Captain kevin gentles.

Kevin was born in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. He moved to the British Virgin Islands at a young age where his family-owned and operated a charter company on a large Sailing trimaran for 24 years. While living in the islands he started his career as a deckhand/stew and has since worked in various different roles such as Detailer, painter, deckhand, lead deckhand, bosun, first mate on large sailing yachts and motor yachts as well as Captain taking out day sails. Recently coming from the position of the First officer on a Royal Families Flagship Yacht. He knows high-end service AND fun. He has been involved in the marine industry from a young age. His immediate family is made up of Captains, SCUBA Instructors, Marine Engineers, Surveyors, and Naval Architects. So the ocean is in his blood. Some of his interests include diving, which he is currently completing his divemaster, exploring new locations, exercising, and riding motorcycles. Kevin has lived and worked around the world on yachts including all over the Mediterranean, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, The Maldives, and the Philippines. He has many interesting stories to share and is a very outgoing person who has never met a stranger. He is happy to return to his roots and be closer to family. He always had a deep love for the British Virgin Islands.

CHEF NICOLE BOWMAN

100 T license with a Sailing Endorsement. She additionally carries a certificate in Culinary Arts, HABC QCF from Ashburton, STCW, and ENG1 Nicole has spent 7 years as a successful Charter Chef on a variety of Sailing and Motor Yachts progressively making her way up in size and quality. Nicole hails from “where the cows are” in the middle of Florida. Outside of work, she enjoys SCUBA diving, hiking, and exploring Islands.

STEWARDESS DIANE MOFFITT

Diane is no stranger to the British Virgin Islands after spending several years working for the Tortola Sailing School. She hails from the United Kingdom and has spent the last few years as a stewardess on a variety of yachts. She enjoys travelling, meeting new people, sailing, great food and all things farming! Diane has done chef duties for Ski Chalets and will provide great cocktails, theme parties and friendly attention to detail onboard MARIAH PRINCESS III.

Additional Rate Details: GENERAL NOTES: MINIMUM NIGHTS: 5 – inquire for less, happy to do it if it works with our schedule. For 6-night charters, divide the weekly rate by 7 nights X 6 nights. Luxury Crewed Charter Rates

The Horizon Yacht Charters BVI Crewed Charter rates are for 7 nights per vessel and are based on the number of guests. Please see individual yacht pages for detailed specifications and charter rates. Horizon Yacht Charters luxury crewed yacht charters come complete with your own personal Captain & Chef (and in the larger yachts, first mate and hostess).  NB some yachts may be skipper only (with the option of a chef) – they are stated as such. Your meals aboard are included in the rate and prepared to your group’s individual preferences and dietary requirements. Beverages are also included but please note special requests for specific brands may be subject to an additional charge.  Watersports equipment (such as paddleboards, kayaks etc) are also included and some yachts offer all-inclusive diving.

High season rates typically apply from December to April, and Low season from May to November, but please do check the seasonal rates for your yacht.

Each individual crewed yacht may charge for certain additional expenses (e.g. National Park Permit, Cruising permit, different port collections or departures).  Please ask for a full breakdown of costs for your chosen yacht. Additional supplements may apply at Christmas and New Year.

All yachts come with tenders with outboards and safety equipment. Please review the individual yacht specification on our website for further details of available equipment and details of inclusions and exclusions.

Charter Rates shown above are for 7 nights per vessel (Christmas and New Year supplements on selected yachts). Crewed Charters usually start at noon and finish at noon, but please do check times for your particular yacht.

• Hotel Accommodations  throughout the islands can be arranged. Most major credit cards accepted.  Please check our Accommodations page for more information.

An Environmental levy of $10 per head is payable by all visitors to the BVI on arrival (effective 1st Sept 2017).

Bookings and Cancellations  – We require a 50% deposit to confirm the reservation and the balance due of 50% no later than 45 days prior to charter start date. A smaller deposit and interim fee may be acceptable for bookings made more than 12 months in advance. Cancellation fees apply, and vary from yacht-to-yacht. Please check the specific terms for your yacht at the time of booking.

Introduced by DMA Yachting, the majestic charter yacht CRAZY HORSE is a 78 ft power catamaran featuring a jetski. The key elements of CRAZY HORSE are her generous space and culinary experience. CRAZY HORSE spends the summer season in Greece. She was constructed by the well-known ship builder Lagoon in 2019. The well-planned yacht layout features 5 large cabins and comfortably accommodates a group of 10 guests.

CRAZY HORSE is presented primarily as a power catamaran. The central space of the yacht is the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is generous, with a prominent dining and seating area and usually it is where you, as a charter guest, spend most of your time. The fascinating cabins are located in the 2 massive hulls. The cabins are connected by stairs to the main saloon - roomy, comfortable and pleasant. Multiple portholes supply a sunny feeling, with the option for darkness and privacy.

The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). SASTA is introduced primarily as a power catamaran. The yacht layout radiates from the main saloon, which connects to the aft deck. The aft deck is generous, with a prominent dining and seating area and that's where the guests spend most of their time. NICOLAS ZINGGREBE | CAPTAIN | GERMAN EXPERIENCE: I started off my career on a 40mts yacht as first officer where I was able to form myself in all aspects of a vessel, from maintenance and upkeep to management and admin. During my time on board, we cruised the Balearic area extensively as well as south of France, Monaco and the Genoa golf (up to Porto Fino). After three seasons on board I decided it was time for me to take the leap and become Captain, and I was able to do so on a 56ft Azimut charter vessel, my first season long command. During the same season I spent two months in Italy (Amalfi coast) on board a 64ft Sirena that was part of the same fleet. After an intense season on board the Azimut and Sirena I was able to join a Princess 68ft, taking her from a bare bone vessel to fully charter ready one and went on to spend three seasons on board operating exclusively around the Balearic Islands as a private/chaters vessel. I’m now proudly the new captain on board SÁSTA, a 78ft lagoon power catamaran. HOBBIES: CrossFit, diving, snowboarding, longboarding, tinkering with cars. After three seasons on board I decided it was time for me to take the leap and become Captain, and I was able to do so on a 56ft Azimut charter vessel, my first season long command. During the same season I spent two months in Italy (Amalfi coast) on board a 64ft Sirena that was part of the same fleet. After an intense season on board the Azimut and Sirena I was able to join a Princess 68ft, taking her from a bare bone vessel to fully charter ready one and went on to spend three seasons on board operating exclusively around the Balearic Islands as a private/chaters vessel. Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
