LIONHEART yacht interior

The LIONHEART yacht features a lot of intricate details in its design that make her stand out from other comparable vessels on the market.

The interior of this yacht had exceptionally high-quality materials used in her construction, which gives her an elegant look and feel throughout all the different spaces on board.

The design house Green & Mingarelli is responsible for the luxurious interior design of LIONHEART.

The LIONHEART yacht can welcome 12 guests in her six cabins as well as a crew of 30 members of staff.

The interior of the yacht features a beach club, a beauty salon as well as expansive health and wellness facilities that include a spa, a hairdressing salon, a gym with a personal trainer, and a massage room with a masseur available at all hours.

The different floors of the yacht are connected by an elevator, and of course, the yacht has several pools, two of which are located on the upper decks.

A grand staircase is situated in the center of the yacht, which gives the vessel the likeness of a luxury hotel. The interior is furnished with exclusive furniture with dark wood and cream upholstery.

The yacht features several sizable chandeliers and other extravagant lighting fixtures. Everything about the interior of LIONHEART is lavish and luxurious, flaunting the US $150 Million price tag that this incredible vessel bears.

Specifications

The LIONHEART yacht is 90 meters (296 ft) long with a beam of 14.4 meters (47.3 ft) and a draft of 7.5 meters (24.9 ft). She was built by Benetti Yachts in Livorno, Italy, and launched in 2016.

At the time, LIONHEART was Benetti’s flagship and the largest yacht they had ever produced, overtaking NABILA (later TRUMP PRINCESS owned by Donald Trump).

Her gross tonnage lies at 2,990 GT, reaching cruising speeds of 15 knots and maximum speeds of 16 knots.

She is definitely not the fastest yacht in her size category, but her caterpillar engines are reliable and robust.

LIONHEART has an immense aluminum superstructure, and her hull was constructed from premium steel. Her traditional teak decks nicely contrast her white exterior.

The LIONHEART yacht is values at US $150 million and has annual running costs of US $10-$15 Million. She is not currently available for charter or for sale, although Green’s other yachts are.

The exterior of the LIONHEART yacht was designed by Stefano Natucci, who was also responsible for LIONESS V, Green’s previous yacht by Benetti.

Natucci has designed a total of 45 yachts, the LIONHEART yacht being the largest of his past projects.

The yacht is fitted with a sophisticated stabilizer system that ensures a comfortable experience for guests when at anchor or underway. She has a total of four decks featuring generous outdoor spaces.

The front of the bow has room for a small helipad where aircraft can land to pick up or drop off guests.

The top deck has an outdoor bar and jacuzzi, and behind the flybridge, there is a large pool.

All decks have luxurious outdoor seating with cream upholstery which is also the color of the crew uniforms aboard the LIONHEART yacht.

At the aft, the yacht has a sizable beach club and extendable swimming platform where water toys can be launched.

She also has several smaller, shaded decks with ample space for dining or parties. On both her port and starboard sides, Lionheart has small balcony decks which are attached to two of the suites.

Toys and equipment

The LIONHEART yacht carries several tenders, although her most memorable is a VanDutch 55 named Lioncub.

This tender has a black and white photograph of a lion painted on its side, making it stand out from traditional tenders and attracting yacht spotters.

LIONHEART also has a Pascoe Limousine, a Pascoe Beachlande, and a Pascoe Outboard Shuttle giving her passengers a wide selection of transportation options for shore leave or excursions.

Although exact details aren’t known, the yacht carries a large number of water toys, including jet skis and water bobs.

With a large swimming platform at the back of the vessel and an attached beach club with a lounge area, a luxury that might be desired is available to her guests.

Additional information

Construction for LIONHEART began in 2012 after the owner Green commissioned his third yacht from Benetti .

The two previous vessels were also named LIONHEART but have since been renamed LUMIERE and LIONESS V.

LUMIERE was built in 1999 and has a length of 49.9 meters (164 ft). Green sold her when he obtained LIONHEART V in 2006, and she is now available for charter.

LIONESS V has a length of 63.5 meters (208 ft) and was replaced by LIONHEART in 2016, 10 years after her launch.

Interestingly all three vessels can welcome the same number of guests, and only their amenities and length changed over the years.

