Yacht arrangement

The particularly spectacular staircase from Lower deck to the bridge deck with the 3D custom made piece of art of full metal effect emphasizes the light to the main central entrance. The owner’s suite is located on the upper deck with totally different decorative schemes. The suite gives a sense of panoramic sea view, with the king-size bed, a walking closet and a luxury jacuzzi.

Further a full width to ship VIP suite is set on the main deck with a king-size bed and his and hers dressing room and marble bath with mosaic details. Main deck salon with decorative walls composed of a background panel in mother of pearl resin with handmade decoration in bronzed liquid metal finishing and the breathtaking chandelier represent without question the luxurious bespoke experience.

The Captain

The Greek Captain Alexandros Skaris has been in the charter business for almost 20 years, with many of his guests being repeat visitors to his yachts. Speaking of his role as captain, it is clear that he has a true passion for delivering the ultimate ocean experience. “The challenge in my role is to offer memories that extend beyond the yacht and the destination,” he says. “To build a connection with the guests and be part of their memories."

The Experience

O’Pari is a yacht that offers a little something for everyone. Her ample space and superb contemporary decoration give an immediate feeling of calm and luxury. Exotic marble walls contrast with sleek wooden floors, allowing guests to breathe a sigh of relief when they step on board.

The upper deck plays host to an impressive owner’s suite complete with its own salon. In total, O’Pari offers 14 guest cabins, including a master, one VIP, six  doubles, four twins with pullman and one single/hospital cabin, all with ensuite bathrooms.

A full gym and spa including a massage room, a Turkish hammam and a Finnish sauna are sure to delight those seeking ultimate relaxation. For others in the mood for more of a party, the open plan sun deck offers a full bar, a DJ booth and plenty of space to dance the night away while taking in the panoramic views. A touch and go helipad on the upper deck adds the final touch of prestige to this incredible vessel.

The Cuisine

The talented Chef Takis Papayiannis brings the best of Mediterranean cooking to every dish he creates. Born and raised in Greece, he trained in his home country before honing his skills at some of the best 5 star restaurants across Europe. Working alongside Assistant Chef Steliyan Dimitrov, the dining experience on board O’Pari is therefore nothing short of perfect.

A key feature of Chef Papayiannis’ menus is fresh seafood. Popular dishes might include freshly caught lobster baked with hollandaise sauce served with sweet potatoes and green apple, or healthy salads packed with flavour, such as scallop, tuna, tomato and fresh herbs finished with a zingy lime dressing. Whatever the mood, Chef Papagiannis always rises to the occasion whether he’s catering laid-back brunches with classic favourites or formal dining and celebratory feasts.

Disembark from the tender onto the lower deck swim platform, which has plenty of room for sunbathing beside the water as an extension of the beach club or for spreading out with the water toys. Two stairways lead up to the main deck aft, where a C-shaped sofa lines the stern and two tables create a casual place for the group to dine, drink or spend time on hobbies and conversation in the sunshine.

The upper deck is the main alfresco dining area and provides an elegant setting off the skylounge where up to 16 guests can enjoy a meal at the circular table placed in the shade before savouring drinks at the three sofas along the stern. The foredeck can be accessed via side walkways from the main deck and here a helipad and a flush foredeck create a large space for sunbathing or outdoor exercise such as yoga.

The bridge deck boasts an aft swimming pool/Jacuzzi surrounded on three sides by sunbeds, and an armchair is placed to port and starboard beneath the shade of the overhang.

The sundeck is ready to host a part day or night and provides a fantastic sunbathing area forwards where sunbeds surround a raised Jacuzzi. Under the shade of the hardtop a wet bar is placed forward to port, while a circular alfresco dining table to seat 16 is placed amidships. The sun-drenched aft section has a casual lounge consisting of two sofas and loose chairs around a drinks table, and two broad sunbeds are placed along the stern.

The interiors from Studio Vafiadis use a pale colour scheme and a variety of textures using natural materials to create a beach club-like feel that emphasises the abundance of natural light.

On the lower deck the crew accommodation, mess, galley and facilities are placed forward with the tender garage and water toys storage amidships and the engine room behind. The beach club to the aft comes furnished with a central lounging space, around which there is a massage room, sauna, steam room, a changing room and a bathroom.

The main deck features a sizeable VIP stateroom forward followed by several other of the the guest cabins. The amidships area contains the galley and main foyer, both of which lead into the open-plan main salon to the aft. Here, an elongated table to seat 16 is placed forward and guests can savour a meal together in brightly lit surroundings filled with artwork. The main salon to the aft consists of three plush sofas surrounding a large coffee table and four armchairs around a drinks table.

