After Drake and Lil Yachty, Rap Show ‘On The Radar’ Plans to Keep the Hits Coming

By Mankaprr Conteh

Mankaprr Conteh

This summer, hip-hop channel On The Radar was on everyone’s radar as it rose to become one of the internet’s finest purveyors of freestyle videos and interviews, reaching a new high with a Drake appearance featuring buzzing U.K. rap star Central Cee . Both traded bars at the show’s New York studio, shrouded in its signature green-means-go lights. Beyond producing the best music meme of the season (Drake slurring “combination” in one of his infamous accents during the song’s intro) it also produced one of the hottest rap songs of the summer. The internet moves quickly, though — in another life, the song would still be ringing off everywhere, but even On The Radar has kept it moving. Lil Yachty teased his own freestyle days ago and it arrived on October 6, meaning OTR snagged yet another hitmaker having a career-redefining moment, with Yachty still shapeshifting after a decade as one of rap’s most enthralling weirdos.

Editor’s picks

Every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term, the 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, 25 most influential creators of 2024.

So it started off with us just going into our back catalog of freestyles, seeing who produced some of these records that were our friends, so we could easily get them to sign off on it. And then of course, the artists who we’re friends with that would easily sign off on it. The goal for the year was to drop 300 records on streaming. And we’ve done about maybe, I think I counted the other day, it’s around 125 to 130, but we’ve done a pretty good job of that so far. We’ve also used that opportunity to build and grow into live EPs, which we started off with our friend wolfacejoeyy , who’s blown up off our platform twice. So we did a whole live EP with him. My dad used to have the Nirvana MTV Unplugged Live DVD that we used to watch all the time. So it brought me back to that.

So the goal is not necessarily to sign artists to contracts for projects, but t o do singles, EPs, stuff like that? Gabe: We do want to eventually sign artists down the line and then Tobby will one day move into more of a management position for artists. But right now we don’t have the necessary funds that we need to make that happen where it makes sense to sign artists. So until then, it’s just like, let’s just put out dope music and just let that ride and see what happens. The most music we ever dropped on a Friday was 14 singles.

John Nurse: The thing is we distribute through ourselves. So a lot of people been on our line stuff as far as distribution, like [proposing a joint venture with a major label] so we’re trying to look for the right situation, but right now we’re going to do it all ourselves.

What would doing everything you’ve set out to do look like? Gabe P: There’s no angle. It’s just like what’s next? Because if I set an angle for myself, then I’m limiting myself. You know what I’m saying? Drake was just a stepping stone. You could ask [Tobbylola and John], a week after the Drake thing went up, they’re like, “so are you feeling it?” And I’m like, “cool.” Oh, it’s number one on RapCaviar . I’m like, okay, that’s cool. We got shit to do.

With the Drake freestyle on DSPs, did your labels put that out together? John: No. You don’t really tell Drake how to move, but there was good collaborative effort. We worked with the label to get it out there. We had some terms and demands. They told us what they could do and we met in the middle.

Tobbylola, tell me about your path. Tobbylola: I was working in media since I graduated from high school. I was writing for my school’s newspaper. Then when I went onto college, I had the opportunity to start interning at Hot 97. Then at a point I started writing for The Source and then for Lyrical Lemonade. One day I started doing press runs to assist artists. I was working with Boston Richie at the time, and I wanted to bring him to Gabe’s platform. So I had hit up my friend Shauna James from Atlantic Records, and I was like, “Hey, can you connect me with him?” And she did. And I brought Richie over to him and I was like, “I see your set-up here. It is cool. I feel like I could bring some structure.” I felt like I got artists from writing for Lyrical, so I could probably bring them over there. And I was like, “let’s just cook up.” One day Gabe just called me and was like, “Hey, I got my studio now. So you said you want to help me with scheduling, let’s just try for a week.” And then we just tried for a week and then to now they’re obsessed. They haven’t let me go since. But really we just created a family. I just saw there was stuff that was missing there. And then I tried to just be that person to just come on board and really just connect the dots where it made sense

John: A few people have asked me, “You don’t want to go back to the majors?” I’m like, yeah, no, because over there you have to do so much just to get recognized and just to move up, as opposed to now I’m at the head of an independent level and doing bigger things than I would’ve had responsibility for over there.

They’re very steeped in their tradition. It’s like, media publications are like that too, right? John: Especially radio. I used to work in promotions. A lot of people that were there when I was there in 2013, ’14, they’re all still there now. And respectfully, it’s great to hold a job. I ain’t trying to take nobody out. But also there’s got to be some type of balance where you got a lot of young people and the old people to coincide.

Tobbylola: I think that’s what makes On The Radar so different is because really this is a team that was like, we’re all just coming together now, just trying to make things make sense. It’s really not no old head who’s on top of us [saying] “Do this, do this.” The old head really is Gabe.

Gabe P: The old head really is John.

Tobbylola: No, you know I didn’t want to say that. But if you saying whose brand, who calls the shots, obviously it’s Gabe’s brand.