LIONESS V is still owned by the Green family, more specifically Tina Green. This yacht is available for charter.

Of course, he turned it all around and became a billionaire who is based at a London hotel during the week and spends time at home with his family during weekends in Monaco. The tycoon also owns a £20 million Gulfstream G550 private jet and two other superyachts in addition to a fancy Monopoly set gifted by his wife featuring his own acquisitions. He bought British Home Stores (BHS) for £200 million in 2000, and subsequently spent £840 million to acquire the Arcadia Group in 2002. Arcadia became a private company and was delisted from the London Stock Exchange. He unsuccessfully sought to acquire Marks & Spencer in 1999 and 2004.

At its peak, Green's Arcadia Group owned the clothing retailers Topshop, Topman, Wallis, Evans, Burton, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins and Outfit. BHS was part of Arcadia from 2009 to 2015. Arcadia had more than 2,500 outlets in the UK, concessions in UK department stores such as Debenhams and Selfridges, and several hundred franchises in other countries. After high street sales fell in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Arcadia entered administration and ASOS acquired the Topshop, Topman and Miss Selfridge brands in 2021.

Philip Green docks in Spain: British tycoon’s €142m superyacht complete with helipad, jacuzzi and more drops anchor in Mallorca

philip green superyacht

CONTROVERSIAL British fashion tycoon Philip Green has docked in Mallorca.

He has brought his boat, Lionheart, dubbed ‘the most luxurious yacht in the world’ to Palma.

The 90-metre yacht worth an estimated €142m and complete with a jacuzzi, helipad and spa, is docked at Club de Mar.

Commissioned in 2012, the ship is the third yacht of millionaire Green.

Built by Benetti Yachts, the steel superstructure was completed in 2016 with a gym, swimming pool and even garage for cars.

It can sail at speeds of up to 17mph, or 15 knots.

The retail tycoon behind brands including Top shop, Miss Selfridge and Wallis is believed to be worth around £910 million.

His image was badly tarnished when he sold his ailing BHS chain for £1 to Dominic Chappell, a former Spanish-based bankrupt with no retail experience.

The company failed a year later with the loss of 11,000 jobs and a giant €600m pension fund was plundered and he was ordered to top it up with his own money.

A parliamentary probe concluded he had systematically milked BHS and described the hole in the pension fund as ‘the unacceptable face of capitalism’.

Sir Philip Green’s superyacht Lionheart renamed the BHS Destroyer by comedian Lee Nelson

While Sir Philip Green's superyacht may have been christened the somewhat noble "Lionheart", it's going under a new, much punchier name thanks to comedian Lee Nelson.

Nelson made his way over to the multi-million pound yacht, which was parked in Monaco, in a dinghy to attach his homemade sign that dubs the vessel the "BHS Destroyer".

"Good of Sir Philip Green to rename his £100m yacht to something more appropriate. I was glad to help," the comedian, who is notorious for stunts, tweeted after his low-key renaming ceremony.

Nelson, whose real name is Simon Brodkin, is the same stunt-loving comedian who previously threw a bundle of money at Sepp Blatter and shouted "Sepp, this is for North Korea in 2026".

Green's yacht has gained almost as much attention as its owner this summer, as it mooched around the Aegean Sea while the former BHS owner was busy being labelled "the unacceptable face of capitalism" .

BHS stores across the country are in the process of closing down after the chain collapsed into administration 13 months after being sold by Green, who has been described as running the company like a "medieval fiefdom" , to Dominic Chappell's Retail Acquisitions for £1.

Sir Philip Green's £100m yacht

Features on the 'floating palace' include a pool, a helipad, a bar and hot tubs

TOPSHOP tycoon and his wife Tina have been soaking up the Maltese sunshine on their “floating palace” Lionheart – which cost £4million more than he invested in BHS during his last five years in charge.

The 300ft vessel features a helipad, a pool and luxury cabins for 12 guests.

Sir Philip Green is relaxing on his new £100million superyacht, hundreds of miles away from MPs who are debating the demise of BHS

It is definitely the jewel in the crown of the Green’s collection – which already includes two other superyachts and two private jets.

