Get to Know Stormalong Bay: The Yacht & Beach Club Pool Area
In my personal tally of how many times I’ve stayed at each Disney World resort, the clear winner, with more than 15 stays, is the Beach Club and Beach Club Villas . There are many hotels we love, but we continue to circle back to the Beach Club for two reasons: the proximity to Epcot and the rockin’ awesome pool situation. Stormalong Bay, the pool complex shared by the Yacht & Beach Club, is 3+ areas of fun, nearly a waterpark unto itself. If you’ve got water lovers in your party, Stormalong Bay may be reason enough to make the Yacht or Beach Club your Disney resort of choice. Here’s a tour.
As a first step, take a look at our general guide to the Disney World pools . This covers things like lifeguards (there are lots), floatation vests (they’re free), towels (take as many as you need), and water temperature (warm)!
Moving on to Stormalong Bay specifics, this is the map you’ll receive during check-in. You can see that Stormalong Bay (those amorphous blobs in the center) is neatly centered between the Yacht & Beach Clubs. All guests of those resorts are entitled to Stormalong Bay access, even those staying at the Beach Club Villas. It’s worth noting that Stormalong Bay access is strictly limited to use by Yacht & Beach guests, you will need to show a valid room key or have your MagicBand scanned for access. They’re quite strict about checking.
Now let’s zoom in a bit and take a look at an aerial view from Google Maps. I’ve added some labels so you can get oriented. All those red dots are lifeguard station umbrellas.
On the left of the aerial view, you’ll see a huge shallow sand area. The maximum depth here is about two feet, but most of the area is more shallow than that, making it the perfect place for younger kids to hang out. The bottom of the sand zone is, you guessed, sand. You’re not going to feel any hard cement under your feet. There are also sand “dunes” in places, mounds where you can sit and build sand castles. This is my perfect version of the beach for little ones, all the fun stuff, but none of the worries that they’ll get knocked over by a wave, complain about sticky seaweed, or cut their foot on a sharp shell. From ages two to ten, I would have to literally drag my daughters out of the sand area at the end of the day.
You’ll notice that many of the guests in the sand are using green buckets for their castle building. The buckets (new ones of course) are used as a serving container at the nearby Hurricane Hanna’s Grill . Rather than taking sandy buckets home, many choose to leave their buckets at Stormalong Bay, so there’s usually a supply available for anyone to use. If you want to add a bit more oomph to your structure, you can often find more elaborate sand toys available for sale in the gift shops at the Yacht & Beach Clubs.
Moving left across the map, you’ll see the “Lazy River.” This is a deep water zone (8+ feet) with an slow speed artificial current. If you wanted a heavy duty workout, you could try to swim against this current, but most guests grab a noodle or tube and drift along for a few laps. This is the very definition of relaxation.
Along the path of the lazy river, you’ll see an information booth. This used to be a merchandise sales location, but now it’s just a friendly cast member there to answer questions, tell you about the day’s activities, and lend out sports equipment.
Above the Lazy River is an open swim zone. There are waterfalls and two hot tubs (spas) in this area. Generally, this open swim zone is a bit more quiet than the shallow sand. This is where you’ll find many adults that want to cool off.
Just past the spas, you’ll find another set of restrooms, the Lafferty Place Arcade , the Ship Shape Health Club , and the Americana classic Beaches & Cream Soda Shop – home of the famous Kitchen Sink Sundae.
To burn off some calories, you may want to do some watersliding. There are two slides at Stormalong Bay. There are no particular age or height requirements for either slide, but riders do have to be able to go down on their own. No lap sitting is allow. Most guests on the junior slide will be about ages 2-9 and most guests on the large slide will be about 6-adult.
To access either slide, exit the main pool area and head toward the massive shipwreck – the area at the bottom of the Google map above. Along the way you’ll see a hair wrap stand and a pick-a-pearl kiosk. Both have limited hours but are generally open throughout the afternoon.
The junior slide is completely contained in the shipwreck zone…
But to get to the main slide exit point, you have to cross back to the main pool area.
In the same sub-pool as the slide exit, you’ll also find the whirlpool zone. This area has an artificial current turned up much stronger than the lazy river. You can do some quick spinning on your noodle here. It’s a particularly popular spot for middle grade boys.
I’ve given you a taste of Stormalong Bay, but even the photos don’t really do it justice. This is the perfect place to spend a non-park day, or days, during your vacation. And if you’ve got kids that love the water, it’s likely that they’ll remember Stormalong Bay as much, if not more, than any of the other attractions at Walt Disney World.
