Freebird | Custom Freebird 50 50ft

Palm coast, fl, us, us $185,000.

Vessel priced $80k below appraised value for a quick sale!

"Freebird" is a very special catamaran. She was atrend setting luxury catamaran with a no expense spared interior by Camper & Nicholson. Ahead of her time for the cruising catamaran market, she features many design elements that were very innovative at the time but are now standard on liveaboard cats.

The Freebird 50 catamaran design was developed from that of the smaller Firebird design by Modular Moldings, a blisteringly fast 25 foot open deck racing catamaran that twice won the Cowes Round the Island Race. The length and beam were doubled and a deck house added to create a strong, spacious cruising catamaran capable of taking its crew anywhere in the world.

Both boats were designed by Toby Richardson, a hugely experienced catamaran sailor and the stress calculations were handled by a former senior member of the British Aerospace engineering team which created the Concorde airliner.

Ultimately 9 Freebirds were built in Cornwall, England byModular Mouldings Ltd, but production ceased when the moulds were destroyed in a factory fire.

"Freebird" offers the rare opportunity to own a cruising capable classic performance catamaran at an affordable price point. After some time and effort from a motivated new owner, Freebird can be returned to her former offshore cruising glory.

We take pride in our happy customers

Andrew Hodgson was a pleasure to have as a broker. He was always there for me and I appreciated his help and professionalism. Thank you Andrew!! Highly recommended.

β€” Bill Gardner

Just wish to share our thanks with Cal Landau and The Multihull Company for their service selling our catamaran that we owned for nearly 15yrs. Cal our broker in West Palm Beach was THE BEST! He worked with us beyond the call of duty in helping us prep and moor our boat during some horrendous weather that came through last Winter and always offered to lend a hand while we were in West Palm procuring supplies. etc. Cal was always present to show the boat, learned about our boat systems to answer questions from shoppers and made a very informative listing with great photos and video that attracted a lot of action. I wish to highly recommend Cal and The Multihull Co if you’re planning on putting your boat on the market.

β€” Rush’n Blue’s Travels

The entire company was committed to my satisfaction as a seller. Andrew the broker went out of his way to help me prepare the boat for sale and in just 3 weeks we had it under contract. I had to be away from the country but Andrew the broker and Andrew (same name) the Chief Operating Officer walked me through all the paperwork needed and kept me informed at every stage of the sale. Boat owners don’t remain without a boat for long, if this is the case for me, I will certainly contact Andrew and the Multihull Company to be my broker.

β€” Emilio Hernandez

Andrew, and Andrew are both fantastic. Transaction was smooth and professional highly recommend the team over at Multihull.

β€” Paul Fosler

I just purchased my first large boat (my dreamboat) and Michael Streng and the rest of TMC was amazing! I really felt like I was a VIP customer because they were fast and easy to communicate with and worked ahead of me. It really was a treat and I would use them again any day!

value. Many places in the So Pacific are somewhat inaccessible or corrupt like . can be real hard to get and can have huge in addition to the already formidable costs. It's kinda that people want to sail to these areas but not want to buy a boat there.