Other features on the new boat, which Tina Green helped design, include a gym, spa, beauty salon, three lifts, hot tubs and outside bar.

Together with her business partner Pietro Mingarelli she has come up with a sumptuous interior so her and her friends can enjoy the life of luxury on the ocean waves.

No expense has been spared including, Mail Online reports, a gold statue of Buddha which was handcrafted in Jaipur, India, and then flown to the yacht.

A single armchair from their Monaco-based yacht and private jet interior design company, Green and Mingarelli, is said to cost £16,000 with cushions fetching up to £3,500 each.

Sir Philip Green's wife Tina is pictured sunning herself on the deck of their latest superyacht, the £100m Lionheart

And it is reported Mr Mingarelli had the yacht stewardesses going in to every guest cabin and having a shower before its maiden voyage – to test temperature controls and the water pressure.

The 40 crew of the yacht include the stewards and stewardesses, deck hands, first mate, bosun, engineers and the captain – with the tax-free wages starting at £2,500 a month for the deckhands, with food and lodging included.

Sir Philip and his wife are expected to remain on the yacht all summer, hundreds of miles away from where MPs are investigating BHS’s collapse.

A damning report into the retailer’s demise is expected to be published next week by the business and pensions committees.

The Topshop tycoon has written a letter to the business and pensions committees defending his ownership of the department store chain.

In the letter he outlines more than £400 million of investment into BHS and claims he pushed for a "sustainable solution" for the firm's troubled pension scheme.

He also says he offered to put up £5million to back up a rescue bid for BHS from billionaire Sports Direct owner Mike Ashley.

Sir Philip Green's yacht Lionheart is given a clean while it is docked in Malta

Sir Philip Green said: "The purchase would include buying all of the stock, for which Mr Ashley offered to pay £10 million.

"This amount was not acceptable to the administrators.

“It appeared that £15 million to close the deal would work and I therefore offered the additional £5 million to help the business be sold as a going concern."

But Work and Pensions Committee chairman Frank Field said: "Sir Philip is aware we are writing our report and is suddenly volunteering all manner of last-minute assistance."

In response, Sir Philip said: "Frank Field never ceases to surprise me. I was merely responding to the questions in a letter that he signed."

Sir Philip Green gave evidence on the collapse of BHS in the Houses of Parliament on June 15

A Westminster insider also told the Press Association: "The committee gets the feeling that Sir Philip, having tried to exert his control over the process, is now understanding that the report will be damning and is attempting to vindicate himself by sending over large swathes of documents."

Sir Philip's reputation has taken a battering since BHS collapsed in April, leaving behind a £571 million pension deficit and putting 11,000 jobs at risk.

He has come under fire for taking £400million in dividends from the company during the 15 years he owned it, before selling it to former bankrupt Dominic Chappell for £1.

The pictures also come as the first 20 BHS stores are set to close on Saturday.

Administrators say they will try to find temporary work in other BHS stores nearby for the 580 affected by the closures.

Last ditch efforts are being made to try and find a buyer for the remaining 143 stores.

Sir Philip Green’s super-yacht quarantined in Monaco over coronavirus outbreak

Lionheart_Monaco_2017

The $150 million and 90-meter-long super-yacht Lionheart has been docked at Monaco’s Port Hercule for over a week. Two crew members tested positive for coronavirus.

At the time, the purchase of this yacht raised public concern in the United Kingdom. The supe-yacht was bought by Green one year after the British tycoon sold BHS clothing stores to a little-known investor for £1.

Philip Green’s retail business has been hard-hit by the pandemic and in April it was announced that he had taken government money to pay for staff during the Coronavirus lockdown. Over the last 4 years, his wealth has drastically diminished. Forbes estimates that from $5,9 billion in 2016, Philip and Tina Green are now worth a “mere” $2,2 billion.

Coronavirus outbreak on board

According to Monaco Matin , 14 boats have now been asked to quarantine by Monaco’s government since the start of the pandemic . Their status is indicated by a yellow flag hoisted on the mast. The Lionheart question should be solved quickly enough. According to local media, all of the new tests conducted on the yacht’s crew at the beginning of the week came back negative.

Sir Philip Green is facing outrage at his silence over the collapse of the Arcadia Group, as staff, MPs and unions call on him to plug the company’s busted pension scheme with his own money.

