Monaco Yacht Show 2024: The Biggest, Boldest and Most Expensive Superyachts To See

Even in its 33rd year, Monaco Yacht Show continues to break its own milestones.

By Ellys Woodhouse and Toby Louch

The principality of Monaco has a calendar that’s filled with major events. While the financial benefits of this little tax haven ensure its population remains fairly well stocked with super-rich and socialites year-round, it’s these events that truly bring the masses. April calls for the tennis at The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters; in May it’s time for the Formula One Grand Prix ; June brings the world-famous car show Top Marques ; and summer draws to a close with perhaps the most glam of the bunch, the Monaco Yacht Show, which this year falls on September 25 – 28.

For those interested in gazing upon some of the finest yachts that can be found anywhere in the world, Monaco ’s Port Hercules is a pretty good spot year-round, but for the weekend of the Monaco Yacht Show, things enter a different league.

The Monaco Yacht Show is essentially a gathering of the global superyacht community. From owners to innovators, manufacturers and brokers, all head to the principality. Each year, builders and brokers present around 120 superyachts and 60 luxury tenders , with many of these reflecting current industry trends and revealing the potential future direction of the industry. These vessels boast an average length of around 160 ft, with a sprinkling of superyachts that top the 320 ft mark – with this year’s headliner clocking in at 400 ft.

Aside from the yachts themselves, visitors can expect countless designers improving yacht interiors and engineers working to ensure the industry becomes more sustainable. There’s sure to be a lot going on.

So ahead of this year’s event, Elite Traveler has looked into which yachts will be on display at Port Hercules and curated a list of some of the show’s unmissable vessels. So blow the dust off your Panama hat and add a few zeros to your credit card limit, because these are some of the biggest, boldest and most expensive boats attending the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show.

The undisputed biggest headline of this year’s show – in every sense of the word – Lürssen’s Kismet will be the largest yacht to go on display in Port Hercules. While the previous title holder was another from Lürssen, the 377.6-ft Ahpo, the Kismet takes its victory by a considerable mile, clocking in at 400 ft. Previously known as Project Jag, the Kisamet was handed over to owner Shahid Khan in May 2024, making it one of the show’s newest deliveries, too.

With exterior design by Nuvolari Lenard and naval architecture by Lürssen Yachts along with Reymond Langton Design working on the yacht’s interiors , Kismet is decked out with a helipad, beauty salon, indoor and outdoor cinema, dance floor and gym. Perhaps unsurprising, but all this makes Kisamet one of the most expensive yachts to charter , too, asking for €3m (approx. $3.4m) per week with Cecil Wright & Partners.

Delivered in 2019 by SilverYachts and refitted in 2024, the almost 280-ft, self-described ‘sports activity vessel’ Bold takes center stage at Monaco Yacht Show 2024. Designers Espen Øino created the superyacht’s striking, military-inspired exterior, creating a unique glass-enclosed loft on the upper deck that covers over 3,200 sq-ft of interior space. Meanwhile, Vain Interiors has created an opulent, New York-style loft, which is built to accommodate up to 12 overnight guests in eight luxurious staterooms and can carry up to 96 passengers while cruising.

With a a huge selection of water toys, a vast outdoor entertaining area with a bar and Teppanyaki grill, a cinema, an eight-person hot tub and a lounge surrounding a firepit, it’s no surprise that the Bold is a popular charter yacht, with Holl Robinson asking €875,000 ($972, 800) per week.

Following an extensive, three-year rebuild, the most expensive superyacht on the market has returned to Port Hercules for 2024, complete with a new look – and price tag, too, asking for €295m ($328m). The 344.5-ft Oceanco H3 superyacht has already picked up a handful of international awards for the new look and is expected to impress many fans at Monaco Yacht Show 2024.

In addition to the extra 10 meters that were added to the H3 ’s hull, the rebuild – from the likes of Reymond Langton Design, which worked on both the exterior and interior redesign, and the collaboration between Lateral Naval Architects and Oceanco on its naval architecture – also saw a pool deck, huge spa and wellness area and climate-controlled winter garden added to H3 ’s numerous amenities.

With its distinctive, shark-like exterior design, the 295-ft superyacht DAR will be hard not to miss at Monaco Yacht Show 2024. Built by Oceanco with exteriors designed by Luiz de Basto Design, the glossy black silhouette was inspired by the look of the hammerhead shark, with sinuous lines, wide set wing stations and a mast modeled after a dorsal fin.

Meanwhile, renowned Italy-based studio Nuvolari & Lenard has crafted swooping, contemporary interiors. DAR’s impressive features include a complete owner’s deck, complete with a private salon and jacuzzi, a wellness area, an impressive beach club, and two helipads for private use. Offering grandeur and complete privacy in equal doses, DAR can accommodate up to 14 guests in overnight accommodation, with separate living quarters to host as many as 31 crew members.

Despite only hitting the waters in June this year, the first wallywind110, Galma , is set to make its global debut at Monaco Yacht Show 2024. Measuring almost 110 ft, Galma ’s naval architecture comes from German studio judel/vrolijk & co while interior and exterior lines are designed by Wally in collaboration with Santa Maria Magnolfi. With a design that offers the comfort of a cruising yacht while maintaining the performance of a racing boat, Galma is characterized by the 22.6-ft telescopic keel and an all-carbon hull that has been painted in light metallic blue.

Other highlights of Galma include an 860-sq-ft full-beam cockpit with seating and dining for up to 15 people, as well as an open-plan raised saloon. Galma can accommodate up to eight guests overnight, with five crew members.

The 400-foot-long Kismet embarks on her maiden voyage in the Med

When it comes to exclusive enclaves, it’s pretty hard to compete with Monaco. The world’s elite flock to the tiny principality on the French Rivera for its sunny weather, sophisticated hotels and casinos, spectacular shopping and other financial reasons. They love to drive their fast cars down the famous roads leading into the city, and they love the speed and power of the legendary Monaco Grand Prix, too.

Monaco Yacht Show 20224

But as for the absolute pinnacle of luxury, it doesn’t get much better than owning a superyacht. And for the select few who happen to be shopping for a superyacht, there’s one place to see nearly all of the best, and biggest, and most technologically advanced yachts that money can buy (in addition to the tenders, and limousines, and private submarines, and luxury cars that go along with a superyacht) in one place: The Monaco Yacht Show , which starts next week.

