting a new standard for military patrol boats, this futuristic military vessel delivers unmatched lethality, next-generation situational awareness, and greatly improved safety for our fighting forces, in a thoroughly tested platform now being made available for other customers in other markets, in a range of styles and sizes. Like each model in Metal Shark’s ever-growing portfolio, the 40 Defiant may be custom configured to meet a wide range of unique mission profiles.

Kasif explorer yacht for sale with Fraser at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024

The 40m explorer with under 500 operational hours for sale at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024

With the Cannes Yachting Festival now just around the corner, the industry is gearing up to view some of the finest sub-500GT yachts currently on the market. Among the standout explorers is the 41.8-metre full displacement yacht Kasif , currently listed for sale with Jan Jaap Minnema and Josh Gulbranson of Fraser .

"It’s rare to find a like-new yacht ready for immediate delivery with under 500 operational hours," notes Minnema, and Kasif fits the bill perfectly. Built by Bilgin Yachts in 2023 with a steel hull, Kasif is poised to wow prospective buyers at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 with her pristine condition and impressive features.

A highly personalised design

Two award-winning studios created Kasif 's modern explorer yacht design. The naval architecture and exterior styling are the work of Unique Yacht Design , while the interior was designed by Hot Lab in close collaboration with Bilgin's repeat new-build client. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create a personalised onboard experience.

Designed for ultimate comfort at sea, Kasif offers accommodation for up to 10 guests across five staterooms, alongside quarters for a crew of six. The main deck is highlighted by an oversized master stateroom, which spans 36 square metres. Below deck, a VIP stateroom stretches the full 8.4-metre beam, which is complemented by two doubles and a twin.

With a total volume of 381GT, Kasif offers 276.5 square metres of exterior space, which is "extraordinary" for a yacht of 42 metres, according to Gulbranson. An extra-long swim platform and a full-service beach club, covering 20 square metres, provide easy access to the water for swimming or enjoying the yacht’s array of water toys. The large exterior bridge deck aft and the spacious foredeck on the bow offer ideal spots for relaxation and dining. The 38.5-square-metre sundeck is designed with entertainment in mind, featuring additional seating and a well-equipped bar.

A go-anywhere explorer yacht

Kasif embodies the true spirit of an explorer – a capable world-cruising yacht combining comfort with reliable transoceanic capabilities. A standout feature is her ability to accommodate an Axopar tender of up to 8.5 metres in length or a small helicopter on deck. The large crane allows for easy launching and retrieving, offering ample opportunity for exploration, whether it’s discovering secluded coves by tender or embarking on heli-skiing adventures in mountainous regions.