One member of staff said the businessman should sell his £100m super-yacht in Monaco, where he has resided since 1998, to help the 13,000 employees who face redundancy.

A petition calling on the government’s Forfeiture Committee to strip Sir Philip of his knighthood — which he was granted in 2006 “for services to the retail industry” — has also been launched online, garnering more than 1,000 signatures at the time of writing.

Arcadia, which includes high street brands Topshop, Dorothy Perkins and Burton, crashed into administration on Monday. While the company searches for a buyer for all or parts of it, employees who enrolled in Arcadia pension schemes have an uncertain future.

If the company’s pension schemes go into the official rescue scheme, the Pension Protection Fund, staff could lose at least 10 per cent of what they were originally promised when they retire. The group’s pension scheme is operating under an estimated £350m deficit.

The business secretary, Alok Sharma, has written to the government’s Insolvency Service, asking it to look at the conduct of directors at Arcadia to see “whether their actions caused detriment to pension schemes”.

The Green family pledged on Wednesday to pay a previously promised £50m into the scheme within the next 10 days, nine months earlier than scheduled, but concerns remain that funding will fall short.

Debenhams set to shut putting 12,000 jobs at risk

One employee, speaking anonymously, told the BBC: “I have a pension, but I’m not sure what’s going to happen to it. I think we may be out of a job."

“I think [Philip Green] should sell his yacht and take money out of his own pocket to help his staff, to make sure people aren’t going to be without money for Christmas.”

On Wednesday, the shadow business secretary, Ed Miliband, said Sir Philip owes a “moral duty” to his staff to cover the shortfall in the Arcadia pension scheme and urged the government to ensure he protects employees’ pensions.

Mr Miliband told MPs in the Commons that Sir Philip’s family took the “largest dividend in history”, worth £1.2bn, from the company – over three times the size of the pensions deficit.

“The workers at Arcadia should not pay the price of Philip Green’s greed. So will the minister now publicly call for him to make good any shortfall in the pensions scheme and will he ensure that the Pensions Regulator takes all possible steps to make sure this happens?”

Business minister Paul Scully said those already in receipt of their pension will continue to be paid, while other members will receive “at least Pension Protection Fund compensation levels”.

Responding for the government, he said: “The independent Pensions Regulator has a range of powers to protect pensions schemes and it does work closely with those involved.”

We must learn lessons from the collapse of Arcadia

He added that ministers “stand ready” to support workers whose jobs are at risk because of the collapse of the Arcadia Group and Debenhams this week.

Sir Philip has used his own money to make good a pension scheme deficit in the past. In 2016, when BHS collapsed, he was forced to pay £363m into the company’s pension scheme after he sold it to Dominic Chappell for £1 in the previous year.

Last year, Lady Green, Sir Philip’s wife and the owner of Arcadia until it entered administration this week, committed to pumping £100m into the retail empire’s pensions scheme.

Two separate instalments of £25m have already been paid to the deficit-plagued scheme, and she confirmed on Wednesday that a further instalment of £50m which had been due in September 2021 would be brought forward to this month.

Labour MP Stephen Timms, head of the Work and Pensions Select Committee, said it was “unquestionably a moral case for the Green family to do the right thing”.

The prime minister, Boris Johnson, said the conduct of Arcadia directors would be examined, telling MPs on Wednesday that the government “will be doing everything we can to restore the high streets of this country”.

Sir Philip Green's £100m Superyacht Facing Seizure Under Plan To Help BHS Pensioners

Paul Waugh

Executive Editor, Politics, HuffPost UK

philip green superyacht

Sir Philip Green’s superyacht could be seized to pay the pensions of BHS workers under a radical new plan unveiled by MPs.

The Commons Work and Pensions Select Committee has sent a letter to The Pensions Regulator urging it to explore the option of “acquiring assets” owed by the former high street chain owner.

Green’s £100m yacht, ‘Lionheart’, was delivered to the tycoon earlier this year, just as BHS was about to go under – leaving 11,000 staff without jobs.

Protestors stage a stunt on the superyacht

The billionaire is believed to have offered £250m to help plug the BHS pensions deficit, around £100m less than the pensions watchdog has demanded.