Have you stayed at the Yacht or Beach Club and enjoyed Stormalong Bay? What was your favorite part? Is staying at these resorts on your bucket list? Let us know in the comments below.

Good distribute Certainly. Thank you associated with discussing.
Thanks for the info, I haven’t been to this resort in years. With all resort guest given magic bands at this time, do they no longer give paper wristbands for the pool? I would think you would not want to swim with your magic band ha ha.
Oh, you can totally swim with your magic bands!
I LOVE BCV & it has been a dream of mine to stay there. Most times when we go to WDW, we rent DVC points. I made the mistake of not booking 11 months out & tried to book 7 months out. Unfortunately, there was no availability so we will be staying elsewhere. So, until next time… Thanks for the review – just makes me want to make sure that we book earlier next time 🙂
Stormalong Bay always tempts me to consider a Disney Resort booking more than any of the WDW locations. Normally we prefer to stay off property, mostly in villas, but, the whole boardwalk thing is pure Disney Magic at its very best. Setting aside the beauty and charm of the boardwalk’s entertainment, shops and restaurants, the mini water parks here are amazing. Sure, a stay here is pricier than many of the resorts, but guests in large groups can save on park tickets by spending a day or two ‘pool side’ at the Yacht & Beach Club. One of the hottest vacation planning questions on forums is about ‘how many parks can we visit in a week etc’. The answer of course is ‘not as many as you might think!’ The Disney Resort water parks are undoubtedly the perfect way to spend time away from the parks, recharge energy levels, save on tickets, without feeling as though you’ve wasted valuable vacation time.
Lovely article and much appreciated!! (We so much miss Brian Staron though) 🙁
One of my favorite parts of Stormalong Bay is the “sinking sands” feature- spots where the filtration system pulls the sandy bottom of the pool area (near the whirlpool) down through grates below. It’s a very unique quicksand feeling, which feels incredible on park-tired feet!

The Four Pools at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club (Photos, Hours, and Details)
When it comes to the pools at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts, you’ve got options. Four pools are available between the resorts. However, most guests will prefer the resort’s feature pool, Stormalong Bay. It’s no secret that we consider it the best hotel pool at Walt Disney World .
However, those wanting to enjoy a peaceful spot at the pool or take a quick swim near their room will want to be aware of the resort’s other options. For instance, you might have a day when you want to enjoy the pool and get laundry done simultaneously. Or you might wake up early one morning and have a few minutes to enjoy the quiet pool before the main pool opens. If so, you’ll have options.
Below, we’ll discuss each of the quiet and feature pools at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club. We’ll review their location, pool hours, and other amenities you’ll want to know beforehand.
Major Refurbishment Note: From January 2025 through June 2025, Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will be closed for routine maintenance. During daytime hours, guests may see or hear construction work. During this time, guests are welcome to swim at the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove leisure pools. (This was originally scheduled to end in May 2025.)
Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Pools
As mentioned above, Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club has four swimming pools. They are as follows:
Stormalong Bay
Dunes cove pool.
- Admiral’s Pool
We’ll preview each pool further below.
Pool Hours at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club
During our visit, pool hours at Stormalong Bay were between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. However, hours are subject to change. During the summer months until Labor Day, the hours are usually extended one hour until 11:00 p.m.
Quiet pool hours were posted during our last stay from 7:00 a.m. through 11:00 p.m. These pool hours are pretty consistent throughout the year. However, you’ll want to know that the quiet pools at Beach and Yacht Club do not have lifeguards or other attendants.
Are the Pools Heated?
Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club pools are heated to 82 degrees. So, in the event of cooler weather, they usually remain open. However, if the outside temperature drops to around 50 degrees or lower, the pools will close until warmer temperatures return.
Complimentary Towels and Life Jackets
Complimentary towels are provided at each pool at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club, so you can use the extra room in your suitcase for something else.
Life jackets are also provided at each resort pool. They come in a wide range of sizes.
Mobility Lifts
Pool lifts are available for guests with disabilities or limited mobility. Here is a photo of the lift at the Beach Club’s Tidal Pool.
Changing Areas
Each of the resort’s pools has a nearby restroom. However, Stormalong Bay has an area with dedicated showers, a room to change, toiletries, and towels. If you find this area busy, you can use the shower inside the resort’s gym. The gym is adjacent to the pool, and I don’t think most people know this extra set of showers exists.
