The coastal area called Budva Riviera near the town itself is the centre of tourism in Montenegro. The largest island of the southern part of the Adriatic Sea, called St Nicholas Island or “Hawaii of Budva” is also located in this area.

Can you rent a yacht in Budva – do I need a license?

Small boats (under a certain horsepower or length), electric boats, crewed yacht charters and gulet charters may not require a license. Larger boats or those with more powerful engines need a skipper’s license. Before you confirm your sailing trip to Budva, please send us a copy and we will check it for you. You need to have the original copies on board, so don’t forget to take them. To sail in Montenegro, one of the following qualifications is necessary : • ICC (International Certificate of Competence), International, with valid Navigational and VHF licenses Prerequisites: RYA “Day Skipper Course” or complete the ICC Assessment form to prove competence from previous experience. If you do not have a skipper license, it is also possible to rent a yacht with a skipper

Port of Budva

This protected port is also known as Dukley Marina Budva. It has 300 berths and can accommodate boats up to 40 metres in length. Port of Bar

It is the largest and most important port in Montenegro, in the southern part of the country. The place is also known as Luka Bar. The port consists of several sections: the port for scheduled vessels, the port for private vessels, commercial vessels and a military port. There are more than 600 berths for vessels up to 35 metres. The depth of the seabed is 8 metres. There is a restaurant on-site, WiFi and maintenance are available. The port of Herceg Novi

Slovenska plaža.

Slovenska Plaža is the largest beach in Budva with a length of 1, 600 metres. It is a pebbly beach with some sandy parts as well. They have lounges, changing rooms and showers, too. If you like doing sports, you can find basketball and volleyball courts on this shore segment, divided into several parts. You can even play bowling.

Mogren Beach

Mogren Beach, which is located app. 200 metres from the old city, consists of two pebbly parts that are connected by a tunnel. They offer lounges, and you can rent a paddleboat or a kayak on the 350-metre-long beach. The crystal clear water is perfect for scuba-diving. The remains of the Church of Saint Anthony of Padua can be found on the beach called Mogren II.

We spent four wonderful hours by the sea. Stevan took us to beautiful places that you can't reach by car. He and his wife swam with us in the sea and took us through a cave in the sea. They even took pictures and videos from us. His boat is super nice. He and his wife are very friendly. We really enjoyed the boat trip and it was a very successful day. We can recommend Stevan 100%. Many thanks to Stevan and his wife!

Stevan was an awesome Captain & guide for our 6 hour tour. He took us to the most amazing locations to swim in beautiful, clear water, and even swim through a cave and back out towards the boat. And for the more adventurous, he brought us to an area where you could cliff jump, if you dared! The scenery was breathtaking, and Stevan made sure to point out many interesting sights. We had time to swim in several different areas, eat our packed lunch on the spacious and comfortable boat, and take in all the beautiful views. It was so worth it, and we couldn't have picked a better boat or a more accommodating & experienced Captain. We recommend Stevan's boat to everyone & we hope to be back and do this exact same tour again one day!

Description of Stevan's motorboat

Motorboat tresfjord 26 100hp.

My friend Marko and I do this tour’s for past 6 years. Both of us are passionate sea lovers. Enthusiastic about watersports and like various water activities, such as fishing, windsurfing, snorkeling, and even a little bit of cliff jumping. We enjoy meeting new people and familiarizing myself with other cultures. Boat tour description— We start at marina Budva, heading west, behind the old town(which is beautiful from sea side), passing by couple of beautiful beaches (Mogren), we hit the blue lagoon, amazing cliff layers, than out more west to Jaz beach, Trsteno beach(if it’s not too early for swimming stop we can explore small cave), Ploce. Heading back to calypso cave, our first swimming stop. After cave exploring, we head to island saint Nicola, area for which it got its name Hawaii island, very beautiful secret beaches, one more cave, we can also try cliff jumping if you want. We can also make lunch break, either on the island in a restaurant or on a boat.. whatever you prefer. Heading south east, we are going to see some secret beaches(accessible only by boat), some small church island. On the way back highlight of the tour is saint Stefan island, king’s and queen’s beach,couple of fishing villages Przno, Kamenovo, Rafailovici, Becici and back to Budva marina. Depending upon season tour variations are possible. It’s best to message me for confirmation. Other things to note. We have two different boats type. One is open wooden teek boat with capacity of 11 guest. Second one is cabin cruser, spacious bow sundeck which is ideal for catching your summer tan, or shaded aft seats where you can sit back and enjoy the riding the waves! There is 3 public parking spaces 100 meters away from Marina, and supermarket Voli(closed on Sunday!) where you can by your self food and drinks for the tour.

This experience was definitely the highlight of our trip. Marko accompanied us throughout the entire day around the coastal line and lead us to the best places that we could enjoy the water, the caves and even advice for the restaurant we had at. He was kind, generous and friendly being at our disposal for anything we needed and even sharing stories about the country, the land around and engaging with us at a personal level. The boat was wonderful and spacious and even gave us an opportunity to listen to our own music through its sound system. Thank you for allowing us this wonderful day!

Best skipper ever! Speak English very well. He showed us all the secrets places and he joined us for swimming etc. Helping us on the best way. He really made the extra service for us. So this skipper and boat can we highly recommend. Full score from us.

Wonderful trip with Marko ! We had really nice stops. Top organisation and kindness. A lot of things seen : Blue Lagoon, Calypso cave, Sveti Nikola (super private spot for lunch !), old town of Budva and Sveti Stefan ! It was amazing. We really recommend to book your boat days with these guys cause they know very well all the best spots. The boat was perfect and super cosy : shadow and/or sun at every time !

Through and through a great experience! The boat is top-class! Super comfortable and with real flair. Marco, our Captain, was very welcoming and great at showing us around, including climbing rocks to show us where to jump from. Communication with Stevan was also great! Can highly recommend this boat!!

Very nice and friendly skipper Marco. Boat is quite old but in relatively good condition. Toilet was unfortunately out of work which was inconvenient. We absolutely enjoyed our day trip, so recommend this skipper

A most enjoyable day on the boat with Stevan. He was very welcoming and picked us up at the hotel dock. He brought drinks and had good music. Took us to beautiful sites on the water. My wife and I would highly recommend spending at least a half day on Stevan’s boat and let him sail you around.

Stefan was a wonderful captain! He was super responsive prior to the reservation and have everything we needed for the ride. He also took us to some great spots and made sure we had a great time. Would definitely recommend!

Captain Stevan and Captain Marko were so lovely! They contacted us very quickly after booking and helped us plan an itinerary and food plans for the day. They went out the day before and prepared food and drinks for the trip. The itinerary included trips to different beach's, a coastal tour, a trip the island and a couple of swim spots. The boat had Bluetooth speakers which C. Stevan and C. Marko helped us set up with our playlists. They were very fun and got involved with our party