A year before the high street chain collapse, Green sold it for £1 to former bankrupt Dominic Chappell.

Ahead of a grilling of Pensions Regulator Lesley Titcomb, the cross-party committee of MPs sent a letter on Tuesday setting out its latest plan to put the squeeze on Green.

Chairman Frank Field asked what powers the Regulator has to seize assets, other than cash, as part of any enforcement action seeking redress for the BHS pensioners.

He told HuffPost UK: “I very much hope The Pensions Regulator will make clear that, in trying to gain a favourable settlement for BHS pensioners, nothing is off the table.”

Field's letter

He asks whether the Regulator “can settle a Contribution Notice or Financial Support Direction through acquiring assets other than cash from a person or company from which payment is being sought”.

As well as his superyacht, Green’s homes and private jet could also be at risk if the regulator agrees, Field suggests.

Field and Green have clashed repeatedly over the BHS affair and MPs have voted to strip the tycoon of his knighthood if he fails to comply with demands.

Frank Field

Field has also stepped up the pressure on Green’s other pension liabilities by writing to the board of Arcadia – the firm he still runs and which includes Top Shop and Top Man - seeking information about its own recovery plan.

He claims that the Arcadia pension fund is also well over £200 million in deficit.

Sir Philip Green's £100 million superyacht has been quarantined in Monaco with his wife on board.

Two crewmen have tested positive aboard the 300ft Lionheart and its yellow flag has been flying in Port Hercules to signify the vessel bears the contagion.

Lady Tina Green, 71, told The Sun that she was on board the luxury boat, but did not reveal whether Sir Philip or their 29-year-old daughter Chloe were with her.

'After maintenance in Italy , the boat returned to Monaco. We were meant to go on a cruise with my family,' Lady Tina said.

'It was my responsibility to have the whole crew tested before leaving. We then discovered two cases - one asymptomatic and the other with a sore throat.

'The two have been confined to the cabin ever since. The rest and myself are on the boat. Everyone is well.'

Topshop boss Sir Philip – who furloughed 14,500 staff in April – was last spotted lounging on the yacht three weeks ago on the French Riviera.

The colossal boat, complete with helipad, pool, 15 crew cabins and room for 12 guests, is where the 68-year-old has conducted much of his business for the last two years.

When not at sea, Sir Philip lives at his £20million Roccabella penthouse in Monaco.

Johnson under pressure to add Greece to quarantine list

Boris Johnson last night came under pressure to put Greece on the UK's quarantine list after Scotland and Wales imposed restrictions on Britons returning from the holiday hotspot.

Nicola Sturgeon's government is mandating two weeks of self-isolation for anyone arriving from 4am on Thursday, while her Welsh counterpart Mark Drakeford has singled out the party island of Zante.

Around 190 passengers on a Tui Airways flight from Zante to Cardiff last night were asked to self-isolate for 14 days and - in the first example of state-sanctioned testing - they will be swabbed within 48 hours and again after eight days.

It comes after the Welsh Government said it was 'deeply concerned' over claims that 'inept' cabin crew aboard a Tui flight last week did nothing to stop passengers removing their masks. At least 16 have since tested positive.

Sir Philip has faced repeated calls to lose his knighthood over his involvement in a string of controversies.

Last year, a member of the House of Lords claimed the businessman had 'multiple' grievance claims against him. Green denied all the claims.

The allegations were revealed by Lord Hain, who last year used the cloak of parliamentary privilege to identify the Topshop boss as the person behind a legal injunction preventing the Daily Telegraph from publishing allegations of sexual harassment and racial abuse.

The claims, which Sir Philip 'categorically and wholly denied', included allegations that the retail tycoon dragged a woman around in a headlock and smashed a male employee's mobile phone.

It was also claimed that he mocked a male employee's dreadlocks and referred to him 'throwing spears in the jungle'.

Sir Philip also faced allegations that he groped a female executive, paying her more than £1million to stay quiet.

He has not been to Britain since the claims surfaced in October 2018 and has run the Arcadia Group, which owns Topshop, from Monaco.

Green enjoyed almost two decades of ruling the high street after lucrative takeovers of BHS in 2000 and Arcadia in 2002.