Renaissance is massive

During the show, the docks of Monaco’s famous port are always filled with numerous yachts longer than 250 feet. But this year, the largest superyacht in the show is 400 feet long! And lots of superyachts in the 300-foot-long range will be there, too.

Apple’s Update Decision—Bad News Confirmed For Millions Of iPhone Users

Hackers force chrome users to hand over google passwords. here’s how, today’s eclipse of the full moon sets up a ‘ring of fire’ — what to know.

So, if you are lucky enough to be in Monaco later this month, I’ll see you there. But if you not, here’s a sneak peek at the five largest yachts that will be on display.

Kismet underway

What can I say about the 400-foot-long Kismet (which was built by Lürssen , features an exterior design by Nuvolari Lenard and an interior design by Reymond Langton Design and is available for charter with Cecil Wright ) that can help you understand just how big a 400-foot-long superyacht is? How about, since it measures 40 feet longer than an American football field (including the end zones), it’s safe to say that Kismet would only just barely fit inside the Jacksonville Jaguars EverBank Stadium. And that’s only if it could somehow be lowered from the top with a crane!

Kismet departs Lurssen shipyard in Germany

But since these photos and that explanation can’t really convey just how big Shaid Kahn ’s (the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars) new 400-foot-long superyacht is...The only way you’ll really be able to understand just how big the Jacksonville Jaguars owner’s new yacht is to see it for yourself in Monaco next week. It’s going to be largest yacht at the show and has raised the bar on what’s possible when it comes to designing, building, owning and chartering the largest yachts in the world.

The interior for the 400-foot-long Kismet that charters for $3 million per week

And since Kismet has already spent her first season in the Mediterranean and is available for charter through Cecil Wright (instead of being hidden away for a private owner like many yachts in this size range are), you, too, could experience what it’s like to live the superyacht life aboard one of the largest and most opulent vessels in the world.

The interior for the 400-foot-long Kismet that charters for $3 million per week is massive

So, if you looking for a charter yacht that costs roughly $3 million per week, the Monaco Yacht Show will be the place where you can see just how opulent Kismet (and theses other superyachts too) for yourself.

‘Renaissance’

The Bannenberg & Rowell-designed Renaissance that can accommodate 36 guests in 16 cabins is unlike ... [+] most other superyachts that are available to charter

The 367-foot-long, 7,200-gross ton, Bannenberg & Rowell -designed Renaissance is um, a “really big superyacht.” But what intrigues me the most is that unlike most superyachts that can only accommodate 12 guests per charter, Renaissance has been designed to swaddle 36 guests in superyacht luxury.

Renaissance underway

As you’d imagine, this yacht has it all. Open-air dining on five decks and a dining room with 18-foot-tall ceilings on the main deck. A sushi bar. A pizza oven by the huge pool. And of course, the requisite DJ stations when it’s time to party. There’s also a massive cinema that has seating 19 guests on lower deck—the perfect place to just Netflix-n-chill.

The all-new exterior lines of Oceanco H3

I’ve seen lots of superyacht designs come to life thanks to the hard work, dedication, perseverance and love that the large fraternity of superyacht designers, builders, artists and countless others pour into every spectacular new yacht that gets launched.

The rebuilt Oceanco H3 got a "rockstar" relaunch.

But I must admit, after seeing the 344-foot-long Oceanco -built (and rebuilt) H3 (first launched in 2000) emerge after an intensive 3-year-rebuild, I’m at a loss for words. I’m in awe, actually. Because after spending time at Oceanco with the project team and the owner's representative , I understand why this project is way more than just a refit.

It’s been transformed into a brand-new yacht with every modern comfort, but also retains its…soul.

The accommodations onboard the 334-foot-long H3 are spectacular

The sustainability impact of this project is also pretty awe-inspiring to me, too. According to Oceanco’s team of engineers, simply using an existing hull instead of building an brand-new one resulted in a 50% reduction of carbon emissions for the build. And since H3 has been repowered with smaller yet much more efficient engines (and her top speed has been reduced slightly), the yacht burns much less fuel than she previously did as well. Delivery time was reduced by 25% as well, and hopefully we see more projects take this approach in the future.

The video wall in the welcome area of the Ocean co H3 is innovative as well as attention grabbing.

Oceanco’s CEO Marcel Onkenhout adds, “To say that this has been a remarkable process is an understatement. The project has called for passion, dedication and extraordinary craftsmanship, with many involved in her creation now contributing to her recreation, including myself.” Contact Edmiston for more info.

Silver Yachts' BOLD is sure to get attention at this years Monaco Yacht Show

The 278-foot-long BOLD is the largest and most aggressive superyacht the Australian-based Silveryachts has ever built. Working in collaboration with yacht designer Espen Øino BOLD brings a whole new look to the explorer yacht category.

Amels Full Custom ENERGY will be at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show

The 255-foot-long Amels full-custom yacht ENERGY was created by exterior designer Espen Øino and interior designer Francois Zuretti to provide unapparelled luxury and access to the water.

The top deck’s helipad forward is a versatile space outside heliops—sun lounge, al fresco yoga studio with wraparound ocean views, a space for elevated entertainment served by the statement bar...assorted lounging areas and dayhead inside. The jacuzzi and sun pads aft allow guests to bask in the sun.

The bridge deck music lounge is designed for acoustic excellence. There is a Steinway baby grand piano and marble-topped bar. The entertainment continues in the open-air lounge aft, guests can find some privacy on the sofa forward of the bridge or keep going on the walkaround sidedecks to appreciate the anchorage from every possible vantage point.

Full-height windows in the the owner’s deck bedroom provide direct access to a private foredeck terrace, a hot tub and a mesmerizing marble fire pit. Contact Burgess for more info.

the-classic-motor-yacht-stalca-was-launched-in-1971-for-princess-grace-and-prince-ranier-of-monaco

Stalca: Princess Grace of Monaco’s family getaway yacht

What would you do to get away from it all if you were not only Hollywood’s highest-wattage star but Europe’s most glamorous princess as well? If everywhere you went you were followed both by court protocol and a slew of unruly paparazzi, how and where could you get some time alone with your family?

For Princess Grace of Monaco those questions seem to have been very pertinent. “I have many duties and obligations of state along with my husband,” she told a US newspaper in 1971, “but my family comes first.”