Gabe P: And there’s no one who’s been this young who’s had this much impact on the culture in such a short period of time. You know what I’m saying? I’m not knocking anybody, but I’m saying that there hasn’t been someone who maybe since Angie Martinez or early days of Stretch and Bobbito — they was in college really when they were putting on with Wu-Tang and Biggie and all them, they were the youngest. But since that era of radio, Angie and Flex, no one this young has had this much of an impact on the culture in this type of period of time. And who has given you Drake, Ice Spice, all on the same platform all while maintaining…yeah, Drake was on the platform, but we’re someone dropping today on the platform who has 4,000 followers on the ‘Gram. Nobody does that. Nobody thinks to do that.

Gabe: I found [Bronx drill rapper] Kay Flock, I did Kay Flock’s first interview. I found B Lovee and Dougie B, I did their first and only interview where all three of them are together. That was the start of everything. DThang , I brought people DThang, I brought people Ice Spice.

John: Literally broke Ice Spice.

Gabe: Literally broke Ice Spice, you know what I’m saying? I did GloRilla’s first-ever New York City interview, you know what I’m saying? So there’s a lot of things that we’ve done that have just paved the way for a lot of other things.

Tobbylola: And then we’re super humble on top of that. It’s so many platforms. For me, I personally feel like we have a team that’s so grateful.

I think y’all are interesting because there are performances, but then there are also interviews. What is the relationship between the two? Being a media platform that does journalistic work and performance work? Gabe P: I mean, I came up under Angie Martinez and I feel like, I don’t really need to say more than that. I feel like hip-hop media right now is everybody wants clicks. Gabe:

‘It Ends With Us’ Crew Members Say Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s Creative Differences Were Not a Secret on Set

Trump goes full fascist in truth social posting spree, my father is honored at arlington. trump used the site for a political stunt, neil young breaks silence on crazy horse tour cancellation: 'i listened to my body'.

John: And a lot of that also comes from the niche that we have at On The Radio. You catch somebody young and early, you build that relationship through time and trust through time. So they know what they getting into when they come to you. Like, oh no, that’s my mans, he wouldn’t do that to me . And that’s a fact. He wouldn’t do that to you.

Tobbylola: And let Drake’s previous press run in New York be a testimony that these artists, they want to hit these newer platforms. What y’all need to understand is the music industry is changing. The platforms that are catering to the artists are changing as well. And it’s your best bet to probably adapt to how this industry is changing, rather than hating on the new platforms that are creating their own thing.

Lil Yachty Said Karrahbooo ‘Verbally Abused People’ Before She Was Kicked Out Of Concrete Boys

Aaron Williams

Lil Yachty and Karrahbooo have seemingly been on the outs since she seemingly split from the Concrete Boys group just a few months after its official inception earlier this year. While Yachty confirmed the split in July, he was initially reluctant to go into details. That seems to have changed after Karrahbooo allegedly complained to a fan about her treatment within the group, prompting Yachty to share his side of the story, accusing the younger rapper of being verbally abusive to crew members.

“Go ahead and tell people how you talk to people,” Yachty said during an Instagram Live stream. “How you tell my security guard, ‘You homeless?’… You talk to people like they’re nothing! You talk to people like they’re small, like they’re beneath you. Tell people how you verbally abuse people.” Yachty also revealed that he wrote many of Karrahbooo’s verses and claimed that he signed her from a waitressing job to giving her money, jewelry, and a career.

Yachty even shared a reference track for Karrahbooo’s verse when the group went on the On The Radar Radio show to freestyle.

The Atlanta native’s comments are a far cry from when he said, “I don’t have anything bad to say. Or anything good to say. We just split, and I wish the Kar[rahbooo] in her career.”

Karrahbooo

Late last week, Lil Yachty had what many would consider a meltdown on social media — and his former groupmate is responding to some of the heated allegations.

Boat also claimed he wrote all of her verses and positioned her as the face of Concrete Boys. “I wrote every f—ing verse you’ve done,” he proclaimed. Later saying, “I slowed the beat down, I put 808s specifically on your verse so when it got to your part and the beat dropped, everyone would be like, ‘This girl is the craziest one,'” in reference to her viral On the Radar freestyle.

Well, over the weekend, Karrahbooo addressed her former label boss.

She first responded to him via Instagram Stories, saying, “Put it on yo kid I ain’t write these songs miles. Stop da cap and leave me out ur internet shenanigans.” She continued, “Stop bullying me big dawg I never said anything you letting random fans get in yo head man up.”

Then, during her set at Pepsi Dig In Day in Chicago, Karrahbooo again addressed Yachty’s ghostwriting allegations. While performing her song “Running Late,” she asked the crowd, “Who ain’t write it?… Who ain’t write it?” several times.

Meet the Members of Lil Yachty’s Concrete Boys Crew

Here’s a breakdown with everything you need to know about each of the members in Lil Yachty’s collective.

Lil Yachty is determined to keep rap collectives alive with his eclectic Concrete Boys crew.

Over the past couple of years, he’s been assembling a collection of artists—Karrahbooo, Camo!, Dc2trill, and Draft Day—who each reflect the new and exciting sound that has been bubbling in the South.