The Master suite is placed forward on the upper deck and enjoys 180 degree views out across the bow. The rest of the guest accommodation is placed on this deck and consists of VIP and double staterooms as well as a study amidships to starboard. The lobby and crew spaces are behind the guest accommodation, and an atmospheric skylounge is placed in the aft. Desirable as a relaxing social space day or night, the skylounge has a bar in the forward port corner and a central lounge of two sofas and four armchairs around a square coffee table where guests can converse or watch a film together on the widescreen TV mounted on the forward wall. Both sides of the room have a pair of chairs and a drinks table beside the windows for quiet conversation while watching the world go by.

The bridge deck has a spacious wheelhouse with additional seating for guests to watch the action, and behind is the Captain's cabin to port and the ship office and emergency generator to starboard. A lobby amidships leads to the aft gym, which comes with a range of exercise equipment for guests to maintain their routines. Glass sliding doors open out onto the bridge deck aft for a more alfresco experience while granting direct access to the swimming pool and sunbeds.

Twin CAT 3516C-HD engines producing 2525 kW each produce a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots.

The accommodation sleeps a maximum of 12 guests across 14 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite, 2 VIP staterooms, 6 double cabins, 4 twin cabins with a Pullman berth and 1 single cabin. ~ The Master suite is situated on the upper deck forward and contains a king-sized bed against the wall, a pop-up TV in the cabinetry at the end of the bed, a seating area to port and a daybed to starboard. The en-suite bathroom is to port behind the bedroom and contains two sinks, an enclosed toilet and bidet, a shower and a bathtub. A sizeable dressing room is placed to port, with a guest lobby that can also be used as an office. ~ Two double cabins are placed to port and a VIP cabin to starboard on the upper deck. The VIP stateroom comes furnished with a queen-sized bed, a pop-up TV, an armchair and side table beside the window, and a walk-though wardrobe that leads to the marble en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has two sinks, a toilet, bidet and a shower. ~ The double cabins both have double beds and a pop-up TV, large wardrobes and an e-suite bathroom with two sinks, a toilet, bidet and a shower. ~ On the main deck, there is a spacious forward VIP stateroom that could be considered a second Master suite. Within, there is a king-sized bed on the forward wall with a widescreen TV mounted on the wall opposite, a chaise-lounger beneath the port windows and to starboard a pair of armchairs with a drinks table in the middle. A walk-in wardrobe is placed forward to port while the starboard side contains a marble-finished en-suite bathroom within which are two sinks, a toilet, bidet, shower and a bathtub. The VIP lobby aft also has a study to starboard. ~ The main deck also hosts three double cabins, three twin cabins with Pullman berths and a salon convertible to a single cabin. The double cabins all have a double bed, widescreen TV, a seating area, a wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a toilet, bidet, sink and shower. The twin cabins have twin beds and a widescreen TV, a large wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom which has a toilet, bidet, sink and shower. The salon/single cabin contains a desk and chair, a sofa, armchair and coffee table with an en-suite bathroom providing a toilet, bidet, sink and shower. ~ The professional crew of 28 will provide guests with an exceptional experience throughout their time on board.

How to book a yacht charter?

Our dedicated charter consultant will help you select the right yacht, based on your needs and preferences, plan your itinerary and help arrange all logistics before, during and after the charter.

How much is the crew gratuity (tip)?

A crew gratuity is customary but at the Charterer’s discretion. Usually varies from 10% to 20% of the charter fee, based on the charterer’s satisfaction.

What is the Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA)?

The Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA) covers any running expenses while on board (e.g. transport, fuel, food & drink supplies, berthing dues, harbor charges, agency fees, equipment requested etc.). The APA is usually calculated as 30-40% of the charter fee, depending on the yacht. At the end of the charter, the captain will present to the charterer a detailed analysis of all expenses. Any APA not spent or any costs not covered sufficiently by the APA, will be settled between the parties at the end of the charter.

How is the charter rate calculated?

The charter rate, usually different for high and low seasons, is quoted per week.

For charters longer than a week, the charter rate is calculated by dividing the weekly rate by seven and multiplying by the number of charter days.

Charters lasting less than a week are usually calculated by dividing the weekly rate by six and multiplying by the number of charter days.

What support does OCEDA offer during the charter process?

We remain on hand throughout the charter to assist in any support required by our charterer clients such as organising an event onboard, booking restaurants, activities and handling any health and safety emergencies.

Oceda also can provide full support to the crew onboard via our agency team such as itinerary planning, the handling of all port formalities, provisioning and fuelling of the yacht.

What are the charter duration and booking lead time?

