Wine, Sailing, and San Diego

One of the best ways to enjoy the water is with a glass of wine in hand while your captain cruises past the sights of the San Diego Bay. Being able to relax in total luxury and comfort, especially while on vacation or even after a long work week, is something that San Diego Sailing Tours strives to provide for all of our guests.
In California, winemaking began in the 18th century when colonists from Spain first planted grapes and established vineyards. Much of California sits on similar latitude ranges as prime winemaking regions such as Bordeaux and La Mancha, making it perfect for cultivating Old World grapes in New World styles. California accounts for nearly 90% of the U.S.’s wine production, and California varietals have quickly gained notoriety as some of the best wines in the world.
Enjoying a glass of wine aboard one of our classically-restored sailing yachts evokes a memory of luxury, when sailing was the perfect way to mark an extraordinary vacation. As you take in the sights of San Diego you can feel the nostalgia and the glamour of sailing.
So what’s the best way to go sailing while also enjoying a glass of wine? By letting one of our professional captains take care of sailing at the helm while you kick back, relax, and unwind on the beautiful San Diego Bay.