Draft Day is the first ‘Crete signee who can fit on any type of beat with his chameleonic flow; Dc2trill is the spark plug who injects every track with Southern energy; Camo! has some of the most elite wordplay in the group; and Karrahbooo has emerged as the biggest star so far, with a laid-back personality that matches her effortless flow.

“Concrete [means] you’re just a solid individual,” Draft Day said during an interview with Montreality , explaining what bonds them all together. “You’re truly yourself. You know who you are as a person, at the end of the day. You’re gonna stand tall on whatever you put out into the world, whatever you’re doing. Can’t nobody tell you shit, and you’re just solid.”

Before Concrete’s first project as a collective It’s Us Volume 1 drops this week, here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know about each of the members in Lil Yachty’s crew.

What songs should I listen to first? “Running Late,” “Box The 40,” “On The Radar Concrete Cypher”

Who is she?

Karrahbooo, a 27-year-old rapper from Atlanta, realized she wanted to pursue rap while working as an assistant for Lil Yachty, before dropping her first song “Money Counter” when he fired her in 2022. At first, her main goal was to be an actor, and as she explained in an interview with Montreality , “I’m only rapping because I saw Boat doing a movie when I was his assistant, and that’s the day I was like, ‘I want to be a rapper,’ because you can just be an actor from being a rapper if you’re fly enough. That’s how Boat did it.” Regardless of what her original dreams were, however, Karrahbooo has become an integral cog in the Concrete Boys machine, earning her place as the most well-known artist in the crew (outside of Yachty) thanks to viral moments like her breakout verse on Concrete’s On The Radar freestyle cypher last year. And her aspirations as an actress can be seen in her cameo in an old Druski skit that resurfaced on social media recently.

What’s her role in the crew?

The First Lady of the ‘Crete doesn’t rap like any of her male counterparts in the crew. Instead, she adopts a syrupy flow similar to Detroit rappers like Veeze and Babytron who intentionally duck and weave the beat. Her laid-back flow has been getting a lot of people talking lately, because of how drowsy her cadence can sound over upbeat production (like on her most recent release “RIP Follies” ) but her unique style is setting Karrah apart from her peers. In most cases, she knows how to ride the beat at her own effective pace, like on “Running Late,” “Box the 40,” and Concrete’s Christmas cypher, where she lets her cadence flow freely like a meandering river. However divisive she may be, she has more charisma than anyone in the crew and she’s dedicated to being herself, which is her greatest weapon.

Can you explain this in basketball terms?

If you take her interviews about wanting to be an actor more than a rapper at face value, Karrah is like the Nikola Jokic of the Concrete Boys: she’s a natural bucket, but she’s very nonchalant about the game itself.

What songs should I listen to first? “With You” f/ Lil Yachty, “Swap Her Birk,” “Jet Lag”

Camo! is an Atlanta rapper who has been releasing music since 2019. He met Lil Yachty on the video shoot for “ Split/Whole Time” and the two would connect again a year later when Yachty invited the young rapper to the studio. From there, Camo continued reaching out to his new mentor until eventually falling under the Concrete umbrella around the same time as Karrahbooo in 2022. He has since appeared in several Concrete Boys cyphers and joined Yachty on a collab called “With You” in 2023.

What’s his role in the crew?

Camo raps with a cadence that is often very similar to Yachty’s, but the sound of his voice is smoother and he might have the best technical rapping ability out of anyone in the group. When Concrete needs hard bars on songs like their “ Concrete Cypher,” Camo is always ready to deliver, despite being one of the younger members of the group (his exact age is unclear, but he said he met Yachty in 2022 when he was just starting college, which would make him around 20 or 21 right now).

He’s lyrically savvy beyond his years, using clever bars to keep Concrete tracks seasoned, making him the scrappy young Rajon Rondo (think ‘08 Celtics era) of the crew.

What songs should I listen to first? “ Grooviest In The World,” “ Fomo,” “Show Me The Money”

Dc2trill was born in Texas, but he split time between Texas and Alabama for most of his life. He dropped his first song called “PassAround” nine years ago when he was in high school, which helped him gain some regional notoriety. Then he got in contact with Yachty after J Bans reached out and said that Boat was a fan in 2019, before eventually linking up a year later. “We ended up recording a couple songs. He pulled me out of the session and was like, ‘Yo, bro I want to sign you, and I want to help you with your music,” Trill explained in an interview with Tapped In . Dc2trill flew out to Detroit with Yachty while he was working on his Michigan Boy Boat mixtape, and was featured on the legendary “Royal Rumble” posse cut that dropped before the tape in 2021. The two have been working together ever since.

As the only artist who didn’t grow up in Atlanta, Dc2trill brings a different sound and perspective to the crew, and he’s been releasing music longer than anyone (besides Yachty). His solo music is very impressive, especially his most recent 2023 album, Family Matters, where he was able to pair gritty rhymes and a southern twang with silky jazz samples. The tape already has motion on the streets with tracks like “Grooviest In The World” and “Fomo,” and it’s clear the people are slowly catching up to the talent that he has.

