Quattro persone, un "colpo grosso" e crimini informatici per 14 milioni di dollari. Due mandati di arresto europei e una vacanza da sogno in Italia tra ville e yacht di lusso, jet privati e ristoranti raffinati, in Sardegna, Isola d'Elba e poi Costiera Amalfitana . E alla fine, proprio qui, l'arresto in una villa di lusso a picco sul mare a Furore . Sembra la trama di un film di Lupin , il celebre ladro dei cartoni anni 80, ma è la storia della "Banda del Bitcoin ", composta da quattro persone ricercate a livello internazionale che questa mattina sono state assicurate alla giustizia da un'operazione della polizia postale italiana. Banda del Bitcoin, chi sono?Si tratta di 4 persone, due uomini (uno di nazionalità saudita e uno di nazionalità ucraina) e due donne (una libanese e una russa) noti come "la banda del Bitcoin". I quattro sarebbero responsabili di crimini informatici che avrebbero fruttato ben 14 milioni di dollari. Sui due uomini pendeva un mandato di aresto europeo nell'ambito dell'indagine condotta dalla polizia francese e sono stati arrestati dagli agenti della Polizia postale, su richiesta della Procura di Roma. Le due donne risultano indagate in stato di libertà. Gli inquirenti hanno dato esecuzione anche a quattro decreti di perquisizione in un procedimento in cui si contesta anche il reato di riciclaggio. Crimini informatici per 14 milioni di dollariL'attività eseguita sul territorio italiano è stata il frutto di una cooperazione internazionale richiesta all'esito di una indagine avviata dai magistrati parigini circa due mesi fa. Secondo quanto ricostruito, l'organizzazione criminale ha sottratto criptovalute per un valore a sei zeri attraverso un attacco informatico sferrato ai danni di un exchange con sede nelle isole Cayman . La cifra sottratta è stata poi convertita in tether Usdt, una criptovaluta «stabile» perché ancorata al valore del dollaro . Nulla, dunque, era lasciato al caso anche se la vita sfarzosa portata avanti dall'organizzazione ha lasciato sul terreno indizi grazie ai quali gli inquirenti francesi sono riusciti a localizzare gli indagati sul territorio italiano. La vacanza da sogno in Italia tra ville, jet privati e yachtMentre sfuggivano alla giustizia i quattro si sono concessi una vacanza di lusso in Italia, spostandosi tra Sardegna, Isola d'Elba e Costiera Amalfitana con l'utilizzo di auto a noleggio e jet privati. Una vita sfarzosa, tra ristoranti raffinati, barche di lusso e ville spettacolari. Come quella in cui oggi sono stati raggiunti dalla Polizia Postale italiana, a picco sul mare nel fiordo di Furore (Salerno). L'arresto nella villa a FuroreI due destinatari dei mandati di arresto sono stati trasferiti nel carcere di Salerno in attesa dell'udienza per l'estradizione, mentre le due donne che erano con loro sono attualmente indagate in stato di libertà. All'esito delle attività sono stati sequestrati, con successiva convalida da parte dalla Procura della Repubblica di Salerno, codici e chiavi private di accesso a portafogli virtuali di criptovalute, chiavette ledger, nonché diversi dispositivi informatici.
