Basic specs..

The hull is made of fibreglass. Generally, a hull made of fibreglass requires only a minimum of maintenance during the sailing season. And outside the sailing season, just bottom cleaning and perhaps anti-fouling painting once a year - a few hours of work, that's all.

The interior is like most other boats made of teak. Teak has the advantage of being naturally very oily and therefore water-repellent, which is suitable on boats.

Nord's helidecks

Nord is home to two helicopter landing pads allowing guests to come and go as they please in total privacy. The first can be found on the bridge deck aft with a retractable hangar that can concertina into the superstructure when not in use; a second larger helipad is positioned on the bow. 

Nord in the Indian Ocean

Nord has already racked up some serious mileage since her delivery in Feburary 2021. She departed Gibraltar in April and headed straight to the Caribbean to catch the last of the winter cruising season. After a brief stay back at the Lürssen shipyard she spent summer cruising the Mediterranean before heading down through the Suez Canal and into the Indian Ocean.

If her champagne-tinted hull wasn't enough to make this vessel stand out, its nameplate certainly makes sure people know Nord is in town. Its unusual flared bow starts to square off as it meets the foredeck, which allows for a nameplate to be emblazoned across the front (and it even lights up at night).

Nord on the move

Nord was pictured here on sea trials under her build name Project Opus. The North Sea is a rite of passage for superyachts leaving the Lürssen shipyard and Nord was no exception.

Designed by Italian design studio Nuvolari Lenard , Nord features a total of six decks, which can all be seen clearly here. Speaking about the superyacht, studio co-founder Dan Lenard previously described Nord as "a warship wearing a tuxedo". The yacht is specifically intended for long-range cruising and global exploration.

In some lights, Nord's distinct hull colour seems to turn to gold with turquoise LEDs illuminating her nameplates and accents of the superstructure.

Nord's aft name plate lights up as night falls, while bright lighting illuminates the decks. One of Nord's fleet of tenders, the largest of which measures 15 metres, can also be seen here moored to the stern of the yacht.

Sonderbau Pogge weiter optimiert

 Aktuell wurde mit der ersten Lage einer neuen Beschichtung für das Unterwasserschift begonnen. Außerdem wurde die Bilge von von Innen neu beschichtet und mehrfach lackiert und ein komplett neuer, nach Maß angefertigter Fäkalientank eingebaut.

Zusammen mit den Arbeiten aus dem Vorjahr, wie dem Einbau einer neue Maschine und neuer Batterien, steht Ihnen damit in unserem Gebrauchtmarkt ein ganz besonderes Schiff zur Verfügung.

Das besondere an dieser 9,5 m Kielyacht ist das man das Boot ohne Sondergenehmigung mit 3,5To Trailern kann. Wir denken das es in dieser Konfiguration kaum ein 2tes Boot in der Größe gibt!

Aber natürlich überzeugt die Pogge auch mit Ihren sehr guten Segeleigenschaften!

Pommersche Flunder

Da es als Werbeträger und Botschafter für die im Jahre 1834 gegründete Firma des Auftraggebers dienen sollte und sich vor allem auch segelunkundige Gäste wohl fühlen sollen, ist dieser Schiffstyp ideal geeignet. Durch eine Wasserlinie und die moderate Segelfläche krängt das Boot kaum und ist mit seinem gutmütigen Steuerverhalten und der Radsteuerung auch von Laien einfach zu bedienen.

Ziel des Projekts war nicht der museumhafte Nachbau dieses Schiffstyps, sondern ein Entwurf, der den Betrachter durch seine Ausstrahlung zu einer Zeitreise animiert und positiv begeistert.

Umbau LM16 zum Elektroboot - Finale

In den folgenden Bilder kann man sehen, wie der finale Ausbau und das Finish dieses wunderbaren Elektrobootes mit "schiffiger" Ansicht in dunklem marineblau und tollen Teak-Innenbereich ist.

Tringa: Unterstützung bei einem Sonderbau

Sonderbauten heisst nicht immer, das das Team von Fricke & Dannhus -HD Yachtbau ein komplettes Boot baut. Auch Teilarbeiten werden von uns für Eigner erstellt, die ihr neues Lieblingsschiff selber bauen wollen.

Ein Beispiel ist die Tringa, wo wir den Eigner nur beim Selbstbau unterstützt haben.

In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Eigner- der schon in der Vergangheit Kunde bei uns war- und dem Designer  Klaus Röder  von carpe diem yachdesign in Tutzing wurde die  J22 Vintage  als formschöner Daysailer entwickelt.  Dabei wurde auf dem Rumpf einer J22 ein klassischer Yachtaufbau integriert, ähnlich dem Aufbau bei einer  Hansa Jolle .

40qm Jollenkreuzer

Auch mit diesem Sonderbau, einem 40qm Jollenkreuzer hat sich ein Eigner nach Plänen von Klaus Röder von carpe diem yacht design seinem Traum vom persönlichen Traumschiff mit diesem formschönen und doch einzigartigen Holzboot erfüllt.

40qm Renn-Jollenkreuzer

Die "Schrexe" ist ein 40qm Renn-Jollenkreuzer von 10m Länge, 3,50m Breite und einem Tiefgang von 0,20-2,10m. Das Gewicht des Schiffes beträgt 1,5 t und die max. Segelfläche am Wind 63 qm.  Die Schrexe hat einen formverleimten  Holzrumpf mit Mahagoni-Furnier. Das Deck ist aus Teakholz.