Think of Dc2trill as Warriors-era Andre Iguodala; he might not always be super flashy, but he’s an MVP-caliber player in the framework of his team

What songs should I listen to first? “How Far Will I Go” f/ Lil Yachty, “Popovich Freestyle” f/ Lil Yachty, “Sunday Talkin”

Draft Day was the first artist officially signed to Concrete Boys back in 2021, and the two had already known each other for several years before that. He’s originally from Broward County, Florida, but eventually moved to Atlanta and started making music when he was in high school. He met Yachty around the same time through mutual friends when he was a freshman in high school. “We just built that relationship beyond music, just as a brother,” Draft Day said in an interview with Lyrical Lemonade. “Through the time, he just saw my work ethic, and now we’re here today. He signed me, and we’re here today.” Anyone paying close attention to the Lil Yachty extended universe is familiar with Draft Day through little cameos like when Drake noticed him looking out into the distance during an interview with Yachty and jokingly said, “I’ve just been looking at Draft Day staring off into the sunset, knowing his time is coming.”

Draft Day has a similar flow as Camo!, except he stays on the beat more than his Concrete counterpart, who sometimes intentionally slips in and out of it. His raspy voice and reliable flow help him add a different complexion to the group’s tracks, and hopefully the excitement generated from It’s Us Volume 1 will give him more momentum as he prepares to drop his first full-length solo project since 2019.

Because he’s helped build the collective from the ground up with Yachty, he has an instinctual understanding of how to rap with the other members of the crew and enhance their rhymes, making him the Chris Paul of the team. He’s an assist master, but is still hunting for that big solo moment to crystalize his career.

Giovanna Ramos is an Atlanta-based model who formed a close friendship with Lil Yachty after she moved out to Atlanta last year. She’s included in the Concrete Boys family portrait that Yachty recently posted, so we’re including her on this list, and a photo of her gold grills were used as the cover art for Yachty’s “Slide” single art. “I genuinely did not know I was going to be the cover for these projects,” Ramos told Complex about her involvement in the “Slide” visuals. “[Yachty] sent me ‘Slide’ a while back and I kept telling him almost every day like ‘Bro this is my favorite song right now’ and then a few months later he hit me up saying ‘Come over tomorrow, we shooting the video’ and I was super excited.” Gio has been hanging with the crew ever since her involvement on “Slide,” and can be seen in the background of other Concrete artists’ music videos .

Gio doesn’t rap, so she isn’t an artist on the crew, but it’s clear by her inclusion in the family portrait that she’s an important part of Concrete. When you see the ‘Crete, you’ll see her. While Gio doesn’t make music, she provides the swag and energy that every rap collective needs.

Think of her as a player like PJ Tucker: someone who keeps the locker room in check and makes sure the team is staying fly.

Lil Yachty and Karrahbooo’s Feud Escalates With Bullying Accusations

Lil Yachty and his former artist Karrahbooo 's feud escalates with bullying accusations.

Lil Yachty and Karrahbooo Continue Throwing Shots at Each Other

On Sunday (Aug. 25), Lil Yachty hopped on his Instagram Story to address Karrahbooo's claims about writing her own rhymes and being bullied. Karrahbooo was part of Yachty's Concrete Boys collective. Although Yachty didn't directly address the 27-year-old rhymer, his message suggested that he clapped back at her allegations.

"Don't throw rocks and hide your hands," Boat wrote on his IG Story post below.

After catching wind of the Atlanta rapper's message, Karrahbooo posted a lengthy statement on her Instagram Story about supporting others in times of need and alluded to Yachty picking on her.

"I'll never forget this feeling, this chapter of my life. I'll never be the same," Karrahbooo penned in her IG Story. "I'll never forget who was there for me. I done chopped people out/spent my last/slapped folks 4 ni**as. I ride every time naturally, but that's just how I am. Nobody owe me sh*t tbh I'm just taking a mental note. I can't even look at most people da same way. To know the truth and watch a grown man with 12 million followers overly lie on my name and publicly bully me for literally no reason at all while I silently been conquering all da sh*t ni**as been throwing me this whole time behind closed doors. I'll never ignore the signs again, and I will never stop, no matter how much they hate me."

In her next IG Story post, Karrahbooo responded to Yachty's aforementioned message, insisting that they could discuss their issues on the phone. She also stated that she just wanted to make peace with individuals in the music scene.

"I never threw rocks and u have my number you big grown b**ch. Leave me alone literally @lilyachty," she typed in her IG Story post. "I never said nothing about sh*t and I still ain't say nothing 'bout what's really going on. I don't want no beef wit you industry people. Just move on wit ur life. Stop tryna bring me down when I stay out the way. I'm done talking. You got it. Yo character gone speak for itself."

Why are lil yachty and karrahbooo beefing.

Things went south between Lil Yachty and Karrahbooo after a fan shared a post on social media and claimed that after bumping into Karrahbooo at a restaurant, the rapper told her she was kicked out of Concrete Boys and bullied during her time on the label . On Aug. 22, Lil Yachty went live on Instagram and denied Karrahbooo's bullying allegations . Boat said Karrahbooo was actually the one bullying others.