In the early 1970s she and her husband, Prince Rainier III, commissioned the Dutch shipyard Visch Holland to custom build them a 25 metre yacht. The couple had already owned a yacht together, the 44.5 metre Deo Juvante II (now named Grace ), a wedding gift from Aristotle Onassis that they used for their honeymoon and later sold. But now they were looking for something different.

While other royal families were cruising the seas in luxurious behemoths, with ranks of crew and extra cabins to fill with guests, turning heads everywhere they went, Stalca seemed like a conscious decision to pare down and hide in plain sight.

A 25 metre yacht was by no means small by the day’s standards, but it would have been too small for guests and would not have required many crew. Most of all, it would not have attracted unwanted attention.

Stalca , the Principality of Monaco’s royal yacht, was much like a place where Grace Kelly might have enjoyed a family vacation as a child growing up in Philadelphia — a lodge in the Adirondacks or a cabin in the Maine woods perhaps. With four guest cabins — a master suite , a VIP and two double bunk cabins — she had room for family, albeit a royal family, and little else; crew quarters could sleep two, everything and everyone else would have to stay ashore. Even the yacht’s name includes family and nothing else — it’s an acronym of the names Stephanie, Albert and Caroline.

Maybe the reason that there are so few photographs of Stalca today is because the Grimaldis’ discretion worked. There are just a

few paparazzi shots of Europe’s most beautiful royal children jumping off the side of the yacht for a swim while Grace watched over them, happy and unscripted. There are probably more Stalca summer memories pasted in the Grimaldi family photo albums than were ever splashed over the covers of gossip magazines and that, for a family such as theirs, was a feat.

Over the years Stalca has changed hands and homeport several times, but she has finally found a new family. “We were at the Palma Boat Show in 2015 and went out on a sea trial aboard Stalca ,” says Janet Wotherspoon, her new owner. “Our good friend Andrew Winch , who we met through our children, was also in Palma so we asked if he wanted to come along. At the time we were looking for a charter and Stalca was just that: a charter yacht that worked the Palma Bay area. But as we were motoring about it came out that she could be for sale too.”

“Stalca had just the sort of look that Iain [Janet’s husband] liked,” adds Winch . “She was the perfect fit for them, their two children and grandchild. They liked the history, the balance, the proportions and the strength of the boat.”

“We had a 23 metre fibreglass Fairline Squadron, so this was a big change,” Janet says. “Andrew was wonderful with advice throughout the project — suggestions on what he thought would be right.”

What everyone agreed on was that it was important not to be slaves to Stalca ’s history, not to over-emphasise that she was “royal” but to live on her as Grace would have done: comfortably, discreetly and, well, gracefully. As Janet says: “She’s our boat. I love the provenance, but I’m not going to harp on about it.”

After enjoying a first summer aboard in the Palma area, the Wotherspoons wanted to take Stalca beyond the Med, maybe even up to the west coast of Scotland. Because they wished to charter the yacht when they weren’t using her, they decided to bring her up to MCA safety standards.

But when they took the boat to STP in Palma and hauled her out of the water it became clear that the assessment done at the time of sale was a bit optimistic: as so often happens in these cases, Stalca ’s superyacht refit turned out to be a rebuild.

“STP has an open management model and does not dedicate itself directly to the refit, but to the management of the space and to the services of lifting, launching, standing and water and electricity, among others,” says STP manager Joan Rosselló.

“For this reason, we are positively valued by captains and boat owners who want to choose specific companies to carry out each job. In the case of Stalca , they contacted the best specialists in paint, bilges, plumbing, air conditioning, engines, electricity, furnishing and interiors for their refit. Customers appreciate our system because it allows them to control quality and their budget.”

For the Wotherspoons, this was certainly a hands-on project. “For us it was in for a penny, in for a pound. We wanted to do a comprehensive job and make Stalca a truly seaworthy yacht,” Janet says.

“To implement the MCA requirements for the yacht, handrails, stanchions and even the bow had to be at a higher position,” Winch says. “What I did was draw a small profile with a higher bulwark to show them what it could look like because Stalca looked rather weak on the bow. The higher bulwark gives it MCA safety, but it also makes for a very nice and discreet foredeck, where you can relax on loungers, catch the sunshine and no one can see you.”

Janet adds: “With baby gates at the head of the side passageway, the space is great for my grandson.” A testimony to Stalca ’s time spent in the Balearic Islands is a swim platform that was added aft. “We decided to keep it, but had to resolve some balance and sloshing problems. Now it’s just as it should be.”

With the hull stripped down to the metal and the new bow in place, Janet considered a different hull colour. “I was thinking of blue, but in the end stayed with the original off-white because Andrew advised against a darker colour. It’s just too hard to keep clean and free from saltwater deposits. We’re very happy with the painting and fairing work done by Rolling Stock in Palma.”

Interestingly, vintage photos show that Stalca ’s top deck was not a living space when she was a royal yacht: the only access to that area, used principally to stow a Zodiac-type tender and what looks like a Laser, was a steep companionway in the crew cabin. “We added a retractable stair from the main deck aft and made what used to be just a storage space with an outdoor helm station into a lovely sundeck. Actually, that’s where we spend most of our time when we’re aboard,” Janet says.

The Wotherspoons have a vintage photo of a young Prince Albert, hair tousled by the wind, using the top deck helm, and another one of Prince Rainier helming like an old salt, with a cigarette stuck in the corner of his mouth. The Wotherspoons kept the original Plexiglas box that protected the controls, but all the technology under it is new. After some careful calculation and reinforcing work, the tender and a launching crane are now stowed on the overhang that shades the aft guest cockpit.

As far as engines, generators, wiring and navigation equipment that had to be changed, it’s probably better not to ask. “The ambition from day one was to keep her as original as possible,” Janet says. “Where we could we reconditioned, but some things were just too far gone. We tried to recondition the windlass, but ended up with all new chains and anchors. But the ship’s bell, which proudly reads ‘ Stalca Monaco’, is original.”

While installing all new technology aboard a vintage yacht requires biting the bullet economically, it does have advantages: today you can get a lot more brain and power into a lot less space. The Wotherspoons have made the best, and at times the most unexpected, use of spaces that were freed up after outmoded technology was replaced.

The large teak box in the pilothouse that held the old SSB radio has now become a handy wine cellar. Large and cumbersome AC units have been removed to free up cabin space and smaller, more efficient units have been installed directly into existing furniture. A former AC cover in Stalca ’s main saloon now houses a retractable flatscreen TV and Sonos sound system. One old fashioned feature that the Wotherspoons kept, much to their captain’s delight, are the sturdy Caterpillar engines. “No electronics,” he says with a grin.