The collapse of BHS - less than a year after he sold it for £1 - plunged Green into even more controversy.

Arcadia was in trouble even before the current coronavirus crisis. It recorded an operating loss of £138m on turnover of £1.8bn in 2018.

Last year Arcadia carried out an insolvency procedure known as a company voluntary arrangement to cut rents and close some shops.

Philip Green lounges on £100m superyacht in Med as former BHS staff face first day on the dole

The former owner continues to sun himself on his luxury boat near the island of Capri while his daughter Chloe Green, 23, followed suit boarding a plush yacht in St Tropez

It's a miserable bank holiday for thousands of former BHS staff who are facing up to their first week out of work.

But the ex-owner of the company, once a high-street favourite, continues to enjoy himself with a relaxing jaunt on his £100m superyacht in the Med.

Sir Philip Green, accused by MP Frank Field of "plundering" the firm during his ownership, was pictured sunning himself on his plush boat 'Lionheart' near the island of Capri.

Meanwhile, his daughter Chloe Green, 23, followed suit as she boarded a yacht in St Tropez.

Far from dreaming of sun-drenched holidays in the Med, distraught BHS staff are wondering where the next pay cheque is coming from.

The closure news in April hit 11,000 jobs, 22,000 pensions and sparked a parliamentary inquiry.

Sunday was the final day of trading, bringing an end to 88 years of retail history.

Sir Philip, 64, and wife Lady Green will find out in weeks whether there will be a criminal probe into the collapse.

He owned BHS for 15 years before flogging it to serial bankrupt Dominic Chappell for £1 in 2015.

Labour MP Frank Field launched another scathing attack on Sir Philip, saying it was “a sad and bad day” as the shutters finally came down on 88 years of retail history at 22 remaining stores.

And he refused to back down on previous remarks the tycoon was “evil”.

He said: “I stand by that. It was a going concern, he was knighted for his services to retail and he turns out to be a sort of asset stripper.”

It crashed with an estimated £571million pension deficit, although experts say it could be nearer £700million.

As calls continued for Sir Philip, 64, to lose his knighthood, Mr Field added: “The key thing is how to undo the terrible damage he has inflicted on BHS workers and pensioners.

“It is that damage, the plundering of the firm, that I described as evil.”

philip green superyacht

In Glasgow, tearful staff hugged. And from Romford in Essex to Stoke, customers hunted for a last bargain.

In the Harrow store, David Gibson, 50, blasted Sir Philip for “just swanning off in his boat”.

He added: “I do think it’s his fault.” Grace McHenry, 56, was pleased with her bargains but said the the closure was “immoral”.

And another shopper said: “If Green was actually trying to do something, I might actually have some respect for him. I’m horrified.”

The Serious Fraud Office has confirmed it is reviewing paperwork relating to the collapse.

A spokesman said: “If the director considers there are reasonable grounds to suspect serious or complex fraud, he will open a criminal investigation.”

An MPs’ report last month said Sir Philip had “extracted hundreds of millions of pounds from BHS”.

Reports yesterday claimed Sir Philip wanted a deal in which the pensions regulator would drop a probe into the deficit, in return for him topping up the pension fund.

The tycoon’s spokesman was unavailable for comment.

Sir Philip Green Targeted By Comedian Lee Nelson In Yacht Prank

Lee Nelson sails up to the £100m vessel with a banner saying 'BHS Destroyer' and attaches it to the boat.

Wednesday 7 September 2016 11:46, UK

Sir Philip Green's newly built luxury superyacht Lionheart has been dubbed BHS Destroyer in a stunt by a British comedian.

Lee Nelson, who famously threw fake dollar bills at former FIFA president Sepp Blatter , has now targeted the billionaire peer.

Posting pictures of himself carrying out the stunt, Nelson tweeted: "Good of Sir Philip Green to rename his £100m yacht to something more appropriate. I was glad to help."

Sir Philip, former owner of the now-collapsed chain, is currently being investigated by regulators in a probe into BHS' vast pension deficit.

Lee Nelson

Last month, Sir Philip reacted angrily to attempts by Sky News to question him about the closure of BHS and the loss of thousands of jobs.