Stormalong Bay is more of a water park than a pool. It’s so large it would be difficult to photograph in its entirety unless you had an aerial view.
Most guests (including my family) stay at Disney’s Beach or Yacht Club because of Stormalong Bay. We spend most of our days relaxing at the pool, but we do visit the parks for entertainment in the evenings.
Toward one end, a wading pool features a large sandbar in the center. Smaller children can spend hours digging in the sand and enjoying this pool area.
Another kiddie pool is available inside the shipwreck, across the walkway from Stormalong Bay. The ship also serves as the entrance to the pool’s water slide. The photo below shows where the tube slide begins at the top of the ship’s mast.
Stormalong Bay has three hot tubs scattered throughout the pool area.
Guests can take in scenic views of Disney’s Boardwalk across the lake from some places around the pool. Stormalong Bay has plenty of seating. But be warned, the good seats are often taken early. During our stay at the Yacht Club this summer, I waited in line for the pool to open each morning to get a table and chairs in the shade. Places in the shade are pretty limited.
Cabana rentals can be reserved up to 60 days in advance, but they sell out quickly. If you want to learn more, we have a review of renting a cabana at the Beach Club . We also have a complete guide for Stormalong Bay that includes photos and videos of every pool feature. If you plan to spend some time at this pool, it has some tips that will likely be useful.
Tidal Pool at Disney’s Beach Club
Disney’s Beach Club has two additional quiet pools. The Tidal Pool sits on the front side of Disney’s Beach Club. It is the smallest of the three quiet pools between the resorts. While this pool sits near the walkway to Epcot, a laundry room sits on one end, blocking the view. Rooms on the other three sides surround the pool.
To access this pool, take the main hallway off the resort’s lobby. Follow the signs that say pool, and after a few turns, you’ll reach a doorway leading out to the pool. You can’t miss it.
This pool is often the least busy of the three quiet pools. However, if you visit when the weather is warm, don’t be surprised to find a reasonable number of guests at all the pools.
A hot tub sits adjacent to the pool.
Here is the laundry room by the pool. We have a separate article with the locations for all the laundry rooms at Disney’s Beach Club .
Next, the Dunes Cove Pool is located near the back of the resort. This is the formal pool for the Beach Club Villas. The buildings in this wing are mint green compared to the blue of Disney’s Beach Club.
While the Dunes Cove Pool is exclusive to guests staying in the Beach Club Villas, resort guests can access it. However, this pool area will likely be out of the way and is often busy.
This pool was recently completely resurfaced. We stopped in on a chilly day to check out the updates. Everything looked fresh and new.
A hot tub sits behind the Dunes Cove Pool.
A foosball table and a life-size chess set are available.
Here are a few tables with chairs and loungers around the pool.
Admiral Pool at Disney’s Yacht Club
At Disney’s Yacht Club, guests have access to the Admiral Pool. If you take the hallway off the lobby and pass The Marketplace at Ale and Compass, it will dead end at doors that lead to the Admiral Pool. It’s a peaceful pool area surrounded by trees on one side.
This pool is a little off the beaten path. If your room doesn’t face it, you might not know it was there.
All the quiet pools have a maximum depth of 4’3″. However, Stormalong Bay has some areas that get as deep as 8′.
A hot tub is available on the far end of the pool.
A large laundry room sits at the back of the Yacht Club’s Admiral Pool. We have a post with specifics for laundry at Disney’s Yacht Club if you want to learn more.
Hurricane Hannas Waterside Bar and Grill
If you want to enjoy a meal or cocktail at the pool, you’ll have two options. You can order something and take it to the pool of your choice, or you can visit Stormalong Bay and order from the poolside bar and grill, Hurricane Hannas.
During busier times, servers wait on guests at the pool deck. However, this often takes a while because only a few servers wait on the entire pool area. On my last visit, a server left us a menu. It was over 30 minutes before he returned to our area. While it wasn’t his fault, if you want something quickly, you are probably better off ordering it at the location.
We like placing a mobile order at Ale and Compass and bringing it to the pool. The food is good quality and reasonably priced, and if you want something small, you can order something from the kids’ menu.
If you purchase a Rapid Fill mug during your stay, you should be aware that Hurricane Hannas has a beverage refill station. You can refill your mug at the pool.
Related: Rapid Fill Mugs at Disney’s Beach Club
Additionally, Beaches and Cream, an ice cream shop, sits immediately behind the pool area. They do not do mobile orders but have a walk-up window where guests can order various ice cream treats. If you want to dine here, you’ll need to get a reservation or join their walk-up list when available.