"Tell people how you talk to people," Yachty said in his heated video below. "How you tell my security guard, 'Oh, you homeless. You work for me. You're poor. We above you.' You talk to people like they nothing...Tell people how you verbally abuse people. How you said you gon' spit on me when you see me."

"I been letting you do this whole thing where you act like you a princess and you sweet," he continued. "Stop the front, bro. We have withheld your actions since the beginning of me giving you this career. What the f**k are we talking about, bro. You don't even do nothing. It's so crazy to me, bro. ’Cause I've given you a career, and from time to time, you just disrespect me.

Boat then mentioned that Karrahbooo has a $900,000 debt to his label. Afterward, the Quality Control rhymer leaked his reference track to Karrahbooo's 2023 On The Radar Freestyle , suggesting that she didn't pen the lyrics.

Karrahbooo Claps Back at Lil Yachty's Claims About Writing Her Lyrics

On Aug. 23, Karrahbooo went on her Instagram Story to clap back at Yachty by sharing three songs she claimed to write and highlighted their streaming counts.

"Running Late," boasted over 7 million streams, "Where Yo Daddy," garnered 3 million streams and the On the Radar Concrete Cypher freestyle hit nearly 3 million streams.

Karrahbooo captioned the image, "put it on yo kid i ain't these songs [M]iles[.] Stop da cap and leave me out ur internet shenanigans [tears of joy emoji]."

She continued: "Stop bullying me big dawg [tears of joy emoji] i never said nothing u letting random fans get in yo head man up."

During her performance at the Dig in Day Festival in Chicago on Aug. 24, Karrahbooo suggested that Yachty's ghostwriting claims were false.

"Who ain't write it, who ain't write it," she rapped during her performance in the video below.

Karrahbooo Claps Back at Lil Yachty After He Claims That She Doesn’t Write Her Own Rhymes

Lil Yachty Crashes Out On Karrahbooo & Mitch In Explosive IG Live Rant: Unpacking The Beef

Lil Yachty Visits Somewhere Nowhere NYC

Lil Yachty ’s Concrete Boys crew might not be as solid as he thought. That's especially the case after the rapper hopped on Instagram Live on Thursday night to air out his associates and signees. Despite pledging to stay off the internet for the remainder of the year, Yachty is still keeping tabs on social media narratives, whether or not they are true.

In the late hours of Thursday night, Lil Yachty went on a full-blown rant on Instagram Live where he aired out Karrahbooo for alleged comments she made about her split from Concrete Boys to a Red Lobster employee. Sounds crazy, right? Unfortunately, it didn’t end there as Yachty shifted his fury toward his best friend and A Safe Space co-host Mitch for not defending him against a random Twitter user claiming that the Atlanta rapper is a bad friend. A lot unravelled over a few hours so here’s everything you need to know about the beef so far.

Karrahbooo’s Departure From Concrete Boys

Before we delve into last night’s shenanigans, it’s important to highlight the beginning of this issue. In late July, fans speculated that Karrahbooo left the crew after fans found that she unfollowed her labelmates. Though it was initially rumors, the “Poland” star confirmed that she was, in fact, not a part of the collective anymore. “I'ma say this sh*t one time," Yachty said on Instagram Live. "We have split ways with Karrah as far as this Concrete sh*t. I have nothing to say. Nothing bad to say, nothing negative to say about Karrah. I wish her the best in her career. That's that. ... I don't have anything really bad to say or anything good to say. We just split, you know?”

Friction On The Timeline

It turns out that Yachty had plenty of negative things to say that were weighing on his chest. He just needed something minor to trigger the emotions that had been bottled up. The issues with Karrahbooo seemingly took a turn for the worse after an alleged Red Lobster employee claimed that Karrah pulled up to the restaurant when she was asked about leaving Concrete.

“Bro she walked in my job (red lobster) to order biscuits and I asked her why she left and she immediately corrected me and said I didn’t leave they kicked me out,” user @C_Staxxz wrote . “Saying they were really mean to her and bullying her a lot.” The user then added her own speculation to the mix, writing, “She seemed really hurt behind ts tbh like they really did her dirty and i believe its because her name was the biggest behind yachty if we being real I only started listening to him again because of her. They’re haters and i told her she’ll do just fine without them. F*ck em.” She also added a photo with Karrahbooo to corroborate that the rapper did pull up to Red Lobster.

Mind you, Karrahbooo herself didn’t mention anything on the Internet, and much of the tweet was primarily speculation. Plus, no one can really verify whether Karrah said these things. Ultimately, there’s clearly tension between the two, and neither particularly wanted to spill into the public eye.

The Mitch Situation Unfolds

Just a day before this tweet regarding Karrah emerged, A Safe Space released a new episode alongside Key Glock who witnessed Yachty violating his co-host , Mitch. In a clip that circulated across X/Twitter, Yachty took credit for Mitch’s success, going as far as claiming his co-host wouldn’t have anything going in life it weren’t for him. Glock kept mum throughout the segment. However, a fan clipped that part of the episode and wrote, “Lil Yachty disrespecting his friend in front of Key Glock.” At the time of writing, the clip gained 9.7M views while a repost of the clip siding with Mitch garnered 901K.

