  1. SCAMP Sailboat Argo Anchor

    There are myriad aspects to anchoring, from bottom structure, to wave amplitude and frequency and length, to scope of the rode, to type of anchor , to weight of anchor, to windage of boat, and so on. Different anchors are required for having lunch or fishing, versus requiring your anchor to hold you in a bit of a blow.

  2. Bow Chocks and Ancoring

    Trim sail, begin to sail away and sort anchor once underway. All this holds true for motoring, just easier, perhaps. If by chance (in a strong wind) your anchor line comes out of an open bow chock you will be drawing your boat sideways into the wind to pull up the anchor.

There is also an hydronic loop that runs under her sole and to a Reddot type blower in the hanging locker. of the two we prefer the hydronic loop from the engine but at anchor the propane heater is adequate.
