If you have a savannah view room, you wakeup to exotic animals right outside your window. Both are amazing, I prefer wilderness lodge for personal reasons but it's a beautiful resort, and it's close to MK, with boat service as well. AKL it's amazing, quite, and beautifully detailed, but it's far from the other parks, 15 min at most though.

Boardwalk has the benefit of Yacht/Beach Club close by but even with those I greatly prefer the food/bars/shopping at AKL. The boats and walking paths to the parks are really convenient but I honestly didn't find it to take that much longer to get there on AKL bus most days.