“Mitch. Lil Yachty is not your homie. There’s a time and place to have these conversations. Not on a podcast in front of millions of people to dissect and observe. This is lame as f*ck,” the tweet read. “Don’t do favors for people and then hold it over their head. That’s foul as f*ck.”

Lil Yachty Pulls Receipts On Karrahbooo

Yachty laid it all out during his Instagram Live last night, beginning with Karrahbooo, who he claimed was verbally abusive, entitled, and lacked any rap skills His explosive rant initially denied claims that she was bullied before pivoting over to her catalog of music, which he said he wrote entirely and even provided receipts. “I slowed the beat down, I put 808s specifically on your verse so when it got to your part and the beat dropped, everyone would be like, ‘this girl is the craziest one,” he said in reference to her debut freestyle on On The Radar . He later shared the reference track to back his claim.

“I wrote every f*cking verse you've done… I dressed you. I dressed all five of y'all n***as bro. I dressed five n***as every time we stepped out the house. I put an outfit on everybody. I put eight carats of earrings on everybody ear. I put three chains on all y'all neck,” he continued. “I changed your mother f*cking life and you are here lying, talking about some: 'We bully you'... That shit got me f*cked up, bro. You got me f*cked up, bro. You disrespectful, bro. You talk to people crazy. You tell people that they are nothing. You tell people you're going to spit on them. You tell people they poor and you talk to my f*cking label crazy. You claim I was stealing money.” He also alleged that she put Concrete $900K in the hole and he never recouped on his investment.

Mitch Catches Strays

Quite frankly, this aspect of the entire rant didn’t paint Yachty in the best light. Once again, the powers of social media broke Yachty completely as he bashed Mitch for failing to address random social media users criticizing him. In fact, Yachty’s emotions completely took control of him to the point where he decided to cancel their podcast abruptly. First, he explained that Mitch approached him to do a podcast, which Yachty obliged, in order to help his co-host and friend build a platform.

“I ain't want to do no motherf*cking podcast n***a, I'm a f*cking rapper... I put $400,000 in Mitch pocket,” he said. “I ain’t f*ckin’ with Mitch, bro. I been sleep all day, I wake up to this crazy sh*t. I say, ‘Mitch, how the f*ck you ain’t go on the internet and tell these folks that we playin’, bruh?’” According to Boat, Mitch downplayed the situation, allegedly claiming, “It’s Twitter, bruh. You know how they is.” Yachty then cussed out Mitch for not defending him on the Internet against strangers and subsequently decided to cancel the podcast. “All I do is help people, bruh. I don’t get nothing from none of this sh*t,” Yachty added.

Mitch Clears The Air

In a series of tweets, Mitch finally addressed the narrative surrounding his relationship with Boat. “please don’t let that clip misguide you it doesn’t represent me and yachty’s friendship at all we joke around pretty harsh sometimes too much fr sometimes but irl it’s nothing but respect and love i can’t even get on here and act like it’s not,” he said.

Later, he made it clear that he has always had his own thing going on, even before meeting Lil Yachty. “i ain’t nobody lil bro never been check my history i had stats before i met bro and got even more now, all i ever wanted to do was just focus on the music and being involved in the culture in a positive way i hope none of this hinders that,” he wrote.

Lil Yachty Clashes With Mitch’s Ex/Cousin?

Though it seemed like the dust had settled, a new party entered the chat: Mitch’s supposed ex, Camille. Sharing a voice note to social media, she slammed Yachty for his alleged treatment of Mitch over the years. “Like, I been telllin’ Mitch you’re a bogus ass n***a. I been sayin’ that sh*t ‘cause you are. You are a bogus ass n***a,” she said. Then, she threatened to pull out receipts backing up everything she said.

In response, Yachty quickly tweeted and deleted a voice note refuting her claims . While Camille claimed that Mitch took on a managerial role for Yachty and often had to be in meetings, Yachty said that his co-host had been lying to her the whole time. He went on to say that Mitch only used Camille for a place to stay before revealing that she was, in fact, the cousin that Mitch claimed to have slept with during an episode of A Safe Space podcast. She later fired back on Twitter Spaces.

Lil Yachty Has All-Time Crash Out Session Over Karrahbooo & ‘A Safe Place’ Co-Host Mitch

In case you were living under a rock or just woke up from coma, last night Lil Yachty had a public meltdown on Instagram Live over his former artist Karrahbooo and his podcast co-host and friend Mitch.

First, a clip of his podcast A Safe Place went around of him, Mitch, and Key Glock having a discussion about trying to understand why some want what others have when things got awkward. “Some people gotta eat, gotta feed they family, however the case may be,” Yachty said. “That’s when the militant part comes into play because sometimes, unfortunately, don’t wanna put in work and just want what you have. And that’s a whole different conversation because I ain’t been rich forever.” Adding, “I done been broke before, so who am I to tell this n—a not to go do what you gotta do.