The charter duration depends on the yacht’s availability. A charter can last from 1 day (for some of the yachts) to more than a month, also depending on how long the charterer wants to charter. To ensure finding the perfect yacht for you we recommend that clients reach out to us at least 6 months in advance to the high season and up to three months in advance for off-peak season.

What are the costs the charter fee covers?

Under MYBA terms, the charter fee only covers the hire of the yacht with the crew on board. All additional expenses are covered by the chartering party. To cover such expenses an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) is required to cover any provisioning, fueling mooring and legal fees. Any APA not spent or any costs not covered sufficiently by the APA paid will be settled between the parties at the end of the charter. The APA is usually calculated as 30-40% of the charter fee. The charterer should also consider VAT and potential gratuities to the crew for their decision on a yacht.

What kind of yachts are available for charter?

There are two main peak seasons in the yachting industry – summer and winter. Alex holds a Captain Class A’ Diploma from the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and certificates in Lifesaving Equipment and Drills, First-Aid, Fire-Fighting & Prevention as well as a Dive Master certificate. He commenced a career in 2002 following his passion for the sea and served on cruise ships, but his love for yachts brought him to the yachting industry a year later. Alex has since served on motor yachts both as a Chief Officer and as a Captain with top references and 80% repeat clientele. He is really talented and has expert knowledge of the Greek Sea. What excites him the most about being a captain on a charter yacht is that he is given the chance to share unique experiences.

Super Yacht Charter brief: O’PARI super yacht (42m / 138’) is a luxury crewed motor yacht, custom built in 1997 by Intermarine SPA of Italy. She was last refitted in 2002 and 2010, and therefore has a sophisticated exterior design and engineering of a well known Italian designer. The yacht's interior has been designed by Studio Vafiadis with exterior styling done by Intermarine. As with most other Greek based super yachts available for luxury crewed mega yacht charters, her eight member highly professional crew will always provide high class silver service on board. 

Tip:     Super yacht O’PARI has a library, a great area to enjoy a good book or play a board game set amongst a leather couch book case. This cosy area is forward of the dining area, to starboard, and also has a chess table opposite the Galley.

About Super Yacht O’PARI : Super Yacht O’PARI (42m / 138’) is a beautiful Intermarine SPA semi-displacement luxury motor yacht offered for luxury crewed charters within the Eastern Mediterranean and the Greek islands. She accommodates 12 guests in six luxurious and spacious staterooms. Her stunning interior is designed by Giorgio Vafiadis and is adorned with mahogany panelling columns, custom built furniture with chosen handmade fabrics, genuine custom made carpets and a number of classic paintings. The yacht was last refitted in 2010, when various maintenance works have been carried out. The hull & part of superstructure were re-painted, new materials and new carpets in some areas were installed, whilst mechanics items are overhauled etc.  Most of all, the outdoors spaces have been kept in great shape, ensuring dining on the aft deck or on the upper deck are first choice when deciding to enjoy the panoramic ocean views. Accommodation: Super Yacht O’PARI’s  interior layout normally sleeps up to 12 guests in owners stateroom and 5 additional guest cabins. The master stateroom: It is located on the upper deck and offers remarkable panoramic views. A very spacious stateroom, this cabin features a usual king size bed and required “his and hers” toilet, two separate walk in closets, a three-seater sofa couch, Sat TV/DVD player, CD home stereo system and a separate air-condition system. There is also an onyx marble bath/Jacuzzi and glass shower. Apart from enormous amount of room, and fabulous views, the owners cabin spreads out externally, onto the genuine private deck! The so called upper deck features a half moon sofa couch with two tables and two cushion director arm chairs. From here, there are staircases leading to the most popular Sun Deck.  VIP Cabin: VIP cabin also features a King size bed, a 3 seat sofa couch, cabinets and vanity plus two separate walk in closets as well as en-suite bathroom with his and hers basins surrounded by onyx marble, a glass case shower and Jacuzzi. Both the Master stateroom and the VIP suite feature plenty of windows ensuring ample natural light during the day. Additional guest cabins:  Apart from the VIP and Master suite, there are also two double and two twin cabins. They are located on the lower deck. The Double cabins are almost identical, with Queen Size bed in the centre, “his and hers” walk in closet and en-suite facility. The en-suite facility has two water basins and Jacuzzi, surrounded by gorgeous onyx marble. The Twin cabins both have walk in closet, en-suite facilities with glass case shower and water basin. The first Twin stateroom has two single beds side by side and the second twin as an L shaped bed configuration. Another great asset for these Twin staterooms is that they may be converted into a single spacious suite by a sliding door. This way, one gets an additional luxury VIP suite or a great apartment for larger groups or children parties. There is a circular staircase leading down to the Double and Twin staterooms, and another staircase leading up to the master stateroom. The VIP cabin is located forward of the library.  All cabins have Satellite TV, DVD player, CD home stereo system and air-conditioning. Cabin configuration:

O’PARI is fully air conditioned throughout. O’PARI’s super yacht crew of up to 8 including captain have a separate heads and shower. This is a non-smoking vessel and pets are not welcomed on board. Deck: Mega charter yacht O’PARI has a large main salon with soft cream sofas ling the port and starboard side of the yacht with twin marble topped low coffee tables on rosewood bases. The comfortable sofas can very comfortably accommodate six persons each. There are also 2 arm chairs and a small round coffee table all of the same quality forward of the couches. Adjoining the salon is the formal dining area located forward separated from the salon by a wooden cabinet, with a retractable Plasma TV. To starboard, there is a small bar allowing the crew to prepare your cocktails or beverages. This entire area is fitted with cream wall to wall carpeting.

The story behind this superyacht sailing along Oahu’s south shore

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Mystery solved. You may have seen this superyacht off the coast of Waikiki.

Anne Abaya snapped a photo and asked Hawaii News Now to find out more.

We confirmed the nearly 400-foot-long vessel is called the LIVA° .

Since last week, it’s been berthed at Pier 9, then Pier 2, and right now, it’s parked in front of Aloha Tower.

Reports say it’s owned by German-born, U.S. citizen billionaire Stephen Orenstein, who lives in Dubai.

He bought it for about $250 million and spends about $25 million a year to operate it.

No word on why the ship is here, or where it’s headed next.

The largest yacht in attendance at this year’s Mediterranean Yacht Show, the 72m/236ft motor yacht ‘O’pari 3’ looked every part the leading lady as she sat among the beautiful surroundings of Nafplio, Greece.

Perfectly at home in her native waters, O’Pari 3 is the largest yacht to date from Golden Yachts, the Greek shipyard responsible for the award-winning 40m/130ft motor yacht ‘O’Pati’ as well the similarly celebrated 53m/173ft motor yacht O’NEIRO’.

With superyachts extending to her left and forward, O’PARI 3 was unquestionably holding court at the  Mediterranean Yacht Show 2016 .

After being warmly greeted by her large and experienced crew, the team at YachtCharterFleet stepped on board to familiarise themselves with Greece’s most talked about export.

Entering the main salon from the stern, the ambition of the yacht could not be more obvious- from an assortment of engaging artworks, to an abundance of comfortable Fendi furnishings to accommodate large parties with room to spare, it's clear that O’PARI 3 is a superyacht designed with the modern charterer firmly in mind.

Stylish, yet full of substance, the artful use of onyx and marble establishes not only character but ambience; it’s not just a distinct aesthetic being introduced in the main salon, but also a welcoming impression.

The intricate and colorful paintings, for example, are seriously pleasing on the eyes, whilst the thoughtfully placed seating reveals an attention for function which underlies the entire design philosophy of Giorgio Vafiadis.

Optimising the space available in the main salon, the television which typically divides this area from the formal dining has been opened up through the addition of a retractable unit.

When guests desire some extra room, they can simply lower the screen via an ipad and essentially double up on the available space. A simple, yet incredibly effective touch.

The dining table itself is flanked by two large windows to allow plenty of natural light to spill in during the day whilst a collection of recessed lights take care of accentuating the arrangement during the evening.

Proceeding through the interior of luxury yacht O’PARI 3 for the first time is not dissimilar to visiting a trendy cosmopolitan art gallery, and that’s because, in effect, that’s exactly what you are doing.

All commissioned by a single Greek artist, the work on show ranges through moods and materials, forms and traditions. Whilst in the first corridor guests find themselves drawn to a large pop art piece, in the gymnasium immediately to the port side, a canvas fitted with short red spikes is sure to have them doubly intrigued.

To describe the artwork as eclectic would be something of a disservice- the sheer variety on offer serves to complement the playfulness of the yacht’s broader design.

With an abundance of dedicated spaces found throughout, superyacht O’PARI 3 puts her size to incredible use

Whilst a gym is to be expected of a superyacht larger than 70m, it’s clear that special attention has been provided to the one located on the main deck of O’PARI 3.

Due to being delivered in June of last year, the equipment in this area is completely state of the art and allows for comprehensive workouts no matter what regime the charterer may be undertaking.

Breaking up the paneling with a mirrored wall, the space also provides the illusion of being much larger than it is as well as lending itself to activities such as yoga and aerobics.

