Solid wood and yet light on board

More than 45 years of experience in boat building go into the woodworking for the construction of our sailing yachts. Although modern machines make it easier for the boat builders to work in our in-house joinery, their judgement and expertise in working with different types of wood remain the most important tools. Mahogany, teak, oak or walnut, our boats offer individuality and a feel-good ambience.

And every sailing yacht contains the perfect balance of solid wood and robust laminates. The weight of the interior fittings also contributes to the solid sea behaviour and excellent sailing characteristics that characterise every sailing boat from our shipyard in Giebelstadt.

Sandwich construction for a long life of the sailing yacht

Isophthalic acid resins in the outer layers, which are used during lamination, ensure the highest quality in the hulls of our boats. They provide effective protection against osmosis and thus ensure the longevity of your sailing boat or motorboat.

The hull and deck of a BAVARIA consist of a sandwich construction with foam inserts. On sailing yachts, they are reinforced with aluminium plates where fittings are mounted. At the "wedding", the deck and hull are screwed and glued together, the most beautiful moment for us as a manufacturer - and the first step towards the finished yacht.

Unrivalled precision for outstanding sailing yacht quality

Mast foot, cleats, blocks, winches, railing supports, cockpit windows, hatches, etc: More than 40 items belong on the deck and in the cockpit of every BAVARIA. An efficient layout is an absolute must. To ensure that every piece of equipment is in the perfect place, we combine the many years of experience of our product managers, designers and boat builders with the precision of modern CAD/CAM software. This enables the exact planning, development and production of prototypes, finished products and smooth production processes. Later, when building the deck, aluminium plates are incorporated into the sandwich construction at key points in order to achieve above-average stability.

Computer-controlled milling machines and drills are used during production exactly where the product team has previously specified - to the millimetre. The millimetre-precise execution of milling and drilling determines the subsequent tightness. In order to be able to carry out this elementary work with consistently high quality, we had our own CNC system developed years ago, which is unrivalled in the yacht and boat building industry to date.

Which yachts up to 38' have an inside steering position? I know of the Moody Eclipse 33,38. I thought the Southerly 110 had inside steering but after a few searches proved a negative. The emphasis is on sailing rather than motor sailor although a good motor sailor that sails well in up to force 4 will be ok. Wifey says anything above force 5 is a NO GO ZONE! Im seriously interested in buying something suitable soon! The inside steering comes from out power boat days. shmbo says if its raining or cold she will not don the cold weather gear or go out.. Inside steering not essential but it is a serious consideration if I want to get on the water again! Cliff Cliff

Colvic Watson, Fishers, Nauticats, Claymore... plenty of wheelhouse-equipped vessels. OK, so some will not come alive till F3, but they will provide shelter warmth and a great feeling of security and confidence. The great thing about a wheelhouse is sailing in shirtsleeves when every one else is in full foulies.

Why would you want an inside steering position? - It takes up space - You have to double up on cables and controls Go for a good autopilot on the steering quadrant and a remote control, what could be better and it is much more versatile. - Tend to something up the bow - put out fenders - adjust / take in sails and you can still steer.  

Wheel and tiller on my 22'er. It makes perfect sense on a motor-sailer.The wheel takes up no space at all.

ARP has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 charter guests in 4 suites.

The guest cabins comprise a primary suite with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities and 3 cabins with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom facilities.

Your luxury charter crew

Your luxury charter on board sailing yacht ARP will be managed by the crew of 3 including the captain.

The crew will ensure you have a relaxed and enjoyable charter experience with all of your needs catered for while on board.

The 3 crew have their own separate crew quarters allowing guests to enjoy increased levels of privacy.
