X-Yachts CEO; Kræn Brinck Nielsen, One of the Founders; Birger Hansen, Dan Pedersen; multiple X-world champion and Director of Design and Engineering; Thomas Mielec, gave the UK X-Owners a presentation on the X-DNA, the story of X-Yachts and the future vision for the company. Part of the trip was also to understand Danish Design in general, by visiting the Danish furniture house, Ingvard Christensen in Vejle since Danish design is a strong heritage of X-Yachts. One X-Owner expressed his joy; X-Yachts build really great boats, but the X-Yacht community is the reason why I will never buy anything else than X! The XYOA hosts several UK based events throughout the year including sailing and shore based events. This year, the X-Yachts Owners Association of Great Britain and Ireland held their annual Fitting-out Lunch at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in Knightsbridge, in London. The event was well attended by the members of the association. This event also was the first to be organised by the new committee members, Paula & Nick - and bid a fond farewell to the founding committee members Max, John & John.

On the 9th & 10th October 2021, the X-Yachts Owners Association celebrated it's 10 year anniversary with a rally and lunch at the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes. 13 X-Yachts made the trip to Cowes with more members arriving by ferry and we were joined by representatives from X-Yachts GB.

Following a traditional Danish lunch, the owners had the opportunity to experience Birger Hansen, one of the original founders, as he gave a speech about the X-Yachts history. The day concluded with a visit to the showroom, where the guests experienced the X5.6, X4.9 MkII, X4.0, X4.3 and of course, the very first X-Yacht ever built - the X-79!
