Dockside Boat & Bed is a certified Bed & Breakfast on private yachts.  Our guests enjoy their own private, dockside boat for the night.   Much more than a hotel room, a night on a yacht is a total experience.  From the gentle waves lapping on the hull to the sounds of seagulls and pelicans overhead.. guests are immersed in the marine lifestyle.   

All of our guests enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast onboard their boat.  Consisting of various fresh pastries, yogurt, fruit and orange juice.  The boats are also stocked with complimentary bottled water, coffee/tea service and light snacks.  We also offer complimentary WiFi, DirectTV and SmartTVs onboard  our yachts.   

Our Location

We are located in the beautiful and scenic Rainbow Harbor in downtown Long Beach, California.  Our dock is centrally located steps away from over 20 restaurants, shopping, the Aquarium of the Pacific, movie theater, boat rentals, harbor cruises, bike rentals,  the historic Queen Mary, whale watching and much more.

What should I consider when staying on a boat?

While boats have a lot of charm, not all offer a lot of space, and sometimes bedrooms (whether staterooms or berths) can even be claustrophobic with very limited square footage. Be sure to ask the host questions about the size of the rooms if you have concerns.

Not all boats have super-small living quarters, though. Houseboats, for example, will tend to offer more room to move around than sailboats since they're meant for day-to-day living. Yachts for larger groups can also offer more space. 

Be aware that not all boats have full kitchens or showers so be sure to read up on the amenities and what's onboard versus nearby.

How do I find an Airbnb that's a boat? 

Type in your initial search criteria on the site's landing page, including the number of guests, destination, and dates (or as much of that as you know).

Then, click "more filters," and scroll down to "unique stays." You'll find a box to check that says "boats," and that will bring up the only boats to your results pages.

What is the Airbnb Enhanced Clean program?

The Airbnb Enhanced Clean is a program for hosts that involves learning and getting certified in strict cleaning protocols. These cover everything from wearing personal protective equipment and what cleaning supplies to use to how to clean between guests. Motor yacht THE B&B is a truly refined charter yacht that delivers style, stability and service, ideal for a family charter or for a group of friends. The yacht boasts a tasteful and spacious interior as well as exterior. In addition, she is well equipped with state-of-the-art electronics and communications with V-Sat, Wi-Fi and zero speed stabilisers.

Guests are welcome to unwind in the Spa Pool found on the bridge deck as well as savour the dishes prepared by THE B&B’s chef, grilled on the bridge deck BBQ. There is also an additional outdoor semi-shaded seating area as well as a wet bar. Further dining opportunities are offered by the covered aft-deck with additional wet bar and access to the swim platform.

THE B&B Specifications

At the bow, the Portuguese deck allows access to a magnificent semi-circular shaped seating area on the foredeck. Another seating area, partially shaded, can be found on the sun-deck together with al fresco dining, wet bar and oversized sun-pads.

The yacht is powered by twin MTU 1735hp engines with speeds of 14 to 25 knots. She is fitted with both at anchor and underway stabilizers.

Yacht Accommodation

Accommodation aboard yacht THE B&B is provided in 5 comfortable cabins, including the on-deck Master Stateroom featuring a king bed, en-suite, his and her walkthrough bath with whirlpool tub and separate shower with full body sprayers. The entertainment centre boasts a 32” flat screen TV/5 disc DVD/VCR/CD/AM-FM Stereo with surround sound. Other amenities are the walk-in cedar lined wardrobe with digital safe, a built-in dresser to port with a desk, chair and small refrigerator, as well as a bookcase and love seat. There are two equal VIP staterooms situated below decks aft, one starboard and one located to port. The VIPs have a kind-sized bed, a combination dresser with entertainment centre, featuring a 26” flat screen DVD/VCR/CD/AM-FM Stereo with surround sound. The rooms’ en-suites have a stall shower with full amenities, there is also a cedar lined wardrobe with full-length mirror. The yacht’s equal twin staterooms are situated below decks amidship, one to starboard and one to port. Both of the rooms boast two twin-sized beds, cedar lined wardrobe, built-in entertainment centre with a 26” flat screen TV/DVD/CD AM/FM stereo with surround sound. En-suites have a stall shower with full amenities.
