Description
The Nacra F18 Evolution is a racing catamaran built with advanced technology, sophisticated design tools and 45 years of experience. The primary ambition of the new Formula 18 design was to build upon the Nacra F18 Infusion’s unique pedigree as the best all-around performing F18, over the full range of sailing conditions for every sailor.
Most notable on this F18 Evolution: the hull shape design. It has an aggressively styled raked wave-piercing bow with a horizontal hull chine running back into the transom. This design delivers a unique compromise for both sailing upwind and downwind at different speeds. The optimized foredeck in front of the main beam and embedded beams into the hull add extra sleekness to this design. The updated longitudinal beam position optimizes the hydrodynamic and aerodynamic balance between the sail plan and appendages.

Easily the Best Nacra 18 Square Meter Catamaran and Custom Tilt Trailer in the country. This is my own Personal 18 Square meter NACRA Catamaran and Custom Hydraulic Tilt Trailer. I have not used it in 20 years and it has always been stored in my climate-controlled building first In Bellevue, WA and now in Lynden, WA (just 6 miles south of the Canada Boarder). I have detailed the boat and trailer and everything is in better than new condition. This is a one-of-a-Kind custom 18 Square Meter Nacra Catamaran with extensive upgrades and modifications and the best and last of the three Hydraulic tilt trailers that I designed and built. Hulls have some minor spider cracks around the chain plates and a few cosmetic gelcoat blemishes; but, do not leak. Centerboards and rudder blades have minor abrasive gelcoat loss on the leading edges; but, no gouges or cracks. Otherwise; hulls, rudders, and centerboards are in good condition. All spars including rotating mast and cross members in good condition. Trampoline is in good condition. Includes fully battened, Mylar/Kevlar, racing mainsail and OEM zippered jib, both in good condition. Running rigging is Harken. Includes swing up motor mount for small outboard or electric trolling motor (motor not included). Includes trapeze rigging for crew of two and several trapeze harnesses in assorted sizes. Includes Cooper Trailer M/N C-187, single axle, galvanized steel, trailer in road worthy condition. Trailer GVWR: 960 lb, Rated Load: 700 lb. Clear title on both boat and trailer. 1999 NACRA 6.0 in excellent condition. I'm selling because I have too many toys. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. I have tons of extra gear and hardware. I just waxed 2 weeks ago. Been stored indoors until the last month, now stored at fresh water lake. Very easy boat to sail by yourself, I sail by myself all the time. Everything needed for boat included and in excellent condition. Spare rigging and all sheets and halyards including roller fuller jib setup. Also has a new Kevlar sail and Spinnaker, jib sail is in perfect condition. This boat has standard 8.6 beams and weighs 450lbs. All tires in great condition on trailer. BOAT ALSO HAS A CARBON FIBER RIGHTING POLE VERY EXPENSIVE. Ready to sail, no soft spots, or leaks. I have an electric winch setup for hoisting the mast alone with a car key transmitter to start the winch. Included is a custom mast stand and all the rigging. The cat box stores everything including the sails. Boat has just been waxed. No cracks, holes, or leaks anywhere on boat. I also have the instruction manual and whoever buys I can show how to setup. I just sailed it last week and had a blast. This is faster than any modern Hobie I've ever been on. It has 280sq ft of sail. The only cosmetic things I can think of are a 3 inch hole in the trampoline from the previous owner caused by the belt from the trailer not properly secure and tied down. I've been sailing with it for a while it hasn't been an issue. Minor nicks and scratches on hulls underneath. Mast is 30ft tall and boat weighs 450lbs. Buyer pays for shipping and transport. Ships within continental US excluding Hawaii and Alaska. The ISAF Equipment Evaluation Panel wrote: The clear preference of the MNA Sailors and the Evaluation Panel was the innovative new NACRA 17. Designed specifically for the Mixed Multihull criteria the Evaluation Panel concluded the NACRA 17 is seen as the best option. Featuring curved dagger boards providing vertical lift, the NACRA 17 will carry a wider range of crew weight better than the 16 footers and is considerably lighter than a Formula 18. Great condition Prindle 18 catamaran beachcat FAST!

This boat is FAST and great fun. It's a Prindle 18 catamaran, hardly used condition that I bought in Ohio a few years ago. It is ready to sail, needs nothing. Its hulls, sails, and standing rigging look and work perfectly. The mast has a small dent (unknown) that does not affect anything (shown up close in photo). Sails are still crisp and colorful. Running rigging is all Harken. It has an extendable tiller and kick-up rudders that work as they should. New stainless double trapeze wires and 2 seats. Trampoline is in good condition for its age (usually covered) but is likely original. Comes with trailer (newer tires, bearing buddies, and lights) that has a sturdy mast cradle.