Once the hull, systems and wiring were up to standard, Janet could get started on the interiors. “When we bought Stalca she had been ‘done up’ on an awful royal theme — lots of gold and purple; tassels, chandeliers and things. I think that it’s very romantic that this yacht is almost 50, but I didn’t want to do it as a ‘princess yacht’ because I don’t think that the Grimaldis lived on it like that.

“The galley is huge and very comfortable. I can really see Grace in there, getting a meal ready herself. Even the pilothouse is big, the whole family could have been in there, helming, talking and watching the world go by. While there is a lot of me in the interior now, I tried to keep her as original as possible, respecting her patina.”

Keeping the patina meant sanding off layers of varnish that made banisters sticky, but waxing the teak panelling; cleaning up the portholes, but respecting their original finish; deciding that chrome, rather than brass, would be the metal finish of choice throughout. Stripping back the princess effect meant removing a bookcase, a formal dining area, and other fussy touches from the main saloon.

“ Stalca is a girl from the 1970s and so am I, so I decided to embrace it,” Janet says. “It was a wonderful time to be a teenager, after the barriers had been broken down in the 1960s and before computers. We really enjoyed the sense of freedom. I’m about the same age as Princess Caroline and for me she was always an icon of style.

“I remember looking at the magazines and seeing the outfits she wore; if she had a pair of wide white trousers, I’d go out and look for some too. She has always been so chic. It’s really nice to think that she was on this yacht, having fun.”

Janet began to research the best in 1970s style through the website No Repro, a mid-century furniture specialist. “Unfortunately for me, this stuff is very collectable these days,” she says with a laugh. She kept the original dining table in the aft guest cockpit “because we’re Scottish; we’re fine eating outdoors”.

The freed up main saloon space now has a rosewood and a chrome Pieff side table that has been fully adapted for marine use. “I got Andrew on this one. He loved it and maybe even copied it.” Other design pieces are Merrow Associates side tables, vintage Spanish leather armchairs and Italian leather couches.

Winch provided some ideas for colour themes, but Janet stuck with cream and (royal) blue with orange accents. Most fabrics are Jane Churchill. “What I wanted to do was to soften the interiors and make them more comfortable. The ceilings have Alcantara panels now and where I can I have lined table tops with leather. Little touches like reading lights beside the beds make a world of difference.”

The previous owner had plugged the Grace Kelly theme with movie posters and stills as artwork. “But I don’t think she would have wanted that,” Janet says. These have been replaced with prints by artists like Mirò, Chagall and Sir Terry Frost, who captured the spirit of the French Riviera in the 1970s. An Eileen Gray carpet in the main saloon is in a pattern called Blue Marine, also the name of a charity that both Prince Albert and Andrew Winch support.

But one piece in particular has captured Janet’s heart: a painting of Stalca done as a gift from the Wotherspoons’ gardener. “I’m sorry, but if we should ever sell this yacht, that painting is coming with us. It was such a kind gesture and it really means a lot to us.” But, like Grace, they will leave a legacy of care and respect, and a family haven fit for a princess.

MONACO’S FAMOUS HISTORIC YACHTS AND MORE

royal yachts monaco

The “Pacha III” looks almost “tiny” with its 36 meters, but the timeless beauty is still a place of honor in the harbor. After all, it belongs to the oldest sister of Prince Albert II, Princess Caroline . Although it is not one of the largest luxury yachts in the Principality of Monaco, it is often the center of interest. Dozens of paparazzi photos show Caroline of Hanover and her Casiraghi sprouts along with partners and friends on the legendary boat. Could she say, the 79-year-old “Pacha III” would have something to say. The yacht was bought just before the death of Caroline’s second husband, Stefano Casiraghi, son to a prominent Italian family, who died in an off-shore crash in October 1990 off the coast of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, near Monaco. Since then “Pacha III” has a special meaning for Princess Caroline and her family. In the year 2000 Stefano‘s mother, Fernanda Casiraghi-Biffi, was awarded the Foglio Italiano of Montecarlo – Foglio d’Oro Prize for her merits in charity events and as President of Engeco SAM, (now owned by Pizzarotti &C S.P.A.) a very important building company in the Principality. It is an habit to the Monaco family to have composed names yachts: Princes Rainier and Grace used to own “Stalca” St (ephanie) Al (bert) Ca (roline) a yacht, after naming Albercaro Alber (t) and Caro (line) their first yacht. Princess Stephanie named her yacht “Louine”, of course after her two first kids, Lou (is) and (Paul) ine . In the XIX and XX centuries, Prince Albert I , great-great-grandfather of Albert II, owned four, increasingly impressive research yachts: Hirondelle, Hirondelle I, Princess Alice and Princesse Alice I, named after his second beloved wife, the American-born Alice Heine , Duchess of Richelieu . Back to the Caroline and Stefano’s boat, previously she already had several names such as Briseis, Cardigrae, Priamar and Arlette II. The name “Pacha III” is made up of the initials of their three children Pierre, Andrea and Charlotte together. Pacha , means P (ierre) A (ndrea) Cha (rlotte). Also, it is a nice coincidence that the initial of Alexandra, the Caroline and Ernst August Hanover ‘s daughter, is the last letter of Pacha… Caroline had to add the “III” because there existed already a Pacha, Pacha I and a Pacha II. She was originally built in 1936 by the British shipyard Camper & Nicholson in Southampton. Her dark blue steel hull is slender 5.60 meters wide and has a draft of 2.50 meters. On board nine guests can be accommodated by seven crew members. The Grimaldi Clan uses the yacht regularly for trips in the Mediterranean. Now Caroline’s children are increasingly using the boat. So also recently newlewds Pierre Casiraghi and noblewoman Beatrice Borromeo .