The former owner of the business was holidaying on his new yacht in the Greek islands.

Also in August, Sky News revealed he was seeking assurances regulators will abandon the probe if he makes a "voluntary" financial contribution to the retirement pots of thousands of the firm's former employees .

The precise sum Sir Philip will have to contribute remains subject to weeks or even months of further negotiations, although experts say it will be at least £300m based on talks so far.

The tycoon promised to "sort" the deficit when he appeared before MPs in June, although he has since been criticised by parliamentarians over the lack of visible progress.

Approximately 11,000 people have seen their jobs disappear as a result of the collapse, with Sir Philip shouldering much of the blame in a critical report published by MPs last month.

See All of Queen Mary of Denmark’s Looks From Her Recent Royal Tours

There’s always been something inherently regal about Queen Mary of Denmark , even dating back to the early days of her courtship with King Frederik X in the ’00s. Two decades later, Mary is the first Australian-born queen in the record books and has never put a foot wrong in her royal duties, a feat only fortified by her impeccable wardrobe choices .

Now, the new sovereigns have embarked on their first State Visit from Denmark since King Frederik X’s ascension. The tour is visiting Sweden, Norway, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland, respectively, throughout the course of spring and early summer, with the Royal Yacht Dannebrog functioning as the couple's residence throughout the course of the visits.

Queen Mary’s arsenal of looks for the Swedish and Norwegian legs of the tour saw her, as always, lean into timeless tailoring, feminine silhouettes, and rich jewel tones—with a distinct Scandinavian sensibility and a healthy rotation of reworn favorites. The more recent Greenlandic visit, however, has called for warmer and more practical ensembles, not to mention the opportunity to don traditional costume.

Here, we take a close-up look at each of the monarch's outfits throughout the tour.

The Danish state visit to Greenland

On day four of the Danish royal visit to Greenland, both King Frederik and Queen Mary wore traditional national outfits, with Her Royal Highness donning a national costume called kalaalissut.

The third day of the tour saw the royals arrive at the West Greenlandic village of Attu, where summer temperatures are, as always, chilly at best. To combat the cold, Queen Mary wore wide menswear-inspired Pirette trousers by beloved Danish brand Skall Studio, paired with a Polo Ralph Lauren cashmere cable-knit jumper in sea green. An oatmeal-hued poncho and hat completed the look, with a bear-shaped brooch to keep all in place.

Practicality was at the forefront of Queen Mary’s dressing from the outset of the Danish royal visit to Greenland. Delivering a lesson in layering, the monarch styled a wool gilet by Dutch brand Arma over a classic Uniqlo Ultra Light Down coat and roll-neck sweater—maintaining elegance through tone-on-tone color coordination.

For a day on the water sailing to Disko Bay in Qeqertarsuad, Queen Mary reached for another puffer in her rotation by Patagonia, which she paired with two cold-weather essentials: a Harkila jacket and Penelope Chilvers boots.

The Danish state visit to Oslo

The Danish royal couple’s second sun-dappled day in Oslo commenced with a government luncheon hosted by the Norwegian prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre in honor of the state visit at Akershus Castle. The occasion saw Queen Mary debut two never-before-seen garments: the Ariceli checked bouclé midi skirt from the resort 2024 collection of Emilia Wickstead—a British designer who remains a firm favorite amongst European and British royalty—and a light powder-blue blouse by Danish designer Jesper Hovring.

Simple and understated was Queen Mary’s style playbook for an architectural tour along the Oslo waterfront, highlighting how Danish and Norwegian solutions effectively unite nature, water, and the human experience. A masterclass in perfect proportions, the monarch wore a collarless button-down by Italian shirting brand Baguette, complemented by a pleated wraparound navy skirt. Her Gucci sunglasses, Chanel ballerinas, and Chloe crossbody bag enhanced the elegance of the ensemble.

