Das exklusive Full-Service Yachtzentrum BALTIC BAY besticht durch seine großzügige Aufteilung und Architektur. Es befindet sich direkt neben dem Gewerbe- und Yachthafen Laboe. Der Yachthafen BALTIC BAY wird von einer durchgehenden Steinmole und durchgehenden Spundwänden geschützt. Es werden Liegeplatze bis 25 m angeboten. Die Wassertiefe reicht von 3,5 m bis 4,5 m. Separate Gastliegeplätze stehen ebenfalls zur Verfügung.
Neben den 345 Liegeplätzen ist hier ein exklusives Yachtzentrum entstanden, welches keine Wünsche offenlässt. Ein traumhaftes Restaurant mit Havanna Lounge, Kinderspielplatz, Grillplatz und ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten machen die neue Hafenpromenade zu einer attraktiven Flaniermeile mit hohem Freizeitwert. Das Yachtzentrum BALTIC BAY bietet ein „Komfort-Paket“ der Extraklasse. In der direkt am Wasser gelegenen 1.000 qm großen Verkaufshalle können Interessierte Segelboote und Motorboote neu oder gebraucht kaufen. Ersatz- und Zubehörteile sind hier auf Lager oder innerhalb von 24 Stunden vor Ort. Winterlagerplätze im Freien oder in der Halle, Boots- und Schiffbauarbeiten aller Art, Segelmacherei, Elektronikservice und Yachtlackierungen runden das Serviceangebot ab.
Beim Einlaufen ist auf die häufig verkehrenden Fördefähren, die im Gemeindehafen anlegen, zu achten.
Besondere Beachtung sollte man dem Ostseebad Laboe mit den vielfaltigen Einrichtungen für den Tourismus widmen. Neben Kurstrand, Meerwasserbad, vielfältiger Restaurant- und Kneipenszene lohnt sich auch der Besuch des Marineehrenmals und des U-Bootes U995 sowie der Landeshauptstadt Kiel, die bequem mit Bus oder Fähre erreicht werden kann. Der Ortskern von Laboe ist in fünf Gehminuten zu erreichen. Das idyllische Umland bietet viele interessante Ausflugs- und Aktivitätsmöglichkeiten, über die das Serviceteam gern individuell berät. Und mit den Leihfahrrädern kann man einfach selbst auf Erkundungstour gehen.

Das Yachtzentrum Baltic Bay als Bestandteil der traditionsreichen Schiffswerft Laboe gilt als führende Marina an der Kieler Förde. Wir besuchten den norddeutschen Full-Service-Fachbetrieb.
Die von Geschäftsführer Andreas Prey gemanagte Schiffswerft Laboe GmbH & Co. KG kann auf eine 254-jährige Historie verweisen. Seit den dokumentierten Anfängen in 1761 hat sich natürlich alles verändert. Heute ist der bestens frequentierte Premium-Hafen im Yachtzentrum Baltic Bay so etwas wie das Aushängeschild des weithin bekannten Unternehmens, das derzeit 50 Mitarbeiter beschäftigt. Die moderne Marina an der schleswig-holsteinischen Ostseeküste entstand zur Saison 2004. Sie bietet 350 Liegeplätze für Boote und Yachten von 5 bis 45 m Länge. Die bei Tag und Nacht anzulaufende Anlage ist ein idealer Startpunkt für ausgedehnte Urlaubstörns, wobei die wunderschöne Inselwelt der sogenannten »dänischen Südsee« fast vor der Haustür liegt und daher von vielen Skippern favorisiert wird. Die Schiffswerft Laboe bietet einen professionellen Bootsservice und umfassende Refit-Maßnahmen an. Neben privaten Kunden werden auch kommerzielle Auftraggeber bedient. Zum technischen Equipment gehören ein 60-Tonnen-Mobilkran und ein 200-Tonnen-Slip, der sämtliche Inspektions- und Instandsetzungsarbeiten sogar an wirklich »dicken Pötten« möglich macht. Vom Fachmann gewartet werden die Motorenfabrikate Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Yamaha, Mercury, MerCruiser, Honda und MAN. Zum weiteren Firmenrepertoire zählen die Bereiche Yachtelektronik und Bootslackierung. Neue Boote und Yachten, und zwar solche des französischen Herstellers Jeanneau und von Bella Boats aus Finnland, werden auf 900 m 2 Fläche in einem gläsernen Showroom präsentiert.