Stepping through the foyer on the way through to a master suite at the fore, guests encounter a large nautical compass arranged in the marble flooring- an appropriate motif which recurs elsewhere with subtle variations.

What is perhaps most fetching about this particular area, however, is the figure of a man submerging himself into the wall as though it were water. Consistent with the modern flourishes found elsewhere, this feature nicely enhances the unique experience of being on board O’PARI 3.

The illuminated spiral staircase which connects all the interior guest decks is immediately to the left of this sculpture, and is even broader than might be expected of a yacht of this size.

The first of the three master cabins on O’PARI 3 is found on the main deck, and has the attractive addition of a fixed balcony to starboard.

Finished with a neutral palette, the full-beam suite is refreshing and tastefully modern, with his and hers bathrooms decorated with impressive toffee coloured marblework.

Exuding its own distinct personality, this master cabin is the largest of the three, with the other two situated on the upper deck and aft section of the bridge deck respectively.

Ultimately, the decision to include a number of master cabins of a similar stature makes chartering with large groups consisting of various families that bit more desirable.

Combining character with a dynamic layout, O’PARI 3 is in every respect the realisation of the perfect charter yacht

The second master suite found on the upper deck benefits from wraparound windows and doors providing convenient access to the exterior.

In this sense, guests using this suite are able to enjoy the luxury of a private terrace should they wish, or simply indulge in having such close proximity to the amenities found outdoors.

Once again, the artwork found above the bed endows the space with its own character whilst remaining compatible with the broader themes at work inside O’PARI 3.

A more casual alternative to the main salon, the upper salon of O’PARI 3 is something of a monochrome masterpiece.

Accented by the accompaniment of engaging artwork, this communal space also includes a bar to the port side- an ideal fixture for getting some cocktails in.

Surrounded by generously sized windows, guests are able to take in ocean panoramas whilst socialising or have a movie shown on the large screen after dark.

Ultimately, just as the many master cabins offer charterers a number of choices when it comes to sleeping, the various social spaces provide a range of unique environments when it comes to spending time together.

Tastefully modern and replete with all of the necessary features, O’PARI 3 could not be better primed for luxury yacht charter vacations

Fringed by a collection of sunpads, the Jacuzzi out on the exterior is superbly proportioned and it’s easy to imagine how complete parties could gather in style beneath the sun.

Due to being placed at the fore of the upper deck, hours can be passed taking in oceanic panoramas whilst enjoying freshly prepared drinks from the bar an arm’s length away.

In this way, the area serves as a truly luxurious observation platform for charterers to indulge when not island hopping around O’PARI 3’s cruising grounds.

Whilst the expectations of the exterior were large, the reality was in fact much greater than the team had imagined.

Putting all of the available space to incredible use, O’PARI 3 is clearly as committed to providing options outdoors as she is indoors.

More specifically, whether it’s al fresco dining, sunbathing, or socialising, charterers have a number of dedicated spaces in which to enjoy these things.

Checking out the tender garage, it was blatantly obvious just how far O’PARI 3 goes to ensure that every guest has fun whilst away on charter.

Stealing the attention of the team, the new Seadogs and assortment of scuba gear got the twice over, with the consensus that the collection could not be better suited to Greece.

What’s more, due to the strength of the yachting infrastructure Greece, any desired toys can be acquired with sufficient notice.

Featuring a fixed rather than retractable swim platform, guests on board O’PARI 3 have convenient access to the extraordinary range of tenders and toys on offer as well as plenty of space to dry off in the sun.

Stepping through to the beach club, however, opens up an entire world of possibilities.

Perfectly symmetrical, this communal area includes sofa seating on either side with a wet bar just a short distance away- just the thing to return to after being out on the water for a few hours.

Due to the tenders being stored amidships, this area is much larger than might be expected, and the designers have taken advantage of the greater square footing to include spa facilities further towards the fore of O’PARI 3

Contributing to the other wellness aspects of O’PARI 3, both the massage parlour and steam room provide charterers the opportunity to totally unwind.

Whilst such amenities might be expected of such a sizable superyacht, the way they’ve been carried out is just as impressive as her other standout features.

Indeed, as dedicated spaces, they succeed purely because they have received the same amount of attention as the finer details.

Naturally, after concluding our tour of O’PARI 3, the team’s conversation once again turned to the question: does size matter?

Whilst something of an eternal debate, O’PARI 3 certainly goes someway towards suggesting that the effective use of large spaces can lead to a charter yacht which appeals to every kind of guest.

Indeed, she is a yacht which is defined by the number of options on offer, and the consistent quality of her interior and exterior spaces.