Probably no other family of rulers of Europe can be seen under the media’s observation, like the Monegasque princes’ house. The millenarian history of the Grimaldis is at least as interesting as their current glamorous performances. Fast boats and beautiful women, international jet set, the Grimaldi Forum Congress Centre, the Prince’s committment to sustainability and once a year Formula 1 Grand Prix , the Rose and the Red Cross Gala, all this an much more is Monaco. But what would the dwarf state on the Côte d’Azur be without the Grimaldis? The princely family is probably the best PR machine for their country. Whether it’s the joy of the world or the catastrophe – (the Grimaldi Royal House, founded in 1297, is the oldest in Europe) the world is there live. The Grimaldis now land regularly on the covers of the boulevard and lifestyle media. The first attention is given to the first-born daughter Caroline (* 1957). The failure of their first and later annullated marriage to much older real estate agent Philippe Junot was also in the limelight as the accidental death of her second husband Stefano Casiraghi . Her last marriage to Ernst August Prinz of Hanover , to which she owes the title of Caroline Prinzessin from Hanover, always provides grateful material for the Yellow Press. Her younger sister, Stéphanie (* 1965), also contributed a lot to bringing the family back into the flash of lightning. Meanwhile the sisters have calmed down. Both engage in social projects; Caroline has three grandchildren, Stéphanie got three children from two marriages. HSH Albert II is now in the center of interest. No wonder he is a prince, he has a beautiful wife – and adorable twins.

Well, now I invite you to continue navigating the website and make a Graceful tour in the Galapagos with the Grace Yatch! Although M/Y Grace looks as young and chic today as the princess who honeymooned aboard her in the 1950s, she is nonetheless what the French call “une femme d’un certain age”: born in 1928, just before The Crash silenced the Roaring Twenties, she’s surrendered none of her youth’s glamour to the scars and wrinkles of a gallant life, including a stint chasing submarines during World War II. Combat aged on her, but benefactors like Aristotle Onassis, John Issa, and Prince Rainier ensured she was kept in the style to which she was accustomed. Now, as the M/Y Grace, she plies the waters of the Galapagos Islands, once again the elegant hostess to carefree, adventurous, perfect parties. M/Y Grace bore many names since Santiago Soulas, an Argentinean, commissioned her in Southampton. She weighed 298 tons, was 147 feet long, with a 23-foot beam and a draft of 12 feet. Soulas kept her four years before selling her to Zarch Couyoumbian, a Greek gentleman who named her Rion. In 1938, Sir George Tilley, chairman of the Prudential Insurance Co., acquired and enjoyed her until 1939, when the British conscripted her for the war effort. The Royal Navy – well-heeled in warships – needed smaller vessels for coastal patrols and snatched yachts from the Mediterranean and the Caribbean playgrounds. Rion found herself in a Tynemouth shipyard, stripped of her furnishings and paneling. She was strengthened to carry a 12-pound quick-firing gun on the forecastle, twin 40mm Oerlikons alongside the bridge and a rack on the stern holding eight 300 lb. depth charges. The corporate crew quarters were removed and hammock-hooks were welded to the deck. The forward suite became the operations and sonar room, another suite became the radio room, and the aft suite was an ammunition magazine. On October 21, 1939, she joined the Royal Navy with a crew of 20 under the command of Lt. T. Brydon, RNVR. She and 15 other vessels patrolled the entrances to the Solent and along the Isle of Wight: calm waters with the Germans focused on the skies.

lux-rion-grace-kelly-yacht

On patrol off the Nab Tower, however, a Dornier 110 returning from a bombing raid stafed Rion. She took some damage to her superstructure but suffered no casualties. On May 26, 1940, during Operation Dynamo, Rion was dispatched to the beaches of Dunkirk to evacuate the British Expeditionary Force. She made three 39-mile runs from Dunkirk to Dover, each time delivering 300 soldiers. On her third run, a near-miss from a bomb off her starboard bow killed 14 soldiers and one sailor and left shrapnel holes in the hull. Repaired in Portsmouth, she resumed duty in the channels from Portsmouth to Southampton. Rion’s finest hour came on November 22, 1940 with a daring nighttime capture. She was patrolling south of the Isle of Wight with HMS Shemara and HMS Valera. At 2:44 a.m. radar contact was obtained 10 miles southwest. Lt. Brydon ordered pursuit and discovered a German E-boat floundering in the swells, and Rion and Shemara opened fire from astern of the boat. The Germans returned small-arms fire but surrendered when a shell from Rion hit her bridge. Rion escorted the E-Boat to the Portsmouth Harbour naval base. Rion had not finished yet: she discovered a submarine on the night of March 23, 1941, and made numerous depth charge runs, but the large oil slick seen at dawn was insufficient evidence to confirm that Rion had destroyed the U-boat. By June 3rd, Rion’s port engine had been crippled, and she was decommissioned for three months before returning to duty: stripped of armaments and refitted with three-tier bunks and a red cross painted on her sides and upper deck, she became an annex to the Royal Navy Hospital. Here she remained until the war’s end, when she was rechristened HMS Noir. On October 1945 she was decommissioned and 17 months later she arrived at her original builders—Southampton’s Camper & Nicholson—for restoration. On September 16, 1947 she was returned to Sir George Tilley. Upon Sir George’s death in 1951, Aristotle Onassis ’ charter firm acquired HMS Noir and renamed her Arion. Two years later, the yacht became property of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Monaco as a wedding gift from Aristotle Onassis.

Over the course of the next 2 years the yacht was refitted to embark her new era as one of the most elegant and tasteful Galapagos Cruise yachts to sail the enchanted Galapagos Islands. The cabins are in the Sun Deck, the top-most deck of the yacht where one can find plenty of reclinable lounge chairs for sunbathing or for reading in the open air. The Albert Deck has 2 Master Suites and 2 Twin Suites with ocean-view windows. The captain’s bridge, the al-fresco lounge and al-fresco bar are also located on this deck. The Carolina Deck is fitted with 5 Premium Staterooms (double and twin) with ocean-view port-holes. The Monaco Deck is the main deck of the yacht with the interior dining room, the reception area and the main lounge. On the outside of this deck there are the al-fresco dining area, the stern resting area and the jacuzzi. The c5,500 ton Standart was commissioned by Tsar Alexander III in Copenhagen . It was launched in 1895 and was 116 meters long, which made it the largest yacht in the world at that time. Outfitted with ornate fixtures, including mahogany paneling, crystal chandeliers, and other amenities (including a stable with a cow to provide the imperial children with fresh milk) it was a floating palace for the Russian Imperial Family for their vacations in the Baltic Sea. The Russian Imperial Family was vacationing on the Standart during the summer of 1914, when they received the news of the aassassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, in Sarajevo, marking the start of World War I . After the Russian Revolution the ship was placed in drydock until 1936, when she was converted to a minelayer. During World War she played a significant role in the defence of Leningrad.