Mitch disagreed and said you can give them different advice.” However, Yachty then replied, “Like what? You ain’t never had a job. What you gonna tell a n—a to get a job?” The Atlanta rapper then brought up what Mitch would be doing with his life if Yachty wasn’t around and all Key Glock could do was sit there in silence.

Naturally, Rap Twitter had a field day with said clip and criticized Yachty for being a bad friend. Boat addressed the viral clip during his IG Live session and stated he started the podcast to help his friend and said he was going to end it because Mitch wouldn’t defend him on social media. “I aint want to do no motherf—king podcast, n—a, I’m a f—king rapper.”

Mitch then took to X to clear the air, suggesting him and Yachty joke around and are often brutally honest with each other.

As for Karrahbooo, a waitress at Red Lobster set fire to this whole night. X user @C_Staxxz claimed the former Concrete Boy member walked into the restaurant chain to buy some Cheddar Bay Biscuits said she was kicked out of the group after being asked why she left. The user also claimed Karrahbooo told her that “they were really mean to her and bullying her a lot.”

A fan who met KARRAHBOOO claims she said she was "kicked out" of Concrete Boys and bullied within the group pic.twitter.com/NDmuYN467Q — Kurrco (@Kurrco) August 22, 2024

Those two now-deleted tweets bothered Yachty so much, he decided to hop on Live and finally address the situation. He responded by saying, “Tell people how you verbally abuse people. Don’t get on here to make it seem like niggas kicked you out… bullying you? Bro, go ‘head and tell people how you talk to people… You talk to people like they’re small, like they’re beneath you.”

He then claimed that he wrote all of her verses and styled her and the other members of the Concrete Boys. “I wrote every f—king verse you’ve done,” he said. “I dressed you. I dressed all five of y’all n—as, bro. I dressed five n—as every time we stepped out the house. I put an outfit on everybody. I put eight carat earrings in everybody ear. I put three chains on all y’all neck.”

Adding, “We bought a Cartier watch. I gave you that chrome Rolex, bro. You was waiting tables… What are we talking about, n—a? I changed your motherf—king life and you are here lying, talking about some, ‘We bully you’… That sh—t got me f—ked up, bro. You got me f—ked up, bro. You disrespectful, bro. You talk to people crazy. You tell people that they are nothing. You tell people you’re going to spit on them. You tell people they poor and you talk to my f—king label crazy. You claim I was stealing money from you. Stealing money from you how? You ain’t made no money.”

He continued, “This the problem with you new artists. Y’all get poppin’ online and then you become more popular than your actual music. You $900,000 in the whole and I got every f—king receipt.” Boat then brought up her viral On the Radar freestyle and said he was trying to make her pop off and it worked. “I slowed the beat down, I put 808s specifically on your verse so when it got to your part and the beat dropped, everyone would be like, ‘This girl is the craziest one.’”

For whatever reason, Boat finds himself in these situations and even went as far as to claim he was going to stop talking on the Internet . “I’m not doing no more talkin’,” Yachty said on Instagram Live last month. “I don’t got s—t else to say. I’m gone off this internet s—t. I think I’m gone for the rest of the year. I swear to God. I ain’t got s—t else to say.

Karrahbooo has yet to respond.

Karrahbooo has broken her silence after Lil Yachty blasted her in a heated Instagram rant , claiming he had written all of the former Concrete Boys artist’s songs.

Despite previously hinting at an amicable split, Yachty lost it after a fan alleged Karrahbooo accused the group of bullying her and said they kicked her out.

Yachty also accused her of verbally abusing people and claimed she’s $900,000 in debt to him in a lengthy tirade. After putting her on blast, he leaked a supposed reference track for her viral On the Radar freestyle .

On Friday night (August 23) Karrrahbooo responded to Lil Yachty. While she didn’t deny he wrote for her, she insisted she penned some herself. She posted a screenshot of her Top. 3 most popular songs with the On the Radar freestyle in third position after “Running Late” racking up over seven million plays and “WHERE YO DADDY?” just over three million.

“put it on yo kid i ain’t write these songs miles,” Karrahbooo wrote, addressing Lil Yachty by her born name. “stop da cap and leave me out ur internet shenanigans [crying laughing emoji]. Referencing the viral rumor, she added, “stop bullying me big dawg [crying laughing emoji].”

Karrrahbooo denied the fan’s claims and told him to “man up” and stop believing rumors. “i never said nothing,” she insisted. “u letting random fans get in yo head.”

The rant was a far cry from his previous remarks concerning the split.

Mitch, Lil Yachty, Karrahbooo

Lil Yachty  recently went live and blasted his former artist Karrahbooo  and ex-podcast co-host, Mitch , for “disrespecting” him after he helped them.

Yachty first addressed rumors that Karrahboo was no longer part of Concrete Boys on Thursday (Aug. 22) via Instagram Live. “Don’t get on here and make a scene ‘bout ni**as kicked you out,” he said when addressing her exit from the label. He added that he also gave her money, jewelry, and served as her stylist.

