The Pittwater/Hawkesbury waterways are lovely tree covered deep-water cruising ground just north of Sydney. There are three national parks to explore and therefore huge areas that have been left in their natural state, without human development. The Pittwater arm includes many beaches and the renowned Scotland Island. The Hawkesbury River winds over 50 miles inland through spectacular sandstone cliffs, small towns, uninhabited Islands and woods. Cowan Water has a collection of coves and moorings and lies to the west of the Hawkesbury River.

Newport, the first town on the Pittwater Peninsula, is around 40 kilometres north of Sydney's international airport which has incoming direct flights from most parts of the world. If you are arriving at Sydney's international airport, there are four ways to get to the Northern Beaches; shuttle bus, municipal bus, taxi, or rental car. The best season is probably summer, (October - May) although there is good cruising all year round.

Church Point Charter (CPC) started with 2 boats in 1988 and we have gradually expanded to a fleet of 10 quality craft. From humble starts in the small office on the Church Point Ferry Wharf but in line with our expansion and customer expectations we have since moved twice, firstly in 1991 to to Sirsi Marina in Newport then in 2013 to our current home at Princes Street Marina also in Newport. CPC has been under the same ownership and hands on management from 1988 to present.

My wife and I hired a houseboat from Church Point Charters over a long weekend for our one year anniversary. Wow, what a fantastic time we had. After shopping around various houseboat hire place I settled on Church Point Charters and was very happy I did.

The service was fantastic, any questions or queries I had leading up to the weekend were prompt and the whole experience was easy and stress free. It’s rare to receive “good old fashion service” these days but that is exactly what we received.

We took out “Northern Star”, which was extremely well presented and roomy (especially as there was only two of us), everything worked as it should and we quickly made the vessel our home away from home. We were surprised how quickly the trip into the Hawkesbury was, and as I had only driven houseboats before the boat handled extremely well.

Overall we had an amazing weekend, only wishing it was a week. We are rebooking soon for out next boating experience.

Allsail Bareboat yacht or catamaran charters afford you the opportunity to you sail the less crowded waterways and stunning scenery of Pittwater, Broken Bay and the reaches of the Kur-ring-gai National Park

Regarded by many as Sydney’s best charter location, our cruising grounds are always less crowded than the harbour and with lots of available moorings.

Allsail Pittwater bareboat yacht and catamaran charters are available to charterers who have previous charter experience and the required sailing qualifications (see below).

Unspoilt, serene and surrounded by the magnificent Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, Pittwater and Broken Bay are uncrowded, with many Pittwater’s beaches only accessible by boat.

There’s usually very little swell in Broken Bay, with reliable afternoon breezes, providing exhilarating sailing conditions in these world-class cruising waterways.

Bareboat Yacht Charter - Important Information

Bareboat Yacht Charterers must have previous charter experience: IYT Skipper, ICC, Day Skipper, Inshore Certificate or similar sailing experience to Allsail’s satisfaction. Skippers or hosts and guides are also available if required.

Charterers must have a current boat licence and sign an agreement to only use the boats under power.

Allsail yacht and catamaran charters include:

• diesel, fuel and gas usage
• linen and towels for overnight stays
• basic consumables.

Charter generally starts at 9.30am and ends at 4.30pm – times may be flexible.

Friday 2pm boarding may be available for weekend charters – subject to other bookings and a fee.

Single day overnight hires attract a 20% surcharge.

Hire security deposit is $2,000 by credit card pre authorisation.