Royal Yachts That Are Beyond Lavish

Queen Elizabeth II Prince Edward on yacht

Royals seem to have it all — multiple palaces and vacation homes, fabulous wardrobes, and lavish vacations in exotic locations. Royal families in some countries even have their own yachts.

As of this writing, Denmark, Holland, Norway, Morocco, and Monaco have working royal yachts. However, the royals of numerous other countries, including Great Britain, have enjoyed excursions on royal yachts of their own, some with interesting and extensive histories. A  1976 New York Times article revealed that the British royal family's former 412-foot impeccably maintained yacht, which was constructed for the late Queen Elizabeth II, was "to an ordinary yacht what Buckingham Palace is to the house next door."

From the high-end finishes and opulence galore to the wealth of amenities to experience on board, it's clear that an excursion on a royal yacht is like none other. From working royal yachts to those which have since been sold or decommissioned and placed on display for all to enjoy, these past and present yachts are beyond luxe.

Her Majesty's Yacht Britannia of Great Britain

inside the Britannia

The 400-foot-long, John Brown-designed " former floating palace " of the late Queen Elizabeth II was commissioned by King George VI in 1952. Following her father's death and her coronation, Elizabeth set sail on Her Majesty's Yacht Britannia in 1954. The queen was fond of the ship, which she once described as "the one place where I can truly relax." During Britannia's 40-plus year operation, it hosted several royal honeymoons, including that of King Charles III (then Prince Charles) and Princess Diana, and provided transportation for official royal visits.

The luxurious yacht featured a drawing room, dining room, two sitting rooms, spacious crew accommodations, elevator, wine cellar, official reception room with fireplace and baby grand piano, and ornate staterooms with private bathrooms and dressing rooms.  The New York Times described the royal apartments as "[giving] way to the homey, patched elbow chic of an English country house, with flowered chintz slipcovers, family photographs, and rattan settees, interspersed with the occasional relic of Empire." And then there was the sun lounge, which was the queen's favorite space.

The Britannia's operating and maintenance costs eventually led to its decommissioning in 1997. These days, the yacht is stationed in Edinburgh for all to see — TripAdvisor gave the excursion the Travelers' Choice Best of the Best award in 2023.  Tickets include a self-guided audio tour and access to all five decks, which include the state apartments and sun lounge, while the Royal Deck Tearoom offers the opportunity to enjoy food and beverages aboard.

Azzam of Abu Dhabi

Azzam in the Cadiz harbor, 2021

Following its April 2013 launch, the Azzam was the world's largest private yacht at 180 meters (about 591 feet) — only trumped in 2019 by the REV Ocean. Built by Lürssen Yachts for Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the Abu Dhabi royal family, the Azzam's exterior was designed by Nauta, which aimed to make the vessel elegant, sleek, and fast — with a top speed of 33 knots. Nauta founder Mario Pedol described the four-year design process, said to have taken more than 4,000 workers at a cost of over $500 million, to Boat International as "challenging."

French designer Christophe Leoni was enlisted to bring classic French regal style to the ship's interior, including the finest crafted wood furniture veneered with mother-of-pearl inlays. The yacht's other unique features include 18 guest suites, a pool, a gym, and a practice space for golf.

The Azzam was built to accommodate 80 crew members and 36 guests and features a large main saloon, serving as the vessel's focal point. To ensure unobstructed views, it was designed without pillars and with windows extending the full height of the yacht. "It was quite a challenge to make this space with no pillars," Pedol admitted to the outlet, adding that the ceiling beams needed to be exactly 1 meter (about 3.3 feet) wide. And, to ensure the windows were completely stormproof, the thick glass was custom-engineered in Italy. Another cool feature? The saloon's chandelier was constructed to be quiet and avoid rattling, not an easy feat for a yacht.

Prince Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia

Prince AbdulAziz docked in Ibiza, 2016

The Saudi royal family owns the Prince Abdulaziz, a 147-meter (about 482-foot) superyacht — once the biggest yacht in the world. It was built in Denmark in 1984 and its exterior was designed by Maierform Maritime Technology GmbH. The Prince Abdulaziz was named after the son of the late Saudi Arabian King Fahd, who originally commissioned the yacht. The royal family uses the yacht both for official and recreational outings.

Renowned British interior designer David Hicks, known for his use of contrasting contemporary and classic design and bold use of color and lighting, led the interior design and decor of this luxurious yacht, which took over a year to finish. The ship's truly opulent decor features grand chandeliers, intricate mosaic flooring, and the use of blues and golds throughout. It's no wonder the extravagant yacht is valued at $100 million. Interestingly, the yacht is just one owned by the royal family.

Foners of Spain

Foners superyacht cruising

Foners, once known as Fortuna, is a motor yacht belonging to King Juan Carlos of Spain and accommodating up to eight guests and six crew members. The 45.5-meter (about 149-foot) yacht was built by Izar in 2000. At the time, it was known as the fastest superyacht in the world, reaching a speed of 65 knots. Donald L. Blount & Associates was responsible for the yacht's naval architecture. Studio Arch was enlisted for the exterior design, while the acclaimed Celeste Dell'Anna is credited with the interior design and decor.

Foners' interior highlights its large main saloon for dining and lounging, with its 46-inch TV and entertainment center. The interior's luxurious finishes include sycamore wood with stitched tan leather detailing. The four staterooms on board feature a luxurious primary suite, a VIP stateroom, and two twin-size staterooms, each equipped with an en-suite bath. A unique feature of the ship's design is that it's bulletproof, lined with Aramid fiber.

Back in 2013, the Spanish royal family decided to sell the yacht due to its high costs to maintain. However, the listing price has dropped multiple times over the years and, at least as of 2021, a buyer has not been found.

Her Majesty's Yacht Victoria and Albert II of Great Britain

Duchess of York inside Victoria and Albert II yacht

Her Majesty's Yacht Victoria and Albert II is a historic yacht that belonged to the British royals during the 19th century. It was built and launched in 1855 at the HM Dockyard in Pembroke, England. In 1868, this well-used and enjoyed yacht underwent an extensive renovation and continued its regular operations until 1901. It was eventually dismantled in 1904.

Per the  Royal Collection Trust , Queen Victoria wanted the yacht to feel like a "home from home." Instead of going for the more ornate look, she wanted the Victoria and Albert II to be simple yet grand. Prince Albert was also said to have been involved with the design. Some rooms boasted maple walls while the dining saloon featured luxe red carpeting and sat 18 people. The queen herself once wrote, "It is indeed a most magnificent and enormous vessel. One feels quite lost in here!"