In addition to the pools, the Beach and Yacht Club have a variety of other recreational activities. The Beach Club has a sand volleyball court near the lobby entrance.
The Yacht Club has a tennis court next to the Admiral Pool. Both resorts share a fully equipped gym on the walkway behind Stormalong Bay.
Or you might prefer to lounge on the Beach while the children play in the sand.
Final Thoughts
We love all the pools at Disney’s Beach Club and Yacht Club. But it’s hard to deny that Stormalong Bay has a special place in our hearts. It’s going to be tough to beat!
On a side note, I would caution that some guests are overwhelmed by the large pool area. So, if you have children of an age where you’ll need to keep an eye on them at all times, you might not enjoy your pool time. When my niece was younger, we camped out at the sand bar pool. It’s more of a wading pool than anything. She was content to dig in the sand all day. So, I never had to worry about her wandering off into other pool areas.
That said, make sure to pack a good book (hopefully), find a spot in the full sun or shade, and relax the day away. Don’t forget the sunscreen! You might even enjoy a little pool-hopping between the resort’s quiet and feature pools throughout your trip. It’s your vacation, so enjoy what you like the most. These special times don’t come often enough for most of us.

- 3 enormous, lagoon-style leisure pools
- A sand-bottomed shallow play area

Where Is Stormalong Bay?
Stormalong Bay is located on the Yacht Club Resort property, and it’s shared by the Beach Club Resort & Villas that all reside on Crescent Lake.
If you’re in the area, you can’t miss the lighthouse decor and “Insta-worthy” winding bridges that compose the nearly 3-NFL-fields-long recreational area.
From here you can walk or cruise in a boat to either Epcot or Hollywood Studios.
You can also take the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios, which almost feels like sneaking in an extra ride as you gently sway in the gondolas overlooking some of the most beautiful stretches of central Florida.
When Is Stormalong Bay Open?
Wonderful news! Stormalong Bay is open daily, year-round so you can counteract the heat in the summer and relax in style with heated pools in the winter.
If you’re trying to decide between vacationing at Walt Disney World vs. Disneyland , you’ve probably already learned that California’s weather is generally superior to Florida’s weather.
But if you’re aiming to enjoy Stormalong Bay, it helps even the playing field.
Pool hours are generally between 10 am and 10 pm daily and weather-permitting (the lifeguards keep in touch with the Disney meteorologist who watches out for lightning), but hours can expand to 7:00 am-12:00 pm during the busiest times of the year.
Why Is Stormalong Bay Unique?
If you’ve read this far, you already know that Stormalong Bay is awesome.
Let’s sum up the most popular features of this beloved Disney resort hotel attraction, with the 7 reasons Stormalong Bay is the best pool at Walt Disney World:
- For a “pool,” it’s enormous . With this much room to welcome everyone, it would even make King Triton proud to vacation at Walt Disney World.
- It’s family-friendly . No one will be left out or left wanting (except perhaps when your vacation is over, of course).
- You won’t go hungry or thirsty . You won’t even need to head back to your room to change to pick up a scrumptious meal.
- It has a waterslide so epic that it almost makes you wonder why people don’t like walking the plank! (BTW, if waterslides are a must-have on your vacations, make sure you check out the AquaDuck on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy cruise ships; a Disney cruise might just need to be part of your next family travel destination.)
- You can get the royal treatment with a personal cabana . Reach out now and let us know here if this is something you’re interested in because cabanas can be reserved starting 60 days before your vacation and they don’t stay available for very long.
- Even though it’s outdoors, it’s open all day, all year long . If you’re staying at the Yacht Club or the Beach Club resorts or villas in Walt Disney World, you’ll have as much access as you want (weather and hours permitting) without paying extra for it.
- It’s gorgeous and relaxing. It really doesn’t get better than this. With the charm of conventional resort pools and the next-level service, decor, and variety of a high-level Disney property, you may enjoy Stormalong Bay as much as any day in a Disney park.
How Do You Get Access To Stormalong Bay?
Go ahead and spoil yourself.

5 Things to Know About Stormalong Bay at Walt Disney World’s Yacht and Beach Club
Walt Disney World , Walt Disney World Resorts | 0 comments
This article by Tanner Gamble
- SAND – This is more than a pool.It wouldn’t be the Yacht and Beach Club without sand. Bring some shovels and other items to make sandcastles on the island of sand in the middle of the pool. Water depth is very shallow in these areas so it’s great for kids (and the grown up kids too) to lie in the water and soak up some rays.