HD Maritime specializes in managing, moving, and maintaining yachts for absentee owners. Our team consists of multiple USCG licensed captains with backgrounds in larger private and charter yachts. We can set up a safe, fun, and worry free program for you and your vessel. Our service area spans all of South Florida including Vero Beach, Fort Pierce, Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Naples, Fort Myers, and Cape Coral.  

Refit and Project Management

With over 30 years of boatyard experience, HD Maritime can make your yard period effortless. Let us evaluate your work list, gather estimates, offer guidance, and execute your projects. Our on-site management will assure a timely completion so you can get back on the water as soon as possible. We also offer new build management. Our team ensures the proper and prompt delivery of your yacht. We can also assist with pre-purchase surveys and consulting.

Yacht Management and Safety

Safety is the most important aspect of enjoying your yacht. Let our seasoned experts outfit your yacht with proper safety and medical gear suited to your cruising waters. We can provide vessel specific fire and safety plans. We also offer vessel documentation, flag state compliance support and customs assistance. Additionally, our team can arrange fuel bunkering, permanent or transient dockage and provisioning. We provide a US liaison for vessels traveling abroad. 

Yacht Deliveries and Transport

HD Maritime offers fully crewed yacht deliveries with USCG licensed captains and qualified crew. We offer relocation services for both power and sailing yachts including ocean crossings. We have experience loading and offloading yachts from bulk carriers. We also have captains available for sea trials and day trips. Our team has cruising experience in the Caribbean, Bahamas, US East Coast, Canadian Maritimes, Erie Canal, Great Lakes, Western Rivers, US West Coast, Pacific NW, South Pacific, New Zealand, Mediterranean, and the Panama Canal. 

Yacht Maintenance

With years of yacht engineering experience, HD Maritime will assemble a custom preventative maintenance schedule tailored to your vessel's mechanical needs. We'll compile a spare parts kit, complete tool kit, and create a daily/weekly/monthly/yearly maintenance manual. We offer mechanical, exterior, and interior monthly maintenance packages with per foot pricing! We can also arrange haul out services for yearly maintenance periods.

Owner Operator 

Get to know your boat! We offer vessel specific orientation to familiarize owner operators with the engine room, electronics, and various systems on board. We offer passage planning, weather forecasting, and customized itineraries so you can enjoy your yacht fully! Our full concierge service can make sure all of your needs are met wherever you plan to travel. We can also assemble a comprehensive hurricane plan specific to your vessel. 

Gelcoat Repairs

We offer gelcoat repairs from minor touch ups to major patches. We have a seasoned gelcoat expert on staff that is also a color matching wizard. If you're struggling to hide a blemish on your vessel, give us a call- we'll make it disappear!

Danielle Harangody

Danielle was born and raised in West Palm Beach, FL. She grew up around the ocean, surfing, snorkeling and boating. She became an ocean lifeguard after high school and worked on local yachts through college. She obtained her USCG 100 Ton license at the age of 22 and ran a fleet of charter yachts based in West Palm Beach. Danielle currently holds a USCG 200 Ton Master License and has been in the industry over 10 years. Her career has taken her all over the US East Coast, Great Lakes, Western Rivers, Bahamas, and the Caribbean. She has completed America's Great Loop multiple times.

Harold Moyer

Uscg 500/3000 ton master.

Harold grew up in Rock Hall, Maryland on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay. He took up sailing as a boy and eventually moved to St. Thomas at the age of 22. He started Caribbean Boatworks, a successful fiberglass company, in Yacht Haven Marina in Charlotte Amalie and began racing in regattas all over the Caribbean. Harold got his USCG 100 Ton license in 1998 and began running charter sailing yachts. Today, he holds a USCG 500 Ton Master Oceans license and has over 20 years of experience in the yachting industry. His career has taken him across the Atlantic 4 times and across the Pacific twice.

Jim Harangody

Hailing from the outskirts of Chicago, Capt. Jim found his love for the water around Lake Michigan. He obtained his first captains license over 40 years ago. Since then, his career has taken him all over North America, Great Lakes, Bahamas, and Caribbean. He has done the Great Loop numerous times. Capt. Jim is mechanically inclined and has worked most of his life in the construction industry as a general contractor. He is our go-to captain for deliveries with owners onboard and he is always more than happy to share his knowledge. Capt. Jim is head of our public relations and new client outreach. If you walk the docks of any South Florida or Bahamas marina with him, you'll realize that he has never met a stranger!  

Phil is originally from Detroit but moved to Baltimore as a young adult. He spent many years in the Caribbean and his yachting career has been aboard both sailing and power yachts. He has done multiple solo Atlantic crossings on his own boat in his spare time.

Matt Vaughn

Chef Matthew, a Florida native, was raised sailing, surfing, diving and fishing on the waters of the Gulf Coast. He holds a degree in culinary arts from the Florida Culinary Institute. After relocating to Hawaii in search of the perfect wave, it was on the island of Maui where Matthew was trained by the great chef’s of Pacific Rim cooking.

Later he discovered private yachts and has been traveling and taking in the world’s culinary wonders that he shares in his eclectic culinary style.