Lil Yachty took to Instagram Live to accuse Karrahboo of being $900k in debt, claiming he was responsible for styling her and writing all of her music, while also alleging that she has been verbally abusive towards him. pic.twitter.com/yauC2WM0N4 — WooSupreme ?? (@WoobensSupreme) August 23, 2024

“I slowed the beat down, I put 808s specifically on your verse so when it got to your part and the beat dropped, everyone would be like, ‘This girl is the craziest one,’” he said about her freestyle and career. “I wrote every f**king verse you’ve done. The “Poland” rapper also called out Mitch and claimed the only reason he started the podcast aside from his rap career was to “help him out.”

“I ain’t want to do no motherf**king podcast ni**a, I’m a motherf**king rapper,” he barked. “Got millions of dollars, I don’t need to talk to other rappers. I did the podcast for Mitch. I done put $400,000 in Mitch pocket. I ain’t f**king with Mitch.”

Boat’s sentiments came about after clips of their episode with Key Glock made rounds online. At one point, Yachty brought up Mitch not having a purpose in life prior to the podcast.

”Even if I was doing sh*t back then, I’m older now,” Mitch said during the episode when Yachty alleged that his co-host once planned to steal an expensive watch by brandishing a gun. ”[If] I was never in your life, what would you have been doing?” Yachty asked.

In his live, Yachty rhetorically asked why Mitch didn’t go online and say that they were “just playing” regarding his remarks in their Key Glock interview.

Karrahbooo Hits Back At Lil Yachty's Ghostwriting Claim: 'Stop Bullying Me'

Karrahbooo Hits Back At Lil Yachty's Ghostwriting Claim: 'Stop Bullying Me'

Karrahbooo has responded to Lil Yachty ‘s fiery rant in which he claimed that he wrote all of her raps.

The Atlanta rapper, who recently departed Yachty’s Concrete Boys collective, took to her Instagram Stories early on Saturday (August 24) to address Lil Boat’s accusation.

“[P]ut it on yo kid i ain’t write these songs miles,” she wrote, addressing Yachty by his government name while referencing the child he welcomed in 2021 . “[S]top da cap and leave me out ur internet shenanigans [crying face emoji].”

She added: “[S]top bullying me big dawg [crying face emoji] i never said nothing u letting random fans get in yo head man up.”

Karrahbooo also posted a screenshot of her most popular songs on Apple Music and their respective streams, showing her solo track “Running Late” outperforming her contributions to Concrete Boys’ recently released compilation It’s Us Vol. 1 .

Earlier this week, Lil Yachty unloaded on Karrahbooo on Instagram Live  after she allegedly claimed that she was “bullied” by Concrete Boys and ultimately kicked out out of the group.

He made a number of accusations about his former assistant turned artist, including that she was “verbally abusive” towards his bodyguard and that he wrote all of her raps, including her  viral  On the Radar  freestyle .

“I’m so sick and tired of helping people,” he said. “Gon’ ‘head and tell people how you verbally abuse people. How you told my security guard, ‘Oh, you work for me. You’re poor and we above you.’ You talk to people like you nothing! [Tell people] how you told me you gonna spin on me when you see me. Your brain is clinically imbalanced.”

Yachty also denied mistreating the 27-year-old rapper: “Karrah, I have never bullied you. I let you live at my house for free! I ain’t never done nothing but be nice, love you, brought you around every rapper. I brought you around everybody from [Lil] Baby to Drake.”

He added: “You don’t even do nothing! I wrote every fucking verse you’ve done. I dressed you. I gave you that chrome Rolex. You were waiting tables! I changed your muthafucking life! And you on here lying talking about some ‘we bully you’? That shit got me fucked up, bruh!

“I wrote that fucking verse when we went on  On the Radar . I put you last on purpose so everyone would say, ‘Who the fuck is that girl?’ … I got the fucking reference.”

Backing up his claim, Yachty shared an iPhone voice note of his reference for Karrahbooo’s show-stealing verse in the Concrete Boys cypher.

Lil Yachty also denied stealing money from Karrahbooo and in turn accused her of owing almost $1 million to his label, which is apparently how much has been invested into her career.

“You talked to my fucking label crazy. You claim I was stealing money from you. Stealing money from you how, n-gga? You ain’t made no money!” he said.

“You $900,000 in the whole and I got every fucking receipt, n-gga. And I’ma post it. I dare you [to] try me. And I’ll post how much money your fucking streams have made.”

He added: “Don’t go on the internet and act like I’m bullying you, bro. I’ve been nothing but loving and caring and paid your bills and gave you money and took you around the world. Nobody would even know who the fuck Karrahbooo was if it wasn’t for me.”

Yachty’s outburst was seemingly sparked by a social media post claiming that Karrahbooo had been bullied out of the Concrete Boys.

A restaurant employee claimed on X (formerly Twitter) to have been told by Karrah herself that she had been “kicked out” of the collective and that the group members were “bullying her a lot.”

Karrahbooo later made a vague reference to the drama on her own X account, quote tweeting her own post which said: “ion say too much cuz I know shit gone unfold on its own,” with the comment: “this aged well.”