Stalca of Monaco

Stalca, former Royal yacht of Monaco, cruising

If you're a fan of Grace Kelly , you'll love this one. In 1971, the Stalca was commissioned and given to the Grimaldi royal family of Monaco for Prince Rainier and Princess Grace to enjoy. They used the yacht for vacationing and entertaining both their high society and Hollywood friends. The Stalca was named after the couple's three children: Prince Albert and Princesses Caroline and Stephanie.

The 24.6-meter (about 81-foot) classic motor yacht was built by Visch Holland. Stalca's four cabins, which can sleep eight people, include a lavish primary suite with an en-suite bathroom, a VIP suite also with a private bath, and two twin cabins with a shared bathroom. The main saloon is a large open space with a formal dining room and a relaxing lounge.

Though lovingly maintained over the years, the Stalca underwent a renovation in 2011, followed by another extensive renovation in 2016, which included new wiring, plumbing, and paint as well as other updates, while ensuring the vessel's historic and elegant interior was preserved. In 2019, the Stalca was sold to an unnamed buyer after being listed for €1.1 million.

Pacha III of Monaco

Monaco royal family members aboard the Pacha III

The Pacha III, completed in 1936, is a luxurious motor yacht constructed of aluminum. It was built by Camper & Nicholsons and designed by Charles E. Nicholson. Jacques Grange, however, was responsible for the interior design, which consists of a deck made of teak and a hull of steel. The Pacha III can accommodate seven crew members and nine guests.

In 1990, the yacht was purchased by Princess Caroline of Monaco and her late husband Stefano Casiraghi, who tragically died in a boating accident not long after. Perhaps as a distraction from her grief, the princess decided to carry out the renovations she and Stefano had planned. The deck was rebuilt in aluminum, and 2-meter-long (about 7-foot) stabilizers were added to the hull. Inside, Caroline removed the living room fireplace and transformed the radio room into a bathroom.

The interior of the hull was brought back to its former glory with exquisite materials including oak and mahogany. Cured handrails were added as well as paneled ceilings and marine lamps for a Victorian feel, though bright and colorful fabrics were included for pops of color. The ship features multiple spaces including a large saloon with double doors, summer lounge, luxurious primary suite, galley, wardroom, and crew cabins. As of this writing, the Pacha III continues to be enjoyed by the Monaco royal family and is often seen sailing throughout the Mediterranean.

Royal superyachts: how kings and queens sail the sea.

  • Magisterial mega-yachts have ferried royals around the world
  • "Her Majesty's Yacht Britannia" is one of the most splendid examples
  • Others include yachts owned by the royal families of Dubai, Monaco and Norway

(CNN) -- Before luxury yachting was the preserve of Russian tycoons and Silicon Valley moguls, it was only the world's wealthiest royals who built palaces on the sea.

There have been and continue to be a fleet of imperial yachts used to transport royals, from Russian czars to princes of Monaco, in the opulent fashion to which they are accustomed.

"Britannia"

There are probably few finer examples of a regal leisure boat than "Her Majesty's Yacht (HMY) Britannia," built in 1953 for Britain's Queen Elizabeth II.

Now decommissioned and on display in Edinburgh, Scotland, the vast and lavishly designed " HMY Britannia " has sailed over one million miles during 44 years of service and in the course of 968 official royal visits.

Once described by Queen Elizabeth as "the one place where I can truly relax," the royal yacht, built to many of the queen's specifications, boasts huge dining rooms adorned with gifts and curiosities from around the world, including a whale rib found by her husband on a beach.

In addition, there's a sun lounge with furniture chosen by the queen and a garage built to house the royal Rolls-Royce.

Sir Winston Churchill, Boris Yeltsin, Rajiv Gandhi and Nelson Mandela are among the famous names who have joined the queen on board over the years, but "HMY Britannia" was also deployed for more private and romantic occasions.

As Kate and William add the finishing touches to their wedding plans , they may well feel a pang of regret that "Britannia" is no longer in service. Four royal honeymoons took place on board, including Prince Charles and Princess Diana's 16-day trip in the Mediterranean.

"Dubai"

Today, the undisputed champion of royal vessels belongs to Dubai's Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, whose $300 million mega-yacht is christened -- somewhat unimaginatively -- "Dubai."

Measuring 524 feet long, it's the world's second-largest yacht, eclipsed only by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich's suitably named "Eclipse."

Three elevators and one vast open glass stairway serve its multitude of decks which, aside from the gold-finished, jewel-encrusted VIP guestrooms and appropriately palatial master bedrooms, contain a squash room, spa, banquet hall and cinema. And did we mention the helicopter pad up top?

In keeping with the fantasy-flavored extravagance of "Dubai," the yacht is moored year-round on the artificial "Logo Island," situated next to the country's emblematic, man-made archipelago "Palm Islands" -- built from one billion cubic meters of rock and sand.

"Standart"

If you thought that Abramovich and his fellow billionaires were the first of their countrymen to build ultra-ostentatious pleasure boats, then think again.

The Russian imperial yacht "Standart," built according to the specifications of Emperor Alexander III and his son Nicholas, was the largest imperial yacht on the oceans during the late 19th and early 20th century.

Completed in 1895, the opulent vessel was 401 feet long -- about the length of a soccer pitch -- colossal even by today's immodest standards.

Indeed, "Standart" was a veritable floating palace, adorned with mahogany-paneled drawing rooms, formal salons with polished floors, brass fittings, crystal chandeliers and velvet drapes.

The czar's private study was furnished in dark leather and elegant wooden furniture, while the czarina's drawing room and boudoir were bedecked in her favorite English chintz. The imperial yacht even had its own chapel for the private use of the family.

However, Russia's largest royal yacht was also her last. After the revolution in 1917, the ship was stripped of all its elegance, renamed "Vosemnadtsate Martza" and refitted as a drab, gray minelayer for service in the Soviet Navy. The boat was scrapped at Tallinn in Estonia in 1963.

"M/Y Grace"

Decked out with a Jacuzzi, sea kayaks, snorkeling gear and wetsuits, "M/Y Grace" is one of the few specially tailored yachts fit to chart the delicate waters surrounding the Galapagos Islands.

The boat's regal past is only hinted at in its name. "M/Y Grace," as the vessel is now known, was once the royal yacht of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Monaco.