- SURPRISES – There are some surprises at Stormalong Bay as well. How about a fun game of water volleyball or basketball? There is also a whirlpool where you can spin around for hours. How about a lazy river inner tube ride? Now that’s relaxing! Be advised that the lazy river is deep at 8 feet so be sure to use a complementary life vest. The biggest surprise of all – spoiler alert – the bottom of the pool is sand! That’s a bonus treat for tired feet at the end of a Disney day.
After you cool off in the pool, you are steps away from Epcot and the Boardwalk area, a hidden gem for sure! What’s your families’ record on the Stormalong Bay slide at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club? Start planning your trip now and contact me today!

DisneyTips.com Your Guide To A Great Disney Vacation
Haven’t visited disney’s stormalong bay yet here’s what you’re missing out on.
Posted by: Victoria Mills September 14, 2022
When you think of a Disney water park , you’ll no doubt think of Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. While Blizzard Beach isn’t open to Guests at the moment, Typhoon Lagoon is a great place to go. The tropical oasis has something for everybody to enjoy:
- raft rides and water slides for the adventurers in your party
- Castaway Creek, a gorgeous lazy river that carries you around the entire Disney Park
- Typhoon Lagoon surf pool, that brings 6-feet tall waves to Guests every 90 seconds
- Ketchakiddee Creek for the younger Guests to have fun in
- a white-sanded beach area with plenty of sun loungers to relax on
- delicious dining locations to grab lunch, dinner, and fun snacks at
But did you know there’s another Disney water park that you’ll definitely want to visit?
Stormalong Bay
This exclusive Disney water park is just for the use of Disney’s Beach Club and Yacht Club Resorts Guests. It’s the largest of the Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools, covering 3 acres, holding 795,000 gallons of water, and located on the shores of Crescent Lake . It’s fair to say that it’s the best of all of the Disney Resort pools to enjoy, and a real highlight when staying at either of the Deluxe Resorts it is part of.
Credit: V Mills
Stormalong Bay has three entrances, making it easy for Guests to access from all areas of the Disney Resorts:
- the main entrance, which is outside of Beaches & Cream Soda Shop
- the path next to the main path to Disney’s Beach Club from the walkway around Crescent Lake
- near Hurricane Hannah’s Grill
Guests of Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts, as well as the Disney Vacation Club Beach Club Villas, are required to present their Magic Band or room key on Disney Genie to enter Stormalong Bay. This is to make sure that the area remains exclusively for Guests of the Resort hotels. Cast Members at the entrance will then issue each Guest with a wristband, to provide easy access should you choose to exit and re-enter later on in the day.
Plenty of Fun to Experience
Stormalong Bay has plenty to offer, that makes it the perfect place to relax after a day in the Disney theme parks, or maybe even before an evening in your favorite Disney Park, finished off with fireworks . There are plenty of sun loungers to relax on, and tables and chairs to sit at, and watch the World go by!
The huge pool area, features a sand-bottomed pool, making it a unique experience to Guests of Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts – you won’t find another Disney pool like it! Split into different sections, Guests need to explore the whole pool to find their favorite spot to enjoy the water.
Closest to Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you’ll find a life-sized shipwreck. Climb to the top of the mast to take a ride on a 230-foot-long waterslide right into Stormalong Bay. Just across from the waterslide exit, you’ll find a whirlpool, which makes for a great place to float, or take a little workout and swim against the current.
For Guests who enjoy a game of volleyball, be sure to join a side of the net, and play a game with fellow Guests. This area is also where the Pool Activities take place, hosted by Cast Members throughout the day.
Further round the pool area, towards Disney’s Yacht Club, take a plunge in one of the jacuzzis, whilst taking in the stunning views over Stormalong Bay and out towards Crescent Lake. There’s also plenty of space to swim, in the quieter areas of the water park.
If you really want to relax, then grab a tube and float along the lazy river. Located close to Hurricane Hannah’s Grill, the lazy river is the place to sit back in a tube, and let the water carry you. It doesn’t have the strongest current, but when you’re away on vacation, there’s no need to rush. Take care if you wish to swim around the lazy river, as this is where the water depth varies quite significantly, reaching to 8 feet in places.
You may be thinking, is there a beach in Stormalong Bay if it’s a sand-bottom pool? Well, you’re absolutely right! Located closest to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, you’ll find shallow waters, with its very own beach area. It’s the perfect place to build sandcastles whilst staying cool, and the very best Disney beach in the whole of Walt Disney World.
