To Ghent by coach

Two European motorways (E17 and E40) intersect in Ghent. If you arrive from the E17, take the exit “Gent Centrum”. If you arrive at the cloverleaf interchange in Zwijnaarde from the E40, first follow the direction of Antwerp (E17) and then take the exit “Gent Centrum”.

Coach drivers who want to drop off their customers at a hotel within the pedestrian zone can request a permit from the hotel.

Ghent has a low emission zone

The Ghent city centre (the area enclosed by the ring road) has been designated as a low emission zone (LEZ) with the purpose of improving the quality of the air. Buses and coaches are to meet the applicable requirements as well. Only buses for transporting people with disabilities are exempt from the entry requirements, provided that they are registered in advance via www.lez.gent .. 

Low emission zone: register your coach to avoid a fine

Your vehicle’s Euro standard and fuel type determine whether or not you are allowed to enter the city centre of Ghent. Clean vehicles can enter the city, polluting vehicles must pay. If your vehicle is allowed to enter the city centre but you do not have a Belgian or Dutch number plate, you should ALWAYS register it!

Stopping and parking in Ghent

Passengers can quickly and easily reach the pedestrian areas of the city centre from the different Kiss & Ride areas and car parks.

Kiss & ride godshuizenlaan.

This K&R is situated at Music Centre De Bijloke and STAM . Coaches can stop here free of charge to allow their passengers to disembark free of charge (30 minutes maximally). Parking is not allowed. The nearest parking area for coaches is Parking Yachtdreef (B2) .

Tip :  the Hop-on Hop-off water tram  is an easy way to travel from the Bijloke site to the city centre. Would you rather book a boat trip for the entire group in advance? Then contact  one of the Ghent boat operators  beforehand. The captain aboard guides in several languages. 

K&R Godshuizenlaan

Kiss & Ride Bijlokekaai

This K&R is also situated at Music Centre De Bijloke and STAM . Coaches can stop here free of charge for a maximum of 30 minutes to enable their passengers to disembark. Parking is not allowed. The nearest parking area for coaches is Parking Yachtdreef (B2) .

This parking area is situated next to the Gent Dampoort railway station and in the immediate vicinity of the historic St Bavo’s Abbey , at the place where Ghent was first founded in the seventh century.

You can park your car here between 9 am and 7 pm for up to 5 hours, which will cost you 9 euro. Otherwise, you pay 1.80 euro per hour. From 7 pm until 11 pm, you pay 1.50 euro per hour. Between 11 pm and 9 am, and on Sundays and public holidays, you can park your car free of charge. If you are staying longer than 5 hours, make sure you have a parking ticket for the time exceeding those 5 hours.

This parking area can accommodate 24 coaches.

Passengers can reach the historic city centre on foot in less than 15 minutes via the Portus Ganda marina. People who are less mobile can take bus 10, 11, 12a, 12b (Korenmarkt) or 33, 70, 71, 76, 77, 78 (Zuid of Heuvelpoort).

A day ticket costs 3.5 euros. You can use it between 9 am 7 pm. Between 7 pm and 9 am, on Sundays and public holidays, you can park your car free of charge.

There are several car parks where you can park a coach. View all car parks for coaches here.  

There are several kiss-and-ride zones for coaches. Dropping travellers off by coach in other locations is only possible if the driver finds a free spot where stopping is allowed according to the highway code, and if the parked coach does not cause any hindrance or danger to other road users.    

If the police find that a coach is parked/waiting for travellers who haven’t arrived yet, they can impose a fine. It is therefore important that the coach does not stop longer than necessary for travellers to get on or off.   

Note: a large part of the historical centre is a car-free zone .    

Coaches (and other means of transport) must strictly adhere to the rules for  the car-free zone in line with the Mobility Plan (which has been in effect since 3 April 2017).    All licence plates of vehicles entering the car-free zone are scanned. If you do not have a valid permit, you will be fined.  