When American actress Grace Kelly married the prince of Monaco, the couple were extensively pictured honeymooning on this exquisite 147-foot-long yacht, given to them as a wedding gift by prominent Greek shipping merchant Aristotle Onassis.

The boat was captured on boundless newsreels as cameras and reporters followed Kelly on her last voyage from the United States to her new home in what was then styled "the wedding of the century." The couple left the day after the ceremony to cruise the coasts of Corsica and Sardinia.

"K/S Norge"

The K/S Norge is one of the last active royal yachts in Europe, belonging to Herald V, King of Norway.

Built in 1937 by Camper and Nicholson, the oldest leisure marine company in the world, the boat was originally owned by British aviation pioneer Sir Thomas Sopwith -- who had given it over to the UK's Royal Navy to serve as a convoy escort vessel during World War II.

In July 1947, the ship was purchased by the people of Norway as a present to the much beloved King Haakon VII for his 75th birthday. The royal yacht was renamed "Norge," the Norwegian word for Norway.

Still used today for state visits abroad, the classically shaped yacht is also employed as a base for the king when he competes in international yacht races.

Olympic Ceremony Fleet in Paris: Electric Boats on Seine

Paris Olympics - Seine

Kevin Desmond looks back at the Electric fleet on the Seine for Paris 2024.

This summer has seen some great rallies for electric boats: 34 e-boats cruised around the island of Venice, 65 e-boats teams competed at the Monaco Solar Energy Boat Challenge , then on 23 July, despite heavy rain, watched by 326,000 riverside spectators and viewed by 1.5 billion on their screens worldwide, 32 electric boats, some retrofitted some new, were part of a fleet of 85 boats which were transporting 205 flag-waving delegations of athletes, cruised for 6.3 km along the River Seine from Austerlitz Bridge to the Trocadéro for the unprecedented opening of the 33rd Olympic Games. Of course, the loud music and the cheering hid the silence of this fleet.

It was near the same Seine in 1881 that prolific French inventor Gustave Trouvé fitting his electric engine at the back of punt called Le Teléphone when he decided it would be more practical to detach the motor and take it home each night to tinker in his nearby workshop apartment. It was the invention of the outboard motor. The man who signed “Eureka” would have been very pleased to see these 32 e-boats cruising  one the same waters, near the Pont Royal Bridge which he had tested his pioneer skiff – 143 years later. All of these boats passed several luminous fountains, another Trouvé invention.

Paris Olympics 2024

Of the 20 retrofits the world watched the Mistinguett, the largest boat in the parade, and the longest and heaviest electric boat ever on the Seine, carried 250 athletes along the river. She is now powered by two Yamaha-Torqeedo Deep Blue100i electric motors and their new Deep Blue Battery 80. Then there were four 250-passenger vessels from the Vedettes de Paris, one of Paris’ most significant tour boat operators, located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. With names such as Trocadero, Etoile, Iéna, each has been retrofitted with two 10 kW motors powered by 11 tonnes of two 330 kwH lithium-fer-phosphate batteries, prepared by Actemium Marine (ex-Barillac Marine) of Concarneau. Their hulls were made more efficient at the Vanpraet Shipyard at  Villeneuve-la-Garenne and Ship-ST. They were joined by the brand new electric Montparnasse, with “100% Electrique” painted on its sides.

Then for the Bateaux-Mouches Company the 200ft (60m) Hirondelle. Then, sponsored by Total Energies, the Vedettes du Pont Neuf company’s 50-passenger Rocca II, built in 1962 and retrofitted with twin 55kW e-motors and two batteries of 30,5 kWh.. Then her sister ships: Gavroche, Sisley and Arletty are being retrofitted.  Backed by Europa Horizon 2024, the Vedettes du Pont Neuf are adding a 300 passenger electric.  These were joined by the sixty-year-old retrofitted Le Rhône, having made a lock-by-lock 700km cruise from the Côte d’Or Region. Then the barge Rive Gauche and the 11m 1936 Swedish CG Petterson timber cabin cruiser Farö, both retrofitted by Naviwatt.  Then among the ten newly-built boats chosen by the Paris JO 2024 Mobility Committee  FinX’s  a 12 metre boat, Imagine for the Olympic Parade. With its hull made from bio-sourced materials, it is powered by the company’s unique biomemetic motor inspired directly by dolphin swimming and the movements of their tail fins. The there was Green River Cruises solar-powered pontoon e-boat. Also among the fleet, two hydrogen powered 150-passenger NepRiver waterbuses, equipped with the RexH2 autonomy extender, then solar-electric Hyke, linked to the Eker Group in Fredrikstad, and Holland Shipyard’s autonomous electric ferry built using computer 3D-created components.

At the end of the parade, the silver-winged phantom horse and rider which, ridden by a female jockey (Morgane Suquart) “galloped” up the River Seine, impressing the entire world. This was powered by a 130 kW BellMarine electric engine powered by 18 batteries. Top speed 23 knots (43 kph) but Sequana (the ancient name for the Seine) had to be “reined in” to comply with the timing of the ceremony. Given the television coverage, this vessel was the most famous single-seat e-boat in the world…even if for only ten minutes!

Paris 2024

Behind this pioneer fleet, financed to the tune of €11 million by both France’s Environmental and Energy Management Agency (ADEME, and the Greater Paris Regional Authority  PAMI (Modernization and Innovation Assistance Plan), the River Seine has a much more ambitious long-term strategy: Haropa Port Project is bringing together the ports of Le Havre, Rouen and Pariswith VNF (France Waterways) to see the Seine’s entire fleet of passenger boats (150+) electric by 2037.

This follows the initiative taken by Amsterdam where by 2025, the Dutch city’s EPZ will impose a total ban on fossil-fuel boats for its fleet of 10,000 motorboats, including 7,000 pleasure craft around its 60 miles of canals. Only 100% green and hybrid vessels will be able to be registered. Oslo, similarly, is on its way to eliminating ICE engines by 2030.

The PolyBoatGlobal Challenge competition is proud to announce that all these e-boats in the Olympic Games Inaugural Cruise can count their historic journey up the Seine as one in the logbooks for our competition, to which they can accumulate a variety of other cruises during the next eight months. To join our growing fleet of competitors, please contact us by visiting polybotglobal.com, or by text on 0033 06 41427322, or by post: PolyBoatGlobal Challenge 2024-2025, 15 Chemin de Peybotte, 33360 Lignan de Bordeaux, France.