Following the run of activities throughout the first day of the Oslo visit, Queen Mary and King Frederik X retreated to the Royal Yacht Danneborg, before remerging for the Gala Banquet hosted by the Norwegian royal couple. Queen Mary wore a bespoke lavender gown by Danish designer Birgit Hallstein that keen followers of royal fashion will recall her wearing at the Stockholm wedding of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia in 2015. Subtle amendments were made for its latest outing: the appliqué embroidery was removed from the skirt and delicate swathes of matching sheer fabric were added across the neckline and sleeves. Grey satin Manolo Blahnik Hangisi 105 pumps and a suite of pearl and diamond bijoux—including the Danish Pearl Poire tiara—finished the look.

Before slipping into head-to-toe protective attire, Queen Mary II’s look was a vision of easy elegance to visit to MiNaLab, an open laboratory for students and researchers that forms part of the University of Oslo. The monarch paired her favorite wide-leg Chloé trousers with a crisp white shirt, an Anya Hindmarch Mortimer top handle bag, and Malone Souliers tan mules. A sweet detail was found at Queen Mary’s décolletage: an 18k gold necklace designed by Copenhagen-based jewelry label Halberstadt tipped with an ‘F’ for Frederik.

For the Danish royal cohort’s arrival to Oslo, Queen Mary was decked out in nautical blue and white tones that complemented the waterfront arrival to Honnørbryggen to meet King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway. Queen Mary’s entire look was a repeat of familiar and well-loved pieces from her wardrobe, from the white Ralph Lauren wool jacket, to the Erdem printed jacquard midi skirt and Max Mara Whitney bag. Her pearl and diamond earrings, wreathed with sapphires and rubies, were gifted to the monarch from Queen Margrethe II.

The Danish state visit to Stockholm

Queen Mary's patriotic penchant for creations by Danish designer Mark Kenly Domino Tan is no secret, and this bespoke white tweed dress—which she wore on the first day of the Stockholm visit for the welcoming ceremony—is one that we’ve previously seen on rotation in Queen Mary's wardrobe.

Arriving aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog to the sound of cannons from Kastellholmen and Skeppsholmen, the newly-crowned monarch layered up for the crisp late morning air with a navy shawl, complementing her matching bow-embellished hat by Jane Taylor, Gianvito Rossi pumps, and a clutch by Danish brand Quidam.

Queen Mary later switched out her headwear for the Nell barrette by the royal favorite Ellen Hunter, while her blue brooch—an heirloom from her mother-in-law Queen Margrethe—was a mainstay accent throughout the day.

Stepping out to attend the state banquet hosted by the Swedish king and queen in honor of their Danish guests, Queen Mary donned a striking beige and burgundy ensemble by Jesper Hovring for the formalities. 50-year-old Hovring is the Danish designer behind many of Queen Mary’s gowns, which she is known to repurpose for various events year after year.

Image may contain Mary Crown Princess of Denmark Person Clothing Hat Adult Wedding Accessories Bracelet and Jewelry

In this particular instance, the Queen wore for the first time a top from Hovring’s fall 2018 collection, together with the skirt, an existing piece in her wardrobe since 2017. Finishing the look with elegance, she wore the Danish Ruby Parure Tiara, earrings, necklace, brooch, and bracelet set.

For the second day of the Swedish State Visit, Queen Mary looked particularly regal as she wore a red dress by Copenhagen designer Birgit Hallstein, a beloved garment that the royal has worn on several occasions. This time, she styled it under a camel-hued Oscar de la Renta cape, completed with Anya Hundmarch's Mortimer top-handle bag and Gianvito Rossi red suede pumps. While her accessories were not Scandinavian in design, her jewels were. Queen Mary adorned some of her favorite pieces by Danish jewelry house Ole Lynggaard: the Winter Frost earrings in 18-karat yellow gold and diamonds, and the Copenhagen leaf brooch.

Image may contain Person Clothing Footwear Shoe Adult Accessories Bag Handbag Child High Heel Glasses and Walking

The final evening of the State Visit saw a reciprocal reception hosted in honor of the Swedish hosts aboard the Royal Yacht Danneborg. For the occasion, Queen Mary took a more understated route, calling on some past favorites, including Saloni’s floral Jacqui B dress, her purple Boss clutch, and Joseph’s Kido coat, its belt cinched at the waist. Once again, Queen Mary maintained a Danish DNA in her look through her choice of jewelry, opting for gold earrings from her existing collection of bijoux by Copenhagen-based designer Rebekka Notkin.