Need Some Shade?
You’ll find shade around Stormalong Bay throughout the day, but there’s also a pretty neat spot to retire to, especially if you’d rather not go in the water. Climb up to the deck area that sits atop of Hurricane Hanna’s Grill, to find more sun loungers, tables and chairs, and a pool table. Why not grab a drink from the bar to enjoy whilst playing pool, and enjoying the awesome views from this spot; watch the FriendShip Boats travel across Crescent Lake to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, whilst you’re waiting for your opponent to take their next shot.
Stormalong Bay is an awesome spot to enjoy, and a place to visit as a Disney Resort hotel Guest one day. Whilst you need to secure a hotel reservation at a Deluxe Resort to visit, Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts are beautiful Resort hotels to stay in during a Disney vacation. Not only do they offer access to a brilliant pool area, but they are ideally located to access EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and are home to incredible dining locations too, such as Yachtsman Steakhouse, Ale & Compass , and Cape May Cafe. Be sure to stop by sometime and take advantage of all that these Deluxe Disney Resorts have to offer to their Guests!

REVIEW: Should You Be SCARED of These NEW Disney Halloween Drinks? We Found Out!
By Jasmine Kocon Leave a Comment
We’re headed to Disney’s Beach Club Resort to try out some NEW spooky snacks!
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Disney is already celebrating Halloween, and we’re working our way around the resort trying all the new spooky treats! We taste-tested TONS of new items at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on the first party day of the year, but now we’re stopping by the Disney hotels to continue eating and drinking the Halloween specialties. Next on our list is Hurricane Hanna’s at Disney’s Beach Club!
Hurricane Hanna’s is located by Stormalong Bay, the pool shared between Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts . You’ll find some small snacks here along with tons of drink options.
Hurricane Hanna’s
This year, Hurricane Hanna’s has two specialty Halloween cocktails available — the NEW Seawitch Brew and the returning Doom-ela South African Margarita! These two drinks look pretty similar but have very different flavors.
Doom-ela South African Margarita and the Seawitch Brew
The Seawitch Brew is $16 and is made with Lunazul Reposado tequila, Cointreau liqueur, blackberry puree, and sour mix all topped with fresh blackberries.
Seawitch Brew
The Seawitch Brew is a pretty drink and the black rim salt is a cool touch ! But it’s mostly a sweet blackberry margarita with a bit of tartness from the sour mix. We enjoyed the drink, but it wasn’t anything too special and we’ve had better drinks for the price point.
It’s a pretty drink!
The Doom-ela South African Margarita is $17 and is made with Patrón Silver Tequila, Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon, Cointreau Liqueur, Triple Sec Liqueur, sour mix, lime juice, Black Cyprus salt, and lime.
Doom-ela South African Margarita
This one is definitely leaning toward the sour side in the initial sip, but it leaves a bit of a bitter aftertaste in your mouth. We liked the flavors, but the Cabernet Sauvignon is very mild and that’s probably where the dry and bitter aftertaste comes from. It’s the stronger of the two drinks but still keeps a true margarita taste even with the Cabernet. It’s a good drink, but probably wouldn’t be our first choice.
It’s good, but not great
While both of these Halloween drinks didn’t spook us off, we don’t think we would make a special trip back to Hurricane Hanna’s to get them again. If you like flavorful margaritas you may enjoy either of these drinks! Just beware that the Doom-ela margarita does have a dry and bitter aftertaste.
We’ll be trying more Halloween treats around Disney World this fall, so keep following DFB for more snack reviews!

Disney World Extended Evening Hours: A Complete Guide
Your complete guide to the details, dates, and more on Extended Evening Hours at Walt Disney World Resort.
In 2020, Disney World retired their Extra Magic Hours , replacing them with two new perks for staying on property: Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours. Early Theme Park Entry is available to guests staying at any Walt Disney World Resort, allowing them to enter the parks 30 minutes prior to opening. Extended Evening Hours allow guests to stay in the parks after they close — but they are only available for those staying at select resorts.
What are Extended Evening Hours?
Disney World’s Extended Evening Hours are available for those staying at Disney World Deluxe Resorts , Deluxe Villa Resorts, as well as the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green. The perk allows guests of these hotels to enjoy extended hours on select nights at select parks, giving them the opportunity to enjoy a variety of rides and attractions with lower wait times.