Exception: dropping off or picking up overnight tourists at their hotel in the zone is allowed, provided you have a permit. This permit can be requested from the hotel in question.    

Coaches may drop off or pick up hotel guests at their hotel, if they have received a permit from the hotel (located in the car-free zone). This permit can only be requested from the hotel.

Built in 1995, Grade I offers beautifully proportioned decks for exquisite indoor/outdoor living during a luxury yacht charter . Her features include an elevator and gym.

Guest Accommodation

Grade I offers guest accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising a master suite, four double cabins and one twin cabin. There are 7 beds in total, including 1 king, 4 queen and 2 singles. She is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

A charter on Grade I is comfortable and convenient thanks to the provided amenities, particularly a gym with all the latest equipment to maintain your fitness routine. Soak up the bubbles in style in the deck jacuzzi.

Whatever your activities on your charter, you'll find some impressive features are seamlessly integrated to help you, particularly an elevator, making any part of the yacht quickly and easily accessible. Take advantage of the on board Wi-Fi and stay connected at all times and in addition you can stay comfortable on board whatever the weather, with air conditioning during your charter.

Performance & Range

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin Deutz engines, she comfortably cruises at 11 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 17 knots with a range of up to 3,455 nautical miles from her 32,172 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Her low draft of 2.04m/6'8" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines.

When not cruising Grade I has onboard an incredible selection of water toys and accessories for you and your guests to connect with the waters around you. You'll be loving the huge adrenaline rush as you zip over the water on one of the three Sea Doo GTX WaveRunners. Also there are towable toys offering fun and adventure. In addition there are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. If that isn't enough Grade I also features scuba diving equipment, a seabob, fishing equipment and snorkelling equipment. When it comes to Tenders, Grade I has you covered - with two tenders, including a 12.8m/42' Yellowfin Tender.

Grade I and her crew are available for charter this summer for cruising within the Caribbean. She is already accepting bookings this winter for cruising in the Caribbean and Central America.

Owner's Suite

This premium suite (447 sq. ft. / 41.53 sq. meters) includes a thoughtfully appointed separate master bedroom suite with a permanent queen size bed and flat screen TV. Large master bathroom with massage shower and separate soaking tub with views of the sea. A spacious living with flat screen TV, writing desk and ½ guest bath. Dining area. The Owner’s Suite is suite number 315 on both yachts, located mid ship on Deck 3 – Close to the pool (aft, deck 3).

Admiral Suite

Enjoy 375 sq. ft. / 34.8 sq. meters of living space with ocean views from a total of 3 picture windows. Partitioned living and dining areas with ½ guest bath and closet. Separate and private en-suite master bedroom with permanent queen bed and closet. Marble-lined bathroom with multi-jet shower and soaking tub. Built-in dresser with writing desk. The Admiral Suite is Suite 400 on both yachts and is near the Library.

Commodore Suite Deck 3

Combine two Yacht Club Staterooms to create a Commodore Suite. These comfortably appointed ocean view? suites provide a choice of two twin beds or a queen size bed, two full marble-lined bathrooms with multi-jet showers, a seating area with sofa, coordinated chair and cocktail table, 2 spacious closets and built in dressers with writing desk. Configuration allows for either an additional permanent queen bed or dining area. There are eight possible Commodore Suites and they average 390 spacious sq. ft. / 36.23 sq. meters.

Yacht Club Deck 4

Yacht Club Deck 4 staterooms average 195 sq.ft./18.12 sq. meters. These picture window ocean view staterooms include a marble-lined bathroom in select staterooms with multi-jet shower and a well-appointed open living area with sofa, chair, cocktail table, and built-in dresser with writing desk. Choice of 2 twin beds or 1 queen bed. Enjoy close proximity to the SeaDream Spa, Fitness Center, and Library.

Yacht Club Deck 3 staterooms average 195 sq.ft./18.12 sq. meters.
